I have used ATS in Welwyn Garden City several times and have always been very happy. The service has been good, they haven't over charged and they have been happy for me to watch / inspect their work every time. I will happily return there for tyres, alignment and AC regas with no issues.

ATS recharged my Air-Con in July 2022. I used it for the remainder of that summer. When I attempted to use it on the first warm day of 2023 it had reverted to the original poor operation. I contacted ATS who replied with this comment. "In relation to the aircon regas service, a leak test and pressure test is conducted on all vehicles. During the test, if any faults regarding the air conditioning system are picked up the system will automatically stop the aircon regas job. If no faults appear, the system will go ahead to the recharge the aircon to the manufacturing standards. Having said this, in some cases if the vehicle has a small leak, the system may not be able to pick this up on and an aircon regas will be carried out." So basically they test first but if there equipment does not pick up any fault which they admit can happen they will still re-charge. Also they offer no warranty. Everything appears to be in ATS favour leaving me out of pocket in having to have it recharged again. Awful service and awful Customer service.

Ordered 4 tyres online - (£525) to be fitted on 12/12/22. Phone call on the Monday morning saying tyres not in. Asked for a refund as I still needed new tyres as my car had its MOT on the Thursday. Was told it will take 10 working days to process. No email confirmation of this. Called head office on 14/12/22 and spoke to an extremely condescending member of staff who couldn’t be bothered to apologise to me and just kept saying that that was the company policy. Husband managed to speak to the area manager who said the refund should only take 3-5 days. It’s now day 8 and I’m still out of pocket!! We are now only 5 days away from Christmas and I need my money back! I’ve contacted the complaints department and will see what they have to say. I think this is disgusting treatment and I will never use this company again. Angry is an understatement!!!

Be careful using their website to buy tyres. I bought 2 tyres online and arranged for a fitting at one of their centres. Got a call from the centre manager almost immediately to say the tyres are out of stock and not available for for nearly two months. No alternative offered just a refund. The refund has taken a week to be processed. Looking at their twitter account this has been happening for a while but they can't be bothered to fix their website.

I ordered 4 new run flat tyres to be fitted online, booked an appointment at local branch and paid £500 online. I then received a call from the local branch a few days later explaining that they don’t have that tyre in stock, won’t until late October and don’t have any other brands that size until late October. He said he didn’t understand why the ATS website were taking these orders and it had happened to many others recently. I called customer services, they said that a refund would be given but that it could take 7 working days to be issued! They also said they don’t have a stock checking system online so this often happens, they take peoples money for a product they don’t have and keep it in their bank earning interest for themselves. I asked to speak to a Supervisor / Manager to complain, they said that this is not possible, you can only put it in writing and have to wait several business days for a response which is frustrating. Furthermore, I needed these new tyres for the car to pass it’s MOT that is coming up and now can’t afford to pay for new tyres until I eventually receive the refund which, if it is 7 business days, is after the MOT so thanks ATS. I wouldn’t recommend buying tyres online with ATS to anyone. This is happening to others so beware

Please don't go here. I booked a mot 3 weeks in advance. When i turned up they cancelled my mot and said "oh did no one tell you it is cancelled?!" And just shrugged it off saying they don't know when i could rebook AFTER i paid online for the mot. Shocking customer service.

My daughter called to ask ? About mot she is 21 and this is the first time of doing this without me helping due to being away the way they spoke to her is disgusting then put phone down i don’t talk to my kids like that and I would love to know what one spoke to her like that I would go down and pull him over his desk and teach him some manners but I will be going there when I’m back to have words with the so called manger as it unacceptable For anyone to talk to anyone that way let alone a customer Pembroke is depot to go to waiting times low all staff have manners and happy to help so if you want good customer service and be spoken to like a person then Pembroke the ats to use try it you will never go back to hwest terrible customer service I only given 1 star cos I have to

I had mot done 9/10/21 failed because reversing lights defective (major problem) was surprised because the day b4 had all lights checked prior to mot but thought maybe a bulb had gone !? Went home checked reversing lights they were fine !!!!!! Phoned next morning spoke to Ats Eastleigh and questioned why it had failed ?? Bring it back they said ! I did retested and passed ???!!! I questioned the man at reception and asked why it had failed previous day and he said though he wasn’t in the previous day of the test that they hadn’t worked and the tester had 15 yrs experience!!?? my issue is good customer service is to admit mistakes and rectify and then no review needed bad customer service is to try and justify mistake and compound it by telling me of the tester’s experience!!?? now I’m wondering what if any of the minor defects are genuine I’m going to go to a proper garage and get them checked by a mechanic !! It’s a shame because my 1st time of using ats has resulted in my last time of using ats

ATS Reading I had paid for £55.83 for 4 wheel alignment service as part of the Black circle order. The service center is not giving any evidence of doing it. No printout No Digital copy of what alignment issues were resolved as printer not working. My car stood in one place for whole of the time. When asked, they saying they used laser alignment where it was standing. In the past every service center has given me a report. i do not recommend this service

Staff at the Twickenham ATS were great. I was dismayed, however, to discover that I had paid £492 for my car to be fitted with "new" tyres that were actually more than 2.5 years old. Seeing that the industry advice is to change tyres that are older than 6, or 8 years old, this 2.5year age represents a significant proportion of the tyre's lifespan. I complained to customer services who said that this was not abnormal and that they will fit tyres up to five years old. After this the tyres are sent back to the manufacturer. I have never had tyres fitted to any of my vehicles that were this old before, and I will not risk going back to ATS again.

Avoid like the plauge Caused damage to my vehicle by jacking incorrectly and won't admit liability. Didn't tell me a jacking pad was missing and went ahead anyway then came to tell me I had non existent uneven tyre wear. I believe its ATSs policy to tell customers there are faults when there aren't USE LOCAL INDEPENDENT TYRE PLACES, you won't regret it

Hornchurch branch Thanks guys for all your efforts in getting me booked in for tyre change on black ford van especially since the original locking nut key was so badly damaged and unable to do it's job. Would definitely recommend keep up the good work will be back when other vehicles need doing

Terrible service. My mom was twice told her air conditioning couldn't be done because of issues with the machine(after waiting an hour). The third time she took it she was told she had a leak in her air conditioning unit and her brakes pads and disks needing replacing urgently. She then took the car to two specialist garages who told her there was no leak in the air conditioning and her brakes had 10000 miles left on them. She has had no response from anyone at ATS despite numerous calls and emails.

I'd like to express my utter disappointment at the Burnley branch. I booked, and more crucially paid for 4 tyres to be fit this morning at 0830 hours. The day before fitting I received a missed call from an unknown number. I didn't recognise it so I didn't ring it back, thinking if it was important they would ring back or at the very least leave a voicemail. As it turns out it was very important, as it was the Burnley branch ringing to say that they can't get my tyres. Obviously this wasn't important to the Burnley branch as they told my wife when she went to drop my car off the morning of fitting . It's not just a case of the tyres being delayed, apparently they can't get them full stop. The phone call that wasn't too important was to tell me they could get other tyres, but because I didn't ring them back they didn't bother doing anything else about it. Why are you advertising tyres for sale when according to the Burnley branch you don't actually have them? I am expecting a call from the Burnley branch manager, but based on my experience I'm not holding my breath. Mistakes happen, I understand that, but this is falling more into incompetence. I finally contacted the branch 6 hours after the manager started who basically blamed it on head office. Amazingly as I rung him, he was just about to ring me. I'm not sure i believe him. In fact I honestly do not believe him. He told me he was refunding my money and told me it would take 3 days or so. Until I reminded him it was a bank holiday weekend, Friday and Monday. His response? OH. What an absolutely useless company. And one I will NEVER use again.

I had to take my car to ATS Kettering today for a new tyre. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, explained everything to me clearly and there were no hidden costs. I was extremely impressed with the work done. I appreciated being shown the tracking results on the screen, and thought the costs were fair for the work done and products used.I also found the waiting area comfortable, not draughty, and there was a free coffee machine.

Never again. Car booked in for new tyre at a specific time. I arrived early. No priority accorded to booked time. Technician seemed to working on more than one car (when he wasn't on his 'phone). The tyre change took very nearly an hour. Unacceptable performance so I shall never return.

After reading many reviews on the Stirchley Branch. I was a bit nervous. However, I was totally impressed with their attitude and professionalism. I needed to be somewhere quickly and after telling them, they were straight on it, Changed all four tyres in a very quick time. Many women don't like going to garages full of chatting blokes waiting for cars in the office...I didn't feel intimidated...I was offered tea and coffee and the office is clean tidy and warm....they even brought my car right to the front office...showing they had taken notice of my disability badge...thankyou guys I will be back and will recommend you to my friends etc.

I need winter tyres every other winter.. I purchase online from a 4x4 specialist, take them to ATS and have the summer tyres removed , winter fitted plus balancing etc....money for old rope !! Oh no says the chap on the phone..we only fit tyres bought through us.........I asked why you have changed policy? ...we havn't said the lad on the phone.... if you do not want my business then say so...a garage elsewhere will fit them on monday..your loss as I will not use you for anything in the future..really, really stupid.

Order and paid for 4 tyres on line - over £600. Booked appointment. The next day they call to say they have not got the tyres and it will take a week for them to give me my money back. I called and they said their online system is not linked to their stock system - they take the money off you first and then check to see if they can get the tyres.

So I ordered 4 tyres online using my registration number as a baseline for my new tyres. Their website indicated 2 possible Michelin tyres at 95 and 97 pounds each. No difference in fitting and both tyres would be adequate ( so their website indicated). After great discount total bill came to 298 for all four tyres Turned up at ATS Saltash. So here’s the situation. Give a rediculously low price on line, tyres not suitable for vehicle but good price. customer turns up and for convenience since they need new tyres they pay the extra. Contacted customer service they were very unhelpful and said their online website didn’t work that well. I cancelled tyres Noticed at 10 in the morning I was the only customer. Obviously localls have cottoned on to these merchants.

Who's to say you haven't got a leak after they regassed it, doing this sort of job is much like an MOT, just because it passed yesterday, doesn't mean it will pass today.

Fair point. I can only give my opinion on my experience. Also they changed their story half way through their response. All I can do is publish my thoughts and let people make up there own minds. Thanks for finding the time to read and respond.
