“Jetline vacations is a rip off”

This letter is about my stay at Norfolk Inn Paddington, 9/17-9/20/2023. I checked in on 9/17/2023 and asked for assistance with my luggage and the young man said he could not leave the front desk. I have rheumatoid Arthritis, so climbing 2 flights of stairs with my suitcase and handbag was very painful. We checked into 2 rooms. Please note that climbing the stairs, there is broken glass, carpet stinks, and very difficult to walk up. When I got to the rooms, I checked both. They were dirty beyond belief. The bed was broken in one, the toilet seat was broken in the other. There was mold in the bathrooms. Jetline vacations sold this to me as 3star hotel, mind you it should be condemned. I immediately looked at my paperwork and found the number listed to call for emergencies. There was no phone in either of the rooms and my phones didn’t work internationally. So, I went back down to the front desk. I shared with him how disappointed I was. He said that is all he had. I asked him if he could help me make a local call (keep in mind he is on a cell phone watching something), he said they don’t have phones for guests to use. At this point, I went out and bought a sim card for $35pounds. I then called that number multiple times and no answer. So, we had to sleep in that god awful rooms. Then next morning, after not sleeping all night. I finally called Jetline at the main number and was transferred to Jazz. I shared everything with Jazz, including pictures. She said they would see what they could do. I spoke to her several times via email, and she was unresponsive after the first exchange. When I got back to the hotel. Karthik approached me and was upset that I had reached out to Jetline. He said he could change my room (only 1 of the 2). He could move me to the 4th floor (the staircase to get there is about 18 inches wide). I asked him if he could help me with my luggage and he said no. So, at that point, he changed my bed. Karthik smells so bad. Its as if he has not showered for days. He and another gal brought a bed up. He admitted that he knew the bed was broken but they didn’t have any to change it out. Also, they took the sheets off my bed and threw them on the floor. I thought they were going to use fresh sheets. They didn’t, they used the dirty sheets from the dirty floor and put the back on. When I asked them, the girl said they would go through and clean the room tomorrow and that’s the only time they would change sheets. So, I got dirty nasty sheets to sleep on again. When the next morning came, they didn’t do anything to the rooms. I had to go and ask for clean towels. Karthik was at the front desk, and he told me know that they never said they would be doing a full clean. My stay at this hotel made me cry every night. It was hard to breathe because of the mold and dirt. My son has asthma, and this made it flare up. I am disappointed that after talking to the rep, he assured this was a good hotel. You as a company are located in the same city and you have never verified the quality of this hotel. This entire experience has been very disturbing, I asked many times to have my hotel changed and nobody acknowledged that. The employee Karthik made me feel very unsafe. If something had happened, I had now way of contacting anyone as there was no phones in the hotel. From a safety perspective, this was a horrible experience. I had the option of going with a competitor of yours that offered a similar tour at a lesser price. I went with Jetline and paid good money. I do not feel that I got what I paid for.

“JETLINE NO GO”

I WISH I had read these reviews before I booked with Jetline. I've traveled with various companies over 10 years and never required to put 50% down. Unfortunately, my travel partner will require surgery during the travel dates. Initially, was helpful telling me not once but probably 8 times, I should have gotten travel insurance (yes, I know this and typically do so, when offered through the travel company). He no longer seemed interested in helping as he said he would contact me in the next two days with spring dates for the same trip, however, he said we were required to pay the additional 50% to get this information. Who would pay almost $2,000 for unknown dates and no refunds or hold my deposit for another trip? He said if I paid for my own airfare, he would give me the hotels free. He also informed me HE would be going on vacation and no one else could help me during that time. Yes, I should have had travel insurance but also lost of weeks of valuable time because the individual calling to request the other 50% payment, had such a strong accent that we couldn't decipher what he was saying. We should be on a plane today, but instead I donated almost $1,000 to this company. Buyer beware.

“Jetliner Holidays avoid at all cost.”

Jetline Holidays, Misleading pricing, Advised hotel not available when on checking it was. Wanted to move us to a more expensive one. Began to smell a problem and advised them to cancel everything. They said not able to cancel as flights booked even though it was less than an hour since we had completed the transaction. Took credit card details and the subsequently tried to add an admin fee that had not been previously discussed. Promoted through Daily Mail & Mail Travel which surprised me as their tagline is “ a brand you know and trust” Look a the many negative reviews on Trustpilot and other review sites before you even consider booking with them!

Booked Tenerife holiday for early summer and the process was very easy and quick. The agent found a couple of hotels we liked and the flights were decent timings. Compared to other agencies Jetline Holidays were pain free. Will use again and recommend.

“Now £1364 is gone!!!!!!!”

Booked Holiday and paid £1364, due to covid the holidays were not happened.Now they issued a credit note for £732! I lost £632!!!! No explanation for that! Update: After seeing this review jetline contacted me and given another voucher worth from Rynair. Today,31st Jan, I have tried to book a holiday from them which cost £937 with voucher value of £952.32. Now they are asking me £400 !!!!!!! Get away from them. They are looting customers like me ,My hardworking earning money they are taken !!! I have all evidence in email ! Now £1364 is gone!!!!!!!

“Be very wary about booking with Jetline ”

Please be very wary about booking with Jetline. Our cruise was cancelled 1st December 2021 and we requested a refund amounting to £3500. After numerous emails and phone calls over several months we threatened legal action. We were asked for our bank details and promised a refund in three monthly installments. The first month came and went - no money. They said there would be a further delay of 6 weeks. I wrote to them saying I would take legal action if the refund was not paid in the next 14 days. They did not bother to reply to this letter so I made a claim against them through the small claims court (this is quick and simple to do online). They responded by saying if I dropped the claim they would refund me in three monthly installments (where had I heard this before!!) and include the fees of £220 I paid to the claims court. I did not believe them so continued with my claim. Finally I have received the final installment. It has been VERY stressful and they need to improve their customer service. When they have the decency to respond to your emails they make excuses and promises they do not keep. I will never book with them again and can only pass on my experience to others to make them aware. It might seem like you are getting a good deal but is it worth the hassle if you need to complain or heaven forbid claim a refund. Sent from my Galaxy

“Trickery”

I recently booked a vacation through this company for a trip to an all inclusive resort which we were told that it was in Cancun, Mexico by the the reservation agent. The resort called the Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an is in Quintana Roo, which is almost 2 hours away from Cancun. The Beaches there is terrible, overcrowded, the water is full of rocks, there was an 1 hour wait for towels, you had to pay for any food or drinks there, we had to look for chairs, and the hotel shuttle Gulf cart service took about 15 to 20 minutes to get you to the beach. We left there after 10 minutes and went back to the resort. This was a last minute trip, if the agent would have told us that this resort was not in Cancun, we would not have stayed at this resort. We had to stay at the pools on this resort. If you're looking for a beautiful beach vacation, don't stay here at this resort.

Stay away from JetLine Holidays. We booked a trip to Greece in October 2021 and paid our down payment of $800. A month later, we added a 2nd booking to add family members to our trip and paid an additional $800 downpayment. She insisted we pay an additional $4,800 two weeks after the downpayment. Our booking confirmations stated specifically departure and arrival times. She phone in late November with tentative flight information which included a 20 hour layover in Munich. Prior to booking, I told her that we were traveling with small children and that we would not accept extensive layovers. Since November 2021, I understand the price of jet fuel and most everything else has increased. Our final payment was not due until August 22, 2022 but JetLine Vacations harassed us monthly for payment. Two weeks ago she sent the recommended flights which departed Newark - not JFK as our booking confirmation indicated. Our plan was to fly into Athens and spend 3-days and then fly to Mykonos for an additional 3-days; then, another flight to Santorini for 3-days and then onto Crete for an additional 3-night stay before taking a flight back to Athens for our international return flight. Prior to booking, we discussed the price difference between flights versus ferry. While the ferry cost is much less, the time of the ferry crossings are horrendous (1-hour flight versus 6 - 8 hour ferry). When we received his recommended intra-island flight suggestions, he had us departing at 6:15AM on one flight and at 10:50PM on another flight which did not arrive at the destination until after midnight due to a layover in Athens. When we emailed to cancel the trip, he phoned to let us know that we were not entitled to any refund even though JetLine Vacations own TERMS & CONDITIONS indicates that we are entitled to a full refund if they are unable to provide the booking experience we signed up for due to circumstances beyond their control. Again, I understand costs have gone up but they wanted us to pay an additional $2,000 for a direct flight and pay an additional $2,000 for baggage. I have contacted TravelZoo and explained our situation and suggested TravelZoo perform its due diligence on its travel partner. Immediate response from TravelZoo but unwilling to jeopardize its relationship with its stream of income. Because JetLine Vacations is headquartered in London, filing a lawsuit to recover our funds is expensive but worthless. Steer clear of JetLine Vacation/JetLine Holidays. They are not professional, could care less about customer service, and knowingly accuse you (not them) of errors on travel arrangements.

“Worst Vacation Ever!”

Just returned from my vacation. I have never had such a stressful trip in my life. Before I even left, I found a gliche in the connecting flights due to schedule change that would have left us stranded for an extra day (missing our connecting transatlantic flight). The vacation was advertised as a Sorrento Coast Experience. We were no where near Sorrento, more like a suburb of Naples, Castellamarre. Our hotel was located far from the town, thus stranding us and forcing us to eat dinner in the very expensive hotel restaurant. Although we had great views of Mount Vesuvius, we had to look past the deserted and vandalized hotels surrounding us. My daughter joked and said they were Chernobyl Hotels. I tried to make the best of it and enjoy our vacation. After resigning myself to having to pay a premium for taxi service in the area, we managed to have a decent time. Then on our way home, the local tour guide laison was uncooperative when the time came to transport us to Naples. We had to stay an extra night in Naples due to the readjusted flight home. The driver would not take us to the hotel , he insisted on dropping us off at the airport, which we then took a taxi to the hotel. Next day when we go back to the airport to check in, they can't find our flights. We are a party of 4. I showed them my papers, they still couldn't find any reservation. We almost missed our flight. Finally I got so upset that I called Jetline and told them there was no record of our return flight anywhere. Somehow, TAP Air Portugal believed us and got us on the flight, in the nick of time. I can't tell you how stressful that was. I knew something was up when Jetline didn't send me an revised itinerary before we left, even though I had asked them repeatedly. They sent me a screen shot of the airline's web page with our reservation, I thought that would be good enough, but it wasn't. I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH JETLINE VACATIONS AGAIN!!!

“Review of Jetline Vacations aka Jetline Holidays”

Review of Jetline Vacations Date of Travel: May 5 to May 15, 2022 – 2 Days in Athens, plus 7 Day Greek Island Cruise I would stay away from this company – unless you like having to check everything carefully, flying by the seat of your pants not sure what is going on, wondering what is next due to lack of communication, and paying much more because of shady practices, omissions, and poor communication. These are the main issues/problems I had with Jetline Vacations: Sloppy or Incorrect Information/Paperwork: • Had to carefully check everything as Jetline was sloppy with their paperwork. For example: on my confirmation it showed the dates of the excursions as a day off. • My paperwork said that my cruise ship was going to be the Celestyal Experience Room 4048 – and I even called to confirm this because it said Experience in some places, and in other places it said the Celestyal Crystal. Jetline assured me it would be the Experience (which is a newer ship than the Crystal). So, my driver is driving around trying to find the Experience, but only the Crystal is at port. Finally, we drove up to the Crystal and sure enough, my ship was the Crystal and not the Experience. I ended up in Celestyal Crystal Room 3109 – not the newer ship. • My flight information said my air carrier was Air Canada. However, it failed to mention that Luftsansia was my carrier returning. Air Canada was only on the departing carrier. On another document from Jetline, it said my airline would be “Picasso Flights”, whoever that is. Planning Mistakes/Inconveniences: • Jetline reserved my transfer pickup from the hotel to the cruise line at the same time the cruise was departing. Thankfully, I caught it in time and had to contact the transfer provider to get picked up earlier in the day, otherwise I would have missed the boat--literally. • For some reason, my vacation deal did not include transfers from the airport to the hotel. It only provided transfers from the hotel to the cruise ship (and the times Jetline booked for pickup were wrong). I would have expected to have that included. I realized that at the last minute and was scrambling to find a company to provide that service. • Jetline did not provide any information about luggage requirements – so I called Jetline and they told me that I could have a standard piece and a carryon free of charge. When I got to the airport, there was nothing in my record to indicate that, so I was charged for my checked piece $70 each way. • The hotel that Jetline booked me in was adequate, but the location was kinda scary. As a solo female traveler, I had to walk past vagrants lying on the sidewalk with graffiti and trash everywhere. Not to mention the smell... • No itinerary of the cruise ports of call, times in each port, etc. was provided by Jetline. I requested it, but I guess Jetline must have forgotten. I ended up going to the cruise line itself who did provide an itinerary, but they were reluctant as that “should have been provided by your travel company”. • When my cruise ship came to port at the end of the cruise, my ride did not pick me up. I waited a half hour past the supposed time of pickup and finally, at my own cost, got a taxi to get me to my hotel. I only had one day in Athens, so didn’t want to miss out on time I could be seeing things there. Poor Communication: • When the cruise ship cancelled their bookings in 2021, I was only about a month out from the date of departure, and I had to contact the cruise line myself to confirm what was going on. Jetline didn’t provide that information in a timely manner. Jetline obviously was not monitoring the situation with the cruise lines. • There was basically no information from Jetline regarding Covid requirements. All I got was an email that said to Google Covid requirements for the country visited. You were pretty much on your own. • There has been no follow-up from Jetline after the vacation. No email saying hope your vacation was a success, hope to see you again, etc., etc. Dubious Business Practices: • Due to Covid, my original date for this vacation was rescheduled. When it was rescheduled, suddenly now I have to pay an additional $1,000 due to no fault of my own. • Both when I booked originally and when it was rescheduled due to Covid, Jetline plays a game where for the original price quoted (the better price), you have to fly with an 8 hour layover. Then, Jetline puts you on hold and comes back with a better connection time for quite a bit more money. I had to deal with a lot of these issues on my first day in Athens (changing time for transfer to cruise ship, etc. ) keeping me from actually relaxing and enjoying my first day in the city. I figure it cost me about $300 more due to cost of luggage Jetline told me would be included, transfers to and from the airport to the hotel, and the additional cost of a taxi from the cruise ship to the hotel. Not to mention the $1,000 it cost for having to reschedule due to the cruise lines cancelling the original cruise due to Covid.

May 2020 Cruise was cancelled due to covid and still owed money! Yes you read correctly. It's not a typo. 2020! Partial refund which took until 2021. Still awaiting remainder £3000. Refund date repeatedly pushed back. Apparently we will receive OUR money by the end of April 2022......I wonder?????? We cut them plenty of slack initially as appreciated that covid caused the travel industry alot of pain. However this treatment is a joke! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

“Absolute joke”

ABSOLUTE JOKE. Absolute joke of a company who are quick to take your money but trying to get a refund is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Our Caribbean cruise for 19th January was cancelled the week before sailing date yet we received no notice from jetline and could have flown to miami, turned up at the port to find there was no ship to board. Luckily 3 days before our flight we read on a cruise site that the cruise was cancelled so scrambled around to find alternative arrangements for our dates. We have received our deposit monies from NCL so obviously they have refunded jetline at the same time yet we are still chasing our cash. Every time I call them I can't understand them as they all seem to speak very poor English, I am so frustrated with this outfit and will definitely avoid them for future bookings. Be aware and stay away, use another travel agents.

“JETLINE HOLIDAYS IS THE WORST!!!”

Jetline Holidays is hands down the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!! - It is less than a week before we travel and we still dont even have the name of our hotel. - The Voucher for the tour we scheduled is set for the same time as our flight arrival time. - The customer service people are rude and continually talk over you. - They completely ignore questions about shuttles too and from hotels and tours. - They have not furnished the required ATOL Certificate required by law. - Our "discounted flights" did not come with baggage and it was an extra $500 for one bag for my wife and I and to select seats. Which defeats any saving advantage of going through this bargain vacation listing from Travelzoo. - They have repeated told us that all of the information would finally be send to us two weeks before we travel. This did not happen and when we called they gave us yet another date and guaranteed it and asked that we call their customer service today. Yet it was closed when I called! They make traveling Extremely Frustrating! Which is the Exact opposite of what you want in a travel company.

I prepaid for a vacation to Portugal and Spain with them. They canceled the trip due to covid and refused to refund over 50% of my money! They gave me a $1000 credit on a trip I had paid nearly $2500 for. I will never book with them again and urge anyone thinking about it not too. Or, if you do, make sure you buy trip insurance.

“Cancelled cruise on Norwegian epic”

Booked first July 2020 for sept paid £800 deposit thy never invoiced for the balance we knew the ship couldn't sail. We asked them to return the deposit they refused said we didn't pay the balance on time. But we could transfer the deposit to May next year so we did. Then paid the full balance on time total £ 2800. This cruise was also cancelled. We were not contacted at all and when we rang asking if the ship was sailing six days before due we were told it was cancelled , so I asked for a full refund only to be told it would be at least. 180 days this means they have had my money for over 14 months. Don't deal with this company. We feel like our cruising days are over for good

“I'd trust a snake-oil salesmen more than Jetline!”

MY OPINION IN A NUTSHELL: Unscrupulous! We paid for a trip to Italy last year because the rep for Jetline Holidays, PROMISED that if 'Covid should prevent us from taking the trip, that Jetline would immediately refund our money.' We've had 6 conversations with him, including tonight's call and PAGES of documentation. For the first 5 calls, he led us along, asking that we 'give it a couple more weeks and see if the travel restrictions to Italy would lift.' It's globally known that Americans may not travel to Italy due to Covid and yet he OFFERED us a few hundred bucks back as a refund -- AS IF HE OR JETLINE HAS A SAY IN THIS MATTER -- AS IF WE ARE NEGOTIATING THE REFUND OF OUR OWN MONEY FOR WHAT JETLINE CAN NOT DELIVER! (*he said that all calls are recorded, so every syllable of his smooth-talking snake-oil salesman spiel was indeed recorded. Bravo! We'll be retrieving those conversations and I will publicly post them as well.) My husband has contacted our credit card company and is on the phone now with our attorney; and my next contact, in a minute, will be to the news stations, to Travel Zoo (where this shady company finds its unsuspecting victims), and then to the Managing Director for this wannabe company. RUN, don't walk from this pathetic excuse for a travel company. I have a feeling that they're on the way out and unable to repay the money to travelers whose plans were canceled by the pandemic -- and (based on the COUNTLESS similar reviews I've just seen) that Jetline thinks they can take everyone's funds with them. If anyone wants to be connected to our attorney who will be handling this matter, please reach out. I'm sure his firm will be pleased to right the wrongs of this deceitful company. (*Don't forget to add to your damages all the countless hours you've spent on this matter, with Jetline, with your banks, with the credit card companies, with Travel Zoo, and with your attorneys; AND make sure you recover attorneys fees spent, of course. Time is money and I plan to recoup every dime and would be pleased to assist others to do the same.)

I am thinking of booking with Jetline cruises going to Las Vegas and then on Hawaii for a cruise in October this year. Having read some of the reviews I was a little concerned whether to go ahead with them. What would you recommend?

After our experiences with Jetline I cannot recommend them. I can only suggest that if you do decide to proceed take great care to check their invoice (if you get one). Take especial care if you make any changes to your original booking. They seem to us to have a deliberate policy of misleading and not producing up to date paperwork.

100% don't bother took my booking and credit card details phoned back 15 minutes later to say sorry we cant secure the accommodation so we can supply the flights for £50 more than you could have booked them yourself and if you want alternative accommodation it will be an extra £140.............how come you took my credit card details without confirming it was all in place???? Then when I say cancel flights then I will go elsewhere you say there will be a £90 cancellation fee???...........I think you can go take a running jump what a joke!!! My advice deal direct with airlines and hotels or use a reputable supplier such as Travel Republic!!!
