Legoland Windsor must be the most expensive family day out in the UK! However, I don't think that many families on our day out (May 30th) paid full price. I think that our Tesco Club Card entry vouchers were the only way I'd pay for a day in this theme park.
As we only have a two year old, she was limited to certain rides, of which we managed to go on 4 all day. The two main attractions we wanted to take her on (Laser Raiders and Boating School) had over 1.5hrs wait each - not practical with a 2 year old. The only way to ensure we went on anything would be to purchase a Q-Bot, which would add at least £20 to the day if both of us wanted to go on rides ( £10 per person on the Q-Bot, with under 3's free). These devices, in effect, seem to add even more to the waiting times, as the rides are quite small, and it on every run at least one car is taken up with Q-Bot users, you end up waiting even longer!
My wife's cash card was swallowed by the link machine. She was then told in no uncertain terms that it was nothing to do with Legoland, and they would not be advising any other guest that the cash machine appeared to be broken!
My daughter did enjoy what she was able to go on, and spent a long time in Duplo Land's water play park. However, we would probably think twice about visiting again.
If you do decide to go:
Wait until your little ones are at least 90cm tall!
Find an advanced purchase ticket.
Take your own food.
Arrive early and hit the main rides as soon as you get there.

legoland is a very popular theme park particularly with the Americans. This is a very crowded park even in the off peak season and you will have to wait for ages it the queues.

I found Legoland an excellent family day out. My children are 9 and 3. There were rides for both of them which was very good. The park is well set out and access with pushchairs is better than alot of parks. Mini city area was excellent. Really loved looking at mini countries.

We went to Legoland yesterday [16/4/09] 2 adults and 2 children £36 per adult and 2 child free vouchers, otherwise the cost would have been over a £100 extortionate price considering most rides we had to queue for 1 1/2 hrs. Many complaints will never go again. Although a nice day out rides not manged very well, example many rides take 4 to 6 people and only 2 people were put in the seats.

A Legoland visit used to be the highlight of our year. We haven't been for three years and what a depressing visit we have just had.
Instead of walking through beautifully landscaped gardens with well-kept rides, demonstrating wit and fun, it is now a cramped, overcrowded designed to make you part with as much money as possible.
Many of the original Lego models throughout the park are looking very grubby and unkempt. The gardens are being gradually reduced to be replaced by more souvenir stalls and atrocious fast food stalls.
We were there all day and only went on 2 rides, which were fun, but my kids ( 10 and 11) balked at a 1.5h wait in a queue. The vaunted Q-Bot to minimise the amount of time you have to spend in a queue is £10 per person, an appalling mark-up on the price of an entry ticket. Evidence of industrial sponsors is now too obvious everywhere, even in miniland.
With regret, as we have many happy memories of being there, we won't be going again.

I have been going to Legoland since it opened in 1996. When it opened it was such an impressive place to bring children and they were well accommodated. I now feel the aim is to get as many people through the gates as possible, even offering free upgrades to an annual pass. The standards of cleanliness is steadily falling. The park is aimed at the under 10's so you can expect this age group or indeed any age group to queue for 2 hours for a 2 minute ride. In my opinion the food is inferior quality and very expensive, so a I recommend a packed lunch with plenty of drinks, to keep them going during their long waits.

Legoland
Legoland is a boring awful theme park for children. I would not advise going there on a hot afternoon...or any day!!
The food was horrible, you have to que up before you can do anything! The lego scuptures are good though thats worth a look. Luckly theres no queues for that!

Worth a trip if you have Tesco vouchers or similar. Otherwise don't bother

I found Lego Land very disasappointing for the cost of £60 entrance fee (family of 4) and that was a special offer!
