I visited Sascron to view a specific car I'd seen on Autotrader. I had a p/x vehicle that they inspected and offered me £5,500 for. I had to pay a £1,000 deposit and we arranged to conclude the deal 4 days later. BIG MISTAKE! I was asked to pay the balance by bank transfer the day before collection, but as there was some work to be done I decided to wait until the pick-up so I could check it first. GOOD DECISION! On the day, they asked to take my p/x car for a test drive. The salesman came back, ashen faced, saying "this is the worst part of my job" and then spieled some total BS story about a noise they could hear at higher speeds and would now only offer £4,000. I drove the car for over 200 motorway miles that day and the only noise was the normal engine hum the car has had for the entire 5 years I've owned it. It was total BS to try and stiff me out of more cash. To cap it all off, they refused to refund my deposit, despite the fact that the receipt clearly states that the deposit is refundable. I really wish I'd read the other reviews on here before trusting this company. Legal action pending! Another more reputable dealer I visited later the same day offered £6,200 p/x for my car *after inspecting it and taking it for a test drive*.

I made an appoint to view and test drive a car at Sascron. Before I left home I called again and checked the vehicles location and I was asked to confirm my name and the time of my appointment and the vehicle I was booked to see. After driving for more than two hours I arrived to be told the car was being used by a senior member of staff and was not there. The vehicle was advertised as one owner but I was told it was being used for personal use by senior staff member. In fact the vehicle now has over a thousand more miles than the original advertisement. When I said I would review my experience on line, I was told that was "Threatening Behaviour ". Shocking.

“Avoid!”

written by VAN007 on 02/01/2017

My husband and I drove for over 2 hours yesterday to specifically see and test drive a car with Sascron that I had seen on Autotrader. When we arrived we had the most uncomfortable experience we have ever had when buying a car. I was allowed to see the car, which did in fact look beautiful and as described, but just as others have said, I wasn't allowed to have a test drive until I had sat through about 40 minutes of talk on finance, gap insurance and warranties, none of which I was interested in. The first young lad we talked to didn't have a clue about what he was selling as I had to point out to him from the booklet I was given that the aspect of the warranty we were discussing didn't even apply to cars over 6 years old (we were looking at an 8 year old car) and he clearly had no idea. Sensing he wasn't doing so well, the manager then took over trying to sell us warranties and gap insurance and seemed frustrated when I wasn't interested. When I tried to move things along and do a deal on price, I was told this wasn't possible and that I must commit to the full asking price (plus an previously unknown admin fee of £149) before I could do a test drive. I don't have a problem with them holding out for the higher amount, that's absolutely their prerogative to do so but the ridiculous thing is that I would have gone up to the full amount they were asking if I had liked driving the car but there was no way I would commit to it before I'd even driven it - who buys a car before they know they like it?? In desperation I said we were going to look at another car that day, which we were but really only out of curiosity, the car with Sascron was always the front runner, but by that point, the two salesmen had so annoyed my husband that there was no way we were going to be buying from them that day. The irony is that I really wanted that car, and I STILL want to buy it as it really did look in good condition and at a reasonable price but there is no way I would deal with such hard sale tactics. So we all lose out - I don't get the car I genuinely wanted to buy (and would have bought that day had I been allowed to drive it) and Sascron lose out on a sale. Don't buy from them unless you are prepared to take out as much finance, insurance and warranties they can persuade you to buy plus commit to buying the car before you've even sat in it. What a disappointing experience and a waste of our time.

“Audi Q7 accident repair ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Walmos on 30/03/2016

I bought a car from sascron in September and I've had nothing but problems and I've recently found out the car was previously involved in an accident. Sascron quote they offer a full check of every vehicle and don't allow independent inspections because there on site facility's are better than a standard inspections so I believe if this was right my car would off been identified as a damaged repair. I've had 3 indispendent inspection all of which have said it was obvious to them it's been involved in an accident, even Audi repair centre refused to repair the car because the previous repair was so bad. I have eventuall managed to reject the car through the finance company and I'm no being threatend from sascon with court action for telling them I'm reporting to trading standards and reporting to the media. I was told by a member of staff they was going to report me to my CO and also quoted that there boss is a very rich man and he will take this all the way. I can not believe a company of this size is going about buisness with these tactics it's discussing. All the bad reviews are very similar in regards to communication. I could keep going and going on and on but I'm letting trading standards deal with these guys now and I'll wait for a solicitors letter. I have photos

“AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Benny1001 on 23/03/2016

Dealing with Sascron was the most bizare experience whilst car shopping in my life. I have visited many car lots in my life and bought many cars. Never quite like this. I made an appt by phone and drove nearly 2 hours to see and drive a very specific car. I arrived a little late but was met promptly. The car was outside the door, prepared for my visit. A brief walk around the car with the salesman, and I asked if we could do a brief test drive. I was then told I had to go through their finance arrangements and agree a price before I could even test drive. This was not flexible even when I explained I had finance in place. Having driven so far I reluctantly agreed, and we left the car and went into the showroom. After 10 minutes of being told what a bridging loan was (like a 10yr old rather than a man in his late 30's) I had enough and enquired why we were having to do this rather than drive the car. The salesman was unshaken and proceeded with no flexibility to the request of a customer. Understandably I wanted to be with the car, in the car, driving the car, examining if I wanted to buy the car.... But no. The salesman explained that after a test drive I need to be in a position to tell him there and then if I was going to buy the car..... Why???? After explaining that i didn't want their finance, and did not want to PX my car I was finally allowed to drive the car. I then noticed that the milage was 44k. The advert was for 38k!! When questioned the salesman explained that the sales team drive the cars too. 6 thousand miles by salesmen???? I then inspect the log book and see that the previous owner MOT'd the car at 41k! Clearly more unethical behaviour. Rest assured I did NOT buy the car, and drove the long road back home safe in the knowledge I would never visit them again. The car was dodgy, the salesman was dodgy, the policy of not letting you buy the car was dodgy. Overall... Dodgy. AVOID!

“Quality Car Sales with a Smile”

★★★★★

written by Tiffo60 on 14/03/2016

Firstly I found this company to be honest and believable. The service was excellent and the salesman went out of his way to answer all of our questions without being pushy. I'll definitely be back when my car is due for renewal. As far as I am concerned there were no negatives to this transaction. Thank you very much.

“Very friendly until you buy the car!”

written by MARTIN247 on 25/02/2016

I would not recommend buying a car from Sascron as their after sales service has been non existent in my case. Their promises amount to nothing which if made with the intention of doing nothing are nothing more than deceit. Very disappointed with them.

“Why No Test Drive?”

★★★★☆

written by A.Pace on 14/06/2015

When refused a test drive I was angry. When the person I dealt with explained why I was still angry however I agreed to their test drive conditions. It was an Audi A3 my husband and I were very impressed. We agreed to buy the car and received a fair price for our Fiesta. That was three months ago and so far so good.

written by on 11/04/2015

i purchased an Audi A6 and gold warranty, paid nearly £9,000 after 4 months and not many miles the engine management warning light came on and car went into limp home mode. I took the car straight to my local garage, rang the insurers, not very user friendly.......messed my garage about will only pay £30p/h labour won't use genuine parts, need photos etc. diagnosed as a faulty EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve. When photo is emailed told it is wear and tear, contacted Sascron to ask for refund of £512 repair cost, as warranty they sold me is useless and car clearly had fault when sold. I was told to go away, not their problem, car was after all 8 years old! Didn't stop them selling it! Not even a gesture to me. I wish I had listened to the poor reviews, only 60,000 on the clock, yesterday the electronic parking brake packed up, Lord knows how much that will be to fix. Don't buy from them, slick when you buy........ slack if you need aftercare.

“AVOID THIS COMPANY”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ChrisWhiley05 on 04/02/2015

I am sorry if this is very long winded, but, I would like to bring to peoples attention the type of service you willl receive when purchasing a car from this company and should you experience a problem with the vehicle after handing over your hard earned cash. 22nd October 2014 I had collected an Audi Q5 which I had paid in excess of £20000.00 for. I was given a free 3 month warranty for purchasing the car, with an option to purchase from Sascron additional warranty cover. I declined as the vehicle was not even 3 years old and had approximately 37'000 miles on the clock, I was not expecting to experience any major problems that would justify paying an additional £500 over and above the asking price. On the 28th January 2015, whilst driving to work the car started to display warning lights on the dashboard and went into "Limp Home" mode, This was only 6 days after the 3 month warranty had expired. Upon arriving at work I alerted the sales person at Sacrons to the problem via e-mail to which I received no response. Later that afternoon I took the vehicle to Sascron Ashford Hill Facility, where I was told by the receptionist that the guy was off sick, but, she would get someone to come and speak with me. The Mechanic came out after waiting for 20 minutes. I explained what the problem was and he took the car away and put on the diagnostic machine. A further 30 minutes past and the car was bought back and it was then I was told that the fault with the car was that it needed a system upgrade, which could only be done by either an Audi Dealer or an Audi Specialist with the correct Audi software. Not convinced by the diagnosis I took the car to a local garage where I live, who placed on their diagnostic machine. The code shown on this occassion suggested that the Exhaust Recirculation Valve unit needed replacing, but, they recommended that I should get a second opinion from an authorised Audi dealer. I e-mailed Sascron later that evening advising him of my intentions and requested a written confirmation they had received my e-mail, to which I am still waiting a reply. I took the vehicle to an Audi dealer, who concurred with the second garage and that it was the Exhaust Recirculation Valve unit that needed replacing at a cost of £850.00 plus the £60.00 for placing on their diagnostic machine. This is where the level of customer service really shines through. 02nd February 2015, I spoke with the lady on the phone. I had detailed to him what the Audi service department had told me and the cost it was going to be to put the fault right. He asked me if I could leave it with him whilst he went to speak with his manager. A few moments later I received a called back from him who had advised me that he had spoken with his manager and that his manager had told him that Sascron Limited were not willing to compensate for any work that needed doing. I was told by him that his managers actual words were "YOU ROLL THE DICE, YOU TAKE THE CHANCES" Well all I can say is that if after reading the above you still want to purchase a car from this company please remember "THE BUYER BEWARE"

Sascronltd's Response to ChrisWhiley05's Review

Written on: 14/02/2015

Hi, we can appreciate your frustration in this matter. However, as you are aware, Sascron Ltd provide a three month warranty that covers engine ‎and gearbox. There is a time limit to this warranty as there is a time limit to any warranty, including manufacturers. We stress the importance of purchasing an additional warranty for your own peace of mind as cars can, and do, breakdown. It would seem you decided not to purchase an additional warranty and therefore Sascron Ltd cannot be responsible for your decision. The vehicle was pre delivery inspected prior to handover by our workshop and left our premises fit for purpose.

You have clearly stated that a three month warranty was provided and the faults occurred outside of this period. Unfortunately because you chose not to protect your vehicle with an additional warranty, Sascron Ltd cannot be held responsible.

Best Regards,
Sascron Ltd

I am glad that Audi UK had not taken your attitude towards customer service. When I had approached Audi their manager had not responded by stating "YOU ROLLED THE DICE, YOU TAKE YOUR CHANCES".

Even though the Audi manufacturers warranty had expired by one month, Audi were very accommodating and gave a goodwill gesture with no arguments.

Your staff should be ashamed with their comments to a customer who spent over £20000 with your company.

Now it's broken down again........brake system failure, waiting for a tow truck in the morning.

I'm sorry to say that it's not only the after sales service that is poor. I went in to look at BMW GTs with a budget of circa 25K and was made to feel that I should be lucky if they sold me a car... appalling service.

“Couldn't be Happier :)”

★★★★★

written by Jessjaguarxf on 13/11/2014

Wow! Where do I start...After starting our family 6 months ago we decided we were ready to upgrade our small unsuitable car to a family car. We had a look around a few garages local to us but my dad recommended Sascron to us so we had a drive out. He had previously been in and had a look at a couple of cars for us. When I arrived I met an adviser who was so friendly and professional and he showed me around a Jaguar XF. I was immediately taken by it, it was very clean and although a few years old it looked almost brand new. It had everything we wanted and I knew it was 'the one'. I was then introduced to another person who was really friendly and introduced himself as 'the finance guy' and he helped me from start to finish in term of finance. He made it all so clear for me to understand and helped giving options with guarantees and warrantees. I also had a budget per month for what we could afford to repay and he made us an offer we couldn't refuse and a gap before we start paying so we can get Christmas out the way! He then helped us do the signing and dotting the i's and crossing the ts and within two days of my first meet the car was mine! When I came to take the car away the signing was simple and easy and the car had been fully serviced and looked immaculate, I was reasured about everything and happily drove away in my beautiful car. Would recommend to anyone and I will be doing so...!

I went to look at the second hand cars for a run around and they had a great selection. We bought a Peugeot, obviously it was second hand so not perfect! Its a USED Car, The service was great, clean, no underhand dealing and straight up talk. One piece of advice is take out the warranty, it just makes sense, you can drive away and after 3 months (Their Warranty) something can go wrong, NOT Sascrons fault, its a USED Car! We had a minor Check Engine light come on soon after we bought our USED car, we took it back to Sascron and they fixed the Cam Shaft sensor which had failed (Not Sascrons Fault - Its a USED Car) by bringing in parts and they fixed it with no hassle, whilst we waited, we were kept up to date and looked after Thanks Sascron- WE were treated with respect and Courtesy. Again - take out the warranty if you are buying a USED Car - its NOT Sascrons fault if something mechanical goes wrong! Enjoy the great service. Joe & Jo

We phoned Sascron prior to viewing a car we had seen online and spoke to David L who was really helpful on the phone, when we got there David had made sure that the car was ready for us to view and all the paperwork was to hand. There was no typical 'salesmen' pressure, we were left to view the car at our own speed. The car was in really good condition. It was sold following a full inspection which Sascron do and give you paperwork which even checks for annoying rattles! David was great, he was honest and to the point and made the whole process easy. We now have a great new car and would highly recommend Sascron and David!

“MY NEW CAR!”

★★★★★

written by 480Bailey on 15/10/2014

I had been looking for a new car for some time but was let down time after time by several other garages. A friend of mine had been to Sascron recently and told me they had a car just like the one I was after, so after a quick look on Sascron's website I called up to make an appointment to view a Mercedes GL350 and spoke to a salesman. He told me that he would have the car cleaned and put in the indoor showroom as it was raining so that i could view the car in the dry which none of the other garages had offered to do. So far so good and it only got better. When i arrived i was amazed by the amount of cars they had and they seem to stock everything. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who offered me a hot drink and pointed me in the direction of the salesman. I could see the car in the showroom as promised and was left at my own leisure to have a look around. When i had finished he had all of the paperwork out for me to view which was all up to date and then it was time for a test drive. The car was everything i wanted and more plus i got a great price for my part exchange. I left a deposit and came back to collect the car 2 days later. Overall i am delighted with my new car and would recommend everyone to give Sascron a try. Thanks for all of your help!

“I wouldn't recommend this garage to my worst enemy....”

written by Hopperqi315 on 14/07/2014

I wouldn't recommend this garage to my worst enemy. Once you leave the garage with your car, customer service does not exist. One good thing for me is that I bought the car on finance so reported the issues I had to them and they paid to sort the problems out as the garage where not claiming responsibility. No gesture of goodwill either from the garage. Stay well away.

“Astra”

★★★★★

written by Glm88 on 22/06/2014

I purchased a Vauxhall Astra from Sascron Limited a couple of weeks ago and dealt with a guy. My previous car (also a Vauxhall Astra) was badly damaged in an accident and written off so I needed a car quite quickly. He was really sympathetic and showed me several cars before I decided on choosing another Astra. I have a hearing problem and the team there were absolutely fantastic, having a disability I felt quite awkward but I was treated with respect and not patronised. He arranged finance for me at a better rate than my bank, didn't feel under any pressure whatsoever. Nice approach and honest. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

“Excellent Customer Service.”

written by sevans50 on 18/06/2014

Big thunderstorm in the Reading area last Friday/Saturday – result was two plus inches of water in the front passenger foot well of my pet Skoda Yeti. I bought the Yeti from Sascron before Xmas – but as they are just down the road from me I decided it was worth asking their advice on the best way to dry out the car. Confirmed that there was no cover under the AA Gold Warranty for water ingress and subsequent damage. Despite that, the advisor asked the workshop to check out my vehicle to see if there were any obvious clues as to how the rain had got in. There was nothing obvious, but without prompting from me, the workshop supervisor proceeded to strip out various bits of trim and headlining to pin-point the reason – a detached drain pipe from the panoramic roof. Poor and unreliable design by Skoda and VAG that affects a number of their model ranges. The pipe was re-attached and hopefully all that is needed now is time to dry out the wet dog flavoured Yeti. No charge for the work – all part of the excellent service available at Sascron. Big Gold Star and many thanks to Sascron – big black mark to Skoda/VAG for poor panoramic roof design.

After visiting the excellent website I visited the Showroom and purchased a 2007 BMW 325i convertible. Great car and in excellent condition. Service was great and not pushy in the slightest. The sales person was friendly and made the transaction easy and arranged everything. On picking up the car I noticed the glove box was broken. A new part was ordered and fitted the following week without fuss. In all a good experience so far.
