I ordered a 250Gb Samsung 850 EVO … I ordered a 250Gb Samsung 850 EVO Series S-ATA3 Solid State 2.5In Drive on 17/11 and was told it would be delivered within a few days. Despite being promised since then that it would be delivered every few days, nothing has arrived. I requested a refund and since then, nothing - no reply to emails or phone calls and the website is unworkable. I have complained to Trading Standards and have made a final request for a refund. I hope to update this shortly as to whether I got it or Trading Standards will take it further.

“Extremely not good”

Ordered motherboard. Good - worked. Ordered another. Did did not get the board I ordered. Also had problems. Got RMA and returned with a request for the board that I ordered originally. Back came the board with a note that said no problem could be found. Completely ignored the fact that it wasn't the board that I had ordered. Still not working. Did extensive tests and wrote a detailed report. Got another RMA and returned it again. Some weeks passed and then was told they still could not find a fault. Also asking for cost of postage to send it back to me. Subsequent correspondence was ignored. Finally after 8 months I was informed that if postage was not paid "goods would be disposed of". No further business has been done with this company since. Customer Service is illusory!

“I was very pleased”

It seems like these guys have been getting a bit of a bashing, but I personally was very happy with Eclipse Computers. We ordered a Gamer PC for my son for Christmas and it took a little longer than I had hoped, but it arrived just in time. It is a fantastic bit of kit, great value for money compared to other companies and I would buy from them again and have recommended them to other people as well.

“they damage the returned stock to get more money out...”

I bought a motherboard from them that turned out to be "bricked" did extensive research on the company's forum who made the board to confirm the error code sent it back they phoned me and said that I had bent the processor pins... I managed to get it back looked at the processor bay and there are dents that are clearly from a flat head screwdriver all they seid was why would we want to damage it.. well you was trying to get me to spend more money on an inferior board... id advise not using them.

THE 3TB SEAGATE HARD DRIVES WOULD NOT WORK ON MY PC. TOOK THEM BACK TO "ECLIPSE" AND THEY CHANGED THEM FOR 2TB VERSIONS. NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. I ALWAYS USE THEM FOR MY PC SUPPLIES. IF AN ITEM IS NOT STOCK THEY ALWAYS OFFER A REPLACEMENT SAME OR BETTER THAN ITEM WANTED. THEY ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL

“nonexistent customer support ”

The customer service at Eclipse Computers leaves a lot to be desired, in fact to would test the resolve of the Dalai Lama himself. I purchased a personal computer for over £1000 which developed a hardware fault when it was less then twelve months old, the support I got was as much use as a chocolate fireguard. They say they'll call, but you have about as must chance of receiving a call from the dead as you do from Eclipse. Personally I would not recommend Eclipse Computers.

“Terrible experince, Expensive, Customercare non existant”

Well i didn't think i would be doing this, so my girlfriends son wanted a custom build computer high spec to play games on, so everyone gathered money together and finally managed to get him one for christmas with top end specs on everything completly custom build costiing just over £750, the graphics card had to be an nVidia as we're not a fan of ATI radeon cards. So first of all we were expecting the computer very shortly after order as we were told the delivery date, 10 days later i phoned customer "care" to be told the delay on the order was due to the fans i choose on the site not being in stock and they were due to be in stock in a months time, so they changed the fans and told me it would be done asap Another few days went by and i emailed them again as still no computer, but no response finally the computer turned up, with a big document telling us half the parts that were ordered were changed for a like for like part, not sure if we actually paid for what we got as the prices wern't shown and no refunds were given, so feeling that we safely had a 3 year warrenty what's the worst that can happen ehh? so just at the start of the month we noticed the nVidia 640 graphics card was constantly dropping frame rate in games and even some older games it struggled to play, so i emailed eclipse computers rather than spending the £10 phone credit phoning their 0844 number again, i recieved a phone call which they understood my issue and told me they would talk to their colleauge and see if they can get it in and replace the graphics card for something the same or better under the warrenty as it didn't seem right that this was happening. that was on the 13th july 2014 Today 23rd july 2014 i recieve an email telling me they tried to phone me (no missed calls) and to phone them, after waiting 20 minutes on hold as they were aparently busy, i got told as the graphics card isn't faulty they can't do anything and that by the spec of the graphics card it isn't really suitable for gaming and although i was only offered that choice or the lower choice of graphics card when i ordered if i had of phoned them up they could have made another choice surgestion that wasn't listed on the site that was better to my needs. As the graphics card isn't faulty they can not replace it or change it under warrenty as it's not faulty, they surgested that i switch to the onboard graphics to try that, however when i explained that the bios option doesn't have a switch mode for the graphics they said ahh i see your problem, the only surgestion woudl be to remove the graphics card to try the onboard graphics however that will break your 3 year warrenty if you can see living without it (6 months in) i replied no. I then went on to tell them that i was dissapointed as i personally use the nVidia 630m and its only got 1gb VRAM and i can play the same games withwout any issues yet the 640 2gb VRAM struggles really poorly to play the same games, to which i got told it was strange and that maybe because i use a gaming laptop it's tweaked to play games, where i use the exact same settings as the 630 on the 640 and it doesn't work any better. So they then told me that i could buy a graphics card from them at a discount price and prices start from £80 upwards + i would have to get boxs big enough to post the computer off + courier charges, as even if it was a fault i would still have to pay courier charges, but as the graphics card works and isn't pixelated or blank they can't do anything for my current situation and they couldn't do anything else for me as, "what use would a 2nd hand card be to us when we don't even have the box anymore for it" - customer service quote. I'm not at all happy about this i've made it clear to them however i really got the impression from customer care of, "here's our cup of care, oh look it's empty!" so given up on getting any help there after call i relised that the phone call cost £10 of phone credit to their silly 0844 number. i'm starting to regret paying for 3 year warrenty at the extra costs when you get your first year free normally on any purchase and even more so that was their "gold service" yet you have to pay for postage either way even if there is a fault unless you remove the faulty part yourself and then you loose your warrenty.

Bought a gaming computer from Eclipse last week. I had some issues setting it up and cross-firing the two GPUs. The technical dept were excellent - the guy with the beard (don't remember his name) was just excellent and so helpful. I was dealt with by a guy, who was absolutely first class - if everyone in customer service was like him, life would be easier for us all. But all staff I've dealt with have been good. If, like me, you're not an expert on PCs, this is a great place to buy.

“Do not use company”

Eclipse Computers were suggested as I do not know anything about computers and wanted to buy a gaming computer for son. Collected Dec 2012. It has had several hardware problems and I have had no end of fobbing off from store. Was repaired twice in 2013 and again 14 months after purchase it is unusable and the store do not want to know. Is a £700 computer not expected to last 14 months? Well I believe it should but have ended up going to have it fixed elsewhere at a cost of £250. having looked at the computer the new company have been astounded at how badly made and with substandard parts, there view being it is worth half what was paid. Since then two other gaming computers have been bought for family members NOT FROM ECLIPSE.

“Never again”

Bought a faulty computer from them cost me £50 to have it deliveried and returned, customer service really bad, the computer had a hard wear fault and I have paid for them to repair it under guarantee really bad they are about the worse company I have ever dealt with avoid at all costs . Don't say you haven't been warned there is nothing I liked about the transaction with this company just hope the computer dosnt break again I don't want to go though this again

Ok so I notice there are a lot of negative reviews about these guys on here. At the chance of getting lynched here...I'd like to leave a positive review. I purchased an amount totalling around £800 last month and found the sales staff to be young, but quite helpful. Plus I'm no beginner so knew mostly what I wanted and about compatibility. So after a short wait in the queue and a conversation about what they had in stock, I walked out with my new items. Upon opening everything I found that the motherboard was not quite as described on the website and had a feature missing that I needed. So I took a trip back and explained the situation to their customer services team. They checked out my story and swapped the motherboard for something I could use for my intended purpose, and said that they would rectify the error on the site. I was happy with this and my PC is working wonderfully. I have checked their site since and it seems they have in fact updated the description of the motherboard. I would use these guys again for sure.

Hey there, I was just about to leave a review for these guys. After buying a load of stuff last month. Are we on about the same company? I found my experience to be a good one. I did have a faulty item in my purchased goods, but they replaced this for me without argument.

I'm not sure what you mean by "goods purchased & cost" though?

well I am order of them by website products I wonted 2 weeks ago and I still waiting! on website you can't see that they have parts you wont at stock or not. they not answer on emails. only one way for communication is phone 0844...). they keep saing that they waiting for new stock (2 weeks???!!!) I will not recommendet this company to anyone!!! very bad services!!!

Don't trust all these fake reviews, it is the company reviewing itself. Eclipse has such a bad reputation in Coventry that it is alleged to have its own shelf at Trading Standards. This company is absolutely dire, and sells faulty goods, and sacks staff for no reason, other than for the management to flex their power, whilst they are on the fiddle. Avoid at all costs. There are other PC firms in Coventry which are far more reputable!

Have placed two orders with Eclipse now and both times have been more then satisfied. When I ordered my pre-built PC from them the item was received less than a week after I ordered it, Eclipse themselves keeping me updated as to the progress of my order. When the item arrived I had a few issues and questions regarding some of the features. I emailed my query to them and within minutes I received a reply and my issue was resolved near enough straight away (the issue incidentally was not with the product, more my understanding (or lack of) of the hardware and additional components. Indeed each time I have had to make contact with Eclipse I have always found the service swift, comprehensive and extremely friendly and can recommend to anyone!
