I've had a few problems since buying my herbie. After 4 weeks of use the handle was frequently wobbling and changing height whilst pushing. Took it back to the store and rather than swapping it immediately we were told that we were pushing it in the wrong place! Apparently the prams are tested on a machine before they are sent out and this problem has never been flagged by the machines. I must say that we really have not been happy with the service at Mamas and Papas at all. Felt we had to really argue for a replacement. After some persistance we did get a replacement chassis, but I've since learnt that someone else suffered the same problem with the pram-suggesting that this may be more than a coincidence? The car seat is far too heavy and I have only once used it on the chassis because it's so heavy and awkward to attach that I had to ask a passer by to help. I recently changed to the pushchair mode and after 4 weeks of use the zip attaching the apron has bust. We are receiving a new seat liner, but I find Mamas and Papas aftercare service appaling and very frustrating. Depending who you speak to you get a different answer. In short I would not recommend this pram because of the poor design features and disappointing service from Mamas and Papas.

This pushchair is only suitable if you have a large car, I can never leave it in my car boot as I have to take to parcel shelve out, the right wheel keeps locking which drives me mad, the carry cot slants back which makes my babies face go red unless I put a pillow in it, the carry cot in loose, in all its no way worth over £480, very dissapointed and mamas and papas are useless, they told me the straps that were hanging were for a univeral raincover when they were for securing the carry cot

I would not advise anyone to buy this pram whilst out walking, the chassis snapped in half, my pram is less than 6 months old, my baby ended up on the floor next to a busy main road.

So far dead chuffed with the whole kit. Happy baby sleeps soundly in the car seat (once reclined) and mum loses a bit of leg room in the front but it's worth it to have a safe (and quiet) trip in the car. General comment i guess is try before you buy to check it all fits and that your strong enough to lift it with a baby in it. This should be common sense anyway though?

The pro-sleep car seat for the Ziko Herbie is useless. It doesnt even fit in my Mondeo, one of the most popular family cars on the road. We have twice had M&P try and fit the seat to both our Mondeo and our Panda, and once in it wobbles around really unsecurely. It was even possible to twist it through 90 degrees even though it was in the locked position ! M&P are refusing to make adaptors for Maxi-cosi cabriofix or they're own Primo Viaggio. Apparently the Pro-sleep has been around in Europe for several years now under a different brand and received lots of criticism. We are now currently looking at the Cosatto Cabi instead !

If you want to purchase the Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko pram / pushchair / car seat PLEASE PLEASE try to carry the car seat with a baby in it (or equivalent weight - supposed to be for use up to a year old!?) My baby is 7 weeks old and I am unable to carry the car seat as the weight is unbelievable. The attached stand on the car seat makes lifting in and out of the car, and lifting on and off the wheels impossible. My husband even struggles with it! At the moment we are going through the complaints procedure with Mamas and Papas, as they refused to refund me as there is nothing wrong with the car seat. There is a huge design fault and the safety aspect is that it could easily be dropped. This is my main gripe with this pram (others include - carrycot does not fit securely and is on a slant, the shopping basket can only be used when you lift the carrycot on and off the wheels etc).

We absolutely agree! I wish we had read your review before we took the hasty decision to buy this pram and travel system.
As you say the product seems completely flawed; our carry cot leans at such an angle that we did not feel that it was safe to use it, as our daughter got bigger she was literally sliding down to the foot of the pram!
The weight of the car seat makes it completely impossible for us to carry with an infant inside; I think this product should be re-called.
