I had had inverted nipples since birth, seems to be something that runs in the family because my mom had them and my sisters, too. I suppose they were grade 2 or even 3 because they didn't come out even when it was cold or if I tried to get them out with my fingers... I had just holes where they are now! (and apparently niplette doesn't work on grade 3 inverted nipples, but on mine, yes!) I had never really been embarrassed about mine (my attitude with men - if you don't like me how I am, then you're not right for me, either!) but I started to think about how I would breastfeed my kids. My sister used nipplette to correct her nipples in order to breastfeed, so I thought I would try it out. In the box, you get a small, plastic case, two tiny plastic cups with plastic tubes with springs attached, a plastic syringe and some breast shells. It's relatively simple to use, you just put the cups over your nipples or where they would be!!! and use the syringe to suck all the air out. The first few times I used it it was a little bit painful, but only uncomfortable, nothing excruciating. Sometimes when I took them off the cups were filled with a yellowy liquid....ewwww! This because I was sucking too hard! Plus I had some soreness around my nipples where the cup sat again because I was sucking too hard but I used an antiseptic cream with antibiotics in and it all went away very quickly. I wore mine as much as possible, about 12 hours a day! You can see them under a tight top, although since it's winter it wasn't hard to hide them under a sweater so I wore them out and about a couple of times, but luckily for me I work only in the afternoon so in the morning I was able to wear them around the house. I also wore them at night with a comfortable bra, sometimes they would fall off but I think it's normal - people move around a lot in their sleep, I don't think Avent can do much about it! Anyway after about six weeks of use my nipples are permanently out and I'm very happy - the instructions say that if they retract again, you can just use niplette intermittently, but I've stopped using it for a few days now and my nipples are still out! If you have patience this product really does work!

I have always had issues with my breasts. My areolas were puffy and my nipples flat so I was never topless infront of anyone. I have done 3 cycles of the nipplettes and I now have medium sized nipples and they totally changed my breast shape. I no longer have the "snoopy deformity" like it is called, and my puffiness somehow minimized and I hardly see it anymore. It is amazing and my breasts look normal and I didn't need surgery. But it did not happen overnight. I have done 3 cycles, about 6-8 weeks each, and had countless blisters. In the beginning the niplettes did not stay on at all but now I use a padded bra and a sportsbra over it and that way they usually stay on the entire day no matter what I do. It takes patience to see results but I couldn't be happier with mine.

I just received the Niplette today. I was very excited since I have had inverted nipples since puberty. One was completely inverted the other not so bad. But since having breastfed 2 babies not only did I lose cup sizes also both nipples were inverted again. I didnt have a problem nursing my babies but one breast did produce more milk. And I dont know if the inversion is why I stopped producing as much when they reached about 4- 6months but I did.Needless to say I've been embarassed by this my whole life. Married 5years and still dont like showing my breasts to my husband even though he says hes fine with it. No way can I afford surgery if I could I would so get bigger ones as well!! Its day 1 I used a litle vaseline on my nipple then applied the niplette to about 3 on the syringe. They have been on for hours with no problem at all!! I can't even tell they are there. I have very small breasts and was worried they would fall off...but they haven't! When your wearing them it's kinda like they lay flat to their side on my breast with my bra on but still in place. So far yes I would recommend, I mean if they stay on surely they will work. right? More Later

I would just like to add to my reveiw from before. I received Niplette and less than 1 week my nipples are amazing!!! the one that was one slightly inverted is completely erect all the time. the other is not perfect but I am confident that this will work!! I wear them 8+ hours a day everyday with no problem however if you have small children be careful...as i was picking up my 15month old one came off the wrong way, hurt a lil and got a small blister. but it was better in a day with the use of vaseline. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! Cant wait to see what results will be months from now!

After my first evening of wearing it when i took it off i had a large blister on my nipple. when i touched it it popped (eurgh) but when i put it on today i noticed that there was clear liquid coming out of my nipple, has anybody else expierienced this? Apart from that there has been a brilliant change already!! Cant wait to see what will happen in a few weeks!! And btw i used some vaseline on my nipples before the blister came up.

I've had inverted nipples all of my life and was always embarrassed of them. I thought surgery was the only option but within just a week of using these, my nipples are finally normal. I'm still using them but probably wot need to do them for the entire 3 months. And they do stay on if you wear the right bra!! I wore mine mainly at night and then some in the day if I was staying at home. I definitely recommend these if you are embarrassed of your inversion!! They are worth the time, effort, and money. I'm very happy!!

I bought the Avent Niplette about 5 months ago. For the first few days I was sick in bed so I got to really test it out. Even than, I could only keep it on for about 3 hours at a time, tops. They ALWAYS FALL OFF even if i just make sudden movements or they brush against loose clothing. The only way they would not fall off is if i stood completely still for the amount of time reccommended (8 hours I believe?) It's unrealistic. They did make a difference after those few days though, they definitely stood out more of the time and more prominantly especially when cold/aroused. But the effect wore off after about a week of using them a little less. I imagine this product would be great if anyone was truly able to keep them on for the proper time, but I can't imagine this being possible. I also wonder how permanent the effects really are... I will continue to use it whenever I get the chance because I still have some hope. Also, I found they sucked up a great deal of my aerola into the cup and was wondering if anyine else experienced this or if this could be damaging/stretching the aerola in any way... Thank you

I didn't experience this. They do stay on if you are wearing a bra that doesn't cause that. I didn't mind if my arola was "sucked" up in the cup because it was correcting my inversion!! Please don't discourage people from trying this, it worked very well for me!
Written on: 23/02/2012
100% agree! they do not stay on!
Written on: 01/08/2011
I have never managed to keep them on either!! I have tried wearing a bra, even a sports bra, I tried them at night, but again they fall off.
I bought them because my nipples are flat, not inverted, just flat! only protruding when they are aroused or cold.
I have been working from home today and have put them on again about 20 times!! I wasn't even wearing a bra just to avoid the bra moving them!! I tried taping them with masking tape- completely unrealistic if leaving the house, it kept them in place but i had to keep "sucking" them on again ever 10mins!!!
Not convinced they are as good as some reviews, maybe for some people they work, and others not? Not everything works for everyone sadly.
If anyone has any ideas as to how to keep them on I would be over the moon!
Em

I am 22 and am very sensitive about my nipples. I was embarrassed and therefore wont remove my top infront of ANYONE. I want to be more comfortable with my body so I began looking on the internet and found the niplette. I like it so far and when i use it my nipples are easily pulled out however I am having a difficult time keeping them on during the day. I put them on and my bra and within an hour of moving around they are completely taken off.. I am sure i would get lasting and permanant results if this problem was fixed.. PLEZ any users who experienced this please help. Importantly I do apply lotion before suction so it stays somewhat better and stops nipples from damage

Try using a padded bra and/or wearing them at night. They stay on for me so I can't really relate.
Written on: 30/06/2011
put a little vasoline around nipple area first, it helps create a suction. If you have a busy day and lots of moving around a little medical tape keeps them put too. I also always wear a slightly padded bra and breast pads. You absolutley cannot tell I even have them on whether tops are loose or fitted!

I bought the Niplette for cosmetic reasons as I have always been self concious of having flat nipples. I have been using it for a week now for about 6 hours a day and the change is incredible. At first it feels a little odd, as if you know something is there but that lasts maybe half an hour, now I can wear them and not feel them at all. I been using a moisturiser as this both helps the nipplette to attach and also moisturises my nipples at the same time. They both now stay erect and have a wonderful shape, I also have the added bonus that they are quite sensitive now, something they never have been before. This has made me feel sexy and I now no longer have a hang up about having flat nipples, wonderful product.

When you say flat nipples, you mean yours never poke out even when its cold or when your being sexually stimulated? I ask because mine lay flat to my areola, I can see the distinction of the nipple (color is slightly darker than areola) but it is always flat, and if it does poke out, its very very slight, not a huge difference at all, are yours like this?

I just received the niplette today and I will try to use it religiously lol but I am worried that it may not work for me because my nipples are very flat and hardly can surface even when cold or sexually stimulated and when I search online, I cannot find much info on the niplette being using successfully to cure those with flat nipples that barely ever protrude. It seems to only work with those with inverted nipples that can pop out when cold or sexually stimulated is what I am reading.

Thanks for any response!

After you finish the 1-3 months, are the nipples erect alllll the time or only when appropriate (cold/aroused)?? I just ordered it and before I use it I want to make sure they're not going to show through clothes or a bathing suit all the time! Thanks

I LOVE this product.... I am only on day two and my nipples look so sexy, l never would have believed it.
I have flat nipples and wanted that sexier look and this product truly does it, l just cant wait to see what they look like in a few weeks.
So far l wear them a few hours during the day and most of the night, with a crop bra, just to make sure they dont pop off.
Money well spent

I am 27, have had one nearly flat nipple and one flat to slightly inverted nipple all my life. I started using Niplette 3 days ago, have gradually increased the hours of wearing it to 6 hours during the day (for now, and not at a stretch) but I have to say I love my nipples! The nearly flat one is poking out a good while after I remove it, this morning after a whole night without it there was still a mini bump to be seen. The slightly inverted one stays out a little while although not as long as the other one... But hey its been 3 days!! I love the sight when i remove the Niplette and they both look so sexy! Awesome product, and seems it even works!! :)

I have inverted nipples (grade III) since childhood, so I had never seen them in all my life until I began to use niplette. But now, only three weeks after, when I remove the niplettes, I have nipples for two, three hours. And although they easily come back to umbilical state, now I am able to take them out with the fingers. Impossible to do this three weeks ago.
During the first days pain is a big problem, of course. Moisturizing cream is the best (I am using trofolastin). You must be very careful with the suction, especially with umbilical nipples. Think that they have never been out. One of my nipples, the most inverted (although both are true umbilical) has a very strange pink colour, totally lack of pigmentation, I can only describe it as tender. There is a difference in size and shape too, perhaps because I have only been using niplette for three weeks, and one of them is more inverted than the other. But size, shape, colour, I'm not worried about. I'm happy, because I have nipples for the first time in my life.

I also have grade 3 nipples which is said to be the type that even when stiumlated sexually or exposed to cold, they never ever come out.

So I was wondering, when you say truly umbilical, are yours flat to the areola or inverted inside that can never pop out even when stimulated? I am confused with the terms at times. I assume mine are flat because I see a dark area that is clearly a nipple, but it is flat to the areola and hardly protudes ever. If it does, it is very very slight. It doesnt go inward, it is just flat to the areola. So I am trying to understand what kind I have.

I just recieved the niplette today and boy am I astounded lol How do you tell if you didnt suck too much that the areola goes inside the suction cup as well?

Sorry so many questions but I am just trying to figure this out and it seems we have similar nips hehehe thanks for any info :-)

I bought the Avent Niplette about six months ago and can honestly say my nipples are now something to be proud of! When I spoke to the lady I just wanted to know if this could work and after she asked me some questions it was clear that this little gizmo could be right to fix my inverted nipples. I noticed results within a few days but I have to say it took about 8 weeks before my nipples remained outies and were not prone to popping back into themselves. I suppose the best thing about it, apart form it works, is that it is a very cheap option and you can wear it secretly without anyone knowing what you are doing!

Seriously the Avent Nipplette is an amazing product! I am 23 and have had one inverted nipple (grade 1-2) for my whole life and after someone recommended this product to me I was a bit skeptical---boy was I wrong! I have had the Nipplette for little over a week and I am already seeing results! My nipple is seriously out more than it is in and it is so exciting! I bought this for cosmetic reasons, and I am so much more confident! I have been wearing the nipplette religiously everyday since getting it for the recommended 8 hours/day and it is definitely working!
I don't recommend wearing it at night because I ALWAYS wake up with it off. I usually wear the nipplette when I am at home and I will keep it on when I go to bed, knowing that I already got the 8 hours in during the day. Using Vaseline also helps keep the suction. It is just so easy to use and seriously works, especially for those who have a 1 or 2 grade nipple inversion.
I also haven't really been able to wear my nipplette with a bra or even a tighter tank top. It will push the nipplette into my breast and it loses suction pretty easily. I recommend wearing it without a bra in your house on your free time. I am just so overly pleased with this product! If you have an inverted nipple buy it!

I have had inverted nipples my whole life and have always been very self conscious about it. I recently went to see a plastic surgeon to find out about correction surgery, and he told me about this product. It took me a while to actually order it, but I am so glad I did.
I bought the twin back as both my nipples are inverted. I received them 6 days ago. I wear them on and off for a few hours a time per day, and now when I take them off, my nipples are already staying out for a good few hours at a time. This product is amasing, I never would have thought it worked until I tried it.
There are 2 main problems with the Avent Niplette, firstly that they are quite a big size. I only have small nipples, and the areola gets sucked into the cup too, leaving a funny mark. I have ordered 'supple cups' as I know they come in different sizes, so I will try them too, and see which one is better.
The other problem, was that I found these hard to stay on. During the night I have to wear a bra on top and I find that during the night, they come off. During the day I cannot wear these to work as I wear tight clothing and you can definately see them through clothes as they stick out quite a bit.
I would definately recommend these to anyone who has inverted nipples, I think after wearing them for a long period of time, the nipples will definately stay out permanently!

you mentioned you have ordered supple cups... how did it go with them? I have also both nipples inverted and they are small. As you mentioned my whole areola gets sucked up in the niplette, I was thinking of buying the supple cups for men since they are smaller... I really wish to find something which works :(

I bought the Niplette to fix my inverted nipples. When I first started using the product I found the cup was too big, as my boobs and nipples are quite small, and a lot of the areola was getting sucked up into the cup. However I learnt to hold down the areola around the nipple whilst applying the suction and this helps to stop some of it getting sucked up too. It sounds tricky but it gets easier with practice!
I find that they cover well under a padded bra and can stay on all day if I apply a lot of suction, and as the weeks go on and you do use more suction you find that they do stay on much better. Also using a cream (I use cocoa butter)helps to keep the suction strong and also moisturises the nipples. I find them pretty painless, maybe sometimes just a little uncomfortable to wear, and the first few days of use can make the nipples sensitive but this does wear off over time.
I've been using this product for a matter of weeks and definitely see an improvement. After a few hours my nipples to tend to go back inside but the fact that they stay out for that long after a few weeks is impressive and I will continue to use it. I definitely would recommend this product.

I wanted to try the Niplette strictly for cosmetic reasons. I don't have any kids, but I've always felt subconscious about my flat nipples. I just received the Niplette in the mail today. I always moisturize my body everyday after bathing which is what I did before trying it. I used KY Jelly b/c that's the only non-petroleum based lubricant I had, and that's what they suggested. I was excited to see my nipple actually come out and fill the cup. I have DD breast and I've only had a little trouble so far keeping the right one on. When it did fall off I noticed that my nipple was bigger and was staying out, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be my saving grace. I'll keep yall posted on how it all turns out. However, it doesn't seem worth the $40 I paid, but then it again if I get permanent results then I guess it was worth it.

Ok so this product is not perfect. But it is by far the best product for this problem. I purchased this about a year ago. I have one flat nipple and one inverted nipple. After only using the product for a few weeks my flat nipple started poking out permanently. However because it is so difficult to keep it on I was not able to leave it on long enough for my inverted nipple to change permanently. I am now reusing it and trying to stay more on top of it so i get better results. It's very hard to keep on if you have big boobs. You can only really have it on while sitting or laying on your back. If you are like me and have a hard time sleeping on your back this becomes a problem. Is it worth trying before surgery? Definitely!

My nipples didn't protrude much when I tried nursing my first two babies and this resulted in blistered, scabbed, bloody and ultimately infected nipples. I was determined, but I quit at 6 and 9 weeks respectively, brokenhearted. With my third pregnancy, I used Niplette in my first trimester for three months and with no more than one or two tiny blisters, I was able to nurse my baby for 13 months! It was great! Use lansinoh nipple cream or vaseline when you are using the nipplette. It works much better and is much more comfortable to wear them. Also, gradually increase the suction.

I am 22 years old and I have been struggling with my inverted nipples for years now. Having inverted nipples was a huge blow to my confidence. I never wanted my boyfriend to look at my breasts and I cringed every time I had to take off my shirt. I also considered my future and how I probably wouldn't be able to breastfeed my kids (which isn't the end of the world, but I'd at least like to have the choice!). The Avent Niplette has truly changed my life. It has only been 3 days since I got it in the mail and I already see a huge difference. I feel sexier, more confident, and a million times more comfortable with my body. I have not had any pain or discomfort with the product. I find that applying nipple cream or cocoa butter to the nipples helps immensely. I wear the Niplette when I'm home watching TV, browsing the internet, and sleeping (though I have to stay on my back). If i choose to wear it out, I simply throw on a sweatshirt and no one would ever know. Sorry for the novel, but this product is a life changer!!! I recommend it to anyone struggling with low confidence or the fear of not being able to breastfeed. It is a fantastic and BETTER alternative to surgery.

I got my Niplette in the mail yesterday and wore it for the first time last night. It stayed on most of the night with no problems. My one question/concern I'm hoping someone can help me with is that I have small breasts/nipples. The width of the thimble cup is pretty big so when I use the suction part of my areola is suctioned up into the cup. Will this be a problem or is this how it is for everyone?

When I first used it they came out but not right out into the cup, at the end they filled the plastic cup easily and without pain
