“Superb Accident Repair”

★★★★★

written by paultasker6 on 11/12/2019

Nationwide car repairs in Harrogate have just returned my Vauxhaull Viva and I would just like to say they were incredibly professional from start to finish. Straight away at the very first contact I they inspired confidence. I was spoken to with clarity, courtesy and efficiency by their call centre who arranged for the car to be picked up from my home. I was kept fully informed by text and phone calls during the repair and the return of the car was rapid and efficient once again. I was delighted by the quality of the finished repairs and I could not really tell my car had been in an accident at all.

“Nissan quashqai repair”

★★★★★

written by Dcole60 on 11/12/2019

I had my Nissan quashqai repaired, only a small repair but it was dealt with in a very friendly and professional manner. I had my car picked up from my home and given a courtesy car for a few days. I was impressed with every aspect of my care with nationwide repair centre, from the man on the desk through to the delivery driver. I would highly recommend Nationwide repair centre to my family and friends.

“Excellent service & repair”

written by on 11/12/2019

Following damage to my car by the Phantom of the Carpark, my car was booked for bodywork repair at Nationwide in Plymouth by my insurers. My car was collected from my home by very friendly staff. I was kept informed of the progress of the repair with regular text messages. A week after my car was collected it was returned by the same staff. The repair was excellent, no sign of the damage. The car had also been washed & valetted.

As the approved repairers of our Motability insurance company we have had our car repaired twice in the last six months by the St Philips, Bristol workshop. The first repair earlier this year took a lot longer than we would have hoped or expected but our recent experience was first class in terms of time taken, contact with NCRC and the quality of their work undertaken.

I can't thank Nationwide Daventry enough for their excellent service both for the repairs they did to my Yaris but also the first class admin. Especially the help and understanding I received after I'd wrongly told them to fill my petrol driven car with Diesel. Thanks especially to the two ladies I dealt with.

“very long wait”

★★☆☆☆

written by Hoganch191 on 06/12/2019

The reception staff were polite and the car was finished well. However, it took two weeks longer than predicted: it would be useful to give a best case-worst case scenario rather than just telling customers the quickest time it might take. Then customers can plan accordingly and arrange alternative transportation. It would also be helpful if the garage clarified what makes of cars they actually have parts and/or expertise for, and when they're likely to have to send it off to another garage for certain repairs/parts.

Brilliant Team at Kings Lynn (from the time of no fault accident on 21st Nov 2019) to telephone call and following day collection of car. Collection driver very friendly and helpful gave me some paper work with web pages to how to get updates on what repair stage, that car was in (didn't use this as was getting lots of updates via telephone calls and texts - Thank you). Call from a guy on Monday 25th November with regards to what will be happening with car and then many texts to say parts ordered - stripping car etc. Call from Lady at Kings Lynn (sorry forgot her name) 4th December reference returning Car, returned 5th December between 8am - 12pm car arrived at 11.45am, was really impressed by repair and helpful delivery driver who informed me that the work was guaranteed for as long as I owned car. Cant thank the Team at Kings Lynn enough even down to the smallest detail like my boot lid protection strip amazing.

“You'd never know”

★★★★★

written by threepence on 26/11/2019

My wife, in our Toyota Yaris, recently had the misfortune to meet with a muntjac one dark night resulting in a disfigured front 'fairing'*** to the vehicle.. At first it looked to be little damage but in the light of day the 'fairing' had disconnected with the adjacent body panels and was found to be split. Nationwide Gladwins have now invisibly repaired the fairing, fitted a new foglight and replaced the parking sensor. The repaint is such a good match that it is impossible to tell there was ever any damage, so overall I am very pleased. The vehicle was picked up and re-delivered thus saving me a lot of hassle. I would thoroughly recommend Nationwide Gladwins for any repair work. I have no information on costs so am unable to comment on 'Value for Money' below *** the front offside corner of the car, below the headlight

Our car had minor damage in an insurance claim accident. Nationwide contacted us after we had reported this to our insurer, within a couple of hours. They brought our replacement car to the house and took ours away for the repair. It was returned a week later. Throughout this they kept in touch with us to tell us of progress. The technicians did a great job of work, and the individuals who took the car away and then brought it back we’re both very helpful and friendly. This is what great service should be like!

“Excellent Service”

I was really worried that my insurance company assigned this garage to fix my car after reading bad reviews on trustpilot however all my fears proved to be unfounded. The Slough branch fixed my car and the only hold up to the repair was the inability of my insurance company to find a suitable adapted hire car for me to use whilst mine was being repaired. The garage were really understanding and happily postponed collection of my vehicle until I had the courtesy car. Once they collected my car they kept me updated with a phone call after the damage had been assessed and then the progress of the repairs via text message. All in all the repairs took just under three weeks. I got a call to say that the car was ready at 4.30pm on Friday afternoon and it was delivered to my address at 8am the next morning.

After my vehicle stalled in a flood it was taken to Nationwide fearing it would be written off. But I was called saying that being a week after the incident it had dried out, was checked, taken for a run and returned to me with no cost. This sort of honesty and good will is rare these days. I will use Nationwide from here on if needed.

“Terrible, Damaged My Car”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Snowy54321 on 15/11/2019

Car was sent in by insurance company for a repaint to scratch on front bumper due to third party reversing in to car. The car was collected from our home and thoroughly checked by 2 employees of the repair shop and marked with all the other existing marks that would not have been caused by the bump. Paperwork to show existing marks was signed and car taken. Our car was returned 4 days later with a lovely repair job to the bumper, however a new very noticeable deep scratch about 100mm long had appeared on the rear of the car. We checked their document with the pre-existing marks prior to repair and it was not on there. After numerous calls to the Repair shop (who hardly ever answers calls and emails) and calls to our insurance company they have told us that the the repair center will have to rectify the issue, but they are not contacting us to arrange. We are now over 3 weeks after the car was returned and still waiting. Absolutely shocking customer service.

“Very good service”

★★★★☆

written by Trucker4 on 13/11/2019

Overall the service I received from the Dumfries branch was very good. The only issue I had was due to the filthy state of the initial courtesy car which was quickly dealt with and a suitable replacement was delivered to me the following day. My own car was repaired and ready a day earlier than planned.

Report this content Striker141 Written on: 12/05/2016
All branches operate under the same ownership, it would not make any difference which branch you go to. They use cheap copy parts and are not equivalent to genuine parts for the price I was charged to restore my car from nationwide I could have had my car repaired with genuine parts. They just fixed one side of my bumper rather than taking the bumper off and fixing it back onto both bumper brackets, one side of my bumper looks out of place, absolutely awful service and they refused to fully fix my bumper, they ripped me off!
Report this content NationwideRepairs Written on: 27/05/2016
We would just like to clarify the following: When authorised to do so by the customer's insurance company, we will use OEM parts. In accordance with our agreements with insurance companies, we will, where possible, repair rather than replace. However, if the finished repair is not expected to be to our normal high standards then we will request authorisation to replace any necessary parts.

I have had repairs carried out by Nationwide in Norwich twice. My own experience has been nothing but positive. The repairs have been outstanding. In both cases you were unable to see where the damage had been. The respray had matched with no colour difference as far as I could make out. Not sure if original or not and I expressed my concerns direct with them as our car was a mercedes. Job completed professionally and efficiently with as little inconvenience to us as possible.

The car was returned to me with a radiator that hadn't been replaced and was leaking everywhere and to top it all they broke my wing mirror. Avoid at all costs is all I would say as I would never trust them to repair my car again
Report this content NationwideRepairs Written on: 23/10/2014
It will depend on your Insurance Company and their policy as to whether genuine or non genuine parts are used. As regards repairing or replacing the dent in your wheel arch - this will depend on the amount of damage. We would normally prefer to repair rather than replace as we get tend to get a better overall finish, however, if a replacement body panel is required then of course we will replace it rather than repair. I hope this information helps!

Does anyone know what the warranty procedure is for repairs done by my local branch of Nationwide? My wife and I have been trying (over several visits) to get the local branch to check why my air-conditioning - which was repaired by them - is not working anymore. It is within the 1 year warranty, and we feel that our issue is not being looked into at all. I've now gone to the local Toyota dealer, spent about £60, and they have checked and said the problem is with the same pipe that Nationwide was supposed to have fixed. Needless to say, we are not happy with the service from the local branch of Nationwide. I was just with them about 20 minutes ago, and they have asked me to provide the report that Toyota dealer has provided, and they would contact them directly. Not sure exactly why. I would have thought the normal warranty procedure would be for Nationwide to check where the leak is and if it's the same pipes then they would simply fix the problem. We look forward to your reply. Thanks.

Can you please let me know which centre you are dealing with so I can look into the matter? We provide a warranty on all our repairs and so if the pipe which we fitted has now failed due to a fault with the pipe or the fitting, we will of course replace it. However, we will need to ascertain what exactly is wrong and the cause of the failure. From the information you have provided, my guess is that the person you spoke to at the repair centre felt it would be sensible to speak to the Toyota garage seeing as they have already inspected your vehicle. However, until I know which centre you are dealing with I can only assume this is the case. Please rest assured we will do all we can to help you get this matter resolved. If you can provide the centre details that will help me to find out more information, thank you.
