“SOFA'S STILL MISSING!!!!!!! SINCE JANUARY 2015”

Ordered over £1000 worth of sofa"s on 10/01/2015 told 8-10 week delivery should have been here by March -'No sign contacted Habitat told should not be much longer??? Than got three texts stating delivery would be morning slot 23/05/2015 Good we thought got rid of old sofa"s to charity had front door removed ready waited & waited no sign contacted call centre who said the sofa"s were not on the lorry I told them they better organise a new lorry then. I got a phone call saying they were actually not in the country but still in Italy what rubbish I than had contact with customer services over the next few weeks who said they had managed to find one sofa I tx them I wanted both sofa"s at the same time as that is what most customers expect when they buy sofa"s Now eventually after me doing all the chasing they are expected sometime on the 20/06/2015 !!!!! Let's see shall we I will never shop or recommend Habitat to anyone and the CEO should be ashamed of the companies performance looking at the many review sites I have and if this delivery is delayed or damaged in anyway look out as Watchdog will be advised the sofas are from the Porto range

“Beware...still no sofa after 3months and another month...”

I ordered the Hendricks 3 seater sofa and side chair on 9th Jan with estimated delivery of 10 weeks-13/03/15. This was then pushed back to 30/03/15, and again to 18/04/15. Was called on Friday past to say delayed again to 21/05/15 two months late. I will be cancelling the order- not wasting my time on them. Customer service line- no one picks up and I have had to chase them. Be warned stay clear of Habitat. Plus no guarantee on a £1k sofa.... ridiculous!!!

“Terrible”

On 5 Jan I ordered two bath towells and a picture frame. About two weeks later I was sent three wooden trays. Somebody obviously had a complete brain fart and sent me completely the wrong items. I called Habitat and told them what had happened. They arranged for the incorrect items to be collected and re-ordered the correct items for me. Supposedly. The delivery company then called to my house on three different occasions and although the wooden trays had been left in a safe place outside my front door they did not pick them up. I called Habitat customer service three more times after this. Each time I was assured that my order was on its way and that the incorrect items would be picked up. When I called a third time I was told to just keep the trays as they couldn't seem to organise the collection. I was told my order would arrive two days ago and I would be emailed a tracking number. None of this has happened. Which means I will have to call them up yet again for a 7th time and be placed on hold for 15 minutes to wait for some incompetent idiot to lie to me. I will be demanding compensation and will never be ordering from them again.

“VERY SLOW DELIVERY”

I ordered a plant pot which was described as blue. When it arrived the colour was more a green/turquoise than blue. The packing was poor, and it was pure luck that it arrived in one piece. The parcel took six days to arrive and there was no tracking. When other companies offer next day delivery as standard I don't think this is good enough. Habitat need to get their act together.

Very poor communication, exorbitant delivery charges and long delivery lead times. We ordered several rugs and other items and it has taken more that 20 days to deliver. There has been no acknowledgement of my written complaints and comments. Customer services are full of excuses and don't resolve problems. All the signs indicate that this is a company in terminal decline. I will never order from them again.

“Still waiting for delivery. Was told in stock when...”

Ordered coffee table 3rd December. Told delivery by 17th. Never turned up. When I eventually got to speak to someone told was not in stock when I ordered It and would come in to warehouse on 1st January. Was told I would then be contacted for delivery. It's now the 10th January and not heard a thing. I have sent 4 emails and rang 12 times spending over 2 hours on the phone and still not got through to anyone. I would never had ordered if I knew I would not get before Christmas. When I did get to speak to someone Before Christmas I stated that on the website it was still saying in stock and delivery within 14 days. She said it would be amended to out of stock immediately. It still hasn't been done. I will never use this company again. APPALLING SERVICE!!!!!

“Don't buy There”

Bought a sofa-bed specially for Christmas and was assured repeatedly that the item was on its way. Yeah, right...I still don't have my sofa-bed or a proper explanation (or apology)why new estimated delivery date is in the middle of January. Go buy elsewhere if you value your time and quality of service you get.

I purchased 2 lamps online that I had seen in the store and really liked and that were unfortunately not available in any of their London stores. Shipping time frame when order was placed was "within 3 day". On day 5 of placing my order and not having received it. I called customer service I was informed order was on its way but they did not have exact delivery date?!. A shipping confirmation and or tracking order were never emailed to me. On day 7 I called again they said it was our for delivery and would arrive no later than 6pm that day. I waited all day stuck in house waiting for these lamps to be delivered. 6pm rolled around still no delivery. Called customer service they told me driver was delayed and that would definitely arrive by 8pm . 8pm rolled around nothing. Called customer service they said they were officially closed for day and could not provide me with any information. Called the following morning to complain told them I had waited ALL DAY for lamps and no delivery. They gave me a 3hr time frame for that day. When lamps finally arrived one of them was damaged/ defective. These were not cheap lamps. Overall horrible customer service and very unprofessional. They need to come up with a more reliable and efficient delivery system and way of communicating shipment status to customers like any decent large company such as theirs would have. Have never seen a poorer service. No eta/ no tracking notification , definitely not within time frame and to top off product arrived damaged. I would say if you absolutely must by product do so in store.

“terrible service!”

I ordered two tatsuma cabinets arrived 23 august. The drawers were missing the backs? I the had to wait a until 5 th August for the replacement. When they arrived there was a box with almost a a full set of pieces for the drawers all except the backs AGAIN!! I know have to wait until 18 th another two weeks to get the backs!! I complained on the phone and was told it would be passed onto management and some kind of compensation could be organised. I have not heard from anyone since and infact was promised call backs regarding delivery day etc and have had too do all the ringing and chaceing up! I was warned by a friend who has had very poor service not to use them as she is still waiting for an order that was promised in two weeks......................6 months later she is still waiting! I will never use HABITAT again!! I ordered the furniture for my babys nursery which should have been set up and ready in plenty of time for the new baby, the baby is due any day NOW and I am living with all the nursey things in boxes ................while I wait ! I am shocked at how no one has called and the ridiculous wait lets hope they get it right third time. I was assured the box would be checked at that the warehouse and it clearly wasnt..................!!

“No customer service at all”

I ordered £250 worth of stuff from habitat online on 16 August. The stuff is fine - I'd bought some of their frames before. My one star "Terrible" is exactly right for what happened next. On the 20th the delivery company left the three very large boxes on my front porch, in full view of the road and passersby. The local police were passing and were thoughtful enough to put them behind our car, where they couldn't be seen. I emailed Habitat on the 21st, pointing out that I regularly get missives from the police because there are lots of burglaries in our area, telling me not to make my home a target for burglars, and how to avoid this. Parcels on the porch all day don't help. I also told them that the local police had seen fit to move them. I had requested a Saturday delivery, and the label on the box said Saturday, but it was delivered on a week day anyway. So I also asked Habitat what the point of asking was if they're just going to disregard my request. A week later I'd still not had a reply to that email, so I forwarded it back to Habitat, said I'd not heard anything, and would they like to comment before I posted a review on their customer service. I've not heard back. Will not be ordering anything from them online again. And given that I don't live near one of their shops, that effectively means I won't be buying from them again.

“Service and quality issues”

I purchased a mirror from habitat, only to find it smashed when i got home. Returned it back to the kings road store, London. Staff replaced it and informed me that there four other mirrors in the same range which were also smashed. I was please that they told me this as I was reassured that it was not me who smashed it on the way home. However, it made me wonder if habitat is all that it is cracked up to be on the quality control front. 2nd purchase: tatsuma wardrobe. Ordered on line. Did not arrive on time due some out of stock issue. It finally arrived is morning. Very frustrating that the screw joints are out of sync so one door cannot be attached and the other needs complete re-alignment. I was going to purchase a kitchen from Habitat but will now probably go elsewhere. Just not worth the risk!

“Terrible for kitchens”

Avoid at any cost Owned by Home Retail Group (Argos / Homebase). I suspect the skillbase is therefore high volume / low value goods. It is not kitchens. I would avoid Habitat like the plague. We removed our kitchen on the basis they would start work on a Monday. They called on Friday afternoon to say there would be a 6.5 week delay. We have no running water, oven etc. Their proposed resolution is maybe we get a tap - they'll call us Monday to let us know. Bear in mind the cost of a kitchen, don't do it. And tell your friends not to do it. They can't deliver the service they claim to offer. I have onlu once in my life posted a complaint online (c10 years ago). This is my second - hopefully that gives you some sense of how cruddy these guys are. I would look anywhere else first.

“Poor customer service”

Awful customer service. The team have clearly not been trained in how to deal with customers and how to find resolutions (even though the customer service team are called the resolution team)... Please please only order from Habitat if you are happy to wait ages for your product, if you are happy to chase them when they promise to call and if you are happy to not have your issues resolved! Poor customer service skills.

“Delivered a damaged table!”

I ordered the Suki foldable table online. They delivered on time but then when it arrived, i opened the box and it was damaged!! There was a massive crack on one side of the table. I was livid as I stayed in the whole day to wait for the delivery. When i rang customer services they were unapologetic and told me that i had to wait 2 weeks for someone to come pick up the damaged table, which meant i had this giant box and unusable table sitting in my living room. Not even an offer of compensation or apology letter. Disgraceful for what should be a reputable company!!

“Worse chest of drawers Perouse ”

We bought a Perouse 3 chest of drawers from Habitat. This is the worst chest I ever assembly and the fixing and the holes are not aligned. the front drawers were so heavy and the vertical sides are not aligned. Terrible chest and cost us more than £300! very bad quality that claimed to made in Italy.

Usual story - promised delivery which failed to arrive on time. Customer Services department a joke. No one prepared to take responsibility for the consequences of their inability to perform. Typical big company where the customer is taken for granted. Leave them well alone and buy elsewhere.

“Teapot purchased that leaks”

I bought a Lapsang teapot from Habitat. A few months later when I first used it, it turned out that it leaks heavily. I emailed Habitat and they told me to send a proof of purchase (so I sent credit card statement). And after all that I was told that I had to return it to a store. Transporting a glass teapot across London is not very easy. I found them very unhelpful and obviously a very bad product. I wasted money and time on this.

“Terrible-Awful!! Don't even bother!!”

Unbelievably poor customer service! still no sign of sofa after 13 weeks. there was a new reason and a new lie every time we called the customer service. Tried to escalate our issue to a manager and the lady whose title is resolution manager did absolutely nothing to help or resolve our issue! They are simply not bothered about their customers and make it really clear!
