For me, this is the best browser. Here a bunch of tools, extensions, functional settings and it works quickly. I like the function of automatically translating a web page from a foreign language. All bookmarks are synchronized. Passwords I recommend to save before reinstalling the operating system. The rest is no problem.

Chrome is a very good search engine. Only problem is the speed...

I am not a big fan of Google chrome. But still I use it occasionally. It is slower than Firefox and take more time to load. But it comes very handy for some web sites. So I recommend it as an alternative web browser.

Used to be great. I'm on an iMac, and now all I'm getting from Chrome is 'resolving host, 'connecting', time outs, and a new one today; 'waiting for available socket'. As said, it used to work perfectly, now it seems to work only when it feels like it. I've got the latest version installed, so cannot update further. I now won't use it and have gone back to Firefox. At least that works properly. What I like about it? It used to work. What I don't like? It's awful now.Wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy.

I have just spent 2 days 'spring cleaning' my computer. That means getting rid of all the annoying glitches that creep in over the months. I am left with an annoying 'Run As' Box which kept loading. This started a few months ago - coinciding with loading a garmin map application. But this turned out to be Chrome. 1. The shortcut is not set to 'Run As' mode! 2. The prompt doesn't say which program is requiring elevated permissions! 3. The extensions are greyed out and only enable when I click OK (This gives me a clue that it is the browser requiring elevated permissions. Why? Why should my browser suddenly take over my pc and decide what I want. 4. My elderly father encountered problems - His favourite home page and search engine suddenly changed. It took me a good hour to research and reset his browser to HOW He wanted it. 5. The browser now takes forever to load. Ergo I am switching it off permanently.

Google chrome used to be quite good but is now the worst of the bunch. It crashes all the time , freezes and can be very slow. The crashing is worst of all when working on a few open pages and have to close them all down and start again. For a company the size of google this is horrendous, I would recommend people don't even bother with chrome, maybe use firefox or even IE.

Utility Wise recently helped us to change our provider and offered an excellent service. They were very patient and informative. We are very busy and my partner is Deaf and they were very considerate and allowed us time to consider what we wanted and we are very happy with the outcome, hoping that the bills are going to reflect this. Can't fault their service, thoughtfulness and information.

It looked neat and promised great things: speed, safety, versatility, the Google name. In reality it is slow, cumbersome, and refuses to download al all some files and sites. Every "improvement" made things worse. Tried it for 6 months but now gone back to Firefox. I wouldn't touch it again and now refuse to accept any app or file that is in any way connected to Chrome. Treat it like a virus. It's hard to believe that Google produced something so flawed.

Got seduced by the shiny new browser called Chrome and got addicted, but like other addictions, it's not exactly a good thing. Problems with Flash, problems with speed, problems with extensions, lack of options etc etc. The biggest problems I had with Chrome were surprisingly two other products made by Google, YouTube and Search. Youtube would grind to a halt on many occasions, yet would be running without any issues in Firefox at the same time. And Search generally worked on a basic level, but it ignored my Search settings, always returned back to page one of a search when I was actually on page 2 or higher, or never returning to the exact point in a list, all after pressing backspace after visiting a search link. But all this worked problem free in Firefox. But like other addictions I stuck with it. But today, a day in October 2013, I kicked the habit and went back to Firefox..... and what a relief I did. Firefox is so much more usable, stable and problem free.

Used to be fast, reliable and just fit for purpose, then with every upgrade it got slower and buggier. After version 30 I gave up on it and simply ditched it for Opera, now I am not looking back. I know Opera's engine is based on Chrome but it's just hugely faster and more reliable. I think Chrome is trying to become an operating system, but the current experience is very poor. Such a different browser from the first versions, more like some bloatware than anything else.

When I first changed from IE to Chrome I was very impressed.I loved the fact you could download some really good games. That was about a year ago, now I find it won't download Hotmail and it is slow to download some info sites and getting into my bank is a nightmare. When I switch back to IE everything is perfect. I have no idea what is going on but I won't be using Chrome any more.

I installed it a couple of years ago. Initially all was fine but then GC started slowing down, and I went back to IE (which was at that stage faster). Yesterday, I succumbed to the pop up message telling me everyday that my version of IE is old and unsupported, and I downloaded GC again. I had the 'empty message/no data sent out' as soon as I started using it. I was checking some details on the www.rac.co.uk and half way through I could not access the website. I looked up some forums and it turns out it is a very common problem. I quickly went back to IE. Thanks but no thanks Google Chrome!

Chrome is a fantastic browser! It's got a nice look and feel, many apps, easy to use (Though from those moving from IE, a bit of getting used too is required at first), many websites work great and has lots of features packed in! Auto-Updating for security, sandboxing and they're just two! There's a whole range I could talk on and on about forever! Much better than IE for sure! Never moving back!

I love this browser for its fast browsing. Before the chrome Firefox was my favorite browser but now it is my second and Chrome is my fist.

It is the fastest of the three browsers I have on my PC (the other two are Firefox and IE). It is generally very easy to use, has easy navigation and tweaking options. I like pretty much everything about it except for the fact that it doesn't always work as it should. This is probably due to issues with certain websites being incompatible with Chrome, but I find myself resorting to IE at least a couple of times a week. It is usually issues with websites not displaying correctly in Chrome or certain website features not working, while everything is displayed and works correctly in IE. If it weren't for this, I'd give it 5 stars.

Chrome may have overtaken the market as the most used browser but I still tend to rate Mozilla Firefox higher. True that Chrome has plenty of features and also loads far more quickly than Firefox but the truth is that it also contains a lot of bugs and thus tends to crash more times than Firefox. Moreover I love the addons of Firefox much more than Chrome. Maybe I tend to use Firefox more than Chrome and hence the bias but Chrome too is a good browser and hence I have decided to give it a higher rating.
