Everything is good. Butlins is a place for family holidays for people with families - It may be basic and bit old fashioned but what more do you need than a bed to sleep in and somewhere to eat. There is so much to do and kids love it and I get enjoyment out of my kids enjoying themselves. The entertainment is excellent!

I booked a 2 bed room silver plus chalet - it had been re-furbished and was although quite basic it had what you needed for your stay. I also looked into a room there which I found out was a silver room only - again very nice - Although fast food is sold - a lot of effort has been made to allow parents to offer alternatives. I was a very snobbish worried parent who has been TOTALLY transformed to a Butlins person - we plan to go again for definite. Don't be put off give it a try - if you have kids they will love it

Butlins, Bognor Regis, lots of things to do for children under 10. Not much for teenagers if their away with family. Fun and lots of entertainment, friendly staff and you feel welcome straight away, but not good if you have teenagers in the family.

This review makes me sound like a teetotal snob, but I'm not, we had a few drinks in the chalet with the kids tucked up in bed, and I'm happy in a two-man tent in a field in the pouring rain, but Butlins has certainly changed for the worse since I had my holidays there as a kid. Butlins at Bognor Regis was horrible. Drunks banged on our door at night the accommodation was filthy accommodation that smelt of damp.

Is a great place for a short break but I don't think you could spend your annual holiday there. Great evening entertainment although it did finish earlier then expected. (10.30/10:45pm). Not a lot to do in the day within the venue.

Hadn't been before to Butlins and didn't know what to expect. The Skyline Pavilion was spotlessly clean and full of things to entertain without having to spend a penny (unless you wanted to). Entertainment was great - the robot was amazing. The shows in the evening were great for all ages. The Shoreline Hotel was really nice. Clean and well set out. A truly relaxing weekend for the adults while the children were thoroughly entertained. Great!

Butlin's seriously needs to get its act together inside its entertainment venues, Centre Stage and Reds.
They spend £1000's on entertainment which is great but they don't make the venues very comfortable. They expect people to queue for 2 hours before the doors open and even then you may not get a seat.
Now they have these big hotels, more people, more hassle, yet Centre Stage and Reds are still the same size.
If you don't like queuing or standing up in venues all night then don't bother with a Butlin's party weekender.

We all really had a great time and booked again as soon as we got home for September and have already booked for next year as well. We would strongly recommend Butlins at Bognor.
The redcoats were fantastic, as were the cast in centre stage, I cannot fault anything at all.
If you don't want to eat in the fast food places all the time, you can go into the half board restaurant and pay for an all you can eat 3 course meal in there instead, which was fantastic value for money and it really was great food.

Had a really great weekend despite the accommodation at Butlins in Bognor Regis, which I wouldn't let my dog sleep in.
>br>I would definitely not take a family holiday there, but I would recommend it to a friend, purely for the entertainment, but make sure they stay in a higher grade chalet, which would hopefully be acceptable.

Butlins in Bognor Regis is an OK resort. The Butlins shows and resort entertainment was fabulous, and the food was fab too! Unfortunately, the furniture fell apart in the bronze accommodation. There were dead insects in the room, and dirt on the floor where it hadn't been properly cleaned. It was too dirty to visit again, but I would go again, but only for a weekend and in the gold or deluxe accommodation. The bronze was absolutely horrendous, and I have been told Silver is just as bad. Drive to Minehead. It's by far more superior in every aspect!

All staff we encountered at Butlins in Bognor Regis were wonderful; from the redcoats to the guys in the shops and cinema. Very suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There were a lot of people there who needed specialist care and seemed to really love it. Be sure that you are booking the break you want, because if you are an all adult party and book during family week, they will still accept your booking. While we were there, there was one football team who were really looking for an adult holiday, and they were surrounded by toddlers.

Our three year old loved it at Butlins in Bognor Regis. £180 for 3 days just before Christmas is real value. We endured it: lumpy beds, noise, etc etc.
Go for the kids, don't expect Center Parcs, and appreciate the value.
Silver apartment OK. The first one had a broken window, we reported it and they simply gave us the keys to another apartment.

What appears to be on the surface a cheap day out compared to other theme parks turns out not to be the case at Butlins in Bognor Regis. Many things are extra inside. Plus there is no parking for day visitors and the nearest council car park opposite the entrance is £6 for a stay of over four hours! I have never put so much money into a parking meter in one go! OUCH!

I had a Monday to Friday at Butlins Bognor Regis in September 2005 with my boyfriend and it was absolutely fantastic, couldn't fault it. We are in are late teens and had a wonderful time. We got it on a good deal, so the value for money was excellent! We stayed in Standard accommodation and it was great - very basic but what do you expect? The food was excellent, so much choice and plenty to go around. The swimming was great, with plenty for rides to keep everyone entertained, even me and I'm a wimp! The evening entertainment was a little bit cheesy, but it wasn't bad. We saw a fantastic comedian called Jay McGee in Jak's, which also had a casino night with fake money - lots of fun. We will definatly return to Butlins in the future, it was awesome!

I went to Butlins Bognor Regis from the 1st July to the 8th July. I can recommend it for all kids my son had a fantastic time and made lots of mates. We have been to Haven holidays in the past but no way are they as good as Butlins. This was our best holiday EVER. Thank you Butlins.

Butlins Bognor Regis - Basically their standard rooms are absolutely disgusting and when you complain the only reply you get is 'you can always leave' - which we did. The room had a broken window, a broken cupboard, excrement up the toilet, cigarette burns on the settee (which was supposed to be used as a bed) and also in the carpet. A light that had burnt out to the point where the shade was burnt. A fire which had a terrible burning smell and sheets which were left outside (in the rain) for us to make our own beds. They did offer us an alternative room but this was just as bad (there were at least 20 other couples complaining at the same time as us) and when we asked for a 'clean' room we were told there were none. We were then told that if we left and did not sign a form to say we would take no further action, they would NOT give us a refund (this is bribery in my books) and so we had no choice but to sign this and receive a refund (2 weeks later). We went to alternative accommodation and this cost up £300 + more than we had expected to pay at Butlins and yet their customer services department feel they have done nothing wrong and that we are entitled to no compensation at all. They also tell you that you can always take your complaint to ABTA - but, guess what, they are NOT ABTA BONDED. We were actually told that as it was our choice to go to alternative accomodation, it was not their responsibility, and yet if we had recieved a clean room we would not have had needed to go elsewhere. We were actually told, "we could have gone home" (nice to see how caring they are as well). This was our first and certainly our last visit to Butlins.
I would also point out that all of their childrens areas (other than one) are complete smoking areas and no regard is given to the health of children - NEVER AGAIN.

Totally agree 100% with everything you say. We have since been to Center Parcs for the same price & had the most fantastic holiday ever. When did Butlins start going SO downhill?

I have not commented on Minehead as I have never been there. Maybe it is not as bad as Bognor Regis. However, reviews are a personal opinion and my review is not incorrect. When we arrived there it was the most disgusting dump I had ever had the misfortune of going to so unless you were there the same time as us, I would suggest you let independent people make independent comments.

Went to Bognor Regis in July, there is a lot of building work in progress do not know when it will be completed.
A reasonable place to go for a weekend or midweek break but there is not enough to keep you entertained for a whole week although the kids will probably be happy.
