My 2 year old son a huge luna jim fan was brought iTeddy by a friend at christmas., we where at my mums house My son fell in love with it taking it to bed christmas night watching the built in 3 cartoons .... as he did on the car journey all the way home.
When we did return home, It took a matter of Hours until my husband had converted 20 episodes of luna jim recorded from telly on the pc, and put them all on I-teddy without the need for anything extra than what came in the Box.
My son was completely Made up and takes his Iteddy to bed every night, and has been a god send for those long car journeys....
I highly recommend the I-Teddy to anyone who has been suck in a traffic jam on the M25 for hrs with a toddler that cant afford a Flash in car DVD player (like us...) the only down side we have found so far is having to redo the sleep function every time u turn it on, but other than this I adore the I-teddy.

After seeing this on Dragons Den, I was excited about the iTeddy coming into production. I bought one for my son 2 weeks before christmas. I opened it to put some video's and pictures on it so he'd have something to look at on Christmas day, however the buttons kept freezing.
Very disappointed - I returned it to Argos for a replacement. Unfortunately I've had the same problems with the replacement, though they were delayed and only occured after christmas. Also - even after converting 2 video's on the "iTeddy" converter - they still wouldn't play when I put them on my iTeddy. My son loved it so much that I've allowed him to keep it until tonight when absolutely no buttons are working and it is completely stuck. So I'm off to Argos tomorrow to find a new present for my son.....
I'm so disappointed with this product as it is such a lovely concept, I think they brought it out too quickly and can't understand why on earth they didn't realise there was a severe problem with these teddys.

Absolute load of rubbish. We loved the idea so bought one for our daughter for Xmas.
I tried it before Xmas and it didn't seem right but I put it down to not reading the manual properly.
However, once I got a chance, I started to try and put some photos, video and music on. Could only get music and one photo on. Everything else "vanished".
Tried to load stuff from the website: tells you to use the downloader. That's a whole load of hassle itself!
I would explain but I've realised I've already wasted too much of my life on it!
It's going back to Argos tomorrow. However, I don't have the box, so we may be in for some arguments. Obviously I don't want an exchange.
Refund please!

Sister bought 3 of these as xmas presents loved the idea of them but they don't work properly for adults so children have no chance. Frozen screens, buttons not working properly( can't switch songs on, get them on can't switch them off aaahhhh!!!) Loved the idea so much we took them back and got replacement's same thing happened with all six. Sorry guys definitely design fault some where along the line. Very disappointed.

I loved the idea of iTeddy so when I bought one for my niece for Xmas I thought I should have a look first.
When I opened the box I was disappointed to say the least. The cheap look and build quality of the toy was apparent from the off - it looked like some cheap knock off.
I am technologically minded but found the menu system confusing, slow and infuriating to use.
I paid £30 for this rubbish in the special Xmas offer from Argos in the knowledge that it normally retails at £60. Having had a look at it first hand I dont think it is even worth £10!
I'm glad Argos have a money back guarantee that's all I can say!
Don't waste your time and get your child a good toy instead.

I tried very hard to research reviews about the iTeddy before buying it for my kiddo's Christmas, and there were very few user reviews, which is why I'm posting my experience.
After a few hours of charging, we excitedly switched it on, only to see a screen with 'boot error - shutting down'. I spent a lot of Christmas day with this toy. For about 5 minutes it did show the screen with choices - I think there were music, video, photos etc etc. During this time, I plugged the teddy into my laptop. It recognised that there was another drive but wouldn't let you open the drive without installing a disk......
The converter software seemed to work well as it converted a couple of home movies. I will only know if it did it properly when we have a working unit to try it on.
My daughter doesn't think much of Santa as he sends faulty toys.....
I'm waiting for the iTeddy people to send me a new unit like they said they would. Hopefully I can then add another review if the final working product is any better.

I tried in vain to get 'homemade' *.avi or *.wmf files to play on iTeddy - it simply doesn't recognise these formats (which play perfectly on my other portable devices). Is this a sinister attempt to force me to download iTeddy content or is the product malfunctioning? Either way - it's going back to the shop. I would have expected the iTeddy to be more compatible with different video formats.

On the whole I would not even buy this for my worst enemies as it is that rubbish.

I was skeptical in the first place but my daughter was bought one for her birthday. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I shouldn't have. It's a piece of rubbish. Made in china and it's very obviously the commercial version of what was once possibly a good idea.
It's hard to make work and you'll need more than a basic knowledge of computing to get it up and running.
Save yourself a whole lot of aggro and avoid this. Maybe in a few years they'll get it right but I suspect they'll be out of business first. Dragons? Donkeys more like....

The iTeddy has a large capacity for videos and mp3s, It had an SD card slot for more capacity. Cute and cuddly and the media player is protected by the Teddy bear. It comes with software to convert video to iteddy files.
My daughter loves her iteddy to watch her favorite programs on and with a 2gig card inserted it can fit hours upon hours of video, songs and photos. I may buy another for my other daughter.
