I had the Nokia 3310 phone for 7 month until all my sim card memory was used up. I had to delete all old phonebook entry number when one got a new entry. I had a 6110 before and it used to have a phonebook memory ont the phone. I just wonder why nokia did not include this feature.

I presently own a Sony Ericsson P800, Samsung 300, Nokia 8310, and my Nokia 3310 which I've owned for over three years. They are all great phones the bottom line is it depends on what you want to use it for. I always go back to my Nokia 3310 from time to time which has given me great service in countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan.

I have had this phone since last May. It's a great phone its still the most popular phone to get. It has great things on it like a stopwatch, good games, 35 ringtones on it plus composer etc. It has the most important things on it and you can buy it for a very good price.

I've had my Nokia 3310 for two and a half years now, and have treated it pretty badly to be honest. Still it has taken everything like a phone, and I've been surprised of its high quality (having heard complaints of its POOR quality). It's hard to say much about the functions, you can call and write messages, and that's pretty much it. For me those have been well enough, and considering the reasonable price, can call this one of my best deals ever.

i've had this phone on pay as you go for over 2 1/2 years, i've had no problems with it, i've dropped it loads of times.
the buttons are a bit easy to press and keys lock has come off a few times, it's annoying but i will wear tight pants!
the battery life is pretty good, but i bought a new battery cos after a year and a half i had to charge it every other day.
spare parts like covers, batterys flashing bits and bobs are really easy to come accross because the phone is so common.

I have the phone for a year and i have no complaints about its functioning! In my country it`s a very popular phone iven if it`s kind of old!I like very much the posibility of customize the phone and in that subject it`s the best(in my opinion). It laks a few features but it has others that compensate like easy composeable ringtones, screensavers(a great thing for it`s age),corency convertor, stopwatch and many others! It`s prety heavy for it`s size but it`s worth every penny!

It's got enjoyable games and it's got composer so you can get free ringtones, but it's a rather big phone

★★★★★

written by Chinawyte. on 13/02/2003

I am 17 years old and I've had my Nokia 3310 for over 2 years now. In short - I love it! The poor little thing hasn't got much status anymore among all the new phones with their 'polyphonic ringtones' and 'media messaging' but that's kind of why I like it so much. I think mobile phones are getting to the stage where all the extra options they give you are a bit pointless, unless you're a hardcore businessman! For my needs - which are phoning, texting, alarm, calculator and reminders - it is absolutely perfect, and I think it would suit most ordinary peoples needs too. It is especially good for teenagers as it is within their budget (and has games on it!), and for older people who don't want to be blasted with confusing space-age technology from newer phones. I am looking to get a new phone now but not because mine is bad - I turn 18 soon and I would like a contract phone as opposed to pay as you go. I will be sad to give up my little Nokia 3310... we've been together for over 2 years and it has never let me down! I haven't always treated it well at times... since discovering the joys of clubbing (aged 16) I have dropped it on the floor, spilt alcohol over it and trodden on it in 6" stillettos more times than I've had cooked dinners... and it's still in perfect condition! My only real complaint is that the battery life has decreased over time - but no wonder, with all the use it gets from me! It's also a bit heavy but that is probably why it has lasted me so long. Unlike all the flimsy 'flip' phones that are around now, this one is strong and sturdy. If anyone is thinking about buying this phone - don't hesitate. It will last as long as you want it to :)

Well not had this for now since christmas as i updated for the Nokia 7210. (Read my review there under expert reviews) But i had it for over two years when it first came out and was cheap (£89) then the price shot up. (£139.99) This phone comes backed with lots of stuff, 35 Monophonic ringtones and 7 free spaces to make it your own. Send Black and white pictures messages and very good games ie snake II which i do miss as they don't do it on the 7210. Very easy menu makes it quick to access what you want and the stuff you want is where you expect to find Menu>Tones>ringing ton none of those awkward Menu>settings>sounds>ringing sounds etc which is really awkward to get too. Messaging with T9 is cool which the 3310 has. Value for money? Well this phone was a little too over priced when the price went up (£140) but now its a bargin (£60)

written by Pat Moloney. on 29/12/2002

I have had the nokia 3310 for over a year now and i still have it but don't be fooled - that is not because i like it, that is because the price of mobiles is expensive if you want a decent one. The nokia 3310 is outdated now. A lot of the features have been upgraded on most nokias since (8210 8310 7210....). If you are thinking of buying the nokia 3310 now (december 2002) stop! Save your money for a better newer phone.

sorry I realise you put this comment over a year ago now but I think your wrong. I have a Nokia 8310 now and that is not that good but it is still way better than the nokia 3310.

written by Steve. on 16/12/2002

I have owned my 3310 for about 11 months and after my pay up front contract ran out I bought a pay and go sim card. After about 3 months it started to switch itself off now and again. I have recently changed to an 02 pay and go sim card and the phone has learnt a new trick. It frequently says 'insert sim card' or 'sim card rejected'. The phone will then sometimes disconnect from the network make one of those statements and then re-connect with no help from me, or at a time it chooses and sometimes not at all. It frequently freezes up and the only way to get it going is to take out, and put back, the battery. It also sometimes forgets who is in the phone directory and will only show the numbers. VERY HELPFUL, NOT !!! It seems to occur more often when driving and going from cell to cell. It's driving me mad. Don't buy one of these phones !

written by impreza84w. on 13/12/2002

This was my second mobile phone after the alcatel db max. The first thing that really appealed to me was the design. It looks so cute, like buying a new kitten or puppy. I used to hate nokia but changed my mind, I love it. It's a brand name everyone should be buying. This phone has an extensive menu system, but they seem to managed the hierarchy pretty well, each menu has a submenu, each submenu has another sub menu so on. But the most innovative thing they did was having numbers on the top as you navigate through the menu. It comes particularly useful when I changed the language and couldn't get back, so I refered to the menu and was saved. On my 8210 review I mentioned the compatibility and accessories you can get for it, well same thing with this phone, only difference is this has no IrDA(Infrared Data Application).

★☆☆☆☆

written by Kayjey. on 26/11/2002

After somewhat over a year the phone's reception became worse. Then, the clock started running slow and the tones it produced were slow-motion too. I returned it to Nokia to ask for a free repair. They repaired it, but a good two-three weeks later it started doing it again. It will be replaced by something non-Nokia (too expensive) and I will take the 3310 to bits to replace parts of other 3310/3330 that go wrong. The shop salesman say they know it's a bad model. I discussed a new phone with him, and while I was in the shop (40 minutes) 3 people came in with a 3310 for repair. Wow, what a phone!

As a teenager in england, the Nokia 3310 is the preferred choice, it is cheap and can be compatible with many ringtones, logos and picture messages, that's the reason why many of us have one. But after having the 3310 for a couple of months I realised it isn't that great. If you was to spend about £50 or so pounds more, you would get a much better phone. Other phones make this phone look like a brick. If you had the money for this phone, I recommend you save up an extra £50 and wait a while and buy a better phone, bye ats

The Nokia 3310 is the best mobile phone I have seen. This is a common mobile which is being used by many people after Nokia 5110.
But the Battery is slightly heavier. So i have changed Lithium battery. But nice Talk time and stand by time.
Overall a nice model.
