“Online usage”

I've only ever got DP items online, they all come very quickly via a courier and its trackable. It is an expensive shop but with the use of promo codes, sales and student discounts it can become affordable. My quibble is the sizing, using the online size guide I come up as a size 18 jeans but these are actually too big and end up falling down without a belt to hoist them up, so I recently ordered a 16 instead which are loads better - same with tops and dresses, I'm a size smaller than what they say I am! but when you suss out what size you really are it's a great fit and some very curvy friendly items available plus some gorgeous shoes. Though I've noticed when ordering shoes online they come brand new, unworn and incredibly stiff so take a few painful days of being broken in. The delivery charge is quite a lot too, and to get free delivery you have to spend £75 which is also really high. But ultimately I'd use it over again and recommend it.

“Shopping experience”

Went into a store to be greeted by two members of staff one at each end of the store having very loud discussion. when my daughter went to take an item off a rail she was brushed aside by staff member hanging clothes back on the rail. When it came to paying for an item there were two staff members on till and two or three customers waiting. Having served one customer the staff member wandered off for a chat with the customer whom she obviously knew leaving another staff member having to come to the till to take over. Overall the shopping experience showed that training and professionalism are not at the top of This stores agenda

“Always good”

After reading these reviews I am surprised i live in the UK and have never had any problems with Dorothy Perkins. All issues have been redily sorted out by customer services they even assist you via facebook. It may take them a few working days to reply via email but this is to be expected and if necessary you can contact them via phone. Generally the products are fantastic and a good price. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs some good clothes at a sensible price.

“Customer Service won't reply”

I ordered some t-shirts and paid for fast delivery as I was going away. The parcel should have arrived on a Saturday and when there was no sign of it I tracked the parcel to find it had been delivered. I asked my neighbours and looked in the bin cupboard but it wasn't there(there was no card left through the letter box telling mem where it was). So I emailed them immediately. I just got a cirular-type reply telling me about tracking. I then emailed again and got the same reply. Instead of using their contact form, I emailed customer support directly and I still haven't had a reply. I went away the following day without the t-shirts I needed and have just returned. Having been to empty the bins and moving one of them, I've found the soaking wet parcel right behind the bins on the floor. The address label is ruined with no address on it at all, so I don't even know who delivered it. It was so dark in there that I hadn't seen it before and din't expect it to be wedged down the back of the bin on the floor. The delivery person must have put it there, but how was I expected to know? I have had many other deliveries left in this cupboard but the parcel is always put carefully on the top of one of the bins, and a card is put through the letter box. I just can't get Dorothy Perkins to reply to my pleas for help. I only needed the tops to take away with me and they are of no use. I want to know that I will get the postage repaid if I return them. I order online all the time and never had this happen before. I'll not use them again. I can forgive them the unreliable delivery firm if Dorothy Perkins had answered me and helped me out when I most needed it. There is no customer service at all.

“WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!”

I ordered bridesmaid's dresses from dorothyperkins.com. I was excited because they were really cute, inexpensive, and I could get "free shipping". Yeah, I got the dresses and EVERY SINGLE ONE was the wrong size. Whoever packed that order was high because I did not get one thing that I ordered. The correct dresses, yes, but all of them were wrong. Also, I have been unable to get ahold of anyone to fix it. Worse online shopping experience I have ever had. Never again will I order from them.

“Damp,wet shoes!”

My shoes arrived in a wet,soggy and fallen apart box. When I took my shoes out of the box my shoes were very damp! I have used Dorothy Perkins online before and have had no problems. But this time I was so disappointed with the service I had been given. I have since returned the shoes as they were not in an adequate condition.

“Don't do it!”

I live in the US and ordered some dresses with the "free shipping and tracking" promo. After a week I received an email stating that I owed an additional $70.00 for customs fees. No where on the website does it mention customs fees. I have sent three emails cancelling the order with no response from them and no contact telephone number. I will now contact my American Express card and stop payment. I'm out $200. Never again!

“wrong dress - no refund. never again.”

Not only was my order 2 weeks later than it said it would be - it was completely the wrong dress. I had to pay 10 bucks to have it shipped back to them. Also, they are only refunding me $39 of the $49 bucks I spent - not including the $10 I spent on shipping it back to them. I've sent 4 emails asking to speak with someone and to get a full refund seeing as this is not my fault, but no response. And no phone number? shady. Shoddy customer service, unfair return policy, and still waiting for a refund for a dress I purchased in July, received in August, and returned in August.

“Never Again!”

I have ordered several pairs of jeans online from Dorothy Perkins over the past few months, as they do not stock all sizes in store. Until now I have been happy with purchases. Last week I ordered black skinny jeans and when they arrived I naively assumed that they would be like the indigo skinny jeans I had bought previously so I threw out all the return info etc. Tried the jeans on today.....They are awful. They are baggy at the knee, unlike the indigo ones and at the inner thigh one side is cut differently to the other causing a ridiculous looking bulge which makes it impossible to wear them unless a very long jumper covers the thigh area! I will never buy jeans from Dorothy Perkins again and will now be looking elsewhere. There is nothing consistent about what they send customers. These jeans are trash.

“Absolutely Shocking”

Ordered a pair of shoes on next day delivery, and they didn't arrive. I sent three emails, no reply. I called customer service, they said their call centre aren't the ones who receive the emails, that's the London HQ and, I quote, "They're all useless"... He did me a refund of my delivery and promised to email me to tell me when the shoes were actually going to be delivered. Shockingly (not), he didn't and I still haven't received the shoes. Appalling service, rude staff and poor quality delivery. Wouldn't ever order from them again.

“Customer Service”

First, the clothes are adorable, and they run really great sales. I ordered once from them with zero problem and loved everything. Just ordered a second time and had a bit of an issue, though. It's difficult to track down the number for customer service, because none of the links for the number on their website actually lead anywhere (it's +44.1932.219380). The wait time is kind of ridiculous, but when I finally got through to someone she was helpful. It's added inconvenience when you're calling from the US and the call is costing you an arm and a leg while you're on hold, though. *NB: Be careful when placing an online order, and double-check that everything is 100% right. After I hit confirm and pay, the amount that came up was $30 higher than what I'd agreed to pay (apparently faster shipping somehow got selected). After our phone conversation they did tell me that they would credit me the $30 as a 'courtesy gesture' since I'd just placed the order, but that they can't refund the money until after the order has shipped. She said she'd send me an email confirmation straight away, and I double checked she had the right address. It's been about two days and no email. So, fingers crossed, but I can't say I'm extremely hopeful.

“DOROTHY PERKINS SHOULD BE ASHAMED”

Ordered a dress 17th July via internet (taking immediate payment), asking for it to be delivered to our local store. Received e-mail saying it had arrived. Went to store - no record of it. So when we got home we tracked the item which had in fact been delivered and accepted to a store 1-2 hour drive away - completely the wrong store, we understood by DP Customer Services that store should not have taken delivery of the item when it was clearly labelled which store it needed to be delivered to. After a number of phone calls which cost the customer, it was decided we could have our money back ...... oh ...... Still waiting! Tried to get through to their accounts department after being put through by a customer service assistant who was very apologetic, but the accounts would not pick up I waited for over 10 mins at 10p/p/min. I then went back through to Customer Services told them I could not get through and wished to speak to a manager and was told to talk to a manager it was the same number as the accounts dept, which would not answer!!!! I then asked for them to ring me back as I was fed up of paying for phone calls and not getting an answer ...... guess what still waiting!! Meanwhile they have my money, is this not theft!!! I would not recommend DP to anyone. If they have to close it is their fault ..... CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. We will not purchase anything from them again. THIEVES!!

“HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE”

I can't begin to tell everyone how much I HATE Dorothy Perkins. I ordered a dress 3 weeks ago (international) and it still has not arrived!! I've called Customer Service twice and emailed the webstie SIX TIMES and no one has gotten back to me! They say they can't track my order?! With the technology these days that is a LIE. They keep telling me to wait longer for my order and hopefully it will come. I will be going to my bank to tell them to dispute this payment because at this rate I will NEVER get my items I ordered. There is NO WAY this company should still be in business with how bad their customer service and website are.

I agree with you. I just wish I saw the negative reviews before I ordered from this website. My order is lost and the customer service is not replying to my e-mails (I e-mailed them three times so far). I contacted the post office in my country and they haven't received any of the ordered goods (the total value of which is almost 100 Euros). This is my second order from DP; the first one arrived on time. This also proves that there is no problem with my address or the fact that I am an international customer. The problem is with DP itself. Terrible website and even more terrible customer service! I

Agree! Late Order + irresponsible customer service! I placed the order on 8th July, n the auto-message told me that I will receive my order no later than 13 th August , I wrote to them ask the status of my order,they just revert with this formatted long message of how long each type of delivery may take.

The ridiculous message from them is:
f your order is being delivered to an address outside of the UK and was ordered on Standard Delivery, we would ask that you allow a minimum of 2 weeks for your parcel to reach you.

“Lost my return, unresponsive customer service.”

Ordered some sale items and wanted to return about £70 worth. packaged the return, as per their instruction and using their recommended courier service. 3 weeks later and the parcel never got there. Called the courier service (Collect+) and they said it was never picked up from where I dropped it off. Apparently my problem / contract is with DP so Collect+ cannot help or compensate in any way. Have emailed DP repeatedly and had no help at all. £70 down thanks to their shoddy service, with their courier service / Collect+ points stealing items right under their noses. WILL NEVER SHOP WITH DOROTHY PERKINS AGAIN.

“Absolutely awful customer service and refund procedure”

Have to say either the company do not have any staff to answer emails and phone calls or they sit around doing nothing. The customer services is appalling, no-one gets back to you. I returned an item over a month ago and I'm still waiting for my money back. They claim there is a problem, but in order for it to be looked into and sorted out, I (the customer) is expected to sit on the phone for an hour to get this resolved. They do not act... Would not want anyone to go through this and will not be shopping or spending money with a company that works like this

“Too slow, terrible customer focus”

I placed an order (a maxi dress through international shipment delivery) and wanted to amend it to make sure that i get the parcel in time, as I was expecting an occasion in an upcoming future. Normally, plain shipment comes in 5 days. But ot secure mroe time I wanted to pay extra or cancel the shipment an hour after I had made an order online. There is no option that allows amending your shipment. So, i tried to contact the customer service through email and through their web page. Despite I flagged out that the enquiry is pretty urgent, I didn't receive any reply. I tried to reach the office through the phone number of times, spent lots of money for international calls. But could not get through. I even tried their Ireland and EU offices. I was digging their website to find out any additional emails, as those I was trying to reach never came back to me. Although, the automatic reply promisses that the customer service officer will get back to me in 48 hours. All those days the status of the shipment was showing that my order is still at the warehouse. When I finally lost my hope and received a notification informing that my order has finally been dispatched, customer service officer got back to me saying that there is no way he could help.
