“Furious with non delivery of father's day gift!”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 15/06/2012

I have been using Moonpig for 4 years and have always been very pleased withe the quality of their cards and service. However, after ordering a beer gift set for my father for Father's Day they informed me - at 7pm on Friday!!- that they were not able to deliver due to production problems. Too late to order anything from any other provider. I am absolutely furious. No way would I ever order anything but cards from them again. They should stick to what they know.

I had my order for personalised wine cancelled at 7pm last night as well. They didn't even send out my card, so I've been scurrying round the shops for something else this morning. Very disappointed :(

“Bouquet was half dead on arrival”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 24/03/2012

Received a very disappointing bouquet from Moonpig for Mothers Day as did my friend which was ordered by my son. Both bouquets were half dead on arrival and many of the actual stems did not open and the tulips only lasted 3 days. Would not recommend!

“Really disappointing flowers”

★★☆☆☆

written by Zero7742 on 17/03/2012

I ordered some flowers for Mothers Day and they arrived today and I couldn't believe it. They looked almost dead before they were put in water and they still don't look very good. Here's a comparison of what I ordered and what I got https://p.twimg.com/AoMuMNECEAEWfST.jpg I paid £35 for those. Definitely will not be ordering there again. The only good thing was they arrived when they were meant to.

“late cards and mug!”

★★☆☆☆

written by fosterpete on 11/12/2011

I am new to moonpig and ordered my best friends card which i ordered late, in fact only 1 hour before the deadline for nxy day delivery. The card came on time and i was so impressed me and my children sat down and created two extra special cards with personal images and as we was going to buy a mug, one card we was getting for free, bonus! you would think :( We ordered his cards on the wednesday for his birthday on the friday and friday came and went, kids distrought as no cards or present, saturday came and went, no card/present. Sunday afternoon, a van pulled up with big card and mug. Image on mug could hardly be seen, my card was not even in box! so at present i am really not happy as we had to buy replacement cards and presents and the stress caused to myself and kids is just not worth it. Will i get a refund? i am going to fight for it. I cant afford to waste £16 on a mug you cant see image and two cards that arrive days after his birthday! And yes i did proof look over mug image and card first. Sooooo not happy!

“Great when it works, appalling when it doesn't”

★★☆☆☆

written by lozboz2 on 04/09/2011

I've used Moonpig a number of times and the products are really quite good and put a smile on the recipients face. However, when there is a problem they are 100% unresponsive to emails, feedback etc., and are unhelpful on the telephone and avoid the truth regarding their service. 'Take the money and run' seems to be the philosophy. Be aware that the despatch date quoted at the start of the ordering process can change by the time you come to pay. The website status of your order can remain stuck for some time and this should sound warning bells that your order is just not going to arrive on time, despite assurances on the telephone. Also be aware that the products are posted in Guernsey and it takes at least two days for them to arrive in the UK. It's a good product but the service surrounding it makes it not worth taking the risk unless you are working at least a couple of weeks ahead of your required delivery, and that it is coming direct to you rather than the recipient. Loved ones left thinking you have forgotten them is the issue at risk.

Ordered flowers in plenty of time for Mother's day. On order page said delivery 2nd April. No delivery. Found out subsequently that they wouldn't be delivered until the following Monday. They were called Mother's Day flowers. Won't be ordering from Moonpig again.

written by on 19/12/2009

Despite the low grades above, it is potentially fantastic. I agree with some of the comments. The website design is dire. Email sent to them. Noreply at all:

Really difficult to see how to send 4 small cards to different people, and no obvious guide.
Unrealistic pricing - ordered 4 for £6, but when I paid it came to £7.33, I think. I know that postage can't be considered until ordering, but surely VAT should be added to the 'basic' price.
Every card has 'United Kingdom' at the end. I realise that this is a Guernsey thing, but couldn't they be taken out and posted on the mainland. It just looks so 'official', not like a casual card at all.
Awkward website. As well as the above, if I go to contact, only an email address is given, after wading through FAQS. First one written three days ago, and no reply so far, despite a follow-up email. Today, found a phone number. After hanging on for ten minutes, just gave up.
. Spelling mistakes, below.
Change YOU personal details and preferences
Name, ADDRESSS, list and data management
I have just bought £15 of cards, though, completely personalised. It COULD be SOO GOOD. At the moment the w4eb design is just amateur.

I've used moonpig many times and too had a card that did not arrive. I gave up trying to contact them.
I decided to give MemorySender a go. The site is very good, but also my card did not arrive. I sent them an email (as there is no other way to contact them) and didnt expect a response. I got a full appology, a replacement card sent the next day and a full refund. I was stunned. You can't ask for more than that.

written by kissykate on 08/01/2008

I received a photo upload card and after a month the picture had faded. In fairness most people don't keep their cards on display for that long a period. But I was too sentimental to throw it away.
For funny cards you cant beat this site but for photo cards memorysender.com is leagues apart. I sent one of those to my mum when my grandfather passed away and she cried when she opened it. Six months later she still plays it all the time.
