“InToTo German KITCHEN”

The kitchen was ordered in Sep 2015 and ready for delivery and installation in early Nov 2015 (as scheduled). When we first visited the InToTo office in Birmingham city centre, the kitchen designer showed us the products on offer and designed the kitchen accordingly. Under no circumstances, attempts were made by the salesperson to oversell the product or use forceful techniques to sell. It was simply left to us to accept or reject the estimate and design produced. This quality factor is unique to InToTo staff. The installation was delayed due to the ongoing building work but it was completed in early March, 2016. In the meantime, the kitchen was kept in storage for us. We have had issues concerning installation but these were resolved amicably by InToTo's helpful staff members. The lady in particular held our hands right form the beginning to the end. InToTo do have a policy of keeping the communication channels open throughout the process. No organisation is perfect and we had our fair share of ups and downs during the installation but here it is important to state that InToTo staff have a policy of listening to the customer and resolving issues as quickly as possible to the customer's satisfaction. The product supplied by InToTo is sound and worth the money invested into it. We would recommend InToTo offices based in Mere Green and Birmingham City Centre to anyone.

I would like to say on behalf of my husband and I a huge thank you for your help and patience during the whole process of searching for the right kitchen units, worktops, appliances and well basically everything that is needed for a new kitchen. We have found your response to all communications highly excellent, that for me in particular was a very important part and you definitely exceeded, you delivered to a high standard of service. Your time and patience have equally been welcomed by us from the start of the designing to the instalment. Your designs gave us an excellent insight and vision to what our kitchen would look like. Her suggestions were very beneficial from the design point as she had suggested a totally different colour to what we had thought of and as you know that is what we have gone with and are very happy with this colour scheme. We have appreciated very much her suggestions. The quality of your units is of a very high spec as we had done our research well and yours were by far the best. The finishing on the whole kitchen again is of a very high standard. Whenever we required him to come onsite to measure something or that we needed his advice, he always came without hesitation as soon as he could. Also another lady has always been polite and professional and always prompt on her communications. To summarise the above, I find your company to be extremely professional, taking a great pride in what you do and yet ensuring a friendly reliable service for before and after. “Terrible quality units with poor fitting service”

Our kitchen cost £18k and the surprise started with finding units were 15mm not 18! After 5 months the units blew either side of the cooker! Local Yeovil manager unhelpful and said extractor should have been put on 15 minutes prior to cooking..!! Fitter broke unit on first day and was unhappy when we told him and pointed it out.. His attitude was terrible and set the standard for the rest of the job We have just removed the kitchen after 3 years to find he siliconed the glass splash back writing swear word for lady parts!! with the adhesive..!! I'm going to the shop this week to get my £470 the glass cost as its unsellable.. The fitter lives in Crewkerne and renown for his poor workmanship! Feel free to ask me for photos! In my opinion go to Howdens to get a better service I'm happy to not be anonymous but this site may not let me print email... Respond and I'll put number & email!

Stores use local, independent fitters to install our kitchens and we strive to select only the best professionals to ensure a high-quality finish. I am sorry that you feel your experience did not match this standard.

It is correct that extractors should be switched on prior to cooking; this is the recommendation all kitchen specialists should encourage customers to practise.

Please send me a telephone number. I will be looking for my money back for the glass splash back that was adhered by silicone using the c word!
I don't care about sub contractors or franchise sales.. We buy from INTOTO and therefore you need to be responsible and accountable for everybody within your supply chain.. The kitchen has been removed for over a year due to the poor quality of it!!
I look forward to a number and updating your response on here!!

“Amazing Service ”

I would highly recommend Intoto kitchens, I thought I knew what it was looking for but when I walked into the showroom I changed my mind, Amish was amazing from the moment I came through the door even though I had a limited budget he made me feel comfortable and did everything possible to help me create the kitchen I wanted. I have waited a while before reviewing the kitchen units, I have had several kitchens in the past but the quality of the drawers and units seem excellent, Thanks again for all your help Amish.

“My lovely "purple" kitchen”

It's two years now since Intoto Jesmond installed my lovely kitchen. I loved it at the beginning and I still feel the same today. Ours was an outbuilding conversion so it was a blank canvas. From the design stage through to installation, the team were brilliant. Space was at a premium as we were downsizing but everything that I needed was fitted in including my aubergine Aga! From the slow closing drawers that hide so much storage to the very practical Corian work tops, everything works to perfection. A great company to work with an one I would highly recommend.

“Want a 'hassle free' kitchen don't use Intoto Mere Green ”

We ordered our £35,000 kitchen in October 15, it was due to be completed on 18 December however was finally finished in March 16 when we finally received a electrical certificate that initially was not applied for and then came completely wrong. We never received an quote for the kitchen and there were continual excuses for this, we believed by going to a kitchen company that they would handle everything, how wrong could we be. Intoto demanded full payment for all of their goods prior to delivery (even tried to charge twice (£300ish) for delivery) and then it was over to us to arrange all services including, flooring, fitting, electrics, & decorating. Due to incompetence the decorators came back 7 times instead of 2. I sent in the region of 300 e mail & texts and even had the fitter threatening us to walk off job unless I paid him the final balance before the work was completed. We tried to make things easier by completely removing not only the old kitchen but also the floor in advance but they still failed to start on agreed date and we had nearly 2 weeks of no kitchen and no work commencing. You need to be prepared to have contractors starting at 7 in the morning till 11 at night due to poor communication from the Intoto office. Some issues included, electric under cupboard lights all fell off as held on with double sided tape,We had to pay for additional trunking so this could be fitted correctly, cupboards/panels over ordered and not fitted then I had to repeatedly request a refund, hot tap supplied incorrectly, doors missing, microwave not deliver in time, electrics put in wrong place as clashed with oven, water leak in cupboard(had to switch water off to stop), mislead on ability of dishwasher, plasterer had to attend 4 times, hob does not work as it should with saucepans recommended by owner, cupboards had to be realigned 5 times, costs were added on throughout job without agreement. The only contractor that did exactly as was expected to do was the floor fitter to whom we are grateful in what was a very stressful time.

Unfortunately, some of the issues you experienced were beyond the control of in-toto Mere Green. The project management of your kitchen installation was commissioned by yourself to an independent company, and the delivery of your kitchen was scheduled by in-toto Mere Green based on the date advised.

Your microwave was unfortunately late due to a manufacturing delay by Siemens, but in-toto Mere Green quickly provided you with another microwave to avoid you having to wait any longer for the Siemens delivery to arrive.

The extra delivery cost was added by the automated order system in error, for which in-toto Mere Green apologised at the time, and removed the additional cost. They also replaced your hot water tap on request.

I hope that you are now able to enjoy your stunning new kitchen, and I’m sure you will have many years of lasting service from your choice of kitchen furniture and appliances.

“Just order”

Ordered a kitchen from the the batly 'red bricks' and all is good so far. after a 3rd visit due to me not making up my mind. He was very patient and professional as I think I was been a nightmare customer. Kitchen is not due untill july due to my building work not been completed. But could have had in in around 6 weeks. Hope the £21k was worth it but only time will tell

“Dissapointed of Dulwich ”

Called into my local branch of in toto in West Dulwich following up on several emails attempting to book an appointment to discuss my kitchen. Granted it was half hour before closing time, however the reception I got from the lady I had corresponded with was at best apathetic and disinterested to the point of rudeness. Considering that I would have spent at least £20,000 on the project, I consider her service surprisingly poor and lacking in any acceptable form of customer service. I have had much better responses from staff at B & Q! I left feeling profoundly disappointed particularly as I like supporting local businesses. I cannot in future recommend the services of the West Dulwich inToto kitchens.

“Disgruntled”

After my initial delight with my kitchen, just a few months after the guarantee had expired, the laminate on a drawer front bubbled. I phoned In Toto and was told a replacement could be obtained and that it was very unusual for this fault to occur. Months passed and I heard nothing.I subsequently visited the shop where a very nice lady promised to chase the complaint for me, followed by a phone call promising a good outcome. I then received a phone call from a rep from Head office who did nothing to allay my fears that I am going to get no resolution to my problem. He is due to visit this week but I am left feeling that an expensive purchase five years on may be irreparable to my satisfaction. Feeling disgruntled at the moment.

Thank you for your response.
I bought my kitchen from the Yeovil franchise. The proprietor and his team were excellent.

Since then the franchise has changed hands and so I have no personal dealings with the present proprietor until this fault occurred. He initially assured me that a replacement could be obtained for me to purchase, a solution I was not particularly happy with as the unit part was faulty, but one I would have accepted.

Now it seems that this solution is not possible, I did suggest perhaps the front could be re-laminated but was told this was not possibe.

This kitchen was a considerable expense and to find it may be irreparable just six years on is a huge disappointment.

I will give feedback on the reps response after he visits on Thursday. If there is any input you can make to resolve this complaint I would be very grateful.

Well I'm going to deliver my splash back to the Yeovil office to demand my money back after their clown of a fitter wrote swear words in silicone ( lady parts!!) so it can't be sold!! Go to Howdens in my opinion
Yeovil does not have a good reputation! I spent £18k but worse decision I made.. We were ripped off with 15mm units!

Although feeling a little foolish right now, and after agreeing to remove this review, I feel I have a moral duty to put the record straight.
The very lovely Lady from Intoto Yeovil rang this morning to say the part was due to be fitted today.
The efficient as ever salesman duly arrived and immediately diagnosed the fault. THE CELLOPHANE protection had been overlooked when the kitchen was fitted and 5 years later on had bubbled, he whipped it off and hey presto, a gleaming drawer front. Did I feel silly or what.!!!
So peeps, anyone thinking of purchasing units with a laminated front that may have been put off by my review, fear not. They are very durable.
I would want to thank him and the team at InToto Yeovil for their help in resolving what was not a real problem after all.

“Buyer BEWARE! Intoto MERE GREEN”

Our kitchen started on the 30th March 2015 and was due to be finished on the 6th May 2015, it was finally completed on the 24th October 2015. It is difficult to know where to start, units delivered from Germany but not checked and a 3 week lead time to get the missing pieces. An inability to measure accurately, resulting in parts manufactured to the wrong dimensions. Replacement parts again ordered to wrong size. Appliances omitted from drawings resulting in cabinets being made the wrong size -more delays to get correctly sized parts. Proprietor was rude and confrontational in our own home when we asked for a meeting to try and resolve the problems. WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY EVER.

“Outstanding service from design to completion”

From the moment I walked into the showroom at intoto Newcastle my apprehensions regarding my kitchen makeover melted and excitement was allowed to take over. Having trudged around the 'usual suspects' I was starting to feel disheartened that I couldn't find what I was looking for. the people I dealt with  were a fantastic team. One  person I dealt with had experience and his ingenuity were invaluable in overcoming the awkward dimensions, angles and constraints of my kitchen. The other two were attentive and offered great advice and assurance. My 3rd floor apartment's kitchen was gutted and brought back to life in just under 3wks. All the workmen were polite, the person I dealt with was very hands on and his eye for detail continued - troubleshooting as it progressed so that by the end there wasn't really any snagging to be done. Previously my kitchen was dark and dull with wobbly flooring and didn't work well in the space. I now have a light, bright kitchen with an exceptional finish and my brief of more storage and workable worktop space has been delivered and then some. On budget too. My friends and family can hardly believe it's the same space and I couldn't be more pleased. I do not hesitate in recommending intoto Jesmond.

“Intoto Kitchens Newcastle upon Tyne”

Intoto Newcastle led by proprietor  is "Simply the Best!" After visiting five Kitchen showrooms and obtaining plans and quotes from four over a two year period we remained unconvinced by the designs offered until we visited his showroom in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne. He clearly had flair that extra ingredient we needed and we invited him to our home for an initial review. When we saw his ideas and plans we knew we had found the right man for the job. No other designer had come up with a different design or exhibited the eye for colour or confidence that was apparent with him. The kitchen fitting was done by a great group of tradesmen and we were particularly impressed by the kitchen fitter. Everything was organised by the person I dealt with with precision including the decorating. At first we were not sure that the colour of the walls we had agreed was right but once again he was correct and the colour was perfect blending with the units, new radiators and window blinds which he also helped us choose. We were so impressed that we also asked him to redesign the dining room which is off the kitchen. He did this in a way that ensures the two rooms are in perfect harmony, flowing together as one. Our kitchen and dining room are wonderful and we love them. Thank you so much to the person I dealt with and all the team at Intoto Newcastle!

“Great design, quality and service”

I walked into In-toto Dulwich on the off chance, thinking it would be out of my price range. The team could not have been more considerate of my requirements in every way, budget, design and quality. Everyone linked to the company, who came into my house, where unfailingly polite and respectful. My kitchen is quite stunning, better than I could have imagined and on budget! Great care was taken over the design and was not rushed in any way, and much help was given to chose what I wanted. I also asked for a few changes along the way which were received in the usual good grace and efficiency. Thank you so much In-toto, I am very grateful to your hard working team and I have already recommended you to my friends. The kitchen is greatly admired!

“Into Dulwich”

I just wanted to let you know that I continue to be absolutely delighted with my Intoto kitchen and with the service I received from you and the other person I dealt with . The kitchen units and appliances are of excellent quality. I love my Spevka worktop and the cream quartz you helped me to choose, and all my friends and family have admired the finished result. It looks really polished and smart but also feels very 'liveable' - and incredibly easy to keep clean. You were really reassuring from start to finish, during what can be a stressful process, and your attention to detail was remarkable. As you know, I was also impressed by your excellent fitter, who was quick, polite, tidy, and used his initiative to make sure everything was perfect. I spent a long time researching kitchens and appliances before deciding to go with Intoto, and I can honestly say that I could not find better value for money for such a high quality product. Thank you! Six months on I still feel a buzz of pleasure and excitement when I walk into my lovely kitchen every morning

“Outstanding from start to finish”

Well what can I say about Intoto Newcastle , just outstanding , they designed our kitchen to make the most of our kitchen as it is not the biggest, all the space was utilised perfectly and the colours made the whole room look bigger. All the work was carried out to a standard I was not expecting I was pleasantly pleased. The quality of the kitchens supplies are second to none the finishes are hard wearing, excellent fittings and feel like they could last a life time. The fitters were a joy to have around while all the work was carried out , and tried to keep any disturbance to a minimum. After care has been exceptional , not that it has been needed but they have followed up to see if all has been to our satisfacton. We will defiantly choose InToto Newcastle again and will recommend them to friends and family who require a new kitchen

“In Toto Newcastle”

My wife and I approached John McNeil at Newcastle InToto in March to discuss replacing a high quality kitchen in our house which had lasted over thirty years but was coming to the end of its life. The quality of the product on offer at In Toto and the wide range of choice available to us in terms of fittings and finishes convinced us that we could find a design solution which met our fairly demanding needs. John and his team worked closely with us throughout the design period starting from basic sketches which we produced through to full colour computer renderings of the finished article prepared by John. Including visits to suppliers to look at worktops and fittings the design period took about one month to complete. Once the design was resolved a program was agreed with John which involved a full strip out of the existing kitchen including the existing flooring, walls and ceilings. The work was well organised and the tradesmen, and particularly the lead fitter, worked well as a team and ensured that our day to day life was disrupted as little as possible. John was on site regularly to ensure that the job progressed smoothly. The work, apart from very minor issues, was completed within a month on program and the only changes to the agreed budget were those led by us adding additional kit to the project. John's skill at lighting design has added a lot to a very successful job and we are enjoying using the new kitchen which is standing up well to two cooks working in it.

You guys have an eye for perfection, and most of all clean and tidy workers. The gloss white units mixed with Aubergine and cream to compliment are stunning. Your lighting ideas are beautiful. “Good design, mediocre installation, poor after sales...”

Our new, rather expensive kitchen was installed about 10 years ago - we went for in-toto because of their smart showroom, the sales advice and the design ideas they came up with. And the fact that the cupboards etc were of German manufacture (a sign of good quality or so we thought). Installation was held back 6 weeks because the worktops were delayed due to a port strike in Haifa - who knew they were made in Israel? After a few months the grouting between the worktops started disintegrating (causing moisture to run down into the cupboards below) The guys came out but did nothing about it (apparently the grouting material was no longer available) What this has meant of course is that the worktops have slowly started to 'move' and guess what, the manufacturers no longer exist. But, worst of all, after eight years or so, the kitchen cupboard laminate started to come away from the frame on about 16 of the floor and wall cupboards. No help from the supplier (in-toto) or the manufacturer (their parent company) who hid behind their 'genuine 5 year guarantee' which we discover is probably the worst in the business (most will now give at least 10, if not 15 years, for this sort of deterioration/fault). The manufacturer offered to replace at cost but in-toto wanted to charge for an entire refit, because, guess what, the units were not made anymore and it would be an entire new kitchen. Better to go for the cheap option and replace every few years (we had a quote for a new kitchen with 15 year warranty for ONE QUARTER the price of in-toto). Stay well clear and do not be fooled by the fancy sales pitch.

I’m glad to hear that you opted for an in-toto kitchen because you were impressed with the studio, the designs and advice you were given.

I am, however, sorry you did not feel that the rest of your experience was up to standard. Unfortunately, we cannot always legislate for events beyond our control, such as the Haifa port strike, but we always strive to deliver the best service. in-toto has been established in the UK for 35 years and has a genuine dedication to customers, products and quality. Many of our customers come back to us for another in-toto kitchen twenty or more years later.

Thank you for responding and apologies for the delay in getting back to you, as I have been ill.
The branch we dealt with was Bishop's Stortford and, much as I appreciate your willingness to look into this for us, we have had a long and protacted correspondence with both the staff at Bishop's Stortford and In-toto's Head Office, all without success or satisfaction.
I am quite happy to send this correspondence to you for comment, if you would care to look further into this issue. For your information, the issue with which I take greatest exception is the insistence that In-toto provides a 'genuine' (your words) 5 year guarantee. This is pitiful in today's market where 10-15 year (and longer) guarantees are the norm. But of course, it did not affect my decision much at the time because I did not think we would have the problems we had in such a short space of time.

I'm rather expecting that this will be the outcome for the complaint I have made. A few months after the 5 year guarantee expired the laminate on a unit bubbled, and guess what, was no longer available from the German supplier.5 years life for an expensive kitchen is not acceptable in my opinion.

Hi there. I have no experience with the Leamington branch but was asked to reply to your question. My kitchen makeover was very good from planning stage to the finished item . The kitchen fitter, especially, was absolutely brilliant. Quality of the units and equipment was very high. However( and this is most important) - when I required rectification work( which I expected to pay for as it was a few years after fitting) I was treated as if I didn't exist. Not only did it take weeks to respond to my request, they then just totally ignored me. It took several e- mails to their head office for a reply. Even then they weren't interested in the work. I hope this helps you

We used InToto Horsham and they were great. We are talking about different branches here, but our impression is that all of Intoto UK is good. A new kitchen will always have some small issues to resolve, however, InToto will deal with those that may arise keeping disruption and grief to a minimum.
