Following limited success with SEO and after making inquiries with several other companies, and with only a small budget to work with, I decided to place my business with Smart Traffic. They were the company that didn't try to blind me with science! Having now worked with Smart Traffic for a year they have taken my site from having only three key words, on page four, to having all my 12 key words on page one! This has quadrupled my visits and, subsequently, my orders. Some months the movement up the rankings had been slow, however the Campaign Manager was always available to talk through the strategy and explain what was happening, in simple term. My experience of Smart Traffic is that they provide a professional, straightforward and supportive service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any one.

I have used Smart Traffic for both onsite SEO advice and link building services and every time I have found their knowledge to be right up to the moment, their service levels excellent and the quality of their links is of the highest standard. I have tried many SEO service providers and have vetted numerous link building companies who have approached me. To date I have yet to find another organisation that has the quality of resources and the consistence of delivery that Smart Traffic offers. The results speak for themselves. I would thoroughly recommend using Smart Traffic to any business that is looking to improve their visibility in the search engines. It is easy to find cheaper service providers but very difficult to find this level of quality at such a reasonable price. If you want SEO that delivers results and continues to deliver you should seriously consider Smart Traffic.

I started Giantcod in 2007. I have some SEO understanding, (or did back then) and got my site kicked off by doing my own onsite work and by building some links by contacting similar websites and doing a link exchange. This took time, but by August 2007 I got up to about 130 unique visitors a day, not bad – enough to justify the purchase of more stock and a small unit. My link building efforts were getting me about 10 – 20 good links a month, depending on how hard I hit it – problem is, as anyone knows that has tried to do this themselves whilst running a business, it takes a lot of time. By Early 2008 I was up to around 250 unique visitors a day, mostly from Google and spending around £500 a month on pay per click – not sure how many visitors were from the organic listings and how many from PPC though. I actually got a call from Simon at Smart Traffic and we kept in contact for about 3 months before I committed! It turned out that I was not getting a huge conversion on the pay per click, probably my fault as I have not tweaked the campaign since setting it up and I decided to switch the budget from PPC and try some SEO – starting on a small budget. Smart Traffic worked on my website first – optimising it for my target keyphrases. After around 3 weeks after the work started I had a noticeable increase in enquiries and noticed that quite a few secondary keyphrases were starting to rank in Google – these very specific keyphrases seemed to convert far better into actual sales than the main ones – which at that point had not shifted much, although they were being targeted by the campaign. Even at that time, smart traffic were not cheap – there were PLENTY of other companies offering to do my SEO far cheaper, albeit with more wooley targets and with hindsite, I think a lot of what I was being offered back them by other random SEO companies was just smoke and mirrors. Being a small business, a had to fight for every pound earned– my spend with Smart Traffic was a major expense for me and I did think about pulling out every other week but with encouragement from Simon M. just about stuck it out. One thing led to another, by 2009 my spend with ST was pretty big, but I had binned all my other marketing and I was getting good traffic and ranking well for a decent number of keywords. Virtually all my traffic and inbounds were coming from Google organic listings. 2010 was a good year 2011 was even better – I was ranking in top position for 2 of the top 5 keywords and high positions for the others – with scores of secondary keyphrases ranking, many top, and orders were coming in thick and fast. Then, I was slapped by the Google Panda update and lost my rankings overnight. The business took a big hit and Simon M took a huge amount of grief. He invited me to see their operation and I must admit I was impressed. Over 170 staff, they seemed to working pretty hard and I remembered the days when I was doing my own SEO, would not want to go back to that – but at least I could see some justification for the costs, which made it feel better in my head! We had hoped to get the rankings back in a month, in reality it took 6! I dont blame ST, plenty of websites got hit hard to the update and Simon was pretty good when the S*** hit the fan. 9 Months after the update, I was back to where I was – plus some. I have now out competed my competitors, survived the recession and paid off my mortgage. Most is down to slogging my guts out, but – recognition where its due, my SEO campaign and Simon were a big part. I have seen a couple negative reviews and find it hard to believe they are talking about the same company. I don't work for smart traffic and have not been paid to write nice things about them, but I found them to be a decent company that get results through hard work and proper SEO. Any SEO campaign has to be long term – give it time to work guys, I know if I had baled out too early, my SEO campaign would have probably failed.

SMart traffic are a vey untrustworthy company. we paid £1000 upfront, and the rest was to be paid on completion. they promised to give us lots of themed links, but in fact the links were not themed at all. they were not related to our line of business in teh slightest. when we brought this to their attention, they said all the links were themed to shopping, and shopping was our theme!! they had promised that they would deliver links regarding mens fashion, but they back tracked and said no, shopping is your sector.... i mean shopping is such a broad sector, surely half teh sites on the internet are related to shopping. we refused to pay and they eventually took us to court. fingers crossed we will not have to pay this terrible company

Smart Traffic have done a great job in making sure potential clients have found my site. When you have not got the budget to compete with the national brand names in recruitment, these guys have put me ahead of some major players in our industry. Rankings did not come overnight but I knew that it would be a slow burner but definitely worth the wait. Tried a couple of one man band search marketing companies before Smart Traffic and found that they were great at giving me advice but did not have the time to roll their sleeves up and get the hard work done. Very happy and would certainly recommend to others. Thanks for all your hard work team!

These gusy are terrible. Be warned. Took $1000AUD promising the world and claiming that they operate in Australia. My SEO results actually went down after we started with them. Save your money and do not trust these thieves.

Smart traffic was recommended to me by a business acquittance who was using smart traffic's free service. I had used a few companies in the past with very poor results so I was doing the SEO work myself. But seeing as the offer was Free I thought it could back up my efforts to get us to page 1 for my chosen keywords. Within a month we started rising at a alarming rate, far better than I had achieved. So I contacted Paul Zelen at smart traffic with the view of switching from the free service to a paid for service. He advised me I may see a drop before the paid for work kicked in as they would need to remove the Free stuff to avoid any penalties caused by the different approach. We paid a one off fee (ADHOC) and pretty much exactly what he predicted happened. Even to our place in google after the work was completed. I decided to pay again to try and reach my goal of page 1 knowing this was a big ask, Paul advised me that round should get us to the top of page 2 which again he was correct. I have since signed up for a 3 month campaign but Paul has since moved to a different department and handed over our account to Jamie Levon who has been very attentive and has always returned emails and been available to speak to if I had any questions. If he did not know the answer to my questions he always goes off to find out for me and come back with the answers. I am 5 weeks in to our 12 week campaign and we have made our goal of page 1, our target now is to get higher on page 1 and of course stay there so it is looking good at moment. I have introduced quite a few websites to smart traffic and will continue to do so. Attempting to go up in the rankings on your own for a competitive keyword is pretty much impossible for a small company without help from someone like Jamie and the rest of the team at smart traffic. Looking forward to a long relationship.

We decided to change to Smart Traffic about 6 months ago after spending a lot of money with another SEO company with very limited results. Whylee O’Brien has been our campaign manager throughout the last 6 months giving us almost instant result on key brands. I would definitely recommend Smart Traffic to anybody who is after a SEO company that gives results

I wish I had read these reviews before jumping onboard with Smart Traffic. Initial phone calls were great, promising all sorts of results and even sold to me on the fact that their SEO work was 100% transparent. Most importantly, having a good online reputation meant that I require themed links which are themed to my selected keywords only and that was part of the reason why I decided to sign up with this rip-off SEO company for a total commitment of 3 months. After 2 months in the campaign I requested a full link report to show what work they had done for my website. It showcased the fact that my website had been placed on a totally inappropriate websites. Their excuse was it's all themed appropriately as long as the content on the site is relevant! And at $40 a link... you would think you had a site which was of higher quality. To suit both parties, I then decided to put this project on hold for a few months to see if better rankings came through and sure enough, no increased movements. Their Campaign Manager gave me a call to say that if I do not finish with the contract, they will need to make this matter legal. Intimidation?! I am deeply disappointed at being miss-sold in the first place whilst at the same time, cringing at the fact that they are still continually ripping off businesses today! Smart Traffic does not comply with appropriate business ethics and should be struck off trading. Avoid this SEO firm at all costs!

We decided to put Smart Traffic to the test back in December 2011 with one of their Christmas Promos. By January 2012 all initial forecasts had been massively overachieved and we are now considering a more long term strategy. I’d heard negative press in relation to SEO and, like most, we were rather sceptical about instructing an SEO company. But from start to finish David Haslam, our Campaign Manager, guided us through the minefield to ensure we knew exactly what was being done behind the scenes and as a result have a much better understanding of SEO. To say we are delighted with the results is a big understatement and we have no hesitation recommending Smart Traffic to anyone (other than a competitor!)
