“dreadful website useless for payments”

Ive ordered twice with them, I supposedly have an account with them, I have an account number but cannot pay online at all, the result is that I was in default paying. Also they have a premium line phone number Most of the time they are out of stock even when it says in stock and tbh its not that good quality I now have to call the premium line which presumably will be overseas which is totally useless for Hard of hearing people

I'm sorry to hear of your experience, please note that in order to access our online service be able to place and order, and check your balance and pay your account balance online you will first need to register your account number for online use. This can be done by going to the website, clicking on 'your account, then 'returning customer', then 'register your account'. You will then be able to make full use of our online services.

Also we do not operate a premium line number, if you go to the website and look to the footer of the page there is a tab titled 'contact us' within there you will find our customer services phone number. Please note that calls cost from 1p per minute and our customer care department is UK based.

“Can't obtain refund”

I bought a steam mop from this company. The mop was faulty and when I contacted 24ACE they said that they would organise collection of the item from my home, following which I would receive a full refund within 3 to 5 working days. The item was collected 2 days later (at 7pm) and after the 5 days expired I telephoned 24ACE to ask when I could expect to receive the refund. It was at this point that I was told the refund would take 14 working days (a direct contradiction to information provided in the previous conversation). Sixteen days later I received a catalogue and a credit note in place of the promised refund. I immediately phoned them again and was told that the credit note was issued by mistake and that the cheque had been issued the previous week. A week later the cheque arrived; however it was unsigned and my bank were unable to process it. Once again, I telephoned 24ACE and was told to destroy the cheque and they would issue another immediately. 5 days later no cheque received Telephoned 24ACE to establish the situation regarding the cheque and to complain that to continually chase them via a premium line phone number was very expensive. I was told to keep copies of my phone bill as they would reimburse the charges incurred. More apologies about the delayed issue and that it should be received any day. 2 days later I received a phone call from a 24ACE employee asking me to return the unsigned cheque in order for them to have it signed and returned to me!!!!!!! I recounted the story to date. After more apologies I suggested that they process the refund by way of bank to bank transfer; I was told that "we don't do that". Again, I was told another cheque would be issued immediately. That conversation took place 2 days ago and we are still waiting for the refund. To be continued..........

“rubbish merchants DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE”

placed an order which the cat. which had across the front in big letters postage free, 1st statement included a lot of postage charges. When contacting the customer service told the postage would be removed and a credit note issued. Instead we received statement 2 which went from goods of 11.98 to a bill for 24.98 THIS IS IN UNDER A MONTH

“Diabolical Service”

I used Ace for just over a month & ordered about four or five items with them however the trouble I had with there service was appalling. Not only did I find they had numerous errors with their website but I found items that stated where in stock on there website was actually out of stock. Also I placed an order with them & received an email shortly after stating that they had received my order when after nearly two weeks after not receiving it I contacted them to find out where my order had got to only for a member of there staff tell me that they had not received my order. This company is the shambles.

“never had a problem with this company”

I usually order products from 24Ace near christmas time as they have some genuinely great bargains.I've ordered cards, calendars, decorations,gifts, clothing, footwear, household items, bedding & curtains. All arrived promptly & in good condition. If something's out of stock they email me straight away or provide me with a suitable alternative. For example the calendar i ordered was unavailable so they sent me 2 others as an alternative which I thought was good customer service. It also helps if you can pay for your order in full when you get your statement as you then avoid paying any interest.

“appalling service”

I advise anybody against ordering from this company. The level of knowledge and customer service from the staff is shocking. They constantly contradict one another. After an issue with my order I was told my items were out of stock. 20 minutes later I received another email from a different person informing me the items were indeed in stock and he had sent them. Im now receiving emails that dont answer the questions im asking and again told that my items are out if stock. I have asked for details of how to complain and surprise surprise that part of my email was ignored as well. Avoid this company!!!! They are cheap for a reason!!!!!

“Out of stock”

Not the first time I have had customer service issues with this company, so why do I keep using them? Well they do have some genuine bargains an d I have had some really nice things from them. On this occasion, I ordered something online which came up immediately out of stock, fair enough, tried something else, in stock, great, 24 hours later I got an email to say it was out of stock. Didn't want to pay the postage again (£4.99) so I called them and they agreed and offered me the same out of stock item again. Got another email 2 days later saying it was out of stock, so I called them to ask for free postage again. "We can't keep giving you free postage because its' out of stock" dreadful customer service. Obviously your system is severely flawed and not updating properly so why should I have to pay for that?

“Last time...never again”

I have shopped with this company before several years ago and never had any problems but this last time has put me off ever using them again. I place an order after receiving a discount book and special code. I was happy with the price I was expecting to pay according to the acknowledge email I received from them. 10 days later I receive my order in full but was shocked when I seen the total price. It had went from £22 delivered to £52. It looked like my discount code had not been processed even though it went through when I checked my order email. On checking their t & c, they should have contacted me to inform me that there had been a pricing error or they should have cancelled my order. They did neither, leaving me with a large bill to pay. There is a cooling off period which I could return my order but my items were personalised so cant be returned. I have emailed them to get some kind of answer to my problem but I am expecting a long process of fighting them going by others experiences. I do NOT recommend anyone use this company. Please pay attention to the bad reviews you have been warned. I will be cancelling my account if and when I get my issues resolved.

“Payment methods”

Why do they not give the opportunity to make a standing order? They refuse to accept this method of payment, using the website continually comes up with an error and if leaves you with the ONLY option which is to call their customer service. Whilst I have no general complaint about the goods as you should know what you are buying the service and in particular the payment facilities offered are RUBBISH.

“They dont even deserve one star”

Been stuck with 24 ace after opening an account and been silly enough to order things :/ its is completely my fault and i have learnt my lesson, now im paying them off every month only to be slapped with a late payment on my creedit file. Called them several times asked to recheck payment history they could not say where the late payment was because there wasnt one due to me paying every month how ever they refuse to take the late payment off my file, its now been ten months and still nothing resolved, worst customer service ever as previously said in a past review, DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

“Bermuda triangle for returns!”

I have had to arrange for someone to be at home for the past four, going on, five weeks to have a faulty item uplifted. Phone calls elisit assurance that it will be picked up within the next 7 days, but no one ever turns up. I have also contacted them by email which results in an apology and a promise that it will be picked up in 7 days, but still no show. As they won't credit your account until they receive the item back, I'm now begining to feel that this company is only just shy of being fraudulent as they continue to ask for payment. I will not shop with them again and intend to cancel a promised replacement.

“Worst customer services ever!”

Ordered an item which became faulty. I have been waiting 6 months for Ace to organise a collection!!! I have called and called but no one can ever help! Emails have been bouncing back and forth but I always receive the same generic response - we will collect within 7 days'. “rubbish!”

I ordered a few personalised items for my son as xmas presents and two of them came broken. Called to have them returned and this was resolved with a new one however my experience in general was still appauling!! customer service is rubbish and most of all the quality of products is rubbish! To top it off aswell,i got charges that came from nowhere on my bill so ended up paying alot more than i should have done! They were such bad quality and i can safely say I will never be ordering from them again.

“Not a good experience!”

This was my first (and last) experience with Ace! I ordered a personalised kids toy for a Christmas present. When I received it, it was broken. I had to phone to arrange to return it and have a replacement sent. Seems simple enough doesn't it. The customer service staff were to be fair friendly and seemed helpful BUT half the time what they said they would do didn't actually happen. I therefore had to spend more & more time and money phoning back and going over the same thing. The couriers were not at all helpful in timing collections/deliveries, and when I made mention of this to Ace they had nothing useful to say. The quality of the item was okay but not worth all the hassle had to go through. I will not be using this company again.

“Wrong product and plenty of inconvenience ”

Ordered a product had emails confirming on its way and no problems. Wrong product turned up and basically they dont care less . Just said my product was out of stock so this was a replacement and had debited account for same amount despite the product sent being much cheaper. Attitude was very much that's what we do and now i have all the inconvenience of sorting it out. I would not rely on them to deliver any presents required for christmas based on this experience and will be closing any dealings with them immediately. Very poor experience.

“Returns”

After being a good customer for years, I have ordered a pair of boots which do not fit, I phoned customer service and was told I would have to pay for the return of the boots, I would never order cloths or boots from this company ever again as I have already paid for the delivery of these boots, I think it is unfair to ask to pay for the return also, most company's would pay for the return. I will shop else were in future.
