“Avoid them!”

I went through immense pain and frustration today, trying to renew my business insurance with Simply Business. I only called to update my credit card, as the other had expired. I wasn't expecting a tirade of repetitive questions aimed at up-selling the policy and increasing cover. By the end of the call I could have boxed the guy's ears. Thanks for the feedback, and apologies for what sounds like a very poor service on our part. I'd like to think that the consultant was trying to ensure you were properly insured, but either way, it should be communicated better.

I'd really like to investigate this and see why we weren't up to scratch in terms of service. If you could please email it would be much appreciated - I will then look into this immediately.

“wrong cover and bad customer service”

- when re-checking for quote on a comparison site, got a call immediately from them asking me for a renewnal and passed on to the sales team - the sales team tell me i was on the wrong cover for the last one year and i will not be covered (no renewal) - get an email the next day that they have charged me anyway for a year of renewal without my permission - i call up again, get an apology and a promise of a call back after discussing with the underwriter (hiscox) - no call back so i call up… Read Full Review

“Highly un-professional people in customer care centre”

I had issues with them while buying policy in May 2014. People are very unorganised and arrogant. Somehow I managed and continued with them. After 8 months when I had some amendment to do and called them spent 45 minutes on phone and they said we will call you back as our system is running slow. “Vile and utterly rude sales staff! Steer well clear”

Within 10 minutes of filling in the online form I got a phone call from a pushy salesman who's response to me saying we were getting quotes was to huff down the phone and just go silent. Our process is to call our customers once you've ran through a quote online to see if we can help or tailor the quote for you, however this shouldn't have included a pushy sales person. Absolutely the most frustrating and most harrowing experience to get employer's liability included into an existing quote. Everytime I have spoken to the Customer Service team at Simply Business I have wanted to tear my hair out and bang my head against the wall. Be sure you have at least an hour in your hand when you call them as they will ask you the same question 10,000 times and put you on hold at least 20 times!! becaruful everyone, your dont buying any insurance on internet,and do not open account they page ,not give them bank details ,they dont ask you for next year insurance and they doing automatic,and after if you want call them ,they will say "you have got automatic renewal,after if you want cancel ,they will say ok but they cant do it,why i dont know,and they not cancel do it you account on internet they keeping your details, sorry my english not well but and still i didnt cancel automatic… Read Full Review

Thanks for taking the time to feedback to us. We do offer continuous cover where we ask you if you're happy for us to automatically renew your policy the following year. However I must stress to you that this is optional and you can opt out at any time. You will receive an email that tells you the date the payment will be taken and the price of the policy, then you are give several weeks to get in touch and let us know if you do not wish to proceed. “Gas Boiler Repair-STILL WAITING”

NOW INTO THIRD WEEK OF WAITING WITH NO HOT WATER NOR HEATING. They sent boiler engineers, to evaluate why my boiler was not working. After me chasing Simply Business several times they eventually said contractor stated it needed new circuit board but were too busy to give costing. Last Friday I suggested they get new contractor. Im currently insured with simplybusiness but i will not be renewing! Took me months to receive my discount payment for purchasing via vistaprint! I had to send at least six e-mails and was told on several occasions by e-mail and phone call that payment would be sent. Eventually it turned up but by that stage any confidence i may have had in the company evaporated! Hi, we try to make sure all our discounts are sent out on time all the time, however I appreciate that 2 months is a long time to wait.

Regarding the Vistaprint offer, we ask that you are on cover for a minimum of 30 days before we send the cheque but due to postage and packaging times, this can take up to 6 weeks to arrive. Please be assured that the majority of our discounts arrive on-time as planned however mistakes do very occasionally happen.

“Appalling Sales Tactics”

I obtained a business insurance quotes, sole purpose of pulling together a business plan for a new venture. Received the 3 suggested quotes after completing a short form. I have since received pushy sales calls from this broker company which is behind moneysupermarket.com. They are very pushy, and only interested in trying to secure a sale/commission. “Wrong Cover”

A company acting for Simply Business contacted me after I had got an online quote. The adviser went through a few options all of which I wrote down. Despite a high premium I was tempted by the cover offered through Royal Sun Alliance - because I was told then one million of cover cost the same as £250,000. I didn't need one million cover it but I thought it would be good to have. I get the policy certificate and I'm only covered for £250,000.
