I bought my daughter a pandora bracelet august 2012 which she liked to wear on special occasions, unfortunately a few months later the clasp came off. We returnrd it to Mark Worthington Pandora of Bramhall. The girl who attended to us didnt seem to be bothered at that it had broken and told us that it would have to be sent back to Germany for repairs and would take a month. Suprised to hear this but we thought we would have to wait just like other people who had been unfortunate enough to have a faulty item. Over a month passed and we hadnt heard from the shop so we decided to phone to find out if it had been repaired and ready for collection. We were told no it isnt, we dont send individual itemd we have to wait until we have a few to send to Germany and it would be a few weeks more before we could get an update!! I bought this for my daughter to wear, she is upset the fact that she has not had it to wearin the past month and has to wait further few weeks?? before she will know when she will get it back from the other side of the universe! Cr--p customer service from Pandora and Mark Worthington. Wouldnt recommend either to anyone.

Although the Pandora brand bracelets are beautiful and extremely popular the Pandora company fails miserably when it comes to customer service. Ask anyone who lives in the Toronto area and has tried to return or exchange their Pandora purchases at any of the GTA locations - Upper Canada Mall, Yorkdale, Bay queen street...etc. Starting the week before Christmas - all Pandora retailers have REFUSED to process any exchanges or returns -stating various reasons such as they are too busy - systems are down..etc. Seems to coincide with the same time they started running out of styles and bracelet sizes. Just got back from the Upper Canada location which is now saying that they cannot process returns or exchanges UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Are you kidding me!! What other retailer gets away with simply refusing to accept returns - especially with gifts at this price point. I also heard from other customers there that they witnessed very heated discussions yesterday at the Yorkdale location. They now have my name and will call me when their systems can process exchanges. Can't wait to get that call... and to finally RETURN my lovely (but too big) bracelet and charms - because as nice as this jewelry is - I simply would not enjoy wearing it after seeing how greedy this company is. According to the Pandora website - their goal is to become the most recognized jewelry brand - well I'm not sure what they are hoping to be recognized for - but they sure have made a bad name for themselves in the GTA.

I have had a pandora bracelet for a while and was pleased when a friend bought me a new charm for Christmas 2012 Within days the pearl dropped off and was lost I approached the Meadowhall store , believing that pandora would see that the charm was new and replace it Like so many reviewiers, the staff at the Meadowhall store have no concept of what constitutes good customer service and refused to help , saying I had to approach my friend to get the receipt before they would assist. Being uncomfortable with the prospect of telling my friend that the expensive charm she'd purchased for Christmas was faulty I asked pandora head office if they could help . Twelve days later I received a reply saying I could pay £8 to get the charm repaired(how they would do this I don't know as the pearl droplet was lost) or get the receipt from my friend so they could send it off to see if its faulty ! Both my daughter and I have pandora jewellery and have never experienced any problems however their customer service is so poor we will not buy pandora again

Pandora stores are all franchised so each store may be owned by a separate company. If a faulty item is brought into store, a receipt must be produced for the store to be able to send the item away for them to receive a credit. Also a receipt is 'proof of purchase' so they need to know that it has been purchased from a reputable source. 90% of shops these days require this for a refund or an exchange, you should keep your receipts safe or you wouldn't have had a problem!!

Years ago, I was given a Pandora bracelet from a friend. It was nice but eventually it stretched (and I only have 3 charms) to the point where I couldn't wear it without it falling oddly around my wrist. A couple of months ago, a friend of mine got two for her birthday so she gave her spare one. I tried to put one of my charms on it and it broke right at the end. The bracelet was brand new but had been purchased about 4 months ago. I was able to locate the recipt and went to my nearest Pandora store. It was about a week before Christmas and there was a security guard outside the door and a line up. Really? We're not talking Tiffany's here people? Anyway, I waited and eventually got to see one of the store staff. I showed her the bracelet and she looked at teh receipt and said something about it being bought at a different Pandora store. I failed to see why that mattered but she went away into the BACK ROOM and eventually returned to tell me that they would have to send it away and i would have to wait 4-6 weeks. I didn't really care about the length of time but what a waste of their time and money to ship it away when they could just replace it. So, I told her as much and she went back into the BACK ROOM, had her lunch or something and eventually came back with a new bracelet, telling me that the store owner had showed up and had indicated that he could replace it. Good. Progress. At the same visit, I was also looking for a "sister" charm for a friend (so she could give it to her sister) Surely a company that makes mother charms, father charms, kid charms, dog charms, mailman charms and god knows what all else would have a "sister" charm. NOT. So, then the salesperson suggested a birthstone. My birth month is March as is this girl's sister, so the salesperson shows us the March charm with the birthstone. March is Aquamarine, which is blue and this stone was grey. Not a light blue/grey. There was no blue to be had - I would say the stone was slate grey. So, I said that to the sales person, that it appeared to be the wrong colour, to which she replied that Pandora had their own birthstone colours. WHAT? Either she was very new, thick or I don't really know but it was the craziest response I ever heard. Fast forward along, my friend didn't want the charm so now I am taking it back. Thinking Pandora would have some special rules, I read the return policy. I have to take it back to the original store or all I'll get is a store credit. So, rather then take it to the store that is 10 minutes from my house, I have to travel 45 minutes instead. OMG. Originally when I got the bracelet it was cool but honestly, I can't bear to wear it to advertise the company.

Pandora uses genuine stones, so every single stone is a slightly different colour. Aquamarine can vary from a light grey, to pale blue, to dark grey. Same with turquoise, which can vary from a very bright blue to a dark blue. Plus, birthstones differ depending on what country you're in. Pandora was founded in Denmark, therefore they use the Denmark version. Eg using Grey Moonstone instead of Pearl for June. This is literally all on google.

I wanted to buy a pandora ring. When measured for my ring size I was told I had the smallest ring size that they did not have in stock but they could order it in for me. That was in August. 2 weeks ago (November) a member of staff contacted me to tell me that basically as I required the smallest size I would have to order it it "special delivery" yet would not receive it until after Christmas and would have to pay a percentage of the ring price to order it in. I was disgusted at this and will not be ever buying from Pandora. They do not have the customers best interests at heart and quite frankly have a cheek to ask for more money to order something in like they are doing me a favour.

Its normal to ask for a deposit if a company are ordering something in for you especially....otherhwise how do they know you will ever come back ?...or what happens if they order the item and you fall under a bus in the meantime. ?......stupid to leave a bad review over something that is normal retail proceedure
Written on: 08/07/2013
That wasn't the issue it was that I waited ages to be told all that just because I wanted to try the product in my size. And stupid to comment on a review I left last November so whatever!!

sterling silver tarnishes when it is exposed to water. Chlorine and salt water will damage the bracelet. A hot tub will cause damage as well. The bracelets also tarnish if it is stored out of sunlight. Every pandora should offer free cleaning services. If not, a regular sterling silver polishing cloth should do the trick.

My pandora bracelet also tarnished and turned dull very quickly. It was not my fault as I take proper care of all my jewelry. The quality of the silver is obviously very poor. It will not even clean up with the approved cleaning methods. Very poor quality. When you go to the store for help they always tell you it is your fault the jewelry tarnished. Very bad company.

Mum bought me my Pandora bracelet about 3 yrs ago and I have a lot of charms from family and friends so it is a real work in progress and I loved it. Today I took my cardigan off and the bracelet broke - at first I thought I hadn't done the clasp up properly but then realised that the actual chain itself had broken. My cardigan is light, didn't appear to tug at all and doesnt even have a pull mark on it so I am amazed that something seemingly so strong could suddenly break. Not at all happy. Will try to take it back to the original store but reading the comments on line it seems that Pandora bracelets may cost a lot to put together but really aren't made to last the lifetime of memories they claim to hold.

Have written several times to Pandora to ask why my bracelet tarnishes so terribly. They have promised to get back to me and here I am almost a month later with still no response. It was a gift - one that I am most unhappy with and would never recommend. I have a lot of silver jewelry but none has tarnished as much as this thing. I have asked my daugher to not buy any more charms but she loves hers and the grand kids love theirs so they think I need to keep up the charms and significance of each charm...oh if only the bracelet were a good quality. I consider this jewelry a rip off.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am very upset that I paid a lot of money for a bracelet and charms that have dulled and tarnished so terribly and will not clean up with approved cleaning methods. I take care of my jewelry very well. Never put it in water or expose it to any oils, etc. So it was not my fault it tarnished so badly and can now not be cleaned up at all. The store clerks tell me it was my fault it tarnished. Not true. Very poor quality silver jewelry and bad company procedures for working with unhappy customers. The old saying the customer is always right does not apply at Pandora.

My Mom very kindly brought me a Pandora for christmas... I had 4 charms to go with the bracelet which have not been a problem.. After 3 days of wearing this bracelet i realised that it had broken...The thing that you put the clip had come undone and my charms were rolling about my Pandora... It has now been replaced by the store that my mom brought it from but i feel the bracelet i am wearing at this moment is so much more different to the one had before.

I had been thinking whether to buy a Pandora bracelet and charms for ages - I love the look of them but they are fairly costly, even if you build them up a bit at a time. I did decide to treat myself in the end and my first purchase was the bracelet itself. However after shopping around i managed to get mine for only £25 from the Pandora Outlet store at www.pandora-outlet.co.uk Deciding on the size was a worry as they come in 19 and 20 inch lengths. I have a fairly small wrist and thought that a 19 inch one would be fine as I was worried it would slip off if I went any larger. However, it was lucky that my friend had already purchased a bracelet and filled hers up with charms. She let me try hers on - a 19 inch one. I found that with the charms it ended up fairly tight, especially if you choose the murano glass charms so I chose the 20 inch one. With only a couple of charms the 20 inch bracelet is loose and with a bit of pulling I could get it over my wrist. But, my friend let me fill mine up using her charms and I was very very grateful that I had opted for the slightly larger one. Once it was full I certainly wouldn't have wanted it to be any tighter. The bracelet is a strong build and feels good quality. I do have problems opening the catch on it as i have big fingers. It isn't like any catch I have ever come across on a bracelet before and you have to get your fingernail in and twist it to open it. I think this must be a fairly common problem as there is a little tool available that you can buy specifically to help you to open the clasp. As I don't have one of these I normally have to get my hubby to open the clasp for me but that isn't a major problem. Even with just a few charms on the bracelet it feels and looks great and I have already received a lot of comments. It does really need a decent number of charms to look stunning but hopefully I will be able to fill it up with birthday, Christmas and anniversaries.

i received this bracelet as a gift, expecting it to be the ind of bracelet that would last a lifetime. less than a year on it has broken, so my sister took it back to the canary wharf branch to be replaced. we has no receipt, but explained it was a gift. we were charged for the repair but what made matters worse is that the snotty sales assistant was incredibly rude to my sister suggesting that a considerable force must have been applied to break the bracelet - i think she was suggesting it was deliberately done. what really happened was that i just found it lying on a chair at home (luckily, it didnt fall off when i was out as i had several beads on it too). it just fell off. i had not caught it, or tugged it ro anything, it just fell off. the glass beads scratch really easily too. overpriced and treat their customers very badly.

My husband purchased a Pandora bracelet and some charms and since then I have had charms bought for me to add to my collection. WARNING! The glass and wooden beads are only guaranteed for 30 days from the date of purchase. (This applies to the leather and string thongs as well) I have a wooden bead and some glass ones. The wooden one has started to lose its glaze and looks terrible so I went to the Bluewater store where it was purchased and was told there was nothing they could do. At the bottom of the receipt it is printed in small font about the guarantee. The receipt is usually popped into the bag after you make a purchase. Surely it should be pointed out BEFORE you purchase these items as you may not read the receipt until there is a problem. I am amazed that at £35 for the bead it is only guaranteed to last 30 days. I could have bought a cheap alternative in a market for a tenner and it would probably have been better value for money!

I bought a Pandora bracelet and birthstone charm for a very special friens birthday. After 1 week and wearing the bracelet twice, the whole thing turned black. I returned this back to the shop and was told by the staff this had happened because she had worn it for swimming. My friend is a none swimmer and does not go near swimming pools. After discussion with the staff, they agreed to send my bracelet back to 'head office' for it to be analysed to see if there is any fault. I was told this would take 4 weeks. It is now 8 weeks later and the shop have not returned and let me know where my bracelet is. I am slowly loosing patience with this brand. One staff member is now telling me it could take 12 weeks to have the analysis carried out, but the manager of the shop is saying it should not take more than 4 weeks (think it being 8 weeks, should make them realise it definitely takes more than 4 weeks) I will definitely never be buying anything from this shop or francise ever again

My daughter bought me a double twist leather bracelet for Christmas, just under 4 months ago, and it has already broken. I took it back to Pandora, expecting an exchange but the staff were most unhelpful. First of all they accused me of having too many charms and then told me that leather items are only guaranteed for 30 days! I cannot think of another company who treats customers this way, especially after taking hundreds of pounds from them without mentioning their awful aftercare service.

I bought my daughter a Pandora bracelet plus a few charms for her 30th birthday in January 2009. It was greatly admired and a few of her friends were also considering having one. She has had a lot of the charms bought for her subsequently as presents and the bracelet is now full. She has not worn this bracelet a lot and in March this year it snapped, just a few weeks out of guarantee (1 year). Luckily, this happened when she was at home, otherwise she would have been minus a few hundred pounds worth of charms. We took it back to the shop in Nottingham where it was purchased. The staff were most unhelpful, but did say they would send it back, but in so many words "not to hold our breath". After a wait of 4-5 weeks she has been told they would not repair it or exchange it for a new one. She is now left with a lot of charms and no bracelet. We are reluctant to purchase a Pandora bracelet again and are looking for something else of a different make. We would not recommend Pandora to anyone now.

I love my pandora charm bracelet but they are very expensive. Apart from that an ideal present.
Beautiful looking, lots of choice of beads and colours. Something you can add to. Makes it easy for the hubby to buy presents.

Your Pandora charm was obviously like 90% of all Pandora charms. Why would a real Pandora store give you a replacement when you can't prove it was even bought from them?

Pandora should be able to tell if the charm is from them. It probably was. If they can not tell, then it is obvious that there charms are no better than the other charms on the market. It appears that Pandora has poor customer service, and I am now hoping that my mother and I do not face the same issues that others have faced with the bracelets that I have just purchased.

Each store has a different inventory because they are franchised. Lets say you tried to exchange a Chanel powder you bought at Macy's at Dillards. Chanel might also be in Dillards, but the inventory is completely different.
