From estimate to returning the car there was a professional friendly service. They even went out of their way to collect and deliver the car to a nearby address. The car has been repaired well and they even cleaned out all my horse mess, hay not the other kind! Would have liked my car back a bit sooner, maybe a call a little earlier on the Saturday as I could have collected it and not had to car share for the remainder of the weekend. Other thank that a really good service, thank you.

“Really pleased with service and workmanship”

Solus has made an excellent job on the repairs, our car is 13 years old and have blended the repairs brilliantly with the existing paintwork. There was a delay in obtaining the parts, but we was kept fully informed of the progress with weekly updates. The car was collected and delivered back to our home address without any issues. Thank you.

“Ford Fiesta front nearside repairs.”

Repair work carried out on our Ford Fiesta was first class, An Engineer phoned the same day as we dropped of our car to give us a report on the work to be done. A nearly new replacement car was provided and the work was completed in 3 days. The finish is superb and the car has returned far better than it went in, with no signs whatsoever that it had ever been repaired and the paint match is perfect. The staff we dealt with were polite, friendly and helpful and made the whole experience very pleasurable.They offered a collection and delivery option, but we were happy to drop the car of ourselves. This repair was carried out via our insurance policy as an authorised repairer, and although i can't fault the service at all, if you were paying for these repairs yourself they certainly would'nt be the cheapest repair quote you'd get, but as they say "you get what you pay for", and if you choose these repairers you will not be disappointed .

What a joy... From the first phone call to picking up my car it has been a thoroughly pleasant journey, excellent communication from the team and a great job done on the bodywork k with corresponding paperwork explaining in detail all work carried out. Delighted.

“No automatic courtesy car available”

Solus is the chosen repair centre through my insurance company,I live in Southampton, Solus is near Bournemouth. I stressed to the insurance company and Solus that an automatic courtesy car would be required, took the day off work, had a call from Solus on the repair day to say no automatic cars available on that day, could I change days....no I couldn't so they arranged a hire car which took all day to arrange, finally got home at gone 6pm by the time we had travelled to get the car and come home in rush hour traffic, missed my evening event I was supposed to be going to. To save this happening again we returned hire car ourselves to a place near to the Solus centre when we visited Bournemouth. On the positive side Solus made a very good job of the repair and the staff we met on the day were very courteous and helpful, the reception man even escorted us to the hire company to make sure we didn't get lost.

“Not customer centric”

It took almost two working weeks to carry out a small repair. I was not kept informed about what was happening and had to call several times to find out. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff, who wanted only to follow their internal procedures regardless of how unhelpful this might be for customers. The process for returning the car was particularly chaotic - why not collect the excess earlier in the process rather than seconds before returning the vehicle? I was on a golf course when I received a call asking for this and was almost threatened with non-return that day as I was apparently an inconvenience to the staff person's busy day. The end product does however appear good.

I was put in touch with Solus via my insurers Aviva after an accident The car was collected as promised They kept me up to date with progress of the repair of a regular basis abd the car was returned a day earlier as well It was returned to my office which was most convenient The repairs seems to be A1 and like new Very happy with the service

“Accident repair work”

First impressions very good as the office staff were very friendly and efficient .We were kept up to date with repairs and given estimated completion dates etc. Repair work first rate, vehicle returned spotless evidently it had also been cleaned and polished Should any of our friends or family require repairs to their cars we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Solus Birmingham

I was delighted with Solus who were assigned by Aviva to do repairs on my Golf. They were quick, efficient and couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a first class job done. Car was returned fully valeted as well!

“Service”

Was advised that it would take between 5- 10 working days!! Took almost 1 month. Too many departments and people to deal with. Was never contacted on the progress and it was left to me after the 8th day to follow up and every day subsequently. There was 1 person who came and took photos, another person to collect the car,at least 5 different departments doing work. Was it necessary Diagnostic check. When the person came to collect the car I told him about the knock on the passenger side. I has not been sorted but because of the length of time my vehicle has been away I will try and sort out!! Cannot understand why so many recovery items!!! Need to communicate better with customers!!PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED I RECEIVED A COMPLAINT THAT THE DRIVER WAS RECKLESS AS HE ALMOST CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WITH ONE OF MY NEIGHBOURS!!!

“Excellent all round service”

The staff from first contact have been polite, professional and exceedingly helpful in resolving any queries or matters that I needed help with. In addition the company has made the experience painless from start to finish on a matter which is normally total grief. The fact that a courtesy car was delivered at a time that suited me and to my choice of location and my car taken away for repair and then the process reversed was a major bonus for me. In summary excellent all round service.

“Great Repair, good Communication and very reliable”

I found Solus to be a good company to use, they arranged a time and place to pick up my car that suited me. They kept in touch during the repair and delivered the car back when they said they would. The repair was done to a good standard and the car was cleaned inside and out. They also made sure they brought the car back with the same amount of petrol it had when they took it. The staff I spoke to on the phone were always polite and friendly and the people who collected and brought my car back to me were really helpful, friendly and polite.

“Looks like brand-new again.”

Vehicle was collected and delivered on completion. These days even that is a bonus! Upon inspection they found they had to order special parts that took longer than was anticipated but they let us know immediately and the vehicle was ready at the end of the rescheduled week.They told us their work is guaranteed. If there are any queries to just let them know. We haven't required a repair shop for many years and the insurance company chose them. We are pleased for the return of our vehicle and don't expect to find any reason to query.

Not sure about head office procedures, but you can always try them, also complain to your insurance company & specify a time scale for reply, if Aviva chances are they will not respond, then go to the insurance ombudsman & get them to look into the issue with your insurance company & respectfully request that the poorly repaired vehicle is taken to a manufacture approved repairer to fix the problems.
