With the exception of Amazon, I have yet to find prices as low for textbooks needed for my class load. The two times I have used the service I got just what I expected, and got the books in time for the first couple weeks. Granted most times ordering a textbook is not nearly as exciting as a pair of new shoes, or other slightly more fun objects. The important part is that the processing, searching and sending is handled by them and I have yet to find a hiccup to make in any more annoying. Some are priced cheap enough to compete with new ebooks as well. So go get your Underwater Basket-Weaving Theory book easy...

I really love Directtextbook. I always come here to find the best price for a book I'm looking for.( It shows the final price including shipping) I have found so many good deals I really love it. And if I can't find a book at a price I'm willing to pay I also can put in a price alert. I tell them how much I'm willing to pay and the company sends me an e-mail when teh book is available for that price. Thanks so much for helping me to save so much money.

At my first semester in my first year in college, buying/renting books was a new concept to me. I spent over $400 on books because I decided to rent most of them and buy brand new ones of the books I couldn't rent. I realized midway into the semester that it was a ripoff. Not only did I spend over $400 on books but I wouldn't be able to get as much of a return on the books I bought. So second semester I decided I would by all used books if possible. On the facebook group for my class, a student posted a link to directtextbook.com. I clicked and fell in love. I typed in the name of my book and it compared the prices of it from different sites. It allowed me to also go to the sites to review the conditions of the book. I ended up paying less than $200 for books and was very satisfied. I do think they should include more online sites within the search. Other than that it was a great tool that helped me save a lot of money. PS: Be aware of shipping estimates and arrivals of books so you get them on time.

However, the webpage sometimes says, "We found no use on these webpages...," but I still see them on those websites with cheap prices. Can't figure out the reason.

It provided everything that I needed. I had access to all of the resources I required, and it was significantly cheaper (and at times more convenient) than the print book. The only major problems are typical of all ebooks--not being able to flip between pages as easily. One problem I did encounter was struggling to print pages when I was told I would be able to print; I'm not sure if that had something to do with the computer/printer I was using being incompatible. Regardless, I needed to be able to print pages and I wasn't able to and that became frustrating. Overall, it was pretty easy to navigate, too--it didn't take much adjusting to figure everything out.

This company was really good for renting textbooks. I received the book in two or three days after paying for it, which really surprised me. The book was also very well priced for what I received. Return was also very quick and easy, and they have me plenty of notice before my book was due, and a great amount of reminder emails for it! There was pretty much nothing that I disliked about the company, everything about it made me very happy, and I will definitely rent from them again!
