“Fantastic starter, first time every time, if freezing...”

Fantastic starter, first time every time, if freezing cold or mildly warm it's still just one press of the button and away she goes. I live in Oxford uk and I picked up the bike about 100 miles away and I must say I had a great time riding back. Well I could write a book on the good points alone so best now I stop and go riding. A good all rounder wouldn't swap her for the world (or the bike).

Looks like a version of the GS125 engine. Very smooth and sweet, and easy to handle and manoevre. Good looking bike of its' type. Very good value for money. A smashing introduction to motorcycling on a budget without having to buy a well-used Japanese bike for the same money.

I've only had my Huoniao HN125 for a week but as it goes its an absolutely awesome bike. It starts every morning no problem and gets me to work. all in all its an absolutly great bike and is a really good starter 125. it just needs a few ajustments to make it perfect. But then again nothing is perfect.

written by chrisdd on 20/06/2008

I think its a good bike, I insured this with Rampdale for £275 but this price was because it was not registered, max speed (the fastest I have every been on it before I ran out of road) 65mph which is okay I suppose. Overall 9/10 due to the side stand.

I am 48 years old and i bought my bike last september. I disconnected the sidestand switch by connecting the red wires together. It has work well all the time, ad it starts wel aesily every time.
My Huoniao has different colouring from those sold in Britain. I also installed windscreen and box painted same colours. Huoniao is funny bike with this red star. I paid 900 euros, previous owner had driven 1200 km.
Good thing where i am living (Tampere) is that Motorpower has very good service part stock and i can allways ask for advice.

★★★★★

I live in the UK and I've had this bike for over a year and a half and love it. It looks bigger than a 125 and has good street cred. I polish it once a month and have no rust at all, it looks almost as good as new even though I keep it outdoors (under a cover). It always starts right away even when I haven't used it for a couple of weeks. Because I ran it in properly, mine does an indicted 65MPH top speed on five star petrol, which is pretty decent for a 4 stroke 125 cruiser. A good machine for learners or commuters, or as a fun bike.

This Huoniao HN125 has so far been an endless stream of stress and frustration, a drain on my money and finding spare parts is near impossible.

★★★★★

written by robwillp on 19/01/2008

Mine has done 8600km (about 5200 miles) with the most major failures being an indicator switch which was immediately replaced under warranty by my dealer, and a fuse that blew because a wire had shorted in the headlamp assembly (my fault as I had replaced the original headlamp assembly) It's never let me down yet, is good on fuel (about 325km) on a full tank. Also gets lots of interest as it looks good with all the chrome. The bike is a copy of a Honda CM125C, I know as I own one, some of the bodywork etc. will interchange between the two but the engine is twin exhaust version of Honda's CG 125 engine that the builders have copied.
Generally very happy with my £900 buy, the dealer sorted assembly, registration, etc. so all I had to do was insure it.

The only major design flaw I can find is the metal spark plug cap, and the side stand switch connector, but keep them covered in waxoil or similar and they will be fine.

All in all a great first bike.

“I love this bike, a Chinese copy of a Honda CM125...”

★★★★☆

written by elvgren on 27/12/2007

I love this bike, a Chinese copy of a Honda CM125 Exclusive and apart from the well known problems with the sidestand connecter its a great bike. Also for the mechanically minded can be bought boxed on an online auction site very cheaply but go to a dealer if your not blessed with mechanical competence.

If buying one get rid of the sidestand switch cut out connecter under the bike which is in a silly place, it will fail, but once you sort that it will be an excellent 125 it should serve you well. Also lots of chrome to clean, but hey dont buy it if you dont like cleaning chrome.

I only rate it down to 8 due to the sidestand problem and lack of power.
