The company's customer service is nothing less than inadequate and unhelpful Once they have your money look out because you will not be getting any refunds if you have to send anything back I would not recommend using this eshop if it was the last one on earth

Didn't see any reviews before buying from this site and am pleased that I didn't because I had some issues with the ordering process and I might have been totally put off. I couldn’t access the website from my home PC/ipad or the iphone. This was then teamed with me being unable to change my delivery address online when I finally got to a computer so I had my concerns. I ended up ordering over the phone with a very nice person who was very friendly and knocked off my P&P charge as an apology! And from there on in everything was great. Stuff arrived on time, the order was complete and nothing was damaged! My daughter is very happy because due to their prices she got a hockey bag and a glove for her pocket money instead of just one item and I'm happy because I could afford a few extra things from Santa due to their great prices. I will be using Direct Sports again for both hockey and tennis and will be recommending them to my friends too.

Was really apprehensive about buying a badminton racket from this company due to the negative reviews. However, as they stocked the racket I wanted for the cheapest online price I decided to risk buying through badmintondirect.co.uk. Item delivered on time with the bonus of having a full length cover which was not in the item description. So pleased with the purchase, I ordered another racket for my daughter which promptly arrived with free next day delivery. Items securely delivered in cardboard box. Would definitely shop with them again.

“Selling items not in stock”

Tried to buy swimming costume from them. They took my money, promised 3-5 working day delivery, then postponed this another 3-5 days. After 3 weeks I contacted them. They replied after 3 days and a further email from me. and they simply cancelled the the order. How long would I have waited until they had contacted me? When I asked them for an explanation, they blamed their supplier and gave no apology for leaving me waiting so long or not getting in touch. The only redeeming feature is that refunded my money quickly. And would you believe that the item is still shown as available on their website. I will never trade with them again.

An overall very pleasant and surprisingly good experience with an on-line company. They have obviously got it right, employ good, well trained staff, and I could not have been more impressed. I bought a pair of Adidas astro shoes, which were showing as out of stock so would take an extra 5 days for delivery. I received an email from the sales department confirming my order. They also confirmed that new stock would be arriving in 3-5 days. 3 days later received another email to say my shoes had been despatched and I received them the following morning. I am completely happy with my purchase and the price was great! Cannot understand the negative feedback I have read about this company, I would definitely use them again.

Bought a set of Mons Royale merino baselayer. Had written a wrong delivery address which caused the packet to travel first to DK and then back to the UK company. I had been in contact with DirectSports via email and given my correct address. The packet was immediately shipped to the correct address and I had it a few days later. Communication by email was fast with very quick response. My best recommendations for DirectSports. The extra transport by Royal Mail Airsure didn't cost me anything. Especially the communication with the company was outstanding.

“Do Not Buy - They won't have it in Stock !”

This company accepts orders it can't fulfil so do not order even if it says the item is in stock. I ordered hiking boots on 7th December as a Christmas present. On 7th December the payment was processed and they sent an order confirmation. They sent an email on 12th December saying boots were out of stock. Despite assurances the stock would arrive 'in a few days', the boots still had not arrived by 10th January. They then told me it would be end of Feb before they'd be in stock. I have now cancelled the order and got a refund. This company sucks in customers money with low prices offered on items it does not have in stock. They then keep the money for as long as possible. ie they are using customer money as an interest free loan !!! BEWARE.

“Don't use if you actually want to receive your goods!”

Easily the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Ordered the apparantly 'in stock' item as a Christmas present on 7th Dec. 2 days later received an email to say the item was actually out of stock but they would be getting stock 'in the next few days'. A week later I emailed to find out what was going on as this was a Christmas present. they responded to say that it wouldn't be in stock before xmas and perhaps I wanted to choose something else which they could dispatch immediately. I opted for the same item in a smaller size. They said it would be sent out the next day (so in time for Christmas). Christmas came and went so emailed again on the 30th December. They responded on January 2nd to say that actually it hadn't been sent out after all but they would get it sent out first class that day. Not received by 5th Jan so have cancelled order and got a full refund. So they blatantly lied about it being dispatched. I suspect that they actually wanted me to demand a refund as after the original order but before I selected the same item again in a different size, the price went up by about £5 so I think they just didn't want to supply it at the cheaper price. The only thing I would say is that at least you get a response from 'customer service' (normally within 2 days) even if it is just lies and excuses.

“Don't use them”

Initially told me it would take 2-3 days to deliver item. After a week with no contact I asked what the story was to be told its with dispatch,. A few days later and I have now been told its out of stock and so not in despatch. They will happily hold onto my money until more stock become available. Cancellation requests are to this point ignored. Do not shop here!

“NEVER AGAIN”

Hello In this section booked our goods September 27, the next day confirmed that retrieved the money and sent the warrant and told that divergence of identical day they promised within 10 working days to get it . A week later the time asked to give roayl Mail Order and sent non-existent warrant. We again tried to contact them but their phone was turned on an answering machine. after some time they discover that ours sends remittance that does not show where is the package, and then began a long correspondence between the sometimes answered sometimes ignored after more than one month's told that only half of the parcel sent out and the remaining money refunded but the errands that should have sent before today day and not since the days of commissioned, after almost three months. jury where the police as allows people to cheat. I have all the correspondence with them I can prove that this company is a cheaters! We in Europe such linked for a long time a closed and taped to the jail where the jury scotlonyard. Soory for mistakes because my english is very weak.

“Setting the record straight about DirectSportsEShop”

I am mystified by the negative reviews about this company that are being circulated. Before shopping with this company, I read some of these reviews and was nearly put off doing business with them altogether. All I can say is this: I did order from DirectSportsEShop and my product has just now arrived, 3 days later (an excellent delivery time considering the time of year), in fine condition. I am very satisfied with the service. The product that I ordered could not be obtained anywhere else in the UK. DirectSportsEShop are therefore, in my opinion, doing an excellent job of bringing a range of high-end sportswear to Britain - and Britain's other major sports retailers just don't compare in this regard. I ordered from Tesco around the same time and that product has yet to arrive - it is now overdue. What does that tell us? That all companies struggle to meet expectations from time to time! In short, customers need to give DirectSportsEShop a break. And just to clarify, I am not a "spammer" or in any way affiliated with this company, I am just a satisfied customer wanting to set the record straight!

“Never Again”

All I will say is that I will never use this company again and I would not recommend that anyone else does. I'm sure it's fine if there are no issues with items, but if there are, then be prepared to do battle with customer services and don't expect a positive outcome.

I'm sorry but I don't have either the will or the inclination to enter into yet more correspondence with you - I nearly lost the will to live during my protracted contact with customer services last time. I suspect that was the idea seeing as the content of the correspondence was not even quoted correctly in the replies that I received. “Uninspiring customer service”

1/10 for Customer Service. 1/10 for competence. Having made my original order on-line I wanted to add another item shortly after to the same transaction. I rang in and placed the 2nd order, but they were unable to amend the existing order and just made a new order - something I could have done myself online and saved a phone call. I then asked for amended invoice and was promised one within an hour or so. It was also confirmed that the item would be dispatched THAT day. Five hours later - no new invoice. I rang them for an explanation to which I was told by a young woman: "It's not been done. I'll be honest, I'm not going to do it, I've got more important things to do"! I was speechless, a brief amended email would have taken 3 mins. I wanted desperately to cancel the order there and then, but really needed the items. I waited for the dispatch email that day, and surprise surprise - no email, as they had lied about the items being dispatched that day and instead they were dispatched the next day. This is the treatment you get for spending more than intended with a business Just when it couldn't get worse, the 2nd item arrives and it's wrong. I then I had to fund the return up front which was inconvenient. I was told "Oh, that was just a picking error", like that was somehow acceptable! I phoned them for confirmation of a replacement, and didn't receive it or the item. Poor, very poor.

Unfortunately we do not amend orders after they have been given to the warehouse as the dispatch team divide the work and looking for a single order in all the orders we receive is a much larger job than preparing a second order.

I don't think anyone would believe DS is sorry one bit. No one would either believe DS have any intention of 'acting to correct' anything. DS's interests are not in customer service in any sense.They don't even have anyone managing their customer services. A shambles at best. This continued even after my dealings finished with DS. Royal Mail, another organisation with the competence of a peanut, lost a returns package sent to DS. In order to claim, RM asked DS to confirm the returns not received. DS didn't even bother to reply to the letter, delaying the claim considerable. Thanks DS. Avoid at all costs.
