“TOTALLY UNETHICAL KEEP AWAY”

This company use a 'mask website' to lead you to think you are booking a holiday. A price is confirmed and card details taken. I made a mistake using this company to book a holiday to Ibiza. I have now ended up with no holiday and the worry that I have to trust them that they will destroy my card details. I genuinely assumed I was booking a holiday. However a provisional booking number is emailed when they take your card details. I rang several times to try and confirm the booking, I was told that nobody was available to deal with 'online' bookings. I was finally told that the holiday has increased by £60! couldn't afford this and I told them to cancel. They really don't give a damn, the most appauling customer service you could imagine. They simply offer no more than a template to request a holiday. I would like to of been told before I tried to book a holiday that their website is not live and I would be contacted to book a holiday. I have now lost the opportunity to book the holiday with a genuine company, since I have been messed around costs of gone up. This is a company that SHOULD NOT BE TRADING and I have reported them to ABTA. Book with a live holiday company such as Thomson, Thomascook etc.

“Dodgy!!”

I have booked a holiday for 16 people for 2014, John at beach collection was eager to get the holiday booked and eager to take my money, on receipt of the emailed documents I noticed a number of spelling errors and discrepancies in names and titles! Needless to say I contacted them by telephone straight away and was told they would look into it and get back to me, I am still waiting, I have also sent a number of emails and received no response! Needless to say I am becoming quite worried as I have booked this holiday on behalf of other people and having read the reviews on here and on trip advisor, I am beginning to wonder if this holiday will actually go ahead!! Can anyone advise a course of action I can take??

“Disgraceful customer services”

I had the same problem as many others on booking with this company. They rang the next day to say they wanted an extra £60 off each person . On speaking with a male on the phone who was so abrupt , his attitude stunk, to pay the final balance he informed me I owed double the price i paid for the holiday . I was on total shock , they r a rip off , do not use!!!! He tried to make out that we wouldn't get flights for the price we were paying, I stood my ground and told him he was in the wrong, he finally backed down and said he had made a mistake haha!!! Then on asking him about checking in he told me we didn't need to do it. I checked with jet 2 who informed me if we didn't check in we would be charged £17 each. Just bad information all round off this company . It needs investigating !!!!

“Rip off merchants. . .”

Please do not book a holiday with this company ! Looked at their website and choose the holiday i was wanting. Rang the number on website to confirm prices and was told i could not book on phone and had to book on their website. They agreed the price they were advertising was correct and told me the only extra's was the transfers so i booked it online ( included the transfers ) for my partner and myself. Then i received a phone call the following day from them stating the price i had booked it for was not live and i had an extra £80.00 to pay. I told them to forget it and then got a load of verbal abuse over the phone (swearing and calling me stupid ). They then told me if i was to cancel i would loose the majority of my money. I had no choice to pay. Like my title says ... RIP OFF MERCHANTS !!! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.

“Appalling service”

I have booked a holiday to Egypt in November. At the beginning I was really happy, this was very short lived. The beach collection is part of the travel bag group. I tried for over 2 weeks to contact JOHN ROBERTS from beach collection, leaving voive mails asking him to contact me. I spoke to fellow colleagues of his who always informed me he was not at his desk. I phoned travel bag who informed me I needed to speak to John to make any changes and they would e mail his manager to make sure he contacted me. Well, did he, definitely not. At this point I started emailing John and as expected I did not receive a reply. Everytime I phone asking to speak to a manager I am given excuses time after time. Everytine I call now JOHN ROBERTS always seems to answer the phone. I find this completely amazing as all the time I tried to speak to him I got no where. He was very rude to me he said it is not my fault that you have not been able to speak to me, I don't believe you have been trying to contact me for 6 weeks, I haven't had any e mails from yourself or any voice messages" I have since e mailed a complaint about the service provided and yes I am still waiting for a reply. After reading the reviews on here I am very concerned as to whether my tickets will ever arrive. I have booked for 10 people and paid just short of 7 grand. I am now really worried as it is impossible to speak to any management as John answers all my calls and refuses to put me through to anyone. Anyone booking a holiday should run a mile from this company I certainly wont be recommending them to anyone

“Something fishy about the possitive reviews”

I booked a holiday around 3 years ago with beach collection. Long story short I had to change the names on the tickets. After spending 4.5 hours (in total on hold) and phone bills in the 100's between my and my GF this was at a time where they had a 0844 number and would keep you on hold for ages. I think the record was 1hr and 10 min! I would never use this company again and will do everything in my power to ensure no one else experiences this. Its very funny that most of the positive reviews are anonymous and make reference to specific member of staff. If you were leaving a review for a travel agent, why would you name the staff member. Very odd don't you think?

I noticed that, as you have said very fishy. This company are probably the worse I have come across for luring customers in. In their email they state that they will contact you within 72 hours to discuss finalising your holiday. Most people by then (72hrs) would have probably told family, made arrangement and possibly paid for airport parking/hotels etc. This company aren't stupid, that's how they catch people out

“TOTAL RIP OFF, THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED”

I booked a holiday to Turkey on 27th August 2013. I was given a web only price and paid using my card and got a confirmation email. I noticed on the email that it said that I would get a call back from one of their representatives to customise my holiday arrangements. I immediately rang and spoke to a Customer Service Advisor called John to find out exactly what that was suppose to mean. John explained that I hadn't just booked a holiday but just made a request, his words?? I was dumbstruck and said "I have booked and paid and received a confirmation email". He said that he would check my "REQUEST" and kept me waiting on the line for a few minutes. No surprises, he said " Your request has failed" He then proceeded to offer me the same flight that I had just booked at a much higher price. I told him that I thought it was a total rip off and he advised me to watch out for other companies as at least they wouldn't debt my card whereas some other companies do. My advise to you is steer clear of this company and stick with reputable companies like Thomas Cook etc

“Terrible and ripped off”

Booked for Sol Alcudia Centre, 1 bedroom apts very very small, says for up to five people really only three sleep comfortable. Some areas very dirty and untidy. Keep away. As for price complete RIP OFF. Book with a well known company.

God there's some moaners on these websites. The holidays advertised are not live and are simply a request. Youve accepted the terms and conditions so if your daft enough not to read them more fool you. Bags are extra, prices of flights can change - Beach collection still the cheapest on market. Go and book with Thomas Cook if you want to pay £100's more or accept it's just a request. Spoke with two guys there. Legends. Great service. Thanks guys

Complete rubbish !. Rang this company to clarify any misunderstanding of prices shown. Spoke to a member of staff and was reassured of a price and was told i could not book over the phone and had to book online. Booked online using my bank card and paid the price they had stated on phone that included flight, baggage and transfers. Then they rang me and had the nerve to tell me the price i had paid was not a live price and i had an extra £80 to pay. When i argued that they had given me a full price over the phone they then denied it !!!
This company are lying and dishonest.

“Cancelled and couldn't care less”

Booked a late holiday to Greece. Received acknowledgement and was told they would call within 72 to "confirm details". Called 3 2 days later, only 4 days before we travelled to say accommodation not available. There was an alternative at an extra £300. Said this was unacceptable at this stage. I therefore faced having to disappoint family. Apparently acknowledgement is just a request. Not my understanding of the word. They were totally unsympathetic and couldn't have cared less. Zero customer service. Told them what I thought and went elsewhere.

“As expected”

I found the holiday I wanted on the website at a price that I could afford, added in the transfers, and knew (from previous experience with Teletext online bookings) that there would be "extras"!! I do have to admit though that the only extras that were added on were the baggage - which I expected. I rang them to confirm that everything had gone through ok and they said that it hadn't so I confirmed everything over the phone with them and surprise surprise it came out at the same price as the online holiday plus the transfer plus the luggage!! I had an email confirmation almost immediately along with all the vouchers for the transfers, the accomodation and the ATOL protection with a price breakdown of the holiday. The holiday went without a hitch, the transfer was there to pick us up, the hotel was expecting us and was as described on the website, the pick up for the transfer back to the airport went without a hitch and everything was on time. No complaints, friendly staff and no "hidden" extras. Would't hesitate to use them again!

“Absolute rip off”

Having spend a few weeks looking for the best holiday I could afford to Crete I came across Beach Collection. I inputted my requirements and was given a price of £348.12 for ten days which was for flight, accommodation and transfer. I assumed that as there was no mention of luggage AND that it was Easy Jet, I would have to pay separately. The confirmation of my booking came through very quickly and said that a representative would call me 72 hours later. This morning I had an email from the company asking me to contact them which I did. First question from them was "do you want to book transfer" I said I had already done so at £10.00 and that I had checked to make sure that it was done before hitting the "send" button. But they told me it had not gone through. The warning bells started to ring. Next they told me that there had been a problem with the flight and that it was more expensive than was was quoted on the website and that I had not been using a "live" system -- They could offer me the same flight but instead of charging me £348 for the entire holiday, it would be nearly £420. They suggested I went for 7 days which I was highly insulted by. I cancelled my holiday immediately and now I need to start all over again which I am now finding much harding as all the holiday prices have rocketed since I booked on Thursday and it is highly likely that I will now be unable to go. Highly disgusted..... don't touch them with a barge pole.

“DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY”

I booked a holiday with this company and within 48 hours a phone call to my husband while at work when he was told the price of our original flights had gone up by 100.00. As my husband was put under pressure to agree to change the flights to evening flights so the case was we would loose 1 full days holiday. When I rang the company after my husband rang me at lunch time I was told that there was no way I could challange or change this as my husband had agreed to this, I was also told that my flight provider had been changed from easy jet to ryan air. On my booking request from it clearly states that the flight I had booked was with an easy jet flight which was an early morning flight. When I looked up the flights with easy jet on internet myself those flights where still available. I then called back the company who's very unhelpful and extremely rude travel consultant to explain this I was told in no uncertain terms that there was nothing I could do about it and would not be able to cancel the holiday. VERY RUDE STAFF AGAIN DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. This is the very first time I have ever found myself so angry that I feel I have to write a review. Like alot of other people we both work hard all year to have a holiday and feel that this years has been ruined.

I had similar experience this morning. Was told that the flight prices had gone up... well excuse me that is not OUR fault as passengers is it!!! I cancelled my holiday immediately

“BE WARNED - DON'T BELIEVE THE PRICE YOU ARE QUOTED ONLINE!”

After many hours looking on the internet, we finally found an all-incl deal with Beach collection in Egypt. We have used them in the past and always found them to be very competitive and friendly. During my initial booking, I decided to call the office as I wanted more information that the room descriptions would give me. I felt I was basically getting a 'hard sell' and the lady just wouldn't answer my simple question and said she'd book it. When I enquired if the internet booking discount would still apply, she told me that wouldn't be the price I would be paying anyway?! I was about to go out so she said she'd call me back later. After booking online anyway and being happy with the price of approx £2800 my internet crashed during my credit card payment leaving me no choice but to call them to check if it had gone through. Who should answer the phone but the same lady!! She was able to tell me that my booking had been successful and although I was disappointed to hear that wasn't the actual price as baggage allowance hadn't been paid, I was horrified to be told that the Company had no updated their online price since Wednesday and that the price would now been an extra £200 baggage!!! I could have cried. We'd excitedly told our children we were going and in all honesty I wasn't convinced that this wasn't merely the agent's commission? I was so upset and said I'd have to cancel to which she said she'd talk to her manager (I've heard this one before!) and she came back with the offer of knocking £20 off. When I explained we had now gone over budget, she became very irritated and said she was bending over backwards for me!!? I decided to proceed with cancelling the booking but after much discussion (and raised voices!) we felt we had no choice but to call back and continue with the booking as our daughters were so upset over it all. Online I saw that transfers were free (offered by the hotel) but I was still offered the choice of booking a transfer for an additional £16. So all in all the price that we were told online then went up another £372.92 and has put a real dampener on it all for us. I won't use them again and certainly won't recommend them now. If you do decided to book then make a mental note that the price they quote isn't necessarily the price you will pay!

“Keep Away !!!!”

Booked holiday on Sunday to Cyprus on line and paid £500.00 deposit, Received call from this company today30/04/2013 at 6pm to say flight price had gone up by £100.00 so paid the extra. My daughter went on line at 615pm and the same holiday , same flight same hotel was £245 cheaper than I had just paid HOW CAN THIS BE Keep away from this company

booked a holiday online last night and got a call from [name removed] to say the price had gone,i said just cancel.it please and i will look elswhere,i asked how long to get money back and he said 2 days,i the got worried in case i didnt get full deposit so rang back left msg for [name removed] to rong me,he didnt so i rang back and he was so nasty and rude,he called me aliar and i asked if the calls are recorded and wanted to speak to manager,he said no they are not and manager wojld waste his time on me,so because calls are not recorded,customers are not allways going to get a good service,i wouldnt book with them now.
