I have been riding at Kingsweston Stables and have loved every minute of it. The staff are friendly and the horses are well looked after. The stables are based in a ideal setting next to Blaise Castle and rides get to go around the estate and surrounding areas. Lessons are offered in flatwork and jumping, and the horses are as good as the riders that ride them!

I have been riding for 24 years and having been abroad working for sometime I wanted a private lesson to evaluate my current fitness and abilities. The instructor was incompetant to say the least, she was a lady with extremely patronising ways. I did not appreciate being treated as a child whilst trying to encourage a worn out horse to even trot on. Maybe Kingsweston Stables are ok for a plod around Blaise Castle but as a previous review states definitely not a stables to attend if you are serious about learning to ride and progress.

This riding stable is great! You do great things like riding in the forest and looking after ponies. The horses are amazing and it is an outdoor arena. Sometimes you get cold in winter because it is an outdoor arena.

Overall, a good stables, the horses are all well taken-care of, but perhaps not the best for seriously wanting to learn how to ride. Yes, the horses get 'better' (easier to get moving) as you go up the lessons, but considering it takes a year plus to learn walk, trot and canter, you have to be really committed.

Everyone at the Kingweston Stables is friendly with many horses for different amitaies meaning you can't get bored because you are always on a different horse. The only problem is that it can be busy so you have to book ahead
