Got an online quote, they emailed me ref No for said quote and the price ( £157 ) , tried to buy this policy online as it was a Friday night and I was picking up my bike Sat so needed it urgently - entered the ref No only to get a different quote come up ( £193 ) ! £35 dearer !! Upon calling them Saturday I was told the original underwritters had suspended all internet quotes as they were issueing quotes that were too low ( ??!!) So my new quote was the 2nd best. Was then told it was now £204!!! Crooks.
Had to take it out as I was at the bike shop at this point and didn`t have time to get more quotes. To top it all they are offering £30 cashback with a promo code - however I was told my policy wasn`t valid for this, even though he didn`t even ask for the code!!! , think he was just after more commision. I will be complaining.

I forgot to send off my no claims and returned from holiday to find a load of letters and a note that my insurance had been cancelled. All of those (even the first one) had been written under the premise that I was their enemy and needed a damn good threatening.
Pretty poor so far.
However to completely take the biscuit they have charged a £50 cancellation fee, charged for a couple months insurance (rounded up surpisingly from the 4 weeks that I actually had, and as the premium didn't cover it have sent a demand for more cash.)
In short don't deal with Swinton. They're one of those companies that will take some pretty suspect charges in the knowledge that most people won't take them to court.

First it took ages for the documents to arrive from swinton motorcycle insurance. So long, that I first received a letter telling me that if I don't return the documents within 14 days I will face a fine and my yearly premium will increase by a pound something per month. I ended up having to pick up the documents myself just to find out that the stipulations of the policy say that my bike should be kept in a secure garage! When I clearly stated that it was kept on a driveway.
I felt tricked into this insurance policy, offering me competitive price but as well as that, a policy that didn't apply to me!

Swinton Motorcycle Insurance has quick issue of policy documents and good pricing. Poor and untrained sales and customer service advisors, poor claims service and non-compliance with policy terms.
