Like others before me, was pleasantly surprised by the supposed cost for a few days car rental - £20 for 3 days. Renault was as expected and was brand new so no problems there. Had bought my own excess insurance online at a cost of £6 for three days. Was told this wasn't valid and would either have to block out my credit card with £1200 or pay £16/day excess insurance via them. I could make this limit over 2 credit cards but was not allowed to do this neither could I pay on my partners card with the available limit, so instead had to pay the costly insurance. Marred the experience significantly. To top it off, could not pay in cash either so had card charges and currency charges on top. Despite this being shown in the car hire firms copy of the terms and conditions, I saw no mention of the blocking out of a single card at £1200. This should have been clearer and so avoided the charges.

No fuss, easy to use car hire website. I use it when hiring a car for business and private travel. Does what it says on the site.

The car is not at the airport as described, a smoke and mirrors setup. Not clear on website that you will need the card you paid with at the airport as proof otherwise you get hit by additional insurance premium. Considering my husband paid for the car on his card this meant the premium incurred cost more than the rental of the car. Will never use again!

Picked up a seat toledo diesel in Cork March 15. Quick collection and drop off on return.

I would recommend Nova service over other car rentals.

never again, the worst hire company ever used. The quote we had wasn't the correct one so we end up spending 200 euros more that quoted, insurance bought through this company was useless. STAY AWAY

I live in Ireland, and I usually rent cars from Nova when I can plan my trips well in advance in the country or abroad (United States, France, Spain, and Italy so far). They have a great selection of cars that are normally cheaper than any of the other providers. I have never been let down by the service, and any time that I have had a question or complaint (only twice due to rental companies not adhering to T&Cs) they have dealt with it promptly and efficiently. I decided to hire a car for the week whilst working in Belfast. The time previously I had hired taxis and spent a fortune (even from Belfast Int airport to the City) Very simple online booking and pick up from the airport terminal. Car I hired was very basic but immaculate and eco and extremely cheap to hire!. Drop off was simple and nearby airport with an added door to door service to departure doors. Only thing that I did not like was the pressure to take additional excess insurance at the pick up point which would have bumped up the price x 3. I was made to feel that I was taking a huge risk by not paying out for the additional excess insurance. I decided not to take it out and all was well. I think it should be pointed out on the online booking system and maybe mentioned at the desk but ultimately it is my decision so it should not be laboured. Other than that, good service and deal and I would use again.

We've have rented cars through Nova both in Europe and N. America and the experience has always been great. The check ins have always been seamless and more often than not we have ended up with an upgrade. I would also recommend getting your extra insurance coverage through Nova to save even more money.

Nothing special to say except that everything was in order. Car ready when we arrived. Good and fast service, and above all good prices.

Booked car on line and ticked to waive access. When collecting car at Dublin Airport was advised that I would still need to take out another insurance cover with Europcar. Had not noticed this whilst booking????Two choices either pay and additional £22.00/£26.00 per day or a holding desposit of £1200.00!!! on a credit card. So called the insurance company who cancelled the policy with no fuss, so that we could take the insurance waive cover with Europcar. Very missleading when booking, only actually stayed with Europcar as was late at night and had small children with us, so didn't have time to try another car company. Will book with car hire company direct next time :(

I hired a 5 door automatic Yaris. Lovely little car and economical. Picked up Later than planned and dropped off later than planned but no penalty. Very straightforward and quick to get through initial paperwork. Drove this little car round the south island of NZ for 10 days and very happy with the experience.
