“DO NOT USE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by LennonRoss on 19/05/2018

Do not use these people. Advertise cars that you have no chance of getting. They take money from you on top of price advertised. 100% the price you see is not what you pay. Use the rental firms directly it ends up same price . No customer service director at it as well. Joke stay away you have been warned!

“CB rentals Malta (Randolph )”

★★★★★

written by on 08/04/2018

I rented a car from CB rentals through enjoy. We got met by one of their staff on arrival. He was very helpful and explained everything to us and told us to contact him anytime. He even spend time explaining to us the rules of the roads..... we couldn't wish for a friendlier person. The return was easy and simple. The car was brand new and big enough. The whole experience was great and we would definitely use them again Thank you.

“Personal Service”

★★★★★

written by Malloy372 on 26/02/2018

I have used Enjoy Car Hire a number of times and will continue to on the basis that they are have a very personal service, nothing seems to much trouble and the requests are always greeted with a "everything is possible" attitude, I wish more companies were like this.

“Couldn't have been easier”

★★★★★

written by 307Miller on 08/02/2018

Simple process from booking the car on the website to collection on arrival, no fancy wording just straight talking and exactly why I picked them from the others. We used the car for occasional trips to the coast during our 10 day stay and it served the exact purpose we intended it for at a low price compared to using taxis as we have done in the past. Dropping the car back was simple enough one we had found the right road in the airport and we were ready to leave with time to spare and no fuss. Highly recommend and will always consider them as my first port of call when I hire next (price depending of course)

“ Worst car hire service ever!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by MichaelJensen1965 on 04/02/2018

Arrived late at night in Hamburg to find that my booked 7 seater was not honoured by Europcar as the local partner of (nothing to) Enjoy. Cost us nearly £600 Euro and a lot of luck to find another one. Enjoy could not be bothered to respond or deal in any way with my subsequent complaint, so left severely out of pocket. Do noy use this company if you expect any service!

“helped solve an issue”

★★★★★

written by SantiagoRees311 on 13/11/2017

My flight was cancelled by monarch and we needed to rebook at short notice, we called the call centre and we were offered another deal changing our original with no problems at all. If all the companies I dealt with that day was as simple and easy as these then I would of been less stress, so well done Enjoy, you have my vote for my hire next time.

“Deception in booking Car Hire in Dublin 26th-31st...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by JaliyahBateman on 10/11/2017

We were a group of four going to Dundalk from Dublin Airport. We flew in from Gatwick at 2325 hours 26th and were therefore tight on time to get to the Easirent Hire Company office by closing time of 0030hrs 27th October. We were collected by a charming shuttle bus driver but things unravelled at booking in time! We had been quoted £105 by Enjoy Car Hire for a Ford Focus class car. That price included FULL COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE. I was very careful to have made sure that our quote/payment/deal would cover everything that could possibly go wrong damage-wise to our hire car. We realised that strangely we had paid a mere £26.72 deposit to Enjoy Car Hire but on arrival at their client company Easirent Dublin we had to pay not the balance of £78.28 we were expecting to pay but an extra £238. Now, we may well have been confused by the website when booking but I do not think so. We were very careful. Easirent are not at fault as they merely charged us what they needed to release the car. The arrangement we had was with Enjoy Car Hire who most definitely quoted us £105 as the full price of car hire including FULL COMPREHENSIVE cover as we know it here in the UK. This is a clear case of being mis-led and hoodwinked. I have complained and await a reply from Enjoy Car Hire. I am sure they will blank us! BEWARE of this company.

“Pick your hire Car with care”

★★★★☆

written by Carldavies on 20/10/2017

Been with enjoy car hire many times always good. But some of the suppliers of cars are better than others. I use lago rent for Algarve never had a problem exept last trip we got duff info from enjoy car hire where to meet the hire rep.In the terminal. We waited at the golf shop they were at the exit . Buy my Mercedes car was a nice clean newish one .incidentally lago rent has never tried to rip us off.

“never again”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 177Power on 28/09/2017

Just got back from the Algarve, used Enjoy car hire, never again!! We waited three quaters of an hour for someone to bring a car and when it arrived it was a disgrace, in fact i think it came from the scrap yard! Dents, scratches, dirty, stank of cigarette smoke, parcel shelf missing. Remember Enjoy car are just a broker and our car was in fact a company called PAA. I suppose you get what you pay for but i will never use Enjoy car again. The big trouble is they don't tell you which company your with until they've got your money, lesson learned.

“DO NOT USE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by lvSchofield231 on 19/09/2017

Terrible company. Do not use When I arrived at my destination there was no car. Rang the emergency number where the person on the end treated me like a complete idiot until he realised that it WAS their mistake. He assured me that any extra costs that I had to pay out for would be refunded on my return. We therefore had no choice but to take out car hire at nearly double the cost. They are now refusing to refund the difference. Their customer service is appalling, and there are a lot of negative reviews online. I can't stress enough, do not use this company.

We were very pleased with the service and helpful staff at Split Airport in July 2017. It was a easy stress free service and very friendly. The car was very new and very clean on pick up and the information given on pick up was great. I would recommend this company and use this company again.

“Worst experience with firm they booked us with LocalCars”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 03/05/2017

Booked through Enjoy car hire for Faro airport. Booking easy and price good but had the worst experience ever with the local car hire firm. Collect cars from Faro airport 3 to 4 times a year for the last 10 years and no problem except for this occasion. Do not take a booking with Local Cars, we were charged for damage we did not do, car was 5 years old and had lots of dents and scratches which had never been repaired, took us 2 months to get an invoice for damage repair, not from a garage, and 360€ for a surface scratch. Problem with booking through Enjoy car hire us you don't get to see the company you are booking with until the car hire voucher arrives.

“Tell us who the local supplier is before booking!!”

★★★☆☆

written by egLee402 on 01/02/2017

I have used Enjoy 8 times in the last 6 months and there is no doubt they are very competitively priced. There have only been 3 occasions when others were cheaper. I think they could be even better if they informed you who the local hire company is before booking as their competitors do. Essentially you are buying a lottery ticket when you do not know who the local supplier is. My hires are mostly at the same airport and I know there is massive variability in the age/quality of the cars offered and the customer service provided by the different suppliers. Some I would not want to rent from. Twice I have attempted to use online chat to find this information to avoid booking with a supplier I disliked but it seems this is beyond their capabilities. Today I was even told a name in the chat only to find on confirmation it was a different supplier. The other point that could be improved is the booking process for regular customers, why is there no account type functionality so that I can login and my details are saved and defaulted into the booking forms. A quick win would be to enable auto complete on the booking forms.

If it says airport on the information box then you will have to pick it up from car park P4. At Faro it is often quicker to take a shuttle bus which are very quick, usually less than five minutes.

Either way you generally need a credit card pre authorised and blocked off. Even if you take out the hire company insurance then they usually take a deposit for safe return of the vehicle. You can buy insurance online much cheaper than the car rental company sell it for.

If you choose a car from the search page the next page will give you all this info. You don't have to make a booking. You can just hit the back button. Enjoy give you way too many options, standard insurance, insurance with cancellation, insurance with bells on it etc etc. I think it is around £3.50 per day so can easily double your car rental cost. If you want to do it cheaper then you can buy a single trip or annual policy from an Insurance company. It is about £10 for a week or £35 for a year. Just search on Moneysupermarket, Chew insurance do a good annual policy.

If it states Airport then it is in car park P4 at the airport, just a short walk from arrivals. If it states shuttle then it is off airport and you go by bus from car park P4. None of the shuttle transfers are more than 5 minutes with the possible exception of Centauro who are a little farer away, maybe 8-1- minutes

Yes you still pay. But won't come off your credit card. Once car returned ok , any monies are cancelled. If your driving around Algarve , and parking up, supermarkets etc .try and keep away from other cars I've noticed many Portuguese just opening doors and not looking. Most stuff just common sense.

Not sure if Nobby's answer is correct. If you pay for excess insurance with enjoy at time of booking then I don't think you leave a deposit. If you pay for excess insurance locally with the hire company, the you definitely do not leave a deposit.

Usually companies block the amount, and cancel it at the end of your holiday when you return the car - check they do so. I recommend insurance4carhire to cover the xs - more comprehensive than the local (& possibly more expensive) one, especially if you do more than one hire per annum.

I think they just take your credit card details. I don't think they take it then refund at the end. However, I'd stay away from this company. I rent a lot and have used these twice for Geneva airport. I got my car via them from GVA hire and both times the car we got was very old, and VERY low spec and both times they overcharged us. It is taking ages to get the refund sorted and Enjoy have been very slow in responding to each of my emails. I think they do it in the hope you will give up!

Why not just ask Enjoy car hire and get the right answer. They have an online chat thing that actually works. I used this company to rent a car in Spain and they were great. I will use them again when I rent a car in the UK later this year. Savings were about 50% less than big name rental companies. I also had a little parking accident in Spain. The Enjoy included insurance meant that the accident cost me nothing at all. In fact I might have made a few bucks due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Hi,most of the cars are on P4 car park which is based on the Airport grounds, its about a 5 min walk from the terminal well signposted etc you do not go on the main highway at all, if the car is off site then they provide a mini bus from the P4 car park and that journey to the car is less than 5 mins, it really is very convenient just state on booking with enjoy car that you want to collect the car from the airport

The one I got in Portugal was about a year old and in great condition. Enjoy is a broker so your car is not supplied by them. I would guess that sometimes your car may be perfect and sometimes maybe not.

No, If you read the terms and conditions it states that you must have a credit card when you pick up the car. Debit cards and cash are not acceptable.

I have noticed that opening hours are advised as being 08:00-20:00 at Lisbon airport. Is it possible to pick up a vehicle outside of these hours as my flight arrives at 23:45? thanks

Yes it is. You pay an extra fee of €20 for picking up or dropping off outside of these hours.

Unfortunately I have never picked up a car from Lisbon as all my Portugal trips are to Faro. However, I suggest you ring EnjoyCar and they will answer your question.

I am planning to hire a car from Faro airport, Portugal. Could anyone let me know whether they have an office at the airport or is it just somebody waiting for us to hand us the car? Thanks

There is not an office as such. However, enjoy car arrange the car rental and as has happened to me on the numerous occasions that I have hired their cars the pick-up has always been from a office situated in carpark 4 of the airport, a short walk from the arrival hall. In fact returned only in the early hours of this morning having just been out to Faro again. Once again no problems with car hire and at least £80 cheaper than anyone else for an estate car.

This can vary, on the website it will show on-site and off site companies using visual indicators.

You should not need one for fuel as they have a fair fuel policy but you will need one for damage deposit, with the receipt returned when the car is returned with no damage

It has to be a credit card and the amount depends on the size of car. Typically, it starts at €1000 for your little hire car.

This information can be found by pressing "more information" and then scrolling down to the "Insurance Coverage" Most suppliers will require a credit card however there is a few that don't this will also be listed in this section.

As far as I know it is dependent on the total amount of the hire. If you are unsure give their customer service a ring the number which can be obtained from their website.

It will vary, but it does tell you in the Ts & Cs on the more info for each car. I don't think it varies on the price of the rental, more the class of car and seems to start at €1000

You will need to first have a quote, then press "more information" under the car you want to book and scroll down to "Insurance Coverage" here is the amount of excess.

No. I think the individual companies are contacted after you make the initial booking and then allocated based on availability.
Report this content gcf1 Written on: 24/06/2015
I do not think so. The reason I believe is that once the booking is made Enjoycarhire then find and match the most suitable and available carhire company at the required destination. I suggest you telephone the owner of Enjoycarhire, maybe he can advise you.

We currently do not show the local supplier names as they offer us some exclusive deals. The large suppliers are shown with the logo.

Hi there, I work for a travel company and am thinking of using this company for our personal holiday to Faro in July. Our flight arrives around 5pm, after reading some reviews can anyone advise if this is inside airport hours meaning no hidden charges? Also do they offer any free upgrades or discounts to the tourism trade? Thank you

Yes as far as I know it is considered in airport hours. However, ring the owner and I am sure he will answer your question personally. He is a very helpful individual.

The office hours are listed in the "more information" link under the car you are requesting, at the top of the new box the hours will show.

Not sure what you mean by extra excels insurance? I have been traveling to Faro for many years and cover my car hire excess insurance via an annual policy with Insurance4carhire.com. This costs £39.99 for a year, hence far cheaper than taking cover from hiring company. Deposit costs with Enjoy Carhire covers their admin charges only as far as I know, so it is not too much with the bulk of the hirihg charge payable to the company leasing the car in Faro. With the £/Euro exchange rate as it is at the moment I feel it is the best way to deal at this time.
Report this content V50RLH Written on: 11/05/2015
As far as I'm aware, the excel insurance is all payable at the time of booking and you shouldn't have to pay any more once you're out there. I think the deposit is 9% or thereabouts.
Report this content babsonline Written on: 11/05/2015
The deposit to Enjoy when booking is only a few pounds, a percentage of the rental cost. For excess insurance you would be better doing as gcf1 answer and purchase an insurance before flying, you can buy excess insurance for the duration of your visit, approx. £10 for a week, or if you go several times a year, buy an annual insurance. about £40. Obviously much cheaper than purchasing through the hire car company. But, you must be aware, that when you pick up your car they will swipe your credit card and if you do have an accident they will charge you and it will be up to you to claim from your excess insurer for the amount.

Hi Kellianne Can you clarify deposit please. Is this what you pat Enjoy when you book (this is minimal)or is it re in case of any claim? If the latter i do not know as I always take out annual insurance with Insurance4carhire.com which is around £40 if I remember Happy to be contacted again

I to took out CDW insurance with another provider (Insurance4carhire.com being 1 who I have used before). The documentation I received when booking car hire in Croatia stated I needed to produce a credit card prior to collecting my car. If my memory serves, they then swiped it and placed a rather large charge on it, pending safe return. As I previously stated, the return procedure was very straight forward and I was not charged anything and the credit card "swipe" paperwork was destroyed in front of me.

Excess amounts are listed in the "more information" under the car you are selecting, this is listed in the "Insurance Coverage" section. If you take the Excess Protection you are still asked to leave a deposit for the excess and any damage costs are refunded back via the Excess Protection product.
