“Return of walking shoes”

I purchased a pair of Merrell walking boots from this company via Amazon and on receipt found that the size was inaccurate and on further check on the internet found that they were reported as being 1/2 size small fitting....not the size 8 as identified on the label. I promptly repackaged in all the packaging they came in and returned using Amazon generated label on 48hr delivery. They arrived 2cdays later and I expected my refund to follow. 5 days later and still no refund. I contacted them and received an email saying they hadn't received them..I checked track and trace and phoned up to tell them they had them. I was told they had gone into a Returns dept and hadn't been forwarded to the sending dept so condition could not be verified. I cannot believe that the person receiving them could not be contacted and verification obtained of the brand new boots fully boxed etc. I am still awaiting refund after many email communication and 3ven mobilising Amazon customer service..a task in itself. Never again will I purchase from this abysmal company. They must be totally inept and employ staff who are without any idea of customer service.

Most terrible service! Let's start guys. 1. Almost complete lack of customer support. Online support is almost unavailable. The phones indicated on the site are also not available, from the word AT ALL! Emails are generally answered when they want, if they want to. In dealing with clients, they try to make you look like fools. Delivery times are deliberately false. The first time I ordered sneakers from them, I waited, but did not wait. The courier simply could not find the address, which was more than correct, and sent them back. Okay, I think. Everybody has it. I tried again and the devil pulled me to do it. But this time it's even more interesting. The order was placed on December 24th and hasn't even been shipped yet.  In general, guys. If you want to lose a lot of energy, time, patience and nerves, then I highly recommend this site. In other cases, if you want adequate service, then I do not even advise you to look towards this store. The review was made fairly and based on facts. And so, it's time to supplement your review. On December 24, an order was made and paid in full, but so far it has not been received, almost a month has passed, and the parcel has not even left the territory of England! This company does not give a damn about you as a client, the main thing for them is to get an order and money, and then completely your problems! Customer support is just good, or rather, none! After I once again wrote an angry letter with indignation and said that they can keep the package for themselves and money too, but I will take good care of them and write everywhere about their unfair work, even in terms of legislation and with the involvement of the law, they immediately called me! You are guessing, they called me from the left number, because the numbers indicated on their website are invalid numbers in principle)) And they offered me a refund for shipping in the amount of 3.85 € as compensation))) It was just amazing and very generous from their side))) They began to tell me about coronavirus, about Brexit and how hard it is for everyone in this world now. But guys, I don't give a damn to be honest! You have a company policy, in which everything is described, and you break the law and the rules of your own company only as something that would literally deceive your customers and embezzle their money without responsibility, but this will not work! The dude who called me was from the support service, an Englishman to the root of his bones and he told me about Brexit, who could have known that it would turn out like this)) The whole world knew, but a true Englishman was at a loss and simulated a schoolboy very cool)) I told them more than once, guys, indicate on the site truthful information in connection with such problems so that there would be fewer such complaints and problems, this will be right for everyone, but again, they don't give a damn! By the way, I will note that I once ordered one product from England, but they made a mistake, but they made a 50% discount and free shipping without question, because for them every review is important and valuable for their business, that's the level! And these comrades don't give a damn about their customers again)) In short, summing up, I want to say that if you want to lose your money, time, nerves and strength, then never order anything on this site, never! For my words I answer and vouch completely, every word I say and write here is a pure truth, which I am ready to defend even legally in court! P.S. there are no questions or complaints about the customer support guys, they are ordinary employees who are not able to help you or influence anything. This is not the end, guys, I have not yet received my package, but be sure that this review is far from the last for your company and I will make every effort so that as many people as possible know about your unfair work in order to warn them.

“Wish I could give them no stars ...”

I ordered a waterproof running jacket nearly a month ago. The money was transferred straightaway from my bank account. However, the jacket never arrived and SportsShoes claim that payment was not made. I sent them a screenshot of the receipt I had as well as of my bank statement showing the money had been taken. I am still awaiting a refund after having sent over 20 emails and just being fobbed off each time. They are now trying to claim it is my bank's fault. They don't care, they aren't interested and I presume are just waiting for me to give up trying to get my £45 back.

I'm astonished to see all these 1* reviews and am wondering if this company has either changed hands fairly recently, got their act together, or not the same sportsshoes.com that I've just dealt with in Shipley W. Yorkshire, as my experience has been faultless. With only 7 days to go till Christmas day, I ordered a pair of Salomon Walking boots at 9.10 am yesterday morning and at 10.42am got message saying they had been despatched and giving me a tracking number. My boots arrived today just before midday and I am thrilled with them. These identical boots are currently £180 at Cotswald Outdoors and I've paid £122 plus £2 next day delivery, from this company, so extremely happy with entire experience. Delivery was via Royal Mail and came with our postman, so very easy.

“Please don’t buy at sportsshoes.com !!!”

I have an account at Sportshoes.com for one year. With every order I made, there was a problem. I'm paying with PayPal, secure option for seller and buyer. Last time I've got this email from Sportshoes: In order for me to release this order I need a copy of some kind of document that is registered to the billing address that is also in your name along with some form of ID that matches the card holders name. You can of course censor any private information. I apologise if you feel this is a little invasive but we must ask for this documentation, not just in the interest of our security but also the card holder. How the web shop has right to ask for ID? I’ve red their “Privacy Policy”, which is written very nicely, and nothing about ID or any similar document. After I refused to sent them my ID, they didn’t contact me. They leave my order open, and the amount of purchase is still block on my credit card, of corse.

Beware of this company. I placed an order Jan 23rd and have not received my shoes. They said there was a shipping error and it was being sent back to them, and that I would have to wait two weeks until it was returned. It's been two weeks and now they said I have to wait again because the return wasn't actually processed. They've refused to send a replacement order or refund my money until they get the order back. Also, their customer service is unreliable. Attached is a photo of how their responses look via email, their message in the midst of a mess of HTML code. If you're thinking of ordering from them - don't do it, you might not get your order or your money back.

“Seriously aggravating ”

I purchased a pair of shoes through Amazon on Nov. 28th. I received a confirmation email from Amazon that they would arrive between Dec. 30th and Jan7th. I wasn't told this until AFTER the purchase was made. The next day I received an email sportsshoes saying it had shipped. I assumed a mistake on amazons email part. Since these are a Christmas gift, I couldn't wait that long and had planned to cancel the order. But because I got the email saying shipped I figured I was fine. Well, here it is Dec. 22nd and they have said in transit for almost a month now. Not happy! So I go in to look at reviews and well... read them all yourselves. I am about to boycott both Sports Shoes Unlimited and Amazon. I'm super annoyed!!!

“Poor service”

Waited well over the delivery time for my order which turned up with two different size boots ( 11 & 9.5 ). When I complained I was told they never had any other sizes available to replace albeit as I had a size 11 and size 9.5 I would have thought they would have the opposite pairs still available. I was offered a suitable replacement and after I accepted, several days later I was again told they was now none of these in stock. Over three weeks after payment made, I still not received any boots . Made another complaint but got no response but later just got a refund with no explanation about the poor service

“money reserved on my account / no shoes sent to me”

Right after placing my order I got the message from customer service saying I have to proof my ID (as my billing address is different from the delivery one).Sent all requested proofs immediately and waiting for the reply for 5 days already + nobody is replying to my reminder emails. Money is reserved on my account by sportsshoes though... So I have neither my shoes nor my money (as reserved)

If you make a mistake of ordering from them you will receive unwanted direct marketing emails every other day. Unsubscribing doesn’t stop them. Calling them and asking them to stop doesn’t seem to work. Emailing the request to customerservice doesn’t stop them. I hope the Information Commissioner’s Office will do something about it.

I returned a pair of trainers that did not fit and requested a replacement pair. I provided all the requested information in the required timeline. They failed to respond, ignored emails, did not return phone calls. Dreadful service. I have still not received a refund. Am in the process of instructing my solicitor. Disgraceful lack of custoer service. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE A DISGRACE

“Sportshoes.com take your money but don't deliver”

 First off i have used many online services before but none as bad as this, perhaps because i am located outside the UK? Anyway i ordered 3 pairs of track spikes on 7 December 2015, confirmed by Sportshoes. as having been mailed. When following up on the delivery towards the end of the month (by way of the order number) the online system said the order was "closed" upon which i mailed them to find out what this means? Apparently it means delivery was successful even though i had not received anything on my side here in South Africa? So to try and and find out where this package was i requested the Royal Mail tracking number from Sportshoes.but to no avail as they kept on giving me the run around eventually saying that the package was deemed lost and that i had to fill in a claims form which was not intitially sent, and by the time it was sent apparently it was too late, as it had to be filled in within 28 days of the mailing date? In the mean time i also tried to get hold of senior management to inform them of the situation, but no reply thus far? My next step and last resort will be to arrange for a VISA chargeback and spread the word far and wide for people to stay away from Sportshoes.com unless there is some sort of logical explanation and they make this right and do so as soon as possible - PATHETIC REALLY? The big worry for me is the lack of a Royal Mail tracking number as it can only mean one thing - they take your money so goods paid for are not sent!

“DO NOT USE!”

Appalling company, do not use or recommend. Ordered 2 pairs of trainers at the same time. One arrived in the expected delivery time, but 3 weeks in they are faulty. The pair that didn't arrive, a few weeks later, I rang to ask where they were to be told they were out of stock and they had no idea when they were coming in, there was no OUT OF STOCK comment on the webpage otherwise I wouldn't have bought them. There was no email to me to say they were out of stock or when they were likely to be, very poor customer service. I cancelled the order! I emailed the company regarding my faulty item (including photos) and also rang them about it. It was answered by a gentleman who basically said he couldn't talk to me and that he would put me onto a customer service advisor, this took a while and whilst she was very nice (hard at times for me to understand as I don't think English was her first language, but nevertheless still pleasant) suggested that I send them back. The website says that I will need to pay for the return delivery which I think is disgusting as both trainers have come away at the same place on each shoe (I'm questioning myself whether they are genuine Nike ones!). She informed me that I would get the delivery charge returned if found to be faulty. The next day I received a reply to my email, which clearly read like a standard response everyone gets, and then went onto say if your item is found to be faulty they will either refund or send a new pair out. My email to them said they are FAULTY with photographic evidence. They've clearly not bothered reading my email at all!!! However, if I have a new pair sent out to me in the 'same size' (of course I would want the same size!), I will not get my delivery charges back?!? How is that fair or right??? I decided the best option would be to ask for a refund. However before doing that, I decided to research the company more online. After reading several negative comments about delivery and customer service, I am concerned that if I send the trainers back (even with proof of purchase) there is a chance that Sports Shoes will deny receipt of them, or if they do receive they will say they are not faulty (which they clearly are) and I will not get my money back anyway. So my daughter is going to have to wear trainers that are faulty as I don't have the time now to continue chasing this up, and she can end up with none. I would recommend to everyone using Sports Shoes, ignore the price, it really is worth paying a little bit extra for at a more reputable company as shown when I ordered another pair of trainers for my other daughter (in place of the ones that were supposedly OUT OF STOCK) and they arrived within 48 hours with very good customer service.

Everything was OK until you miss the time when delivery was made, told on tracking site that will redeliver the following day, will 3 days later i was still waiting, no communication, no help, left to hang and dry. Lousy, hermes courier, avoid until courier service better...

This company sells its products via Amazon. When I purchased from them recently, in short order I received a follow-up email begging for positive feedback and further business. This is exactly the reason why I (and I believe most other savvy internet buyers) don't trust companies like SportsShoes with their real email address. It seems like the temptation to spam is simply too great for clueless companies like this. That cluelessness is the whole reason why they have to sell their wares through a third party, and pay fees for the privilege of doing so. Anyone with half a brain would realise how self-defeating and stuck-in-the-1990s a business model spamming would-be repeat customers is. Anyway, this company complained to Amazon. And, despite my review not breaching any of Amazon's own guidelines (merely having a negative opinion should never be a reason for suppressing reviews in any system that aspires to be credible) they decided to remove it to protect their Seller from valid public criticism in this regard. So I guess that just leaves the rest of the internet (including sites like ReviewCentre, Facebook and Twitter) to make sure my opinion of my experience with this company gets heard. I felt that any other potential buyers should know that this company's apparent reputation on Amazon has been arrived at by suppressing valid negative feedback. It's important to realise that the ostensible rating you may have been relying on when viewing their Amazon profile is based upon a lie; an artificially whitewashed version of reality. When vendors can get away with spamming simply by asking Amazon to remove their bad press, it removes any trust that any of us may have been able to have in customer-driven reputation scores. The first page of this site's ratings of this company far more accurately reflects how real customers actually feel about this company. A know-nothing marketing graduate with zero life experience will no doubt be along in a minute to provide a weasel-worded non-apology expressing "regret for how I feel" (as opposed to apologising for their company's actions.) Please, don't bother. Consumers are savvy enough to see through such self-serving tactics, just as easily as we can see through tactics like asking Amazon to artificially increase your apparent approval rating by suppressing negative feedback.

Price may be good but service is diabolical. Don't expect any service if you have a problem. They seem to go out of their way to make life difficult for you and trying to get a refund is almost impossible.

i am slightly worried, it might just be the fact that it's a sunday but i've ordered some nike air's from sportsshoes.com and it said to expect a conformation email within half an hour and it has now been about two hours, and help?
