It is not a safe place. There is a guy that sublets illegally his house. He put an ad and I reported and explained the situation. The girl staff said " "We can not and will not get involved with this dispute, As it has nothing to do with the advert, as already stated unless we are contacted by Police, trading standards or the owner of the property we have no reason to remove the advert based on the information you have provided". She didn't ever bothered in asking a proof of property. It was unprofessional and unsafe place. I wouldn't trust in and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody". Of course, I am not going to go to the police. It is a long and hard process. Just to let them know. Furthermore, I sent them a link where they could check that the advertiser is a problematic guy with too many convistions with the justice. Despite of that, they didn't worry about that. The same guy advertised before on Spare room and when I reported him then the moderators asked him to the guy for any proof of the property. When he couldn't provide it, then this ad was no live as it is no safe. In Friday ad they don't do that. I deactivated my account

DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS WEBSITE. Friday ad was aware that I was in contact with a potential criminal and they did not bother to inform me! As a result, I lost a lot of money. Then, they said they have removed and banned the user which was a complete lie because the user was advertising something else on their website!! It's an absolute disgrace!

I in on the seach for a particular vehicle, there appears to be lot listed, but at lower than expected prices ans without telephone contact numbers only emails which you can't see. I have also had identical replies from two 'seperate' sellers and vehicles . . . Ummm! Beware when using this site to find what youre after - especially when its cheaper than you would expect. Don't be handing over money before speaking and checking the goods and the 'seller'.

Friday Ad changed their page layout recently and I find it awful. I think its what is referred to as optimised for tablets and its rubbish. Does not work well and a lot of the functionality I used to use it for does not seem to work. For example the ways I have searched using multiple words no longer work and bring up results with every word. Gumtree has for the first time taken over as my preferred choice. And the ap was so bad I deleted it.

I refuse to ring any privacy number in Friday Ads on the grounds that you are still charged a minimum 37.5p per call EVEN IF THE SELLER DOESN'T ANSWER. For that reason I never use a privacy number in any ad I post because I know that I'll get less callers.

Personally i always prefer to buy things locally and I believe your service is easily the best around, i bought a motorcycle a few weeks ago, a jinlun 125 and i may say its the best purchase i have ever spent, brilliant service and brilliant directories lead me to that purchase and i cannot thank you all enough. I would most definitely recommend the site, customers and staff at friday ad as i believe it to be genuinely a safe environment for anyone to buy and sell locally.

I have had many responses to a Variety of adverts. Waste of time. Have removed all my adverts now. Gumtree and Preloved seem to stop this happening on their sites. It is no good having a site that is easy to use, when the security of replies is so low.

I received no response. Could not find ad amongst loads of homes for sale. Could not access any views or responses as my password would not allow it and I was unable to reset my password. The printed,Ad said Fridge Freezer and not fridge freezer housing.Gillian Thomas

As far as I know, no response. Could not view as would not accept password or reset password. The entry in the hard copy was incorrect as it said Fridge Freezer instead of fridge freezer housing.

Sick and tired of Ebay and sister company Gumtree's Big Brother style banning of my genuine ad that I decided to search for an honest alternative. My ad was on for a week, then refreshed after that which led to a call from an interested buyer. Money arrived today so have sent their item registered post this morning. Everyone satisfied all round- cost me nothing in fees and a genuine person will benefit from the tickets I had for sale. Would definitely use again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. If you are trying to sell event tickets in particular, this is an excellent site- I didn't want to make money, just wanted someone to make use of the tickets as I was unable to go. Ebay and Gumtree now have ridiculous rules and attitudes towards ticket sales in the pretence of protecting us from ticket touts when it is their very existence and trading tickets at ridiculous prices year after year which has resulted in mass unwanted tickets and sold out concerts in the first place. Use Friday ad without hesitation.

I offered a sports item at a competitive price, it was sold two days after the ad appeared. The right items in the Friday -Ad sell quickly.

I thought that I'd give Friday Ad a try instead of EBay. I was pleasantly surprised as I sold my item within a day and didn't have to bother about postage etc. Item was collected and we were all happy with the result. Would certainly use the service again.
