I am now studying for my sixth diploma with Stonebridge. The course materials are made instantly availble after payment so you can crack on immediately if you wish.
Marked assignments nearly always come back to me within 48 hours and sometimes quicker. Tutors offer developmental feedback and are easily contactable through email.
I would recommend them and even though i have looked at other distance learning sites, i always choose Stonebridge. I would definitely buy again.

written by karen edwards on 20/04/2010

I left school 15 years ago and I hadn't entered into any formal training since. I have three young children and I wanted to go out to work but wanted to be there for the children after school and in half terms. I contacted Stonebrdge - best desciion I have made for a long time.

I wanted to become a Teachig Assistant. I was slightly apprehensive at first and worried that signing up to a course, Stonebridge answered all my queries and when speaking to a customer representative. - so I went for it!!! . I submitted my coursework when I could and the I had confirmation almost immediately to confirm receipt. Then my marks would be returned within 3 working days! What a buzz I got everytime I had a marking returned. It gave me the boost to keep going. It couldn't of been more convenient and rewarding. Ten months later and some dedication I have finished my course and passed each stage ( awiting my final grading) But it has enabled me to achieve, it has increased my confirdence, and best of all the qualification has enabled me to find a job in my local Primary chool doing the hours that suit me and my family.
Thank you Stonebridge. I would recommend this college to anyone. Stonebridge and the tutor you are assigned are with you every step of the way.

★★★★★

written by on 19/04/2010

I found the Stonebridge materials clear and concise and of appropriate length. With relevant questions and case studies the assignments reinforced my learning. I liked the fact that I could work to my own schedule and was always amazed at how quickly my assignments were marked and returned to me. I once received my comments and feedback on the same day that I submitted it! Although I didn't need it I knew that I could contact my tutor if I needed any guidance. Having undertaken several correspondence courses I would most definitely recommend Stonebridge and I have found no weaknesses nor can suggest any improvements that can be made to the course materials, administrative processes or assignment process.

★★★★★

written by Paula Willson on 09/04/2010

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is the second course that I have undertaken with Stonebridge Associated Colleges. Icouldn't have chosen to study with a more effient and proffessional institution!

Once your payment for your course has been made, Stonebridge is very prompt in welcoming one and providing one with your login details, and information on how to access the Student Zone. Your course is made available to you within a matter of a few hours.

Your Student site is presented in a very professional and user-friendly manner. Stonebridge provides students with very important information on how to study (great if you've been out of "school" for a long time), how to complete your assignments and has a great resource library. Guidelines are provided for the student on the number of hours it will take to complete a certain course - but as long as your account is active - you have as long as you want to complete your course. I do recommend that you do your course in the allocated time - otherwise you just procrastinate!

Your personal tutor is an amazing asset to you. Any questions you may have - they are always willing to help you out. They respond to all queries very quickly. Once you complete an assignment and submit it, your feedback sheet is always filled with useful hints, tips and comments. Both of my tutors have been extremely efficient and timeous in sending back my marked assignments. They made my learning experience a pleasure.

Your coursework is provided in a format that is easy to read and understand. Don't be fooled when you open up an assignment and it's "only 8 pages", and think it's too small a document! The information contained in those pages will blow your mind and will have you reading, reading and re-reading it to fully digest. The information provided is so precise - no repeating and is clearly set out.

When studying with Stonebridge you are not limited to the course you initially decide on. Associated courses are also provided so your course base is expanded and one may find that you can branch out into so many different areas - areas you might have never considered. In my case, studying NLP has taken me on a journey towards counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Logotherapy.

Studying with Stonebridge has been an awesome experience and I look forward to my further studies with such a fantastic institution. I hope you find you have a similar experience.

The tutors are always on hand to help you when you need them. Whenever I have submitted an assignment for marking it has always come back the same day (submitted in the morning). I found the course to be very well laid out in design and very easy to understand. Compared to another couple of home studycourses I've done n the past, Stonebridge is by far the best, not just for support but for value for money as well. I've tried the rest, now I'm with the best. Overall 11 out of 10.

“I have been a counsellor over the last 10 years to: ”

★★★★★

written by Joy Hewitt on 28/03/2010

I have been a counsellor over the last 10 years to:
Students and Staff in a Further Education College;
Children placed into Care homes by Social Services who have been victims of abuse and/or perpetrators of abuse;
an Associate counsellor with EAP organisations:
a Stress Management facilitator.
I have integrated person-centred and psychodynamic approaches into my practice and studying with Stonebridge Associated Colleges has enabled me to incorporate CBT into my counseling approach. I have thoroughly enjoyed the 24 modules which provide a firm foundation for CBT which as a student you can decide and take responsibility to further research. The marking gave me valued feedback in a very timely manner and allowed me to feel fully supported by the Stonebridge team especially my Tutor Susan Richardson and the internal Moderator Vanessa. I have spread the news about Stonebridge to my counslling colleagues and will continue to do so. Once again many thanks. written by patricia ware on 28/03/2010

It took a short time for me to find stonebridge college and the courses I wanted to study because Im not use to working with computers but with the college help I am better than I was. The couse site I have found both easy to navigate and to send in my assignments. There is no preasure to send in , in specific time scale, this is a big help to me due to the time I have for study. I am still studying two courses with them and intend to do some more when present ones are finished. I have studied with other colleges but have found them not as easy to navigate, I like Stonebridge and hope to continue with them long into the future. The courses I have done so far are Anatomy and physiology2,Advanced. Educational phsycology Cert, both of which have helped with interveiws for better career positions, the courses Im studying now are Every Child Matters and General Principles of teaching, both of which I hope to use to progress in my current career or use towards a new career. Overall thanks to Stonebridge I am now enjoying studying more than when I was at school and I dont want to stop. Thank You Stonebridge for giving me a new outlook to life.

★★★★★

written by Josie Shepherd on 23/03/2010

I have now done two courses, Kinesiology and Remedial Massage, and thoroughly enjoyed doing them. I was able to study at my own pace and only move on when I felt ready, or, had the time. As I was learning I was able to put into practice what I was learning with my clients who were impressed and were able to benefit right away. This also gave me a lot more confidence in myself and in the treatment of my clients.
The support from the college tutors was excelent so that I never felt isolated during my studies.
I do a lot of voluntry work for the local carers centre where staff and carers all benefit.
It is true you never stop learning, although I am 67 I have evry intention of doing more courses in the very near future.

written by MalcaB on 21/03/2010

A few months ago I have stumbled upon the premier program offered by the Stonebridge Associated Colleges.
This program offers you 6 courses (of choice) and this for a reasonable price.

I have already successfully finished 4 out of 6 courses, and I am very happy I decided to take them!

For someone like me, who has a family to take care of and a job, Stonebridge has given me the chance to combine both.

I have already advised my kids and family members to take these courses, and I advise this to all of you who wish to keep studying but who, for any reason, aren't able to!

The courses are of high level, so don't expect them to be easy... but neither is going to university/college. Completing these courses will give you satisfaction and a proud feeling in what you have accomplished!

The course material was extremely thorough and challenging and the support I received was excellent. written by issybon on 11/03/2010

I have recommended Miss Stephanie O'Brien who is now doing the Foot Health Practitioners course with you at the moment, I left Spain last year and started working in the Cardonald Therapy Centre in Glasgow and now have about 300 clients in my books, that is including 2 nursing homes as well as domicile clients. I enjoyed the course but looking back I would have liked to have worked on more clients whilst on the course, but I have taken everything on board that Bernard taught and have used it to build a very sucessful business here in Glasgow. The reason why Stephanie is doing the course is that I am now returning to Spain to work part-time and leaving the business here for Stephanie who will be very popular with my clients.

★★★★★

written by vicwe on 11/03/2010

Stonebridge College, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Level 5. My experience with Stonebridge College has been excellent. I have received great support and the lessons are clear and easily followed. The course has great depth and the recommended reading list has been comprehensive. Because my course has been teaching me Therapy the amount of case studies have been perfect,it gives a brilliant opportunity to think about what you are learning and explaining in your lesson. I have found no negatives, my personal tutor always grades my assignments within 3 days which means I can continue with the course with little break. I get great feedback from the tutor and this helps to motivate me in my next assignment. I would thoroughly recommend this college.

I am not aware of a pass rate being published by the college for any courses. However, as with all things, as long as you put the work in and take good notice of your tutor's comments, I can see no reason for you not passing.Make sure that the course you want to take is the right one for you and that if it is, attack it with a positive attitude and remember that your tutor wants you to pass so liaise closely with him/her. There is no rush to complete the course so take your time and take a break if it is starting to overwhelm you. Hope this helps.

its all about putting the effort into the course work its not hard and you will pass
Report this content oblivion Written on: 04/02/2015
I presume pass mark will be 70% - So, 70% - 79% will get a "Pass" - 80% - 89% will be a "Merit" - and - 90% - 99% will be a "Distinction" - Frankly, this is only my personal opinion on this issue but it's certain your overall performance will be taken into consideration.

Thanks everyone. I was just wondering as if people don't often pass the course I wouldn't bother and would go with a different company. I'm very dedicated to any work I do, so I'm sure I'll fly through this course.

For more, you can check all levels on their website. As for medical cosmetology, it would be better if you asked the support center of Stonebridge. Good Luck.

In order to study Medical Cosmetology you need to have a medical degree.

How can one complete an A-Level? Most online providers will tell you that you're only paying for the papers and tutor marking etc. and that you'll need to pay for, and arrange separately, the exams. I would love to do a maths and statistics A-Level to bring my general employability up but I don't know if I should just try and go to a local college (but with the death of FE, it is getting harder). Also I noticed they do a fairly cheap IT certificate. Will this help me get a job? I currently don't have a GCSE, but I'm fairly good with computers already, I just need some paper that says 'Yes, I have basic computer skills, thanks'. Cheers.

What I'm sure is that most of the courses are accredited by the British Qualifications Body... you need to make sure that it is listed in the Certification of the respective course you intend to take.
Report this content MarinaV. Written on: 01/09/2014
The Stonebridge Associated Colleges are accredited by "abc".  In addition, as I have mentioned to the tutor's department, you can be accredited internationally, for more, please ask the tutors. Best

Hi, The College is accredited, and so are the courses. The higher level courses hold more value. If it is particular subject to support a job application - e.g. TA,then practicle experience is a requirement.

I have done the meteorology level 3 and ecology level 3 and am now doing the psychology level 4. All these courses are accredited by the ncfe. I do not know how much that accreditation will help you but I would liaise with the college and also talk to the ncfe if you are not sure. The courses are not cheap but I have found them interesting and stimulating. I should stress that I am only doing the courses as a means of keeping my 70 year old brain active, I am not actively seeking to use them for job seeking. Good luck.

It is very difficult to understand anatomy by learning it out of textbooks. If you want to learn reflexology then you need to have some practical hands-on experience. Personally I would waste my time doing any reflexology, I'd make sure you have the correct qualifications to get you on a Pysiotherapy course.

If you are thinking about a career in Physiotherpy then you need to check you have the right GCSE's to get on that course before you consider any other courses.
