and the multi fix presure gun snaped after 3 uses

From new the B&Q Performance machine only reached full operating (useful) pressure twice. It was obviously faulty but since I filed the reciept to my accountant yonks ago I imagine replacement (from BQ) would be a futile effort.

Having purchased the product from B&Q for patio cleaning after about 6-8 uses water started gushing under pressure from the detergent tank. The stopper came like a bullet, very dangerous. Being just out of guarantee the B&Q store, HQ and manuafcturer all gave me the runaround. So cannot even pay for it to be repaired.
Avoid this brand.

Bought the B&Q Performance because it had a hoze reel but unpaacked and saw the hoze cant be reeled in with the lance attached like Karcher. It is very impractical.

The B&Q Performance worked fine for ten minutes then water gushing out of lance bevery where new lance supplied under warranty same thing happened definite design fault

I bought the B&Q Performance mac 2 just under a year ago used it once now water does not come out what a complete waste of £89 seems like it is blocked up or something.

The B&Q Performance Pressure Washer is a fantastic machine and I have owned it for 2 years without problems. The only problem that I do have is the thread on the connector to the water lance has striped, can anyone tell me where i can get a replacement fitting?

Overall not a bad pressure washer for the money. It was quick and easy to use, although the detergent kept having to be changed.

The B&Q Performance washer, when it works correctly, is good however there are definite design issues with the integrity and water sealing of the lance. After using for 30 minutes washing my patio, water started gushing from lance handle. I purchased a new lance from B & Q and replaced it. Four car washes later, the same thing happened to the new lance handle.
Twice bitten, I will not buy another!

This B&Q Performance pressure washer had an easy life washing one patio and half a car before packing up. Please buy something else - these are just dreadful washers.

I think that the B&Q Performance Pressure Washer could do with the wand re-designing, with the inner plastic tube replaced with something less likely to perforate.

The machine worked well for about ten minutes, when the pressure hose blew off the pump, I thought it was the way I had put it on and perhaps didn't tighten it enough. Having reconnected the hose as tight as possible by hand, as soon as the machine started it came off again. I phoned B&Q who are sending a replacement hose, which was a week ago.

The High Pressure Hose keeps coming off the pump. The thread to the pump appears to be somewhat different to the thread on the hose connector, B&Q sent another hose at no cost, but this problem should not happen.

Would not have bought the pressure washer if I had known that, when out of warranty, I could not rely on the seller to offer advice on repair. The first B&Q Performance pressure washer I bought was faulty, but replaced immediately with a new one by B and Q.

Very powerful easy to use not to heavy to move around not a bad price at £99A. Internal motor housing very brittal and breaks after a little while.
Cant find any where to get spare parts as mine keeps switching off after only 5 seconds of high pressure. Cheap way to clean your drive or patio but don't expect it to last long .I would not buy another one and go for a better make

Based on previous recommendations at this web site, I bought the B&Q 'standard' model made by MacAllister (who make the B&Q brand). The first one came with a broken ON/OFF switch (physically in pieces) which I discovered when I unpacked the goods. I took it back. The second one was literally in pieces when I unpacked it - all the casing was broken and the motor/pump assembly was unsecured. I took that back too.
In fairness to B&Q, they refunded my money without quibble and - when pressed - gave me a refund for my petrol. But it was three hours out of my day and - 3 year guarantee or not - the robustness of this product is seriously in question.
If you still want to get one, then I suggest that you insist on having it removed from the packaging and have it proved to be in a sound condition before buying.

B&Q pressure washers - I was initially sceptical about how good pressure washers were and I've been putting it off for ages. However, the garden furniture I spent a small fortune on was looking grey and worn out.
Did some searches for reviews and only saw the one for the cheaper model. I wanted one with a trolley and wheels for portability etc..
Bought this model because it offered exactly the same specifications as the karcher model but was £54 cheaper.
It has cleaned the first chair perfectly! It was worth the £99 just to clean the furniture to this standard.
I have also cleaned a couple of slabs on the patio and they come up well.
Would thoroughly recommend this.. £99 and a 3 year warranty to boot! Sorted!

B&Q Performance Pressure Washer is very impressive, cleans everything from cars to paving stones and is really good for cleaning out guttering in fact it is able to clean most things.

Great review, was on the point of buying a Karcher but this has made me think twice!
