Amazing really! I spotted this company on a comparison site, opened an acoount and when I ordered the currency commission and delivery free, it arrived the following day giving me 10 euro more than the Post Office would have and 33 euro more than LloydsTSB.

I would like to thank you for your prompt and excellent service.
You have restored my confidence and I shall certainly be using your service again in the near future.

Excellent service. True to their word, ordered at 1pm one day and the cash was delivered before noon the following day. This service is second to none and their rates are unbeatable. They are even better than taking your money out of the hole in the wall abroad and having to pay the bank fees. Everyone who travels regularly SHOULD stop worrying about their money and get it from The Currency Club. EXCELLENT *****

I discovered the Currency Club during an internet search. Their exchange rates where the best I could find.I joined the club and placed my order and the currency was delivered promptly as promised. They will be my automatic choice for future dealings. I previously used my local Post Office but alas, it has gone the way of so many other things.

I was one of the "lucky" ones who, in the past, used Crown Currency, without problems fortunately. When I was looking for a good currency deal this time I looked on-line and The Currency Club came up. I did the deal on Tuesday and, true to their word, the currency was delivered the next day. I was so pleased that I used their fantastic FAST and reliable service for a great currency deal, so much so that I have told all my friends and acquaintances about The Currency Club so they can benefit as well.
Your exchange rates and service are so much better than the Post Office or other high street Currency outlets.

★★★★★

written by on 05/01/2011

I had never used the Currency Club previously but it was recommended to it by my daughter who travels the world quite a lot. I brought up their website and entered the details of the currency I wanted which turned out to be a good rate.

I then had to join the Currency Club prior to being able to proceed with the purchase of the currency. The joining was very easy and straight forward so, after being given a member number, I was able to finalise my purchase.

It took less than 24 hours for it to arrive at my home the very next morning. Very impressive and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to all my friends who travel abroad.

Efficiency from start to finish. Easy to register and easy to use web site.
Nice personal touch was a human being phone call to confirm the transaction which was very re-assuring after things that have happened in recent times with other companies. Our money was with us inside 24 hours even though it was ordered between Christmas and New Year during difficult weather conditions in places. Best of all unbeatable exchange rate by a long way.

I recently used The Currency Club for our Swiss ski holiday currency needs (Euros and Swiss Francs). Their rates were the best I could find on the web, and their customer service excellent. I ordered on a Wednesday afternoon (14h15) and they delivered the next day. I will definitely use their service again.

I was frustrated at the poor rates offered by my bank, when I discovered the Currency Club site. The service and rate was excellent. I placed my order at 1.30pm, received a confirmation call, (from a human being), within the hour and the money was in my hand by 8am the next day. I have already recommended this site to friends and acquaintances. I will also be making more use of their services in future.

Hi there..when you place your order they do not actually get in touch afterwards....however...if you order your exchange before 12pm you will get it by the next day as long as it's a working day (not sat or sun)...At the check out you are given several choices for delivery...They are super quick and the package has to be signed for AND it's free p&p....I've dealt with them for years and in my opinion give the best possible rate at the time...Just remember to choose how you want your money..such as large small or mixed denomination.. Cheers...hope this helps..

Unsure. Only used Currency Club to exchange GBP to Euros. I have used a company called TRANSERWISE recently to send money overseas. They are far cheap to use than banks. They get good reviews and my transactions were incident free and the company kept me informed throughout the transaction.

you go into the website, select the currency you require and pay with your debit card this will be special recorded delivery to your house within 2 days or whichever day you select for delivery, this website offers an excellent safe service . i have used it several times now and would highly recommend it, its rates are also very good hoping this helps

Log on to the site and create a new account (this is very simple and the website guides you through it). You can then order your chosen currency and pay by debit card. Your currency will be delivered the following working day by Royal Mail special delivery. All very simple and secure. I have used The Currency Club many times and always had excellent service and the best rates.

I have just received £2000 in Euros, £1000 of which are in 100 Euro notes. My bank and exchange shops local to me will not change them (and why should they). Where can I exchange these large notes? I will have to carry my passport around with me on holiday to be in with a chance of changing them in Spain. My holiday is ruined before it has started.

Thanks for answering this question.

I cannot see how your holiday is ruined. Money is money. I've not had problems with 100 euro notes. Either ask your hotel to change them as the need arises, or go to the local bank in Spain with your passport and they will change them. Using them in restaurants to pay for a meal usually works too. Taxis and small shops probably don't have the change to give you. Not a big deal. Enjoy your holiday!
Report this content SomersetSteve Written on: 02/10/2014
Hi neiland jean, I don't think you will have any problem spending your 100 euro notes in Spain. Just don't try and buy small items with them. Save them for larger purchases like meals, petrol etc. If you really need to change them, take them in to a bank in Spain who will be happy to change them for smaller notes. Have a great holiday !
Report this content cokdeli Written on: 02/10/2014
Further to other answers I would also say you won't have any problems paying abroad for anything (unless very small items) it would be like paying for a coke with a £50 note so spend it on higher priced goods. If you really don't want to take them, ask the Post Office they are usually pretty good at changing the higher notes. Have a good holiday cokdeli
Report this content Krissy61 Written on: 02/10/2014
I also have had no problem with the large notes , I either used them for paying for meals , and I went to the bank and changed them up , certainly will not ruin your holiday ,as for carrying all your money around , it would be a lot safer to hire a saftey deposit box
Report this content Nuzzonick Written on: 02/10/2014
Did you specifically ask for small notes or a variety? I have never had this issue with The Currency Club I have to say, however I also agree with the answers below, you will have no problem exchanging them in Spain.
Report this content Terryglobal Written on: 02/10/2014
Good question...I had a similar problem and found that the best place to exchange or spend the larger notes was @ the "HOTEL", that I stayed in! The reason for this was that it was much easier for them to bank a 100 note than lots of smaller notes.. Just for the record I worked in banking for 25 years and NO bank had an issue with changing currency if asked? In fact using their currency shouldn't be a problem. You could even try a "foreign exchange" shop as well which shouldn't charge you for swapping notes, so please ask either way the only delay is normally queing up!
Report this content wobblesnap Written on: 02/10/2014
We tried to use them in rural France and nobody would take them. I am pretty sure that as others have said here that that more tourist friendly places in Spain will be fine
Report this content pyates Written on: 02/10/2014
Hi neilandjean, We have just returned from France and had no problems using 100 Euro notes, obviously not at the bar for a coffee but at the supermarkets, hotels and restaurants we were able to use them. In Spain just take them with your ID to the bank or Post and they will change them - no problems. So go on your holidays and enjoy yourselves.
Report this content Tissick Written on: 03/10/2014
I have never had any problems changing 100 euro notes in Spain, but as previously suggested, only use them for larger purchases. Maybe next time you should request small denomination notes or ask for them not to send you and 100s. The currency club are usually very helpful. Enjoy your holiday.

Apparently they process orders between 9 and 6 for delivery next day before 1. However, I wouldn't leave it to late for next day delivery as it is delivered by Royal Mail. I've never had any problems ordering at 3 in the afternoon

I would expect them within 48hours - our experience shows that it is best to allow the extra day as they are delivered by Royal Mail.

If you order them in the evening they will send them out when they open next day so you will get them the following day. If you order them this afternoon you will have them tomorrow morning. It's a great service and the best I've found!

They would arrive on Thursday by Royal Mail special delivery
Report this content bobthedieselman Written on: 25/02/2014
I did order mine before the 1pm deadline and they did arrive the following day via first class Royal Mail delivery. My Guess would be that, if you order before 1pm, then it will be certain to arrive the next day, but if you order in the evening, you might be lucky (depending upon where you live), but more likely to receive it on the second day after the order.
