Awful not worth 1 star Awful, i sent a parcel over a week go, tracking keeps saying its delayed with no update since last week! Customer wants a refund from me and now i'm out of pocket, trying to talk to anyone is impossible.

“So an ebay seller has been trying to send me an item...”

So an ebay seller has been trying to send me an item using their fictional Collection service. Like me, they have discovered they NEVER come and eventually you have to take it to them. Waiting weeks. Then I get a notification saying they tried to deliver - but someone was in all day and we have a Ring doorbell: saw nothing! Literally no way to contact customer service.

“GOB SMACKED !!!!”

I work for a courier myself so i do know the logistics of sending and receiving parcels. I have over 12 years in the industry and unfortunately I had to use this sham of an outfit for the first and last time. I can not call it anything to do with transport and distribution as it is an insult to the market sector. I am going to seriously look at escalating this because no one should have the anxiety and stress of using this operator. They need to be struck off once and for all. I doubt very much about claiming for loss, the only thing I lost was the will to live !!!!!

“AWFUL COURIER WHO DONT CARE AVOID USING ”

Awful company to deal with.I was told my package was with them but never got delivered. Speaking to anyone is impoossible apart from totally useless robot. Tracking doesnt get updated. Ended up losing very expensive mobile.Probably not lost according to other reveiws.AVOID USING THIS COURIER who has lost me a lot of money

“Useless company ”

These are the worst company to deal with ever. Twice I have had to deal with them because of where I’ve ordered goods from. Twice it’s not worked out how it should. The first time there was a delay because the driver failed to turn up even though they claimed they did. CCTV in my flats shows they never actually did. They meant a wasted day at home. The latest delivery is now again delayed even though it’s going to a shop that’s open 18 hours a day 7 days a week. On my tracking it now says on one page it’s going to my home and another page says it’s going to my designated place. Their customer services are a joke as they chat not is automated and you go around in circles and get nowhere. A total joke of a company run by clowns.

“VERY BAD JOKE OF A COMANY!”

Twice now in the last two weeks I've had to complain to this Company over their failure to collect parcels. The first time I had to ask John Lewis to intervene, and eventually the parcel was collected. Now I am in the position of having paid Hermes for the service and again their courier has failed to collect. I've attempted all manner of things in order to speak with Hermes, but of course they simply fob you off with an automated reply telling you nothing other than what you already know. You cannot get Hermes to address the problem they are creating. I have resolved to never use this joke of a Company again, and would dearly love to see the Company go under.

“Disgraceful service”

This company should not have any major contracts purchased many items tho various catalogues the orders get dispatched however upon tracking item it still not received 4 days after next day delivery on more then one occasion my latest purchase said out for delivery between 4pm - 6pm then updated me at 3.55pm that my parcel was no longer in transit and will be dispatched next working day avoid at all costs

“Worst customer service”

Their shop machine took my payment but didn't give me a label or receipt. Despite me sending screenshots of my bank account, they refused to help, saying that I made the error, not their 'system'. They basically took my money and said it was MY fault.

“Delivered to old address”

I hve changed my address with everyone since moving. Including Hermes. They still delivered to my old address and there was no way I could contact them to sort it outuselss

Your service is a joke you can't make delivery to a pub/hotel which is why on my address has reception which is open 24 hours . Your driver keeps saying unable to deliver and you can't talk to real person I will never use you again .

“Why Hermes Why”

I paid for next day delivery with House of Fraser to have my item delivered, trust me if I'd known that they use Hermes I wouldn't have place my order at all. I stayed home all day only to receive a message from Hermes that they attempted delivery and I wasn't home? The next day I get a message from Hermes that my item has been delivered with a image of a strange house and a strange person taking my item. I've tried to reach Hermes ever since with no result. I'm angry and sad at the same time, I really need my item. Why do you dp this to us Hermes, how do you sleep at night knowing what you're doing to individuals?

“Undelivered Parcel”

This is the third time a parcel that's being delivered via Hermes has disappeared into the black hole that's their local depot. These items were ordered from 3 different retailers over the last 4 months, I definitely won't be placing any orders with retailers that use Hermes as their delivery partner as they simply can't be trusted to actually deliver your items. I've had refunds back for the items but the sizes are out of stock so I've been unable to replace them. The worst delivery service, and you can't contact them, instead you keep getting sent round in a loop by their bot messaging system.

“This is the last time I use Hermes”

This is the last time I use Hermes. My parcel has been with my local depot for 10 days, no reasons for delay. Can't talk to a human. Made numerous contact with the robot & made phone calls, again with the robot, but they are absolutely useless & can't resolve anything. You can't complain, again only via robot. You are so unprofessional, what customer care do you provide? NONE. The parcel was delivered today. The seller has also now stopped using them due to this & other items dispatched same day having a long delay. Get your act together & provide a professional service, which you claim to do & employ humans to deal with customer enquiries & complaints.

“Awful”

This company is awful and should be avoided at all costs. Use a proper delivery company. I sent a parcel with this "delivery company" in june. The company over 3 months have told me it has be n picked up, then it has been delayed (for two months!) Then it had been delivered, then it had not been delivered and was still delayed and now it appears it has been lost. There online chat makes it impossible to get in touch with them, their phone line is automated and does not recognise what you are saying so asks you to input your delivery number in your phone keypad (this starts with a letter making it impossible to do). Their head office number is no longer in use. I finally found an email address to contact their office, a week later I was asked to fill in a form for compensation which I did, only to be told my item was not eligible for compensation or the price of my parcel back.  AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Useless and deserves zero star. Ordered a delivery through Dusk and they never delivered my order. Also suppose to have a delivery from Burton and get this message through tracking "We've got your parcel and it's on its way but a major event is slowing us down. We'll get it to you as soon as possible." Order was placed on 27/08/2021????? Had same problem with the order from Dusk that never showed up. I will do research and if they use this useless sham company, I will definitely not order from them. Never had any problem from any other courier. Now filing dispute with Paypal. Should be investigated!!!!

“Courier Collection”

I booked and paid for a parcel to be collected by Hermes Courier on 7th September. Today is 10th Sept and the parcel has not been collected. I have had no notification as to why. I have tried umpteen times to contact Hermes by e-mail, digital assistant and telephone. I have had no replies and the phone number is automated asking continuously for a Tracking Number which it didn't recognise and then cut me off. I have used Hermes on numerous occasions but this is not the first time this situation has occurred. I am very annoyed and will not be using Hermes again or recommending them to anyone else. I will now try to get a refund but I reckon that it's going to be impossible. I will now try to send the parcel with the Post Office.

“Never ever delivered a parcel to me to the correct...”

Never delivered to correct address Recently I have had 6 deliveries by Hermes. Every single one has been delivered to the wrong address the photo proving delivery are with the parcel in a porch. I have no porch and it is not my bungalow. Impossible to speak to any one. The auto chat does not solve the problem just says it’s delivered. The phone line is a automated service only and you just go round in circles as it then says phone again. I am now asking people if they do use Hermes for delivery and if they do I purchase from else where. No other parcel delivery companies have a problem delivering to me

“Parcel "Lost"”

Appalling service from Hermes, parcel scanned and I made the courier sign for on pick up. It was never scanned again and was determined lost by Hermes after 10 days. I think it was taken but they are saying it's my bad luck I'm out of pocket because I didn't take up extra insurance when I booked. Surely Hermes have corporate cover if items are lost. By the way, the parcel weighed 8.5 kilos and was festooned with red fragile tape, pretty hard to lose I'd say. Rubbish company.

“Awful company”

This company is awful do not trust them with your parcels. I booked a collection for 2 day delivery, it turned up 10 days later damaged beyond repair and even though I paid extra to insure it they don't care. They claim it's prohibited even though I tokd them what it was before paying extra for insurance. Now left over £200 out of pocket due to them. Do not be tempted by their cheap prices.

“Return not collected”

15 mins before timeslot for collection expired the tracking status changed to "We've tried to collect your parcel today but it looks like it's already been collected. Please contact your retailer if you need any help" Item had not been collected - CCTV confirmed no attempt made. Amazon said it was a very good courier and issued anorther return label. Not possible to reach any human and chatbot on website tells you nothing and offers no real help.

Hi MGG999, Oh dear, sorry - I have not the Rugby number. In fact, I have never been able to contact ANY of their depots because Hermes have removed the number from the public's view! Try using the 'webchat' on their website. They are completely useless and totally ineffective (in my experience) - - but you may be lucky. I realise I'm little comfort, but I find the only way of avoiding Hermes is never to buy from a retailer that uses them. Sorry

Could anybody advise me please I won a coat on eBay and paid promptly on the 3rd of December. The estimated time to delivery 9th to 11th December by my Hermes. Tracking just saying in transit until I messaged the seller on Saturday 12th December to notify of no delivery to be told it was delivered to me and signed for on the Saturday 5th December by seller showing me a receipt sent from my Hermes and said there is nothing they can do as it's signed and delivered. The seller said contact this one that one but don't think you get anywhere. What should I do?

Contact Hermes to ask for a copy of the signature and time it was delivered. If it is not your signature open a fraud case with Hermes, but I don't hold out much hope as they always back their couriers. Ebay will back the seller if they have proof of delivery (fake or not!!) I always ask a seller if they are using Hermes I then refuse to deal with them as they may be cheap but take no responsibility for lost or damaged items

You could do the decent thing and contact the company or keep it until someone contacts, you if no one contacts you after 3 months(I beleive )the item becomes yours. But what you must not do is open it as it is still not yours!!1

As Killerkev says assumming that there are sender details. Also, does the package have a name that you recognise from your neighbourhood, sometimes couriers think they are doing someone a favour and leave it with neighbours. Finally, have you contacted Hermes.

Do nothing! I've just had a £200 chair dumped outside my back garden gate and only found it when taking the dog out for a walk. Checked tracking and it says 'left in a secure place'. Yeah right, outside my gate (bell on gate post!) now that's really secure. Hermes are a joke, they will not deal with recipients only senders, so if I was dishonest I could have easily told the furniture company that I had not received it!

I've just had a email from a catalogue company advising me that my parcel was with Hermes. I tracked my parcel and it says my parcel has been mid sorted to the wrong depot. I needed it today as I ordered a lovely outfit for a Christmas meal at the weekend. When will my parcel come as the depot won't pick up there phones and the estimated delivery is today's date?

I used to hate Hermes until my delivery person was changed. The lady who now does the deliveries is fantastic and will go out of her way to deliver the parcel. Complain to the company you bought from - they have more sway than you or I will have and in my case when things went wrong, Uniqlo were so quick to react as were Boden. Hope your parcel does turn up.

I try to avoid Hermes if possible but have just had a parcel showing as out for delivery on the 23rd Nov they finally delivered it To-Day 4 days later, apparently the couriers just take them home and store items until they get parcels in the same area to make it more profitable for themselves

Hermes is a large courier but, while i have had many parcels delivered by them that were successful, when things went wrong they didn't want to know. you could try calling out of hours, like a 9 tonight, and you might have more luck with them answering the phone, but i am sure they say what you want to hear, and if something goes missing you will have absolutely no satisfaction from them, despite them claiming that they will try to help out. From experience, Hermes delivery seems to depend on the driver. We have one girl in our area who is excellent - but all the other drivers in our area are rubbish & parcel get "lost" - never to be seen again! I would not use this company as they are far from reliable & the fact that you cannot contact them is really annoying to say the least!! Give me DPD any day - excellent & always the same drivers! I hope your parcel arrives on time - but I am not holding my breath!

Why when tracking my parcels does it just say when my order was generated not where it is or when I should be receiving it, the same on both parcels ordered 2 weeks ago?

Hi. It should tell you where in the system it is. Just by entering your tracking number. Mind you if its been two weeks I would be very concerned. I've found the best and easiest way to get hold of the customer service ( normally a joke) is to go on their Facebook site again you will need your order number. But please bare in mind that you are dealing with a bunch of monkeys. I hope this helps

Nothing but problems, the last one they left item under gas meter item stolen report to Hermes nothing to do with us contact seller they have to put in a claim, contact seller and Ebay both say the item was tracked to your address (which it was a card was put though letterbox)So Ebay side with the seller and say nothing we can do. Contact Hermes again sorry nothing we can do, we are not responsible for items stolen item was put in a safe place(it was not!!). So I have to suffer the loss because of the total unless Hermes. I could sue but as Hermes say all their couriers are self employed and they are not responsible for them The worse company I have ever come across

Please see my review of 8.10.13 regarding Hermes' web site and contact information. Another reader (you will see if you read my review) criticised my comments. As this person failed to answer my direct question: "Do you or a friend work for Hermes?", I can only asssume that he/she does have a connection with the company. If Hermes are not happy with reviewers' comments, they should respond directly, not under a nom-de-plume.

Poor experience with MyHermes deliveries. Items delivered to wrong address. Also, more worrying, parcels left in awful places if you are not home. For example - balanced on a back wall or out in the rain for anyone to steal. Hopeless!!!

I think this is highly irresponsible. Supposing your parcel had been stolen. Who would you claim from if your parcel was stolen as you would have no proof of delivery? I hope that you reported this to Hermes and asked for the driver to be admonished for his reckless and thoughtless behaviour. I think that this is just laziness on the driver's part. As most drivers live in or near the area they live in. I have an excellent little man who delivers parcels in my area. If I am not in, he always calls back on his way home, usually around about tea time. Hope this is read by Hermes and the inconsiderate driver who should now be looking for another job.

I would contact them direct and ask. I have heard bad reviews about overseas job involving tax and items not delievered and not retrieved. Check out throughly and read(and re-read) the SMALL print. INSURANCE A MUST. Not a reliable company!!!!! Cheap does not mean good and customer service support none existant. If worth sending send with a company you can trust - MYHERMES and Interparcel are not the company! My personal opinion.

Yes. They will collect from your house or you can take it to a pickup point. The best site to go to is parcel2go they work for all the couriers and give you many options, including overseas delivery. When you pick the service you want they put you through to your choice and it doesn't cost any more than going directly to one firm.

They have a unit which can be used by the members of the public; however, their performance/abilities are very poor in whatever the department. There are many more reliable companies to deliver to USA and Canada. I had very good experience with UPS for that side of the globe. Personally, my experience with Hermes has ensured that I will avoid using it in the future. The items were not delivered, no delivery attempts were made, no adequate (or any) communication.
