I needed prints for my photography course homework, as my home printer is very bad so having seen the instore photo processing at my local Tesco I thought I'd give it a go. The instant print terminals were out of service which wasn't good as I didn't want to wait an hour but the consoles in store were easy to use. I had already cropped my photos so just needed them printed 7x5.
The biggest problem I had was that the colours didn't render properly, the greens were very very yellow and this ruined some shots, I will agree with the other reviewers that the images so look very soft and lack detail.
I had some of the same images printed at Jessops today and I can confirm that the greens have come out perfectly and the details in my images. I would not recommend getting your photos printed here, except maybe black and white images! I would go to Jessops or another retailer.

Fantastic quality prints - good price and with clubCard points too! Even got free delivery to my local Tescos. Theyve converted me from snapfish - great

cheap and easy to upload and collect from local store but dreadful quality - got them all reprinted with snapfish and much better results. pay a few extra pence per photo and use a different service

Terrible service, do not use! Didnt receive email to tell me product was ready for collection. They quoted incorrect store on website that product was being delivered to, therefore had to ring around stores to try and find out where exactly it had gone. Spoke to customer support 3 times and they were not very helpful. They told me the person I need to speak to was on lunch and to try and call again later. Only good thing about it was the product itself, but they really need to improve their customer service and communication.

Fantastic quality - didnt think my camera would make such nice prints. Will go again soon as hvae some summer parties coming up. The software on the screen was pretty simple to use i got stuck a but but the staff were really helpful and you can even zoom in on your photos.

found the photo shop in my local Tesco and the staff there were really great. I'm not really up on using my digital camera but they helped me get prints of the best pics and they were ready for me to collect once i'd finished my shopping.

Tried Tesco's 40 free prints offer to try them out. They offer a 1 hour service if you upload at home and collect in the shop. Very disappointed and would go back to Jessops or Photobox/Boots next time. Poor colour (greens in landscape shots came out very yellow), poor definition (photos all have a soft-focus look) and very heavy cropping which ruined some pictures (I'd uploaded pics cropped at 6x4 so no additional cropping should have been necessary). Website has a quick upload tool but this only works with Internet Explorer for Windows - I use Mac (or Firefox on my Windows laptop).

I HAD ORDERED PHOTOS ONLINE AS I WAS MAKING A SCAPBOOK FOR MY DAUGHTERS 18 BIRTHDAY AND WAS TRYING TO GET IT DONE WHILE SHE WAS ON HOLIDAY. I ORDERED OVER 150 PHOTOS AND GOT OFFER PRICE OF 3P A COPY. ON SITE STATED WOULD TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS. DID NOT ARRIVE AND STATUS SHOWED 'BEING PROCESSED'. I E-MAILED THEM AND REPLY STATED THAT COULD TAKE UP TO 10 DAYS. 10 DAYS PASSED AND STILL NO PHOTOS SO E-MAILED AGAIN AS BY THIS TIME TOO LATE FOR WHAT I WAS WANTING THEM FOR. WAS TOLD THAT THE PROCESSING COMPANY WAS RUNNING BEHIND DUE TO THE SPECIAL OFFER AND THAT THEY HADN'T YET BEEN PROCESSED. WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH SERVICE ESPECIALLY FOR REASON I WANTED PHOTOS. WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED FROM THEM IF IT HAD STATED 'UP TO 10 DAYS' IN FIRST PLACE. GOT APOLOGY AS '10 DAY' INFOGIVEN WAS INCORRECT AND REFUND FOR HALF OF COST.

I'm a photographer putting on my first exhibition, and decided to use Tesco Photo for my prints, as I've used them before, and was happy with their quality.
The exhibition was to be on the 28th of October, and so about a month before the exhibition I placed my first order for prints, and waited for delivery. A week later I was told one of the files uploaded was corrupted, and so they cancelled the entire order. Fortunately I'd given myself a month to get the prints done for exactly this eventuality. I re-uploaded the corrupt image, and placed another order.
On the next order, a different image was corrupt, even though I'd already submitted exactly the same set of files. After two or so hours of calls to Tesco Customer support, who were occasionally rude and often unhelpful I finally managed to find someone who said they'd look into it. His advice was to reupload all the images, which I did. I then placed another order, split in two this time, figuring I could at least get some of the images.
A week later, on the 21st of October, half the photos arrived. I called to ask about the whereabouts of the others, and was told 'they'd been dispatched'. Later that day I received an email saying there was a problem with the order. Calling back, I discovered that the order had never been printed, nevermind dispatched. I was told at first that the image file had a virus (which was near impossible), or that a virus had entered the file as it was uploaded (also impossible).
Worst of all, I was informed that Tesco knew of the error a week ago, on the 13th of October. There was no indication of this anywhere on the website, nor was I informed when I called to enquire about the prints.
To add insult to injury, many of the photos never arrived, 'lost in the post,' although I wouldn't be surprised if they were lost somewhere in Tesco's incompetence.
I've now had to pay a very expensive, local print service a lot of money to get my prints done as a rush job. Don't trust Tescos if you want something on time and without hassle. I'm just glad these weren't for some special occasion, like some poor guy's wedding or something similar.

Tesco Photo Centre Developing say that your photos will be ready in 24 hours from the local store, but (you need to read the small print after you've paid) they can and will take a week to process an order, much quicker going into the shop and getting them to do it themselves.

Prints were not as they look when I used Tesco Photo Centre Developing. Colours are wrong and images looked quite smudged and as if they had a lot of noise in the photos even though they had no noise when printed on my home photo printer. As my Tesco store does not have a photo printing service instore they sent mine off suppose to be a 2 day service and it took 5 days on top of this when my prints came back they sent me back the wrong memory card they sent me a 1GB memory stick pro duo and i gave them a 2GB memory stick pro card that has a converter. I am now waiting hoping to get my card back with my holiday pictures on all 219 of them. If they don't i will be demaning compensation for the cost of them memory card which at the time costed £45. Plus my memory card is now in the hands of an unauthorised person who could use and distribute my images witohut my consent under copyright. I will never use Tesco again and just hope i get m card back.
