written by 1990Edmondson on 30/05/2015

Force customers to pay for something which Tesco mobile can't provide a service constant liars and fall back on what they agree terrible network to be with poor signal and faulty devices and appalling complaints handling they confirm after months of trying to replace problems with the service that it's there fault you can't get service but expect you to pay for something that can't be used

“BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Haydengc194 on 17/05/2015

Experienced the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered an new nano sim for my sons new iphone 5C that he was getting for his birthday. I was sent a Micro sim (tesco error). When I contacted them I was told it would take further 3 days to send another sim. This would be too late for my sons birthday. I was then advised to buy one from a Tesco store. My nearest store is 15 miles away. I drive to the store to be advised they do not stock Nano sims and these need to be ordered online. Back home on live chat I was advised 3 days if I order a new one. I have asked them to do a special delivery to make up for their error and so my son has a sim for his phone otherwise he will not be able to use his present. The answer is no - do you want the sim in 3 days or not basically. They are not willing to do anything to keep customers happy. Needless to say we are now changing networks. Tesco loss - all family in household currently with Tesco

“Shocking Service from the Big Gorilla ”

★★☆☆☆

written by Dyas on 12/05/2015

Purchased an iphone 5- wrong sized SIM issued on 2 occasions so was 10 days before the phone was usable - Tesco charged me for this period. Phone was faulty and only solution was to send phone back which would take another 7-10 days. So had phone for a 6 weeks and was unable to use for 3 weeks. Customer services passed me from pillar to post

Dispute over daughter's tesco mobile. Why do they have 'Customer Care'? There was no care involved in my dealings with them and they have now lost me as a customer. Not that they will care.

Supplied phone was always a problem and when stopped working completely with 3 months left on a 24 month contract when i could have a new phone would not replace unless i paid some money up front. Staff were not helpful at all. Worst company have ever dealt with.

“Right even when they are Wrong”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Leachlv495 on 19/04/2015

Decided to buy a sim card from Tesco to use in my mobile as was with O2. Put it in phone and registered my details. 18p appeared as well as someone persons phone numbers. I took it back to the shop and they phoned customer service. They insisted it was a new sim card and 20p was added and 2p was taking off for internet charges.

“brilliant network”

★★★★★

written by stevo1983 on 16/03/2015

I've been with Tesco mobile now for about 7 months. I've got a sim only and a phone contract. Ye the delivery time is longer than most networks, 3-5 days. Both of mine came in 2 days. Great network coverage, great customer service anytime I've had to speak to them ( only spoke to them to add stuff to my contract). There as good as any other network and they run on 02's network. Couldn't recommend them enough. Sweet mobile provider in my book. Was with ee before and these are well better for 4g coverage. Go with Tesco lid

“Made to feel like a thief!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by KieraFitzgerald43 on 09/03/2015

What a great deal advertised in the Sun, Ordered over the phone 2 weeks later rang to ask where it was? 1st payment gone from my direct debit!we will look into it sir",then the nasty letters from debt agency started! OMG never stole in my life... I am so lucky I kept all records and e-mails,letters, to and from Tesco, and was able to prove to the agency I had not received a phone. so' they kept my £10 from my direct debit now cancelled, "now who is the THIEF". I get superb service from Virgin mobile and wouldn't risk trying to upgrade again.BEWARE !

“Bad customer experience and unexplained call charges...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by EleanorSinclair on 27/02/2015

Just had a shocking experience with tesco mobile customer chat line. Am on pay as you go since beginning of this year and can't see my usages but have been seeing these big charges which does not make sense. The chat line lady mentioned that I have been making these calls to a 078 number. When she typed it out for me I can't recognise it only to find that it is tesco mobile voicemail. Presumably I have been charged for all missed calls that went to voice mail. I was not even aware I had voicemail. It's turned off now and have just purchased their their 500 MB data bundle that I can hopefully keep better track off using an app on the phone. There are still other unexplained charges on the bill but the chat line conveniently died before we could go into detail. To be honest if those charges had been made transparent to me, I would not have minded so much. Hopefully with the ofcom changes planned this year, this will all be a thing of the past.

Ordered a new monthly mobile from TESCO - told would take 3/5 days for delivery. Thought that was poor compared to the next day for carphonewarehouse etc but the deal was good. Now at day 18 and still no phone. Incompetence at both TESCO and their delivery people UKMAIL. Impossible to speak to any manager or superviser. Everything is a 48 hour call back timescale. DO NOT USE TESCO MOBILE!!! Cheap doesn't equate to value for money. I only scored this as a one because there was no option to give no stars

“great signal stregnth”

written by KashStanley on 10/01/2015

I switched from 3 to tescomobile 6 month ago, my old 3 mobile had no signal at all when i sit by my desktop, my tescomobile phone has full signal when sat in the same place. The young lady that sold me the contract was really helpful she transferred all of my data from my old mobile to my new one. I provide my wife with a mobile which is with 3, the contract is over soon and i will definitely be getting that contract from tesco. One more thing i like about my contract is that monthly spending can be capped, no nasty surprises.

I ordered a phone (HTC). Tesco forgot to send a sim card with it......A few days pass, and they send a wrong-sized sim card this time......and then they say to save money they wont speed up delivery of the next sim card, they'll use regular post.

Do not use people who have no clue about competent delivery, or customer service.
AVOID TESCO MOBILE.

“Seem OK to me”

★★★★☆

written by spark640 on 06/01/2015

Despite the poor reviews from some people (you rarely hear the good reviews)I decided to go with Tesco as they promised no rise in prices during your contract unlike many other operators who add an rpi increase every year. So how did it go? ordering a galaxy s5 mini online was easy. Online chat answered all my questions. I like the idea that your contract is made up of a cost for the phone and a cost for the service, once you have paid for your phone the price falls to service only element or i can upgrade if i like. Phone arrived 3 days later and this is why they lost a star. The packaging could be improved. No damage to the contents but the box was a little battered. Got through to an adviser and gave him my Pac code and 24 hours later my number has been transferred. No complaints from me, maybe I'm just lucky?

“Fantastic everything, cannot fault Tescomobile”

★★★★★

written by JasperNorris on 13/12/2014

I have in the past had phones through 3, O2 and EE, tescomobile are by far the best company I have been with, my 4G coverage, piggybacked onto the O2 network, is brilliant and their customer service is second to none, I seem to get through very quickly and always with in a UK based call centre, everything I have asked for I get, without hassle, I cap my 4 numbers, so that no one can rack up stupid bills, we get an extra 250mb of 4G each through family perks.

written by hlMeier81 on 22/11/2014

Just called Tesco Mobile to get two 24 month contracts for my children. I have been with Vodafone for nearly 10 years but wanted to change. However, if the Tesco sales team keep me hanging on for so long for a potentially valuable customer then really how bad is their service going to be once I'm tied into a contract with them?! FORGET IT TESCO MOBILE

written by Kelley403 on 22/11/2014

I took a Tesco mobile contract and was told coverage in my area was good. It has been OK although there have been outages. 6 months later I have no signal due to mast problems. For the last two weeks they have been telling me the mast will be fixed. I'm now having to go to the Ombudsman and still have no mobile signal.

Tesco is continuing to try to take payment for phone contracts which have been de-activated, resulting in my ex-partner being sent a letter from a debt collecting agency threatening court action if payment is not received. He set up payment with his card, on what was our joint credit card account at the time, to Tesco Mobile for our daughters' phones. The accounts have since been de-activated but Tesco are still requesting payment from, what is now, just my credit card account. I have contacted my bank and they have now stopped payments to Tesco but advised that I cancel the contract with Tesco. We have both phoned Tesco to resolve this, separately and together, but continually fail at the security questions - I suspect because the card details are mine and therefore different to when the payment was set up. Add to this the fact that the Tesco account is in my ex's name but the payment is in mine! We can't access the accounts online because they are de-activated! Tesco can offer no solution to this, despite us suggesting we go to a store, together, with photo ID etc. This surely can't be the first time this has happened? My ex has now received a letter from a debt collecting agency threatening court action if £100 odd is not received within the week! Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

By the sounds of things you have done everything you can to resolve this & Tesco are obviously still not listening! Contact them one last time by e-mail, send your email directly to their complaints department and let them know that if they do not resolve this within 14 days then you are going to take it up with the financial ombudsman. Its an easy thing to do & its free. I would also make your complaint via their facebook page and make it as public as possible! (Capital Letters & Bold Print) Believe me when i say big companies like Tesco fear being exposed for poor service via media sites like facebook. I think you'll get justice on this sooner than you think if you do both these things. Good Luck..... JD
