I do not recomend this website at all. When I needed assistance the member of staff I spoke to on the phone was very unhelpful. I have never known to get tickets being so stressful!

People often complain about the level of booking fees that Ticketmaster charges but they should be aware that the fees are agreed by Ticketmaster with the promoter or event organiser and often 50% of that fee is going to the promoter not Ticketmaster.

Ticketmaster should have given notification that on the last Saturday over half the advertised attractions would not be there and offered reduced seat prices accordingly. As it is many peole paid out full prices and only got less then half of an event, and there is no way those tents leaving was "an event or circumstance beyond it's reasonable control", to quote section 9 of their rules.

Never had a problem with this company. Ordered tickest using the automated telephone system two weeks ago and received the tickets today, 2 months and three weeks before event. Had booked Winehouse tickets last year and received text informing me of cancellation and refund was very quick too. Can't complain.

This company have been a complete waste of time. Paid over £330 for tickets, i have travel plans but can't go as the tickets still haven't arrived. Customer non-service have been a total waste of time. Not recommended.

I always get awesome tickets for not a lot of money. I love Ticketmaster, even though sometimes they don't have the best seats.

Way too complicated website, way to long time for ordering on phone

I bought tickets off ticket master as soon as they came out for the rihanna concert in the liverpool echo arena. i am now still waiting for these tickets to come with only a week left. They say that they send the tickets out straight away but obvious i got them months ago with getting them so close. Its not just about the money its the experience you think you are going to have. I will be very upset if the tickets donot come and so will be my family and friends who are joining me. They say don't phone until 5 days before the event but dont you think that it abit short notice. I don't think i will ever use Ticketmaster again. I hope they sort themselves out soon.
i would give them 2/10 as it was very easy giving them my details and fairly quick but there ok getting the money off you its just getting the product you have paid for.

Buy ALL my tickets from Ticketmaster, NEVER had a single problem. Wouldn't go anywhere else for tickets.

I have ordered tickets from Ticketmaster three times, and on each occasion they didn't arrive. I have always had to collect them at the box office, and they didn't refund the post costs. The person I spoke to on the phone was rude and very unhelpful.

Ticketmaster didn't deliver the tickets and when I collected the tickets at the venue they were standing (I was ordering the seating ones) It was the worse experience I've ever had.

Be very careful, go with a ticket system that actually has a physical office.

I've used Ticketmaster maybe 10 times over the past couple of years, and it has become my first port of call when looking to get tickets for an event. Mostly I've used Ticketmaster for sporting events, but have also got hold of gig tickets and live stand-up shows.
I can't really complain too much about the set-up of the website, which allows you to search in terms of team/act, venue or date. They have always had tickets for the type of events I've been interested in. The site gives you plenty of choice in terms of ticket banding and seat locations. After crunching the numbers for a few seconds it indicates the available seats to you in a very clear fashion, also supplying handy seating charts appropriate to venue arrangement particular to the event.
What I don't like are the hidden costs, which appear after you've chosen the seats, in the form of processing charges, credit card charges and delivery costs, which often add up to £10 to the overall cost.
Once you've paid for the tickets, Ticketmaster seem very keen to update you on the progress of the order through emails confirming the order has been placed, when it is dispatched, and sending event reminders a few days before the event. Unfortunately they sometimes go a little too far and get a bit muddled up. Recently, they told me I would have to pick up tickets at the venue on the day, then the day before the event I got an email telling me the tickets had been dispatched. Luckily it was an error, and the tickets were waiting for me.
To date, however, all my tickets have either arrived with plenty of time to spare or have been waiting for me at the venue. Having read another review, I can see why collecting tickets can be annoying if the tickets were for someone else, but I think the policy of requiring the cardholder to be present helps prevent fraud and ticket-touts.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with Ticketmaster and will use them again in future.

Hi Matt,

When you received the email telling you your ticket has been dispatched, I agree this is confusing. It means that your ticket has now been dispatched to the venue and not to yourself. I had the same thing with my T in the Park tickets.

A little useful hint for future tickets, with regards to extra fees - Find the ticket you want on Ticketmaster and go through to checkout to get the full cost then do it with both See Tickets and Ticketline. If the promoter has not got an exclusive deal with Ticketmaster you can usually get your tickets cheaper at one of the other outlets. Only a few times I have found Ticketmaster to be the cheapest or the only supplier.

Also for sold out events try Scarletmist.

Thanks for the comment Franky Baby. I do find that a lot of reviews on this website are written by angry people immediately after they've had a bad experience and it's a shame, because it negatively skews the overall rating. I've only written a few reviews so far but I always try to present an even viewpoint, factoring in the good and the bad experiences.

Great review, it's good to see someone being objective for once. People are very quick to slag off Ticketmaster but I can honestly say I've no major problems with them.. apart from the extra hidden costs (which are very annoying), but you pay them anyway.. and most ticket agents do the same. All in all they're reliable, people should read your review and take note!

This company needs to be more honest about what you get with a VIP ticket, as at £300, lot's of people at the event expected more for their money. The act was great though!
Written on: 16/08/2007
Hey, sounds like you had a bad time with the VIP stuff.. what event was it? Can I just say though - I have bought loads of tickets from Ticketmaster and have no complaints, surely your issues really lie with the organisers of the event itself rather than the people who sell the tickets..?!
Written on: 16/08/2007
The event was Prince at the 02, yes you are correct in stating that the organisers are partly to blame but surely when Ticketmaster are promoting the event as a VIP event with buffet etc they should be sure that is what you are getting! They are the ones at the end of the day taking your £300 per ticket
I believe there has also been issues with Ticketmaster selling aftershow tickets where they insinuate that Prince would be there playing but they are now backtracking saying it was never guaranteed.
I'm afraid its a matter of marketing spin taking precedence over what you actually get which is a shame as Prince was great!

When I ordered my ticket from Ticketmaster it was not delivered. I was advised to collect a re-printed one before the event but it was a gift for someone else. They further advised me that only the card holder can collect them. Because the event takes place on Monday I have to take a day off, travel from Brighton to London just to collect the ticket and hand it over to a person whom I bought it as a gift!
The did not call me back as promised, average waiting time for someone to answer - 15 minutes. HORRIBLE COMPANY - DO NOT BUY TICKETS THROUGH THEM!!!
I am wondering if they are going to pay an equivalent for my day off and trip to London? Rhetorical question...

Pay your money and worry. I will use any other agency before this one again.

Ticketmaster provided me with the worst customer service I have ever received. They never call back when they say they will and I've been lied to several times just to get me off the phone. I'm trying to get nearly £500 pounds back after my tickets were lost and I ended up having to buy another £500 worth the night before we left for the festival. I had made several calls the week before and was told something would be worked out! Yeah.....I've worked it out now! Ticketmaster customer service is rubbish.

They have stopped using the Royal Mail and now have a 'postal partner'. It costs about a fiver to get the tickets delivered which was bad enough but now you have to be handed the tickets in person so you can sign for them. I needed time off work for this then, brilliant. I can think of better things to do with my holidays than sit around waiting for someone to deliver tickets that I have paid a premium for. Like go on holiday for example. Go back to the Royal Mail where at least you could nip down to the post office to sign for your tickets if you were out when they got delivered!

Actually I think you'll find that Ticketmaster do NOT state that you will receive your tickets straight away, hence why it's best to leave it til 5 days before the event to contact them if you haven't received your tickets. Give them chance. I have never had any problems with Ticketmaster and I have ordered a lot of tickets from them. Sure, they are over priced but people are too quick to slag them off.
