Overall I had a great experience with www.appliancesonline.co.uk, the items I purchased were very good value, not the cheapest on the web but not far off. All were in stock and delivered within three days of being ordered. As informed by the sales assistant I received an SMS to day before delivery stating a 4 hour time slot when the items would be delivered. Items were well packed and arrived without any obvious damage.

The only small gripe and I say this is very small was the sales assistance need to try and sell me a "special" warranty cover apparently only available because I'd spent a lot of money. This I have no doubt is offered to all customers and should be offered as such. He seemed a little put out that I did not take it.

Anyway all in all a very good experience and I would not hesitate to recommend these guys if you require a quick, efficient and relatively cheap supplier.

Excellent service - everything happened as promised with delivery and FF now installed and working. Very curteous delivery team and very helpful operator on-line when I called to arrange delivery - especially, perhaps given some earlier comments, to be asked at that stage if this is the product I wanted - e.g. "this is a fridge with a small freezer built-in on-top - is this what you believe you ordered".

The ZANUSSI ZRT318W FF was the cheapest available on-line and it was delivered for free on Sun afternoon !

On this performance applianceonline deserves a better overall rating than 3.5 - but this will follow if they maintain this level of service.

Was impressed when ordering with the range of delivery slots and the fact I could choose which day I wanted delivery on, from next day, all for free (inc weekend delivery). Then got given a 4 hour timeslot for the day of delivery, followed by a call from delivery driver on the morning of delivery to give two hour slot. Could not be more helpful, delivered, unpacked, removed packaging, very polite and pleasant.

Great value, rarely am I impressed with online purchases but Appliances Online have left a very positive impression.

I recently purchased the washer dryer - LG F1403RD6 - for £607.00

I would like to mention that this is the first time I have bought anything from Appliances Online.

To start with, the positives:
Customer services answered promptly, were polite & helpful; order was on time and within agreed time slot; product was cheaper than else where; free delivery.

Negatives were:
Paid for installation, in which the installation chap was not equipped with any tools/parts, and totally incapable of tightening up connections. Resulted in water leaks less than 5 mins after he left from ALL connections/pipes. Luckily he had to leave the machine out because he knocked over a bucket of water so I was able to see the leak! Also, hot water pipe left open. Had to get someone else to put cap on and tighten up connections/pipes.

I think I would use Appliances Online again but I definitely would NOT use their installation service. I think they should change their delivery company - and provide more training to installers.

I am afraid that my first experience of this company has been very very poor. It got off to a good start when I ordered a new cooker with 2 ovens and it was delivered the next day (Tuesday) The problems began when I discovered that despite the fact it had been advertised as having 2 ovens, the product information on the website was incorrect and it only had one oven. After an hour on the phone to Appliances Online and Zanussi they apologised for the website errors and offered to swap it for a Zanussi with two ovens. That was due to be delivered today (Sunday). The delivery van arrived at 8am with the new cooker - but refused to collect the other, wrong, one. Yet more phone calls to Appliances Online have resulted in more apologies that were this time blamed on a "system error". So I now have to take another morning off work tomorrow for them to come and collect what should have been collected today. And, of course, as they dont come with plugs I have no way of knowing if it actually works .....

This is my third bosch washing machine,it is far more versatile than my second one,I like the fact you can put a lightly soiled load in and retrieve it after 15mins,i also like the timer programme and the choice of spins.Another good thing is that when the washing has finished you don't have to wait to open the door.I can,t fault this machine at all,i wouldn't have any other make.

A very effective website. Due to my postcode, weekend deliveries are not possible. Two phone calls placed to the helpdesk about delivery details which would apply if I were to order were dealt with very quickly and in a friendly helpful manner. The company is linked to the Nectarcard system and therefore became my preferred option when several competitors had very similar quotes for price. Because weekend delivery was not available for my postcode it would have been helpful to know a specific delivery time slot before confirming the order in order that arrangements could be made well in advance.

Excellent website, easy to follow and to select a delivery date. Had to join Which magazine for free delivery which was a bit odd, but I did and quite enjoyed the free Which mags but the I cancelled it which was easy to do.

I had a follow up call a few days later to check delivery date and also tried to sell me insurance for breakdown, I declined this but I guess some people want it.

Had a text a couple of days before with exact delivery time and a call an hour before delivery on the day.

Guys cleared away all the packing and fitted the fridge freezer in place.

Item was perfect condition with no scratches or imperections.

Not used it yet so can't comment on product or after sales services should there appear a fault.

So far excellent company to deal with good value for money and will buy from this site again.

I ordered a new cooker recently using the finance system, apparently I did not sign the agreement using the finance so the order was cancelled. Ao.com did not bother to notify me of this. I contacted them and they apologised. If I wanted to reorder the new price was another £30 more, they would not honour the original price. What a disgrace, I am amazed that the reviews rated as high as shown. What should I do?

My experience with AO.com is that for straightforward orders, with no fitting, everything is fine. It is when things get complicated that their service seems to collapse. Ring them again and ask to speak to someone in charge who can resolve your issue. This might work. If the order was cancelled without notifying you then it would seem reasonable for the company to honour the original price. If, however, it was cancelled because of something you did, or didn't do correctly, then you may just have to swallow it. Good luck!

Most manufactures guarantees cover just 12 months, some are 2 years and others can be 5 years parts & labour guarantee. The guarantee is with the manufacturer though, NOT the retailer. My machine broke outside the guarantee period and Hotpoint didnt want to know, but AO.com were extremely helpful when I quoted my right under the Sale of Goods act and they paid for the repair. I highly recommend AO.com.

I can't remember what guarantee was provided, but it will clearly be stated on their website, and I'm sure it's standard stuff. However, I've bought several items from them and none has yet needed any warranty. Prices are good, service is good, products are good. And the founder has just slipped into the Times Super Rich List, so they must be doing well!
