“Appalling Customer Service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Andy899 on 01/04/2019

I ordered a simple product and unfortunately the item delivered was not the one ordered. You might think as I did that these things happen and this would be easily rectified – not so with Furniture Clinic. I have sent three emails over the past 9 days but for some reason they have decided not to respond and correct their error. I have checked my spam box for missed mails and my last email advised that I would not chase them any longer to correct their error over such a low value item, but would instead warn others about ordering from them – they are yet to respond. In summary – Shop somewhere else & do not order from this company. They do not communicate and their customer service is non-existent.

“Don't buy TERRY CLOTHS 1KG”

★★★☆☆

written by Adriel176 on 07/09/2017

Terry face cloths 1 KG purchased from Furniture Clinic website to get free delivery - You will get around 12 halves of used hotel machinewashed white hand towels which are harder than a simple local supermarket face cloth. Waste of money. "Throwaway cloths" according to their advisor.

“2 Weeks and nothing”

★☆☆☆☆

written by FredUK on 01/07/2017

I placed an order and was informed it was all in stock and would be with me by the weekend. Monday nothing so I Emailed (They did not have the decency to contact me) the response was Thank you for your recent enquiry. I have looked into this for you and it seems that the flexifil is currently in the process of being manufactured and it is not yet ready for dispatch. Please look out for a further email from us confirming that the order has been dispatched.   Apologies for any inconvenience caused.     Kind Regards, Ok so I waited a little miffed that it was all in stock when I rang but still. A week went by and still nothing so we rang. This time it was the Jars for the flexi fill that had not turned up. Complete incompetence how can you sell and charge the card instantly for a product you know you do not have available. Complete sham of a company

“Seriously Disappointed”

★★★☆☆

written by on 29/03/2016

We had our sofa treated, cushions refilled and leather repair carried out. The finished colour was uneven, varied and was no match to the original colour. The overall effect was a very shabby, worn appearance, the darker patches on the arms gave a grubby appearance. Within a fortnight the finish on the cushions was peeling. The sofa was collected, taken to be redone and came back much much better. Colour still uneven and not original colour, but less disappointing. Within two weeks peeling again on a small area on the cushion, now also on the arm. We have not informed Furniture Clinic that this has happened, couldn't bear to go through it all again. Will put it down to experience. As I can see from reviews there are a lot of very satisfied customers, but we very much regret ever having the work done with Furniture Clinic

“Poor customer service with lack of a refund”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 24/02/2016

I placed an order for a colorant kit, and it took more than 3 weeks to arrive. My attempts to telephone this company were not successful, with their phone being out of service. I did get a reply to one e-mail I sent, inquiring about my order. They stated it would be sent out ASAP. The product arrived too late for my leather renewal project, as my window of opportunity had passed. I refused acceptance of the package when it finally did arrive at my home, returning it to sender unopened. This company has refused to issue me a refund of any kind. I am now out $140 plus dollars! I would not recommend doing any business with this company!

“Too good to be true?”

Saw the video and although sceptical I purchased the kit. To my surprise it does exactly what they say!! My only negative is that the cleaning sponge could be bigger. Have got our light green sofa's back.

“AWFUL SERVICE - DO NOT USE ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Reidnx220 on 28/05/2015

I sent my bag to be cleaned 9 months ago and within that time I have had to send my bag back 4 times to be fixed. They put a plastic coating all over my Mulberry Bayswater and have totally ruined it. It looks fake. Not only that I have been chasing and chasing for over a month now to see what is happening with it, and what they are going to do to fix it. They have no replied to calls and I have had to email both branches to see how I can get some help on the matter... still no reply. I have then had to contact trading standards to see what I need to do t get this fixed. They are an appalling company with no customer service, and the service they provide is AWFUL! DO NOT USE THEM his farce has been going on for 9 months!!!!

“Buyer beware - NO REFUNDS - Products not labeled”

★☆☆☆☆

written by JamieBKH on 11/05/2015

The product arrived with NO Label, NO instructions in the box, just the packing receipt. When you call customer service you will have a wait. I do not recommend Furniture Clinic. Product did not work and was not as described. I called customer service about the product not being as described - the website said it is a thick paste. It is not a thick paste at all! Customer service said NO REFUNDS. So buyer beware.

“Avoid like the plague- worst experience ever”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Wyattda295 on 16/11/2014

Sent my Mulberry handbag for cleaning after a long discussion on the telephone about the water damage and was assured they could sort it out. To cut a long long story short they sent it back eventually in the same condition they had received it after charging me £74.88. I'd had to chase them and they found my bag in the corner where it had been overlooked and they'd missed returning it. Several phone calls later I sent it back again as I was promised it would be sorted out. I had a phone call to say it would cost me more money and it turns out when I asked for the manager and then the managing director the company is run by two brothers. My bag has eventually arrived back (delayed again) and is slightly better at no extra charge except my costs for the postage and insurance of course. All in all the whole experience has been extremely traumatic. I would NEVER EVER use this company again and I would advise caution. The whole experience was totally unprofessional.

“BAD Customer Service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by urbancricket on 14/11/2014

I called to ask how the leather balm works -- the product is described as restoring leather color and I wanted to know what would happen if I put brown balm and a very faded oxblood sofa. I was told that it would make the faded spots brown and not have in impact on the reddish areas. To understand why this is so, I asked how the product works -- why does it change the color of one area, but not the other area? Instead of helping me understand how the product works, I was told that they prefer I not buy the product if I wasn't going to use it properly. I certainly wanted to buy the right product for the job! but it's reasonable to ask how a product works! The man on the phone said he's the owner and was just shy of yelling at me for asking the question. HORRIBLE experience, and I'm going to shop elsewhere.

“Did Not Live up to Claims! Furniture clean& renovation kit”

★★★☆☆

written by KennethNeville245 on 01/10/2014

Certainly did not clean as was shown on video. Spoke to the man at the company to complain and was told it was head grease so needed another product. Bought the product on top of all the money I had spent on their kit already for it not to even touch the dirt. Company said to send photos and I never heard from them. Chased them a week later and was told I cleaned it too much and now had water stains. Followed instructions to the letter! Then told to clean the inside as the grease could have permeated the inside. It hadn't so I gave up and still have dirty cushions. The colouring balm needed seven applications on the faded parts and not one as claimed. That said on the cleaner, unfaded parts of the settee the balm worked well as did the finishing cream and it looks nourished and it looks good. For a quick spruce up and nourishing with no stains and little dirt fine but anything else don't touch it!

“Hand Bag Clinic”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 11/08/2014

Just incompetent customer care, if things go wrong they just ignore the problem, various undated and generally rude letters etc. Took more than 5 moths to sort out the unwanted and unasked for spraying of my Hermes Kelly bag, after court action and many emails and letters I finally got compensated!

“Absolute waste. ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Vegassc on 27/07/2014

Ordered re-coloring balm and leather aroma. Was shipped 12 days after I ordered. Coloring balm won't work on faded spots, and leather aroma spray gets really sticky as a glue. A $50.00 worth of trash.

“poor customer service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Bentonfm231 on 01/07/2014

ordered the leather recoloring kit with the beige balm after picking the color using their color chart and carefully selecting color.the balm was much much lighter in color than my leather sofa.the color chart showed darker than my sofa.i didn't even try the product because according to their return policy ,if you use it,no refund.return policy states that if problem is their fault they will issue refund for shipping casts also.spoke to rep at leather clinic.they said no refund on shipping.i sent 2 e-mails which were not answered.so basically i will waste $20.00 in shipping to return a $43.00 product that i could not use.if they would have been more helpful,i probably would have chose another one of their products to recolor my sofa.my credit card company is issuing me a credit for the amount and they will deal with these people.buyer beware.a better color chart and more info would have been helpful.

“Cleaner and Conditioner”

★★★★★

written by on 04/06/2014

Well what can I say but fantastic results from these products. I have a cream leather suite and it was getting grubby despite using supermarket leather suit cleaning cloths weekly. So today I thought I would use the Furniture Clinic products and it was amazing the amount of dirt it removed from the leather grain. So easy to use as well. I am so pleased with both products in that it made the suit look like new again. The video clearly showed how to use the products and I found this very informative and helpful. The service from Furniture Clnic was also excellent as I received their products within 2 days of ordering. Highly recommend.

“leather repair kit”

★★★★★

written by USVI on 06/05/2014

Excellent service from the advisor who responded very quickly to my panic when I was horrified to find I had taken the colour out of my lovely leather foot stool but delighted with the advice and repair kit. You cannot tell there ever was a mark ...leather now looks like rest of suite. Cannot thank you enough for your quick response, advice and support. I liked the fact that you could ring at any time and they would have gone through the repair procedure with me if it was needed. Great great service. Eleanor and Clive in Maidstone

“Better than you'd think!”

★★★★★

written by Topvaux on 03/05/2014

First off, we were looking for a fabric dye to treat our kitchen dining chairs, two of which were looking a bit shoddy alongside the other eight which are hardly sat on and we had tried all sorts of cleaning products to no avail. So, we came upon Furniture Clinic's fabric "paint", but my wife insisted she wanted to dye the fabric, not paint it! I agreed but carried on browsing around their website anyway and was eventually persuaded that this "paint" was actually (maybe?) what we were looking for! I have to say that the website is confusing in calling apparently the same product sometimes "Fabricoat" and sometimes "Fabricolour". Also, the colour charts are confusing until you click on the colours from within the Fabricoat/Fabricolour section. Somewhat apprehensively I ordered some of this "paint" and hoped for the best, although we agreed that if nothing else worked we would recover the chairs' seat pads anyway so there was nothing to lose - especially at this price. Typically, I tried the product and then read the instructions whilst waiting for it to dry! I figured that the most even application would be achieved by spray, so I rinsed out one of those bottle sprays that you get cleaning stuff in and poured the neat "paint" into it. It may have been good enough for Dettol but it was brilliant with this paint! I had both done in minutes and had used less than half the product, the rest of which I set aside for the second coat. When it had dried, though, it didn't need a second coat: the finish was perfect - nice and even all over, although maybe a little stiff and scratchy in feel, but as my wife reminded me" it is "paint"! A month or so later I took a close look at them and they are even more perfect than before! The fabric has lost its stiffness and harsh feel and the closest scrutiny shows a well dyed fabric! They can persist in calling it "paint" which is still a turn-off to me, although doubtless perfectly correct to Mr Anorak, but I don't care: it is exactly the kind of "dye" I was looking for! The instructions I have read since and they suggest diluting it 50:50 with water and sponging or brushing it on. We like the product, Fabricoat or Fabricolour?, so much that I've just ordered four more colours to do the rest of the chairs in matching pairs - and I'll be using my Dettol sprayer bottle with undiluted "dye" too!

To restore old leather flying jackets, I found in Furniture Clinic a very good service and an excellent marriage of products, marketing and presentation; evidence of integrity and superior intellects at work. Thoroughly professional. Well done.
