While shopping in Washington Tyne and wear store,I was pleased with one of the assistants, as she was very helpful and showed me something new that came into the shop , I felt like she was genuinely trying to help me and was very friendly, I just think that people like this should be praised for doing a good job and making the customer feel important as there are so many negative reviews I think positive ones are essential, I bought a lovely candle and a cushion.. she showed an interest asking me what room I was putting the cushion in . I was in the store on Friday 26th January. Thank you so much .

“Problems with beds delivery”

I ordered 2 kids bed with assembly but they send without assembly which I pause for it they wanted to deliver without the assembly and after lots of taking in a rude ways the rescheduled a delivery with assembly after 4 days.

“SPENT £110 CONFUSION ON DELIVERY”

This is first time shopping with next ,could be last ,,£110, but I'm given no information tracking details on delivery ,after phoning twice no tracking info just says delivery today 29th by evrie, but evrie have made NO CONTACT WOTH ME , suggesting they have not my next parcel, as a disabled ex military man I am disapointed in next confuseing lack of care & information,if I don't get the items paid for I will pursue refund from next , one * next ,get organised treat customers with respect.

“Disappointing mail order and frustrating customer service”

I have, today, contacted Next to close my online account. This follows two very disappointing mail order experiences. The first had an item that was markedly discoloured. Next customer service refunded the postage, although this left me having payed a higher than expected price for the other item, although as that was the specific item I particularly wanted I accepted the resolution, despite being disappointed. The second order was utterly dreadful. I ordered the item and on arrival it was clear it was mislabelled (I ordered XL which has always fitted me very well, but this item was clearly XXL) I accepted that "these things happen and arranged to return the item, with a view to dropping it off at Next's nearest store within a day or two. The following day I found an Evri "I missed your collection" card in my letterbox. I telephoned Next and explained I had not asked for a collection was intending to return the item to the store etc.The gentleman I spoke to told me that he had cancelled the erroneous Evri collection. The following day I returned the item to the store for refund. The day after that Evri called again clearly not having been notified by Next customer service that I was dropping the item back to their store. I complained to Next online and was given a small refund that, in theory covered my expenses. On returning the item I was told that I would receive the refund within 7 to 10 days (this is actually different from Next's own website that suggests it would take 3 to 5 days, but to allow a little longer for it to reach my account). After 10 days I had not received the refund and contacted Next who wrote back to me to inform me they had now put the refund through (which I have received today). The catch is that Next have not refunded the postage cost of £6 so, in reality, considering I made an almost 50 mile round trip to return the goods and have spent a considerable time following this matter up the small compensatory payment and refund (less postage) has barely covered what the item originally cost me. I am of the opinion that, sadly, Next's online customer service has not met the minimum requirements for a company with whom I would wish to purchase from, hence, my request to them to close my account.

“Most uncomfortable bras”

Bought these wire free bras for comfort. Thought no wire to dig in = extra comfy. Despite them fitting the shape of the cups are a bit weird, still I thought they would soften in time. However I have tried to wear them and they are the most uncomfortable bras I have ever owned

“Great customer service”

Having seen all of the bad reviews, I had to write a good review. I bought a coat 2 weeks ago. As often happens the coat was then put in the sale. Its now £72.00 cheaper! That's a huge amount of money, so I emailed Next and explained the situation. They told me I could return the coat for a refund and buy a new one at the sale price. Straight away I thought this was excellent. However when I received the confirmation of the new order, delivery wasn't until 9th. April. I phoned them to tell them I was going away so needed it before then, and to cut a long story short, they then agreed to refund the full cost of my coat, without having to return it, and cancelled the new order.

“Multiple failed deliveries - item cancelled at 1hr notice”

I ordered and paid for a mattress on January 16 2023. I was told it would be delivered in 4 weeks. I heard nothing. No updates on my online account. I called Next 4 weeks after the order was made only to be told they were 'very confused' as to what had happened. After multiple phone calls - I was on hold for at least 15 mins per call - they informed me the item hadn't been picked up from the warehouse and was 'lost'. I (stupidly) re-ordered. The item was due for delivery March 12 2023. I received multiple text messages confirming delivery and Next also confirmed when I called them - despite my online account still stating 'due for pick up'. I received 2 texts 1 hr before the scheduled delivery time. The first informing me there would be a delay due to 'vehicle issues'. The second informing me the delivery would be cancelled and it would be delivered tomorrow on an 'all day slot'. I called Next, who - after 65 mins - informed me that, yet again, the item had not been picked up from the warehouse and was once again 'lost'. I have arranged for my current mattress to be collected in the morning - it's too late to cancel without a fine. Next clearly don't have the infrastructure / systems in place for the delivery of items other than clothing. I would strongly recommend consumers shop elsewhere for furniture and home products.

“Massive sofa delays”

We ordered a large sofa, a small sofa and a footstool in June 2022. We were told availability would be 14 weeks, but we have only received the large sofa in January 2023. We are still waiting on the rest of our order and have been told the remaining furniture will arrive in April 2023 (10 months since we first ordered). It has been a constant battle to receive updates from Next. When we eventually hear from them and obtain an updated delivery date, it is pushed back months at a time, and we're only updated about further delays a week or so before we expect it. This has happened several times. Their only reason is 'supplier delays'. I would potentially understand if the sofas/footstool were all different, but they are all the same design/fabric/manufacturer. Next's response is very airy when discussing compensation, and there is no sense that they are prepared to resolve anything. I am hugely disappointed and would not recommend Next for their furniture.

“Unless you want a breakdown don’t use them”

Seriously guys NEVER GO WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN!!3rd of January 2022 I order a parcel from them and payed to be delivered on the 4th of January that never happened and only delivered half of the parcel!!On the phone apart from their pathetic apologies ;you get some imbeciles who can’t spell an email address, you have to dictate the letters like children,in the end get a cynical cow who wanted me to given more time (tomorrow is the 6th so think again if you are working) I had to literally tell them deliver my parcel or else will chase the refund with my bank THANK GOD I PAID WITH MY BANK CARD SO UNLESS U WANNA END UP WITH A BREAKDOWN DON’T ORDER

“Unhelpful returns policy”

My step-daughter sent me a fleece and some socks for Christmas that she had purchased online. The fleece was absolutely huge. Took it back to my local store and they said that both it and the socks must be returned as they part of one order! Further, they would only credit her account with the refund and not let me choose anything else. Pointed out I was trying to avoid troubling her with this and didn't really want her to know I had had to make the return (with the addition of the socks to the return it seemed very rude) but that fell on deaf ears. To make matters worse, the socks, when scanned, came up as £7.50 whereas the delivery note I produced revealed she had spent £15 on them. Pointed this out and was told they were not in the sale!! Said they clearly weren't when she purchased them and reluctantly the assistant agreed. Of course, in the end I had to alert my step-daughter to all of this. I was never a Next customer but will never, ever be one now anyway. Appalling service with no hint of an apology.

“Threatening and Harassing VIP & Unlimited customer ”

I write to warn everyone who wanna place any order from NEXT think TWICE! This company is the worst company I ever seen. I have been a loyal NEXT VIP and Unlimited customer, I ordered over £20000 with this company, they send out faulty and broken items so I returned items by their EVRI courier collection with tags and all in original packaging I had all the proof of online purchase and NEXT refused to refund me, I need to dispute each transactions with my bank and still in process. After I raised dispute with my bank, few days later NEXT sent two guys from agency to my home address with my private details and my family personal details as well all printed on paper obviously NEXT did a hard search without customer permission and they use camera recorded our faces and vehicles, they are threatening and harassing me and my family. NEXT are clearly using this as a way to avoid refunds which is absolutely disgusted! I will NEVER EVER shop with NEXT again, extremely rude staff ( Female Manager of BICESTER NEXT store ), shocking online customer service, shame on them! Be prepare to deal with many phone calls, emails, worries, waste of time and losing your money if you wanna order from this company!!!!!!!

“1 month to deliver in-stock clothes”

Amazed they take this long to deliver apparently in-stock clothes. Rang customer service who confirmed this is normal and it will take 21 days or more as the stock is wrong online, warehouse is slow and said some clothes are shipped from various other warehouse first. Joke you pay for this slow postage when rivals ship free 1 to 5 days

“Don’t trust the picture”

Sent for a dress which showed black/white on the picture, but when it came it was actually a dull cream and black. The description did say ‘monochrome’ but most people would understand that to be black/white not cream and white. Material was poor as well. Picture looked as if it was crisp & fresh, but in truth it was a cheap jersey-like material which just hung with no shape. Sent it straight back. End of shopping online, you just can’t trust what you think you see.

“Beware if returning via courier”

I have ordered and spent thousands of pounds with next, yet because some of my returns have gone missing since leaving me I'm the one being punished. Absolutely disgusted with how they have treated me! Do they seriously expect me to pay for item's I have returned? So because I have notified them of these reoccurring problem I'm the one being blamed for their warehouse issues!!! This final problem I have experienced with Next is the final straw. There has been so much incompetence from them, they have truly gone too far now. I have been looking into other people's issue's with them and there is a hell of a lot of them. Next is another high street on it's way down. You can't treat customers like this. I have never been so insulted in my life, they have basically called me a liar and a theif!!! You have lost me and all my friends and family as valuable customers now. There sure to loose many more.

Get Ready to Glow Beauty Box Quality products. Amazing value for money, I can’t believe how much you get in the beauty box for £20 and it’s neatly packaged too. It feels like a lovely treat, the perfume smells OK very sweet - not for me but Liz Earle skin repair, alone costs £24, so this box is a bargain!! Dermalogica Eye Lift feels so nourishing and luxurious. The mascara by Benefit " They're real! magnet extending lashes" is fabulous, I'm so impressed, I’m now going to buy a full size one! Grab a bargain from Next like me. Regards

“Terrible Sofa!!!!”

Bought a Michigan Highback Corner Chaise against my better judgment, Less than six months later the cushions have started to fall apart. The seat cushions continually move and you have to keep re-seating them, and to be honest it not very comfy to sit for long periods. I just wish Ikea had some stock in as they were my first choice after trying out in-store and much cheaper. I don't generally give reviews but I'm so disappointed with this purchase, I feel its only fair to warn anyone looking to buy one of these from NEXT.

“Great Delivery”

Only complaint is that some school shoes i ordered for my daughter didn't last very long. I will continue to use them as their next day delivery is so handy,

“Ceiling light problem”

I tried to purchase ceiling lights from this store only to learn that they did not have any stock of the particular type my wife and I desired. The store assistant was very helpful and gave us the unit's item number so that we could order them on line. Which I did once we had returned home. The online Next customer service ordered the three desired ceiling lights on the 11/09/2018, giving a reference number and informing us that they would be delivered to our Barnstaple store by the 25/09/2018 and the store would inform us when they had been received into their stock. Then we were told the 29/09/2018, except they did not arrive until the 3/10/2018. Then only two ceiling lights had been received by the store with a promise of the third on the 6/10/2018 then the 11/10/2018 then we were informed that the third one had been lost!! At this point we lost patience with the situation and contacted Next online to express our frustration at the nightmare that we were experiencing with the whole scenario! We had an electrician install one of the ceiling lights in our dining room. However, when it was attempted to place a light bulb into the fixture, he discovered that to screw the bulb inside the glass shade you needed little children sized fingers to fit the because the opening of the glass shade was only just slightly wider than the bulb! The glass shade shattered into a thousand pieces because it was paper thin. Surprise, surprise, there are no spare glass shades in stock. They were discontinued. At this point I lost it and demanded a refund, which the online manager agreed after hearing my tale of woe. Be advised NOT to buy Next item number 948629 Capri ceiling, even though they look lovely!
