I ordered a Fig Tree for my Dad's birthday and he loved it! it came on the right day and was packaged really well. The Gluttomous Gardener's web-site was really easy to use and i liked it that they show photos of what you had ordered but also how it was packaged. I would order from GG again and recommend them!

This was my second order placed with Gluttonous Gardner, and as the first order this was delivered on the actual day and in tip top condition. These orders were for special occasions (ruby wedding) and (retirement). Receivers of these tree/ bushes where very please with the present. They informed me that they would be ordering from G>Garnder themselves Please to see that there are now Kitchen plants added to the list. Keep up the good work

Really disappointed not with product, or approach to sale, but item was THREE DAYS late, and as it was a leaving gift I travelled 30 miles to give the gift due on a Wednesday (leaving on Thursday so had built in my contingency) on a Saturday. Yes, this was the shoddy service of the courier and all web based and telephone call chasing was fruitless. Certainly Gluttonous were equally annoyed so thanks for the concern - we anticpated a refund, even of postage, and haven'y yet received, so can't recommend I am afraid. Leave on a positive, the gift and packaging were excellent. I guess we were the unlucky minority in this one.

I received two vines and a wonderful bottle of wine for my birthday in April. I was so happy with my gift that I decided to send a similar gift for my son's birthday. He was as happy with it as I was. These are really different gifts that keep giving.

I placed an order recently for a silver wedding anniversary rose bush for my sister. Arrived promptly and in perfect condition on the exact day that I stated in my order. Good contact through out. Would highly recommend this company. Will definitely use again.

The gift of a Ruby Wedding Rose and Champagne arrived on time and was met with delight, espcially when the champagne was found too. The Box was edgy and attractive and very substantial. All in all, a good buy.

Although the gifts are original and well received, the delivery timing is poor and therefore I will not be using the company again, which is a shame because the product is good. Twice I've ordered gifts and specified a date for delivery and both times they were delivered after the date, one of the gifts had half the item missing.

Interesting and unusual gifts to suit every occasion. Web site easy to use and in person customer service excellent. These gifts have always been a great surprise and the recipients have loved them. After looking at many websites for a different Golden Wedding Present I came across Gluttonous Gardener. I then decided the crate with the champagne and the Rose would be something different. No problem ordering very straightforward, however I did have to contact you because of an error on my part. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful . The said goods arrived on time as promised and the recipient was delighted with the products. The said rose bush has been planted and is now 'shooting' well. I have recommended your products to friends who want an unusual present and would certainly reorder myself. Well done.

The GG website makes a number of claims about speedy and efficient delivery and items ordered before 12 being delivered the next day. This was not my experience. My items were ordered before 12 and not delivered the next day. Their customer service, when I tried to respond this, was poor. I suggest you use another provider; the GG cannot be relied upon.

I was extremely disappointed by my one and definitely, only experience of this company. I was looking for an extra special present for my parents ruby wedding anniversary. I was delighted to come across the Gluttonous Gardener site offering a range of unusual gifts for special occasions. I was conscious that it was rather expensive but as it was a such a special occasion I was prepared to pay the extra with the expectation of a beautiful gift and quality, reliable customer service. However, despite numerous reassurances that the gift would be delivered on the specified day, it wasn't. My parents waited in all day and the gift did not arrive. I contacted the company and they told me that unfortunately it had been delivered to the wrong address and that there was no hope of receiving it until the next day, although they could not even guarantee this. As it happens it was delivered the next day and they refunded the delivery cost but I do not feel that this is adequate. When I complained I was told that all the director would do is offer me a 15 % discount off my next order. I don't feel that they were concerned about or even understood the nature of my complaint. I would have expected a reasonable company to have sent my parents a small token by way of an apology as they had wasted their precious time on their special day waiting for the gift. I believe that you can get similar gifts elsewhere at a fraction of the cost, admittedly possibly not as extravagantly packaged but with reliable customer service. After being so badly let down, I now know which is more important to me. Perhaps they are fantastic to deal with if all goes according to plan. However, as I work in business I know that it's when things go wrong that you can tell how good a company really is. It is very unfortunate as both my husband and I live away from our families and send gifts on a regular basis but I will never use this company again and will not be recommending it to my network of friends.

At The Gluttonous Gardener customer satisfaction is extremeley important and we are very sorry that you were disappointed with your experience on this occasions, When we had established that City Link our couriers had not delivered on the Friday it had been scheduled for we immediately refunded your delivery charges and upgraded your delivery free of charge to a Saturday service to ensure it was delivered ASAP. On this occasion City Link had attempted to deliver to the wrong address which is extremely rare but can happen with any courier. Besides refunding delivery charges, upgrading to delivery on Saturday we also sent a handwritten letter of apology to the customers parents to apologise for the delay. We also offered the customer if the gift was returned a full refund as they had explained that they may no longer require it. We are extremely sorry that on this occasion the customer still did not feel we went far enough this time in providing compensation for the 24 hour delay of delivery.

Three points to make regarding the Gluttonous Gardener's response
1. When I spoke to the company on the Friday afternoon 'The Gluttonous Gardener' was unable to confirm that the parcel would definitely be delivered the next day. That put me a stressful position where I then had to start to think of alternative gift ideas.
2. Delivering a gift on the wrong day is NOT an upgrade, just extremely poor service. They sadly failed to understand this.
3. I had already been put in an embarrassing position when the gift failed to arrive. For the company then to suggest I take the gift back off them when it finally arrived was not a considerate or adequate solution and does not suggest to me a company in tune with their customers concerns.
I can only hope that this feedback helps the company to improve their service to other disappointed customers in the future.

I was trying to find the perfect christening gift and was trawling through the usual online shops without much luck. Enter the Glutinous Gardener. The Mulberry tree is the perfect present to celebrate a christening. It is fabulously packaged and presented and comes with Champagne for the happy parents. I would certainly purchase this item again in the future and in fact, it is the second I've purchased. You could specify exactly when you wanted the item delivered and they arrived exactly as expected via courier. This is essential really with a living present as you don't want it delivered too early....especially given my track record with plants. The only slightly negative is it is a little on the pricey side.

We are extremely sorry that your parcel was not delivered as it should have been on time, the refund on your postage plus additional to cover the time and money spent having to hand deliver the gift was also added to the refund. We are aware of this order and you will have received a long email from us yesterday.
I must say it is equally frustrating from our point of view when the courier lets us down which is not very often. When the gift has been lovingly hand packed and then sent out on time to arrive as it should do and obviously when there is then a delay we will do all we can to ensure the delivery of the gift asap. We will also make sure if compensation is due that this is credited to your account. On this occasion we are very sorry for the delay and obviously the inconvenience that this caused but are very pleased to see that the gift was well received.
