Over the years I have sold many things with the Friday-Ad. Cars, furniture, kids toys and much more, and every time I've been amazed at how quickly I start getting calls and ultimately sell the items I am advertising. I don't think there is anything I have advertised, normally for free, which hasn't sold within a week - maybe two weeks for my wife's Rover Metro. The online 'Place An Ad' system is easy to use and takes about 5 mins to place an ad from start to finish. Ok, so Friday-Ad have a tendancy to put a lot of emphasis on their paid for upsells but I guess they have to try and make money somehow so I'll let them off - and it is still easy to place the ad for free. The site itself is full of bargains and sometimes it can be good fun just to browse through some of the more obscure sections and look at all the odd items being sold. Bizarre Bazaar is a favourite. As is the 'Free Stuff' pages. Site can feel a bit messy at times and navigation could be improved, but all in all I think the sites works well, the service is fantastic and I make money from it for items I'd otherwise likely throw away. Brilliant!

“sold my wardrobe within 2 hours!”

Very pleased with Friday-ad, I put my wardrobe up for sale and within 2 hours I had 9 phone calls and it was sold! Found it very easy to place my advert and it was FREE!! You don't get good service like that these days so I will definitely be using it again! One of the things I liked was its local feel...when you sell your stuff its picked up the same day by someone who just happens to live up the road! No faffing around with delivery, p&p or couriers!

Its a great place to sell stuff you no longer need to make a bit of extra cash. You can sell anything online for free and also have the option to have your advert in the local printed version of Friday-Ad. The best thing about Friday ad is its really local - unlike other classified sites, it really connects locals buyers and sellers. I love it and always seem to sell my things within a few days.

I am looking for a house via Friday Ad. Is it normal for all the landlords to reply in the same way? When I send the message showing my interest they all reply the same (asking information about me, which I already gave) and then they all ask for me to take any kind of financial commitment. I would understand if it was just one! But isn't it a little bit suspicious that they all reply the same type of text and in one case three different people had same lawyer.
