I think the Siemens S35i is a very good phone. It is very easy to use. It is easy to add to the phone book. It feels nice to hold. It has a lot of extras. The t9 texting is a brillant invention.

It is worth the money. Good to have it after my previous Ericsson 688.

I had a Motorola cd 930 but there was a problem with the battery and I could no longer live with it, so I was looking for a replacement. I went to a few shops and told them what I needed. I wanted to spent around 120 pounds and they suggested the Nokia 3310 and the Siemens C35 and M35. But while I was listening to the shopkeeper I saw the Siemens and I said "That's what I want if had the money for it" but I hadn't. He told me that this Siemens was an excellent little machine, but I couldn't afford it. So after reading a few reviews I decided to go for the Nokia 3310 OR the Siemens M35I, BUT THEN my uncle sold his SIEMENS S35i and bought a SIEMENS SL45. And of course...
I'm very happy with my SIEMENS, it's an excellent little machine and has a good professional approach to mobiles, not such an TOY approach like NOKIA. I think that I would regret it if I had gone for the Nokia; it's contains more useless sh*t than really usefull features (screensavers??? chat??? what are these doing on a mobile?). And it's still very heavy (133gr), compared to today's standards. (My 3-year old Motorola weighs "only" 145gr).
This little phone contains all advantages of Nokia 6210, 7110, 8210 in 1 little, excellent phone.
I conclude: SIEMENS makes excellent phones, even the cheaper C35 and M35 and if your thinking of buying a Nokia 6210, 7110 or 8210, think twice and go for a SIEMENS S35i! You won't regret it.

Early days for me, but the phone by and large seems excellent. A possible fault with recording function, still being worked through with the manufacturer, but otherwise couldn't be more pleased. Would really love a decent instruction / features profile though.

As I've said not more can be said the features included are the best you can find vis a vis the price.

This is one of the most outstanding phones that I've seen for a long time. It is indeed smaller than most phones that boast as many features being surpassed in this respect only by the Sony CMD-Z5. The battery life is quite long, and it is very easy to use. The only thing that I have againdt it is the slightly poor signal reception. However it remains the best value for money in the market at the moment.

Having drooled over this phone on a recent trip to Berlin, I had to have it on return to England. After a 3 week wait to receive it due to limited supplies in the UK, I am delighted by this phone and impressed by both the hardware and software advances evidently being made by Siemens.
I echo fully the positive comments (although there are actually loads of Siemens accessories available and there is actually the possibility to picture message) made here on this page but would add the following negative comments:
To my mind the most important function of any phone is it's network reception level. The Siemens S35i records a low rating of -80dB on my uk network which is around 20 per cent lower than standard aerial mobiles. This has caused me occasional call loss problems.
The screen is generally brilliant if you can handle reading smaller text, however the contrast is poor and it is impossible to obtain a suitably sharp and dark bitmap. Further the raised glass screen means it will get scratched unless you want to ruin its good looks with a case!

simply perfect, all the features you could ever want, including voice dialling, which works very well.
go check the siemens website for all the features and specs.
i paid £200 for my phone and am delighted with the performance, the call quality and signal are always superb, unlike the nokia i owned, every feature works great, the interface is simple to understand.
sheer quality,A MUST BUY.

Compared to some of the other new phones the siemens may seem slightly larger but it is still only about 118x42x20mm and when you look at what you get it turns out it is better equiped than the others and costs less. It has no horrible aerial like the t28, and has a modem unlike the expensive 8210.
text messaging is as quick as the nokia, and quicker than the ericsson. it has 20 voice dials, and a 20 second voice memo, 4 games, modem, calender, stopwatch, calculator, currency converter, picture messaging, tiny battery (hidden by a cover), long battery life, appointment organiser. the phone can also be set up for up to 4 peoples preferences (i.e loudness, animations, text size etc). vip phonebook as well as normal. loads more features that I have forgotten to mention - this phone has them all. The signal strength is superb as is the sound quality. Overall this is the best phone I have owned (also owned nokias and ericssons) and I would recommend it to everyone - quite a few of my mates now want one after having a play around with mine.

The phone is truely a reflection of german technology of function and simplicity. It still looks very nice and cute but it would stand out in a crowd. Just the right phone for those who look for a fully-functional phone. WAP is of course included and working fine with any sites I tested.

Great piece of hardware! Everything that you can imagine is inside of it: infrared, classic modem (responds perfectly to all AT commands), vibra call, agenda, voice dialing, recording for 20 sec, calendar, appointments, calculator, currency converter, games (4), chronometer etc.
The browser is very good, no bugs, you can get rid of all info lines just to dedicate all the screen to internet. You do not need aditional software to activate the modem via infrared or to send faxes. I bought a cable and I found free software for connection, uploading tones and bitmaps very easy, backup the phonebook, composed SMS through the PC. Seems to be well built and reliable. I'm very happy with it and browsing the internet using your cell is great!

How is your battery now ? I know too many people with C35s who have problems with the battery after about 6 months
