We booked one room at Victorian Guest house in Nelspruit during July 2019. This guesthouse is advertised as a 4 Star guesthouse by Bookings.com and only the good reviews are listed. I would like to know what qualifies as 4-star accommodation under bookings.com because we were so shocked and disgusted with this 1star place. Firstly, the staff could not understand English, and was not at all trained to work with customers. They disagreed with us that we paid in full even after showing them our receipt of full payment. Furthermore, it is mentioned that they have tea/coffee makers in all rooms which is not true. There was only plastic cutlery in the room, not enough towels, no hair dryer and my list can go on and on. The next morning, we had the worst breakfast ever! They gave us one menu after we had to go and ask after waiting several minutes without anything happening. We ordered our breakfast and did not even get what we asked for. We also asked for Milk as there was only cremora available at the coffee station and even that was a problem. Not sure if it was maybe because the staff did not understand us. I read through other complaints now on this property and seems like the owner does not take responsibility for anything. She keeps responding to complaints, saying that it is not true! How can this guesthouse still be on Bookings.com?? I keep Bookings.com responsible for this absolute terrible experience I had at Victorian Guest house. I truly hope Bookings.com will take action and something! I will warn everyone about this terrible place!

They booked us in Arlington, Tx when we asked to be booked in Burbank, Ca. They charged our Debit Card while we were on vacation. They would not give us our money back! We fought with them for 3 days and the hotel. We have over drafts and fees now from our bank. This is not the first time! They always say a Manager will call you tomorrow and no one ever calls. Use Expedia! They've always taken care of any issue immediately! I will never use these people again! They are a nightmare! They mess up and you don't get a refund? Are you serious? Not to mention...no one speaks English cause, it's Worldwide. You could get someone from Turkey on the phone. I don't understand everyone's accents. The customer service is flat out rude and will do circles around you to keep your every dime!

Book your room at the price the site says and then find out the cost turns out to be higher... BEWARE?..read ALL THE FINE PRINT if you don't prepare for a difference price then first stated HIRE A LAWYER TO READ ALL THE FINE PRINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never ever use this site to book a room again in my lifetime.....

Nothing to say except to check you voucher and what is hotel will offer you, because im surprised that the hotel stuff in marrakesh want to guve ne a samll room different from what i booked.

I do not recommend using booking, use any other site, but not booking. Keep your nerves and calm. Just the other day I made a reservation in the evening on the booking, they confirmed it, approved the card, I had the option to pay immediately, I calmed down and went to bed. In the end, it turned out that the booking was screwed up, I had to deposit the card again and again, and only then the money was written off from me, and it turned out that they had written off an amount that was much larger than what was indicated in the booking. With other sites I have never had this! The booklet provides false information on the cost, you book by choosing the option to pay now, and then you are charged a much larger amount than indicated in the booking. Responsibility no one bears, support service waved away and all. Never use booking as a reservation. It is convenient to search and so on, but use another service for booking. Good luck!

I arrived at the hotel i had booked through Bookings.com to find out i had no reservation and that they were full. I never received any phone call or email to tell me this had happened and so i had nowhere to stay and further more everywhere else was fully booked. i would never use this company ever again as they do not care about their customers.......very unhappy

This was the first time I had used them and was so disappointed in my experience. They were not helpful at all. When I had issues with the hotel they washed there hands of the whole thing. I will never use booking.com for book the hotel ever again.

Dhaka is one of the world's biggest and most intimidating cities. As Shams's staff's helpfulness really mitigated that. For example, I got my breakfast order written out in Bengali so I could go into any neighborhood restaurant and try it. It's located in an area of new Dhaka, actually in the printing trades area, one can really see the city as it is there. And it's convenient to Old Dhaka sites, the staff helping as well in obtaining a pagrickshaw to get there. The room wasn't fancy but it had windows and was cool with the fan. Very pleasant and as in the heading- economical. Overall a great choice in a challenging place.

+ comprehensive portfolio with competitive prices for accommodations + frequent traveler programme offering additional 10% discount on certain venues + solid search function - The website is constantly trying to stir customer regret by displaying locations that have just sold out. - Teasing with Free Cancellation periods, but there is no policy on minimum runtimes. In certain countries, Free Cancellation runs out within 3 hours and you are trapped. - worst customer service in the industry (They will play pingpong with the accommodation provider.)

We did not expect to lose several hundred pounds down the drain when we started as it was so easy to book a cottage on-line via Cottages and part with our cash. Then a small change was required. What a nightmare, was it websites for lodging world, booking, property.booking, vacation rentals or Cottages? All seemed to be part of the smoke-screen that prevented the matter being resolved with one phone call to the property owner. It did not help that all contact numbers returned to one,always busy call-centre and that all emails to them are on a 24 hour reply basis. As things stand, the booking has had to be abandoned and several hundred pounds lost. Our worst nightmare as a result of the lack of effective communications. We have now booked somewhere else at short notice to save the holiday and now at double the cost. Needless to say, we will not use webs-sites for lodging world, booking, property.booking, vacation rentals or Cottages again. Buyer beware.

We rented a hotel apartment through booking.com. The day before we went away the property owner called at 6 his property wasn't ready but he has another property where we can stay. Because I found him honest I accepted to go there and look at the property. When we came there were tired and we get the keys and the wives were out but we put suite cases in the property but not being comfortable I let my wife take contact to the owner that reacted a couple of hours later. He was busy what is ofcourse normal dealing with his problems. After a couple of hours my wife talked with the owner and said this is not acceptable ( Moulted walls, Smelling sewer, Danger access window and stairs with 3 years old children ). The owner said I will call booking.com and tell them and they will have to sort it out. Long story short booking.com said your there 5 hours so we cant do anything. You can get your money back or stay. There we are with two families and 3 years old kids. So we said ok transfer our money back so we can book another hotel No that will take 3-6 days. So no money and no acceptable hotel/apartment. No help at all and just left alone. And at the last message they where holding cleaning cost 100,-. No taking responsibility just left alone. No use of the apartments but holding back 100,- euros for a cleaning that wasn't even cleaned. So for us the most horrible vacation we had for many years. Oh and we cant leave a review on the website of booking.com about the service they provided. We had our money back after a couple of day when we were back in the uk but 100,00 lessor and spend more money on other accommodation. Thanks booking.com for ruining our vacation and taking money for nothing.

Their "Two Factor Authentication" feature is an absolute failure: it is asking for the SMS confirmation code every single time I navigate to the website, despite already having logged few minutes ago, on the same browser on which other websites have no problem with cache and cookies at all. This is sufficiently annoying to make me just want to book my accommodation on other websites. Their website also constantly forgets my language¤cy settings. Again, this does NOT happen, on the same PC and browser, with other websites such as airbnb, holidaylettings, etc etc Furthermore, when you do eventually log in, the website is very aggresive, constantly bombarding you with useless irrelevant pop-ups about how many people have booked a hotel in the same city in the last hour, etc. Their customer service is completely oblivious to all of these problems, which have been reported to them multiple times. Well, maybe they will care more when it comes in the form of 1-star reviews. Good luck!

you are representing a company that has false photos and doesn't honor the no cancelation fee policy.the grounds are discusting,trash everywhere.the ladys at the front desk are rude and don't give there attention to the customers.they are not dressed profestional at all.I have several tattoos myself,but I don't show them in full when im at work.the toilets don't even flush the toilet paper down,I had to use the restroom at the gas station.there securety guard hides in the lobby and doesn't enforce all the in and out traffic after hours.drug deals allnight long.cigarette butt stations are always full.there housekeeping is only available Tuesdays and Thursday for hundreds of rooms.unexceptable.there towels have blood stains and bug stains.when a customer voices concerns about one of your buisnesses you represent online,you expect them to take pictures and document items.I don't work for booking.com or exstendasuites Columbus.do your own diligence whether its yearly or what have you.I would rather have slept in my truck then stay another night there.I booked for two days and was only asking for a refund for the second night and wasn't even granted that.there policies don't match your own claims on your website.I am a single father and don't have enough time to take out of my life,or I would continue to write a longer version of my concerns with your company aswell as yours.so continue to let extendasuites-columbus and yourself to continue to deceive people who work hard for there money and time.carma cathes up to everyone and every business in due time.

March 10, 2019, I thought price of $284.62 was high, but booked anyway. I did not receive a confirmation number or email to confirm booking went through. March 11, 2019 asked my daughter to book a car for us. To confirm this rental didn't go through she was on hold for over 30 minutes before asked to rate call and was disconnected. She tried two additional times with similar same result and thought I had been taken in. My credit card company said I had been charged and needed to wait for charges to go through before disputing and stopping payment. Based on the fact no confirmation was given and no one answered the phone, she booked a similar car with another company for under $200 after taxes/fees. Today, March 13, 2019, she was able to talk with a representative after holding for 19 minutes only to be told the email confirmation had been sent (never received), it was MY FAULT I had no confirmation number, the email would be resent (this one I did receive) and was cut-off in mid-sentence. I am not only upset, but greatly disturbed. You do not have adequate help to answer phones and the customer service you do have is UNCARING, RUDE and BLAMES the CUSTOMER for requesting a confirmation number never sent. I am glad my daughter called because I would not have been so nice on the phone. With this "service" I will not book from you again and I will tell anyone looking for a car rental to avoid you like the plague. They should, however, go to HERTZ.com! My daughter went online and cancelled the reservation, but I want a FULL REFUND including the cancellation fees.

Bookings.com web site does not follow through with the actual booking to the hotel. I had my booking confirmation#. When I arrived at the hotel, they had no record of request/confirmation # from Booking. Very annoying. Many hotel were booked in that area due to a festival going on. The hotel did have a room. I would not recommend using Booking. Instead go into to the hotel web site directly and book it through them.

We recently (Jan 2019) had a bad experience where our condo at the resort was not nearly as nice as shown on line, nor was the overall on line description as nice. When the resort is full, you have little choice but to stay in the "bad" condo until another one becomes available. Booking.com was the booking agent, but once at the resort we were to discuss the matter with the local reservation agency. To make a long story short, and after 5 days (which took being proactive and making many phone calls to the reservation team and to Booking.com)we were able to move rooms and we were compensated for the inconvenience. In the end, it was fine, HOWEVER, this condo should have never been rented out in it's awful condition, and it was disappointing to walk into when we arrived as we were expecting a very nice condo, not to mention the time it took on the phone, waiting for call backs that sometimes didn't happen, and then making the move. The Sugar Beach Resort (Maui) itself is fantastic and we will return. We did our homework while there and now know best way to book for next time. Booking.com representative was very helpful during our time of need.

I booked a room through booking.com for one of my colleague. It was clear this was non cancellable and payable in advance, which is fine. AFTER I paid (for 14 nights so that was a bit of money), I received an email saying that the person to check-in and the person on the booking HAVE TO be the same. I tried to contact booking.com to explain my colleague from Korea would be staying at the hotel and not me. They said I had to contact the hotel. I contacted the hotel who said booking.com would have to change it and confirmed they would not give the room keys to my colleagues. I contact booking.com again who agreed to send an email to the hotel confirming I would call them and change the name on the booking and that was ok. I waiting a few days before calling the hotel again who said they did not receive any email. I called booking.com AGAIN - who said they can't possibly do that (send an email ... so hard!) and do not even have a way to call the hotel (!!!) This is so frustrating. My colleague will fly all the way from Korea and after a 13 hours flight will probably have problems at the hotel - looks like she might not even get the key to her room (which is fully paid, in advance). What I am supposed to do ??? Book another hotel for the same 14 nights? I would advice NEVER to use booking.com. They are ok if there is no problem. As soon as you need help, the use the "procedures" to explain they can't help you. They could not care less.

Booked a hotel through booking.com (Agoda.com was actually $20 cheaper for same hotel but chose booking.com since they had better reviews. I booked a Hotel located near Sea World really far in advance- Checked in at 5:30 pm (earliest check in was 4) and room was very hot and didn't cool down. Called front desk within 45 minutes and was told they couldn't move us to a different room because they were sold out (this is a huge hotel) and they would not give refund. I called booking.com and waited over 25 minutes to talk with a representative -they said they couldn't issue a refund because of "hotel policy". I was told by booking.com they could do nothing for me and that I would lose the entire amount $ 160.00 paid for the room. I asked if they could let me know if there were any other hotels with vacancies in the area since my daughter has asthma and can't sleep in a hot Florida room with no air. I knew most rooms were sold out. All they did was send me a link which showed five hotels that were within 15 miles and all cost over $300. Then of course the representative told me to have a good trip! Thanks for nothing booking.com. I will never use your site again.
