“received 1 pr slippers same day 3 prs mens shoes MISSING?”

Very dissapointed in all aspects of on line shopping. Tried to place an order. service down for over 24hrs. Free del over £35 was charged, £3.50 for a £109 order.2 weeks later no mens shoes arrived no email as to why guar del of 3 - 5 days. NO reply to 4 emails.1 pair of ladies slippers arrived a week after order but on same day 3 pair of shoes went missing or so they said.... They were stolen by delivery company or never on the van ? Will never use again , Not quick not easy not arrived.

“Don't even bother.”

As a first time customer to the website and using online service I have to say I was severely disappointed. My order was cancelled and the only reason I was given was quality control, it took them 3 days to tell me this and I was treated rudely when I called up. I don't think I will be ordering off them any time soon. Also when ever I go into one of there shops I find the staff are rude and will look down at you. The shoes they also offer are not finished to a very high standard and the shoes will not last long before breaking apart. I can't really say anything nice about the store due to the bad service and customer care. I would never recommend to a friend and I will also steer clear of this shop in the future.

I can confirm however if your order was cancelled due to quality control reasons we will not have charged for this order if paid by card or if paid by paypal this will have been refunded as soon as we found out this was unavailable.

“Avoid!”

I have had 2 orders cancelled by Barratts upon querying as to why the first order was cancelled i was told quality control , I stupidly ordered another pair of shoes and had this cancelled too! Exasperated I called their "helpline" to be told there was a quality control issue with the trainers i ordered and they couldn't fulfill the order. I asked why the issue had not been noticed before they are posted on the website as being for sale and i was told this was how they organise stock. Now surely to goodness it would be more advisable to discover quality control issues when the shoes go into stock . not at the point of sale! As i say avoid , I certainly will in future

“Steer clear - barratts bankrupt multiple times for a...”

I ordered shoes online from this company. They charged my card and after two days emailed me to say my order had been "dispatched" (lie #1). Two weeks later and still no sign. I contact for an update and am told they were never dispatched due to quality control issues and a "full refund" had been issued (lie #2). In fact only a partial refund had been issued and after a day of email back and forth they insist a "full refund" has been issued despite the fact that I received an automated response from them and my payment provider stating they had made a "partial refund". After researching on the web I discover this company has been in bankruptcy at least once and seems to be barely keeping its head above the water - is it any wonder with the incredibly bad service they give? (really, you want to see the email platitudes they sent!). I now have to wonder if they are in difficulty again and cannot fulfil orders because suppliers will not give them product? ... is this the real reason goods were not shipped? My problems with them still remain - I consider myself lucky to have got *part* of my cash back from this fraudulent bunch. My advice - steer clear - better to give your money to a company that has integrity, customer service and operations systems that actually *work* and do not lie at the first step. Barratts shoes "Once they're gone, they're gone!" (to parody their current sale slogan)

“Very Poor Service”

I went into Barratts nearby the Harrow shopping centre to get a nice pair of wedges. Most of the shoes there seems nice but unfortunately did not have my size. Therefore,I settled for a simple sandle that was on sale. I was only second in line to pay at the cashier but had to wait forever to get served. There was practically two staff attending to the same customer in front of me at the same time. I just don't understand why I have to stand in line and wait when there is sufficient staffs around in the store. When I asked the cashier,she rudely replied me that she is apparently the only one at the moment and I would have to wait until she is done with the customer in front of me. What I am disappointed in is the fact that there was no apology from her for the wait,instead she was rude to me. I also do not understand why the need for two staff to handle a customer in front of me with an issue of shoe exchange and I only had a pair of shoe to pay for. In the end,I decided to cut my wait short by not buying the shoe and walking out of the store.

“Fast delivery, great prices!”

I placed an order on the afternoon of Saturday 14th July for 3 pairs of shoes. I found a voucher online for 15% off the total order and used the free delivery voucher freely available for free delivery for items worth over a total of £50. After placing the order I was initially worried that the shoes I had ordered wouldn't arrive in time for my holiday one week later as standard delivery was up to 7 working days after despatch so I wrote an email asking for my delivery to be upgraded at my cost. I received a prompt email stating that wouldn't be possible and that in all likelihood they would arrive in time. On Sunday 15th July I received a notification email of despatch and today, Tuesday 17th July they arrived! Now how's that for service! The order was 100% correct, all trainers/shoes fitted perfectly and I made a great saving on the same shoes that I had seen in the Trafford Centre on the Saturday morning. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use Barratts Online again or recommend them.

“YOUR FEET ARE MADE FOR WALKNING SO JUST WALK PAST BARRATTS”

The shops are in general not too bad but the online ordering is appalling: Wrong colour of shoes sent Completely Wrong shoes sent Wrong amount taken from account Wrong refund to the account Wrong information given on order Shoes sent in plastic bags instead of boxes You spend time ordering only for a week later to be told not in stock No reply from customer service No tracking information when the items are dispatched arrives 2 days after Poor courier - London location but can not find the street (its a main street in London - not that difficult A-Z will help) I put 4 different orders into Barratts and the same problems again and again!

“Poor service”

Spoke on the telephone to the manager of the Merry Hill branch, who assured me that the shoes I required were in stock and he would keep them for me. When I got to the store, they were the right size and colour, but the wrong style. On line I fared little better - this time they were the right colour and style, but the wrong size.The invoice showed the correct size that I had ordered. Customer services promised that the correct shoes would be delivered next day and the wrong ones picked up at the same time. Too much to ask that they would get this right! As agreed, if we were out, the shoes to be picked up would be left in the porch and the replacement pair left in their place. Got it half right - picked up shoes, but didn't leave the replacements. Just a note to say contact us for a new delivery date. Loads of neighbours at home, but didn't try to leave with them. Just hope that they eventually get it right, but have alreadt lost a customer that might have bought from them again

“Shoes Faulty-sent them back but they "Never received...”

I brought a pair of shoes online. 1st day 1 wore them the heel came lose so the same evening i sent them back to head office. Guess what, they never received them so no refund will be given. i only have a proof of postage which doesnt state the address the parcel was sent to. Joke of a company. Bad customer service. Evergy one stay clear of these criminals (thats what they would be if they stole money from my house) no difference here really.

“Rude customer sales repS especially in WESTFIELD WHITE...”

Went to shop with my kids today unluckily my kids open a packet of maltesers three fell down on the floor while I was looking for a pair of shoes to buy, one of the lady claims to be a manager said that we shouldn't bring food inside, I apologised saying that they are just kids and she said next time be careful, I said ok! Then came an asian male rep who is short started shouting at us and threaten to call the security so I ask for what? He couldn't reply, because of the rudeness of the guy the woman manger apologised saying that the matter should not escalated. The man came back again shouting that no one should serve us. Very rude! For everyone who is willing to pay steer clear of this shop since you expect a good service for the money you are willing to pay. IM NOW TAKING THE MATTER SERIOUSLY AND TAKE IT TO THE OFFFICE OF TRADING STANDARDS! AND TO THAT MALE ASIAN REP YOU SHOULD LEARN WHAT IS INVOLVES IN CUSTOMER SERVICE

“Boots leaking water, sole coming away”

I bought these pair of boots 2 months agoin the Wandsworth branch(I had bought them last year as they were really comfortable but they had worn through so decided to buy the same pair again this year). Having only had them 2 months, I noticed that the bottom of my socks were getting wet and I noticed that the sole was coming away. I know this can happen over time but its only been 2 months. I took them to the Croydon branch, where I was told that I could take them to a mender who would glue them back for me. I was surprsed that this is the advice you would give a customer after 2 months. She also said that they are not waterproof, which I know from my last pair and hence had bought the Barratts spray to protect them (which I spray regularly to protect them). She said the only thing I could do was to continue to wear them and if the sole totally same apart to bring them back. I reminded her that my feet were getting wet and she said that was my only option. So I have to wear my boots in the freezing cold, whilst my feet get wet to see if the sole comes away anymore - SHOCKING!!

“EXPRESS DELIVERY WHAT A JOKE. . . STAY CLEAR”

ordered a pair of shoes on the mon and paid express delivery as we needed the shoes for the friday, we paid £5.50 for three day delivery, the website says three days after processing but what they dont tell you is it takes for ever to process, 8 DAYS LATER and my shoes still havent been sent out god help anyone who pays for standard delivery there feet will have grown before their shoes arrive. sent two emails just the usual rubbish. thank god i paid through paypal as i am now reporting them and hopefully they will get me a refund , they can keep the shoes

“never order online,”

i ordered and paid for next day delivery only to be told its next day delivery after they post it which can take upto three days..... then when my boots arrive ontime more or less, someone else had been wearing them. there were scuffs all over the suede and clear signs that the heel was wearing down and scuffs all over the bottom. when i went to live chat on barratts website a rep said if they debited my account with ten pound would i keep the boots. erm no! so now i ha e to take them to barratts store which is 30 mile away from me. if would never have ordered if i knew this comoany was bad. flamin typical.

“Shoes leaking water. Barratts refused to refund”

Bought a pair of rieker shoes £45 to wear during colder weather. First day it rained leaking +++ after 2 secs in the rain. returned them to the store in box with receipt - told no refund as don't guarantee 100% waterproof. these are sturdy shoes that can't even cope when pavement wet but not actually raining. e mailed Barratts who agreed with store decision. am now going to send them to barratts head office but not holding out much hope as they will not refund if a fault isn't found. Waste of £45 and Barratts couldn't care less. DO NOT SHOP HERE or at least use your credit card which gives some protection against cowboys like this!

you too?! after i returned the shoes I heard nothing. waited 2 weeks and then called customer services. Was told that they couldn't find the shoes but would post me a cheque for £45 and postage.
I'm still waiting ... a week later it was announced that Barratts had gone into administration & the store i bought them from closed.

never buy footwear online unless it's a repeat purchase.You never know exactly what you'te paying for. I always visit a Clarks shoe shop. You may pay a bit more but you get much more for your money and great service or at least in my Ipswich town you do

“Do not shop with this company”

I ordered a pair of Skechers shoes from Barratts Online. Paid the price and waited for delivery. Waited nearly a month and no shoes. After numerous emails received an email saying shoes lost in transit and an offer of 20% off next order, so ordered a pair of Hush Puppies. Again paid in full, then received the proverbial email None in stock and here's a refund. All the above cost me in time and a total of 15 emails from Barratts and some from me. If you want hassle when you order your shoes online go to Barratts.

“Incredibly poor customer service”

Key points: Store assistant had a face like she'd been sucking on a lemon. She literally threw the shoes back into the box when I asked for a larger size - here's something to bear in mind, you're working in a shoe shop, people want to try on different sizes, don't get in a huff when you have to do your job. She barely talked to or looked at me throughout the whole time I was in the shop. The shoes I tried on were fine, but because of the lack of manners from the store asistant, I will now ensure I never buy anything from Barratts and will be informing as many people as possible about their poor level of service.

“Where are they?!!”

Ordered for special occasion but did not arrive. Contacted the delivery comp (HDNL) who said they had tried to deliver twice which was not true as I had arranged delivery to my place of work. They said they were at the depot. Husband went to collect but they were not there at all. Contacted Barratts customer services by email, (no telephone number on website) Response took a couple of days in which they just repeated what I had told them and they said to contact HDNL to arrange redelivery.I told them to do it, then they said that they had not passed on the correct delivery address but this was now rectified and the shoes would arrive soon. After a few more days and no shoes I contacted HDNL who said that the parcel had been lost. They had informed Barratts of this and advised that they contact me to arrange a replacement or refund which they didn't. I emailed Barrratts again to this effect but have had no response so next step will be to inform trading standards

“Unpaired wedges”

I ordered online a pair of wedges, size 4 (my size).When the goods were dispatchedI received the left shoe size 4 and the other shoe in size 8 altough the order form was confirming my selection for size 4 at the moment of placing the order (and when one selects size one means same size for both feet). I was advised to take them to the nearest branch and they can change it for me. So I took them to a Marble Arch shop and explained biefly what my problem was and what I wanted to do: get the shoe in he right size. The lady in the shop cut my enthusiasm quickly saying they did not have that model in the shop and couldnt help me. Luckily I was with a friend with a big mouth who tried to help me and wanted to talk to the manager aboutthis. The manager came and he authorised a refund so I got my money back and I re-ordered online the model an the second time I received the right size for both shoes. The wedges are great, I am happy I sorted out the problem eventually.

“returned boots after 13 months of pain to customer...”

returned boots after 13 months of pain to customer services only to be told they could not find anything wrong with them, they tore holes in my ankle and were constantly bleeding as a result, i found the customer service to condescending little smarty pants stating the bleeding obvious and generally being unhelpful, claiming there's nothing wrong even though I provided proof in pictures of my injuries and sent them back at my expense only shows what your up against when a company wants to wash its hands of its shoddy products, I found them to be exactly what they are a cheap little company with a cheap little sense of fairness. Avoid

In defense..It could be the case that there wasn't actually any thing wrong with the shoe, simply that the shoe wasn't the right style for the shape of your foot. Plus they couldn't have been that painful You did wear them for 13months!

“Bought a pair of Michigan shoes at the Barrats...”

Bought a pair of Michigan shoes at the Barrats Birmingham Branch during sale at £48. Checked Barratts online and identical pair on sale for £35. Asked for explanation from customer services re price difference and fobbed off. Dont go there, dont waste your money, Barratts are useless

I bought shoes from Barratts in Debenhams. I have only had them for under 3 months and they have already come apart from the side and bottom. Can I exchange them, although I would prefer to get a refund on them. Can you advise me on what to do?
