I've been taking driving lessons for just over a year now and I passed my test first time .
My instructor Abdul Miah was always on time, never cancelled lessons and was always 100% attentive when teaching me. His calm teaching manner was excellent when i began as I was nervous but as time when on my confidence grew due to his excellent teaching.
I'm glad i went with RED and i'm glad i got Abdul as my instructor.

I learnt to drive with RED Driving School in the cov & Warwick area, and my instructor's name is Steve Kirwan.

Steve is amazing!
i have reccomended him to all of my friends and will keep reccomending him untill i go blue in the face!

He got me from never driving a car to passed and Pass Plus completed in just a few months!

He keeps your calm and concentrated throughout your lessons and is even a good laugh!

He made the lessons so good that i already miss going for lessons. I may even ask for an extra 2 hours just for the chat!

A* Instructor! doesnt get any better than Steve!

I learnt with RED driving school in Borehamwood, my instructors name was

Colin O'shea.

my intructor was very punctual (usually 5-10 mins early) and has NEVER canceled a lesson he also had a very good knowledge of the surrounding area and lots of the test routes used. durring my lessons he gave very clear directions and instructions and took me to tricky areas (unusual speed limits and unforeseen/tight bends) in the tests routes so i didnt make a silly mistake because i had not practiced it before.

overall i would recommend this instructor with confidence and know you will pass with him aswell...

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I learnt to drive with Lawrence McCran "Mac". Knowing him through work, I chose him personally. This was my second time learning to drive after 14 years so was quite nervous. Mac is very patient and has a great sense of humour which really helped. He had unwavering confidence in me from day 1 and thanks to him I passed. If Mac is a typical instructor with Red I would highly recommend them.

Called on tuesday, 20th July to book lesson for Saturday 24th.
Given "Mick" as driving instructor and told 11am. Spoke to "Mick" and confirmed lesson for Saturday @ 11am.

Standing outside my house on saturday, trying to call "Mick" but his phone was off, until 11:30am. Then got a call from RED saying lesson was cancelled, "Mick" had to go somewhere for his kids.
No contact from "Mick" until Monday 26th July... by then too late and booked with another firm.

Very, very bad service and no care for new customers. BEWARE

I was taught to drive by David Angus of Red Driving School. I have only had one driving instructor, but that was all I needed. David has a calming influence in the car that takes alot f pressure of when learning to drive. Always reassuring and making sure you know what is going on inside and out side of the car.

Highly recommended

“At first, I was expecting the worst - the operator...”

★★★★☆

written by on 06/07/2010

At first, I was expecting the worst - the operator got the days wrong as I got a call from my instructor (Charles Greenacre) stating he didn't even work on the day that was given to me and thusly had to be changed to a further 5 days back. I then received my confirmation letter through the post, they had spelt my name wrong.
I had also been called Dean and stated that I lived in Dover and neither of those relate to me.
So all in all, a few mistakes were made before I even got to drive.
I wasn't holding my breath for a decent result from my first lesson which I had today.

I was surprised to see a friendly face at my door and Charles was talkative and got me out of my nervous state of mind, after an hour or so of going through procedures and asking me to repeat what he's said until it sunk in, such as the procedures of safety before starting to drive such as seat belt, adjusting the seat and mirrors etc.
Charles then allowed me to drive, and was very patient with me, I did stall the car 4 times throughout the remaining hour of my 2 hour booked lesson but this didn't anger Charles and he just told me to remain calm to minimise mistakes.
He was very decent to me and I recommend RED and definitely Charles Greenacre - the main mistakes were from the operator, maybe he misheard what I was saying.
All in all, so far it's been decent.

written by on 06/07/2010

After no driving practice for over 3 months I called RED Driving school after failing my test numerous times. I had already been with 2 other driving schools, both of which I wasn't very happy with as I felt the instructors weren't as good as they could of been and the cars they used for lessons were not ideal. I was put into contact with Ian McGinnies, a very highly qualified instructor who helped me greatly over a couple of months to get my driving up to a good standard and give me a lot of good tips on what the examiner will be looking for, I then took my practical test and passed. I have recommended him to 2 friends who are looking to start lessons within the near future and i would recommend the driving school as a whole to anyone.

I learnt to drive with Andy Sineath of RED Driving School in Aberdeen.
Andy was a very patient instructor who always asked for the best performance possible and accepted nothing sub-standard; exactly what you need in a driving instructor. His explainations of principles, rules and manouvres was always detailed and helpful. Andy kept in regular contact, promptly alerting me to any appointments he had available and would text reminders of lessons.
Andy is an excellent teacher that you can rely on.

RED is a very friendly company with an excellent standard of vehicle provided and, if Andy is anything to go by, an standard of teaching too.

I learnt to drive in the Crawley area with RED Driving School, my instructor was Richard Smith, he is an excelent instructor, I learnt with another driving school before RED and had a lot of nurves when driving because of that instructor, however after driving with Richard he was able to help me and I passed on the 3rd July 2010.

I would have no problems in recomending both RED Driving School and Richard Smith to anyone who asked me.

Thanks Richard so much for the experience and for getting me through my test!!! Yay!!! Yas.

I learnt to drive with Dan Taylor from "RED Driving School" in the Liverpool area. I started lessons here having already had several lessons beforehand, and Dan helped me to improve my manoeuvres and to get me ready for my test. It took a few attempts, but on 3rd July I finally passed my test with only 4 minors.

I picked RED driving school which covers South Manchester and was given KAREN MILLER as my instructor. The first time I met Karen I knew she was going to be AMAZING she went through everything made me feel settled and comfortable. She is truly fantastic and extremely passionate about her job. Everything was very very thorough and if I had any queries I would just ask and Karen would explain. It is soooooo important having the right driving instructor as you spend alot of time with them and due to karen I PASSED 1ST TIME 3days ago on the 21st June 2010 and it was down to the support, driving skills and techniques karen taught me. Having successfully got both my daughters through their tests with RED, I couldn’t have been more pleased. To my understanding from my Daughters, you can change instructors whenever you wish, on the proviso that there is more RED instructors available in your area.

I did because I had already had lesson with another driving instructor different driving school and I joined Red to pass my test but after a couple of lessons I booked my test and then found out he couldn't fit me in for my test on that date so I phoned Red and they booked me with another instructor, he took me for some more lessons and then in to my Test which I eventually passed

Just phone the RED office to see what the availability is in the area. It might be worth sticking with it for a few lessons while you are new to driving

Red have self employed drivers and half way through my lessons my instructor moved away bk to Europe and red had no other instructor for me had to start all over again with different company and was offered no apology or compensation for the set bk and had to cancel my test

Hi Humayraa, all of the prices vary depending on how many lessons you wish to book, all of the prices are given to you whilst you are on the phone, If you decide to use Red Driving, then whilst on the phone with them tell them that you would like a Female instructor and they will do that for you. Within a few minutes of booking my lessons I received an email from Red with all of the details of my instructor, and before I had finished reading the Email the Instructor was on the phone introducing himself and making arrangements for the lessons Hope this helps
