“Excellent Service”

I placed an order with Amazon, something I do on a regular basis, and was surprised to receive a message informing me of exactly when my item would arrive, i.e. the time (a two hour slot) and the date. I received a further phone call on the day telling me that the package was on its way and would be with me within half an hour which it was. The two gentlemen who delivered could not have been more polite or friendly. So many delivery companies knock and run and rarely arrive when they say they are going to. I've read some terrible review on this company but it certainly wasn't my experience. Thank you HDNL!

“Liars”

I ordered a 10kg bag of cat food as, starting tomorrow, I am working 12 hour shifts over the bank holiday weekend and won't be able to get to the shops. I paid £8.00 for the delivery and waited in for the package today as arranged. They deliver between 8am and 9pm so when my package hadn't arrived by 8.30pm I contacted Amazon as there are no details for HDNL on the site. I was advised that the driver had been and left a card because no one was in. This is a lie, No one came, no one knocked, no one used the doorbell and there is no card. I checked my letter box, my porch, outside my porch, my driveway and I checked with my neighbours. No card was left as no delivery driver came. It is only when I searched for HDNL online that I realised the company is yodel. So I called yodel, but their customer service centre closes at 9pm. The only option was to reschedule the delivery but as the last parcel I recieved (12L cat litter) was slung through my porch window which is 7ft up and landed on my plant pots, (courtesy of Royal Mail delivery) I don't hold much hope for a trouble free delivery, and if the delivery driver decides they can't be bothered to deliver my parcel again I won't know about it until I get in from work which will be after 9pm tomorrow and the customer service centre will be closed again.

“digusting”

I bought a bed from carpet right told delivery 3-5 weeks ,10 days later got a text from these waste of spaces to confirm delivery 2 days later , so rang them to make sure the time scale was right as we WORK,,,, was told they couldn't rely on it but would try ( joke), day after and this is the day before delivery received another text time for delivery was between 10am n 1pm the exact times we were not in , to cut a long story short dont EVER use them there customer services are diabolical, they leave an answer phone message on when closed stating they are open 9am - 5pm so why then do they still not answer phone at 9-15 and the answer phone is still on , and to top it all off when you do manage to speak to 1 of them they talk to you like something on the bottom of their shoe !!!!! THINK THEY NEED TO GO LEARN SOME PEOPLE SKILLS and to remember its people like me paying their wages , would never ever use this slack setup company again , oh and by the way because of your disgusting people skills I have no bed to sleep on tonight not that it would bother you because you do not care a damn , DISGUSTING !!!!!!!!!!

“Absolute waste of time”

These idiots claim to have tried to deliver a parcel to my house today, stating no access to property as the reason for not delivering! My front door exits straight out on to the pavement, no front garden, no locked gate. The contact centre is a waste of time. They claim the driver scanned the parcel outside my house at 10:30. At 10:30, I was outside my house in the street, so I know this is not true. If I had a choice in who I had parcels delivered by, this bunch of idiots would not even get on the list. I would rather walk the length and breadth of the country myself, than have them in the process! I would not have ordered from the shop, had I of known they would use yodel as their delivery provider. Complaints have been lodged.

“Package missing/Rude customer service”

Ive ordered a package from Amazon - the day before the delivery Ive called HDNL customer service to agree a suitable time. First the lady couldn't find either my package/my address/my post code/my name. Nothing!After 15 minutes on the phone she finally found it and confirmed delivery on the following day in the morning. Ive called HDNL in the morning as delivery didn't happen and a guy answered the phone and again he couldn't find my package/my address/tracking number (while on their web site it was working) and told me there was no delivery for me! When I complained about the service he said the line was bad and hung up! Then I called Amazon to complain about their carrier and HDNL told Amazon they attempted delivery the day before which is not true and they didn't leave any note. They are clearly liars, unprofessionals, I still didn't get my package and I don't know if I will. I can't believe Amazon chose them as couriers for their deliveries. TO AVOID!!

“Avoid like the plague”

I ordered a phone through an online dealer not realizing the express (the next option I was given above the standard Free 2 - 4 day delivery) delivery service I paid for was HDNL. If I had know this I would of totally avoided or conttaced the company to find out if there were other more expensive but reliable delivery options. Their tracking system is total junk as I have been seeing the same message "Order Generated" for more than 24 hrs and to be honest this doesn't mean a thing to me. Has it been collected ? Is it sat waiting for collection ? If its collected where in their system is it. And the 1 - 2 days delivery schedule you pay for will always be the latter an the good will never arrive at the earliest stated time. Or at least this has ALWAYS been my experience when waiting for anything they deliver. From now on I will endevour to find out which courier any online retailer I purchase things from use before buying and find out if there are other options available as this company just sucks big time !

“Worst delivery company ever?”

I can't think of anything positive about them. They lose packages. They deliver packages without getting signature. They throw parcels in properties when nobody answers. Or they hand them to the neighbours. Or leave parcels unattended by the door. They don't leave notes. They even deliver the wrong parcel after re-labeling them! I can't think of a worse delivery company. Then to make things worse, they're difficult to reach. And not helpful anyway. Poor performance, poor customer service. I am amazed that they're still in business and that so many national postal services subcontract with them. Avoid at all cost would be my advice.

“very disappointed Grandson”

A Christmas present was ordered on 19th Dec from Amazon and I paid for 1 day delivery. Tracking shows a tour of depots in completely the wrong direction (now removed from website) and being despatched from Sheffield on 21st Dec. Since then it has disappeared. Amazon refunded next day delivery charge. Since then no communication from either company. I gave them a 1 star rating only because I can't give it zero.

Why Amazon use this company is beyond me? I have complained many times to them and always get the same answer... 'We will contact the courier and assure you the service will be improved'? That was 2 years ago... still the same.

“Lie about no one were home”

3 out of 5 time I order from amazon they use this rubbish to deliver my items, and in this 3 deliveries 2 of which will be delayed no matter I paid for next day delivery. They said they had try to deliver but no one was home, which is a lie as I stayed home all day! Rubbish and avoid.

Chose Amazon next day delivery through Prime, at 21:00 on the guaranteed delivery day, there online tracking states it has been delivered to the customer, but no sign of the parcel at my door or any of the neighbours. God knows where my parcel is, why does Amazon still insist on using Yodel. The customers are clearly not happy with their delivery service :@

“£200 of goods left with a neighbour but no card...”

I bought some goods with Amazon with One Day delivery. I come home to find no parcel, no card - nothing. I tracked it on the Amazon site and it tells me it is Delivered. At this point I tried some of my neighbours and it turned out one of them had it. Why is it so difficult to put a card through the door?!?

They have a very large turnover of drivers, who are under immense pressure to deliver on time... the drivers are treated like dirt and most fail to return to work, hence why the late deliveries? Vans sitting at depots waiting to go out and no drivers!

“YODEL, the courier con-men from hell”

Having had a series of delivery disasters, I NEVER buy anything from a company that uses Yodel. Unfortunately I recently bought a high value items form an ebay seller who used "Collect Plus" to organise the delivery... and they sub-contract to Yodel. Unsurprisingly I have had the usual problems. Having called AND used the website to arrange a specific day they then failed to deliver (waited in all day until 21:00). They then claimed that they had failed to deliver (strange... not card!) and that I would have to travel from London to to collect from their South London depot.Even though their own website shows that they have failed they cannot organise a delivery. They promised at 09:10 today that a Senior Manager would call me back... it is now 18:43 and I am still waiting. What are the odds that anyone will call? Zero I reckon. I am now contacting the vendor and paypal to get a refund. Poor ebayer will get a negative review. So whatever you do NEVER use Yodel and insist that whenever you order something that the retailer confirms that they are not using Yodel. BTW if you want a laugh at some really poor fiction, read some of the "positive" Yodel postings on Trustpilot. Worthy of a Booker Prize.

“Arrived as promised”

Ordered from Amazon for delivery within 2 days. It arrived at 18:30 on the 2nd day as promised. Amazon offer a text trak n trace which didn't send any SMS message. Yodel van, polite and efficient driver. The limited track and trace web feature does not give you an arrival window. Some deliveries I get from other couriers arrive before 2pm. I'll know what to expect next time, though I would probably pay the extra for the delivery by Royal Mail...

“worst delivery company around”

STAY CLEAR. This delivery company is the worst around. I was told I would be getting a parcel delivered by hdnl on tuesday so I made a point on taking that day off from work. When I arrived home on the monday I went into hdnl website and tracked my parcel to find out that it had been delivered when I was at work. The driver just left my £100 parcel on my doorstep in full view of everybody walking or driving past. Although on hdnl website it said the driver lleft it in my shed which I dont have but when I got home there was no parcel. The driver seems to think that if he takes it out his van and nobody is in then its not getting put back in.

“HDNL - customer service at it's worst.”

Oh if only it were possible to give a no-stars rating. Customer service is obviously not a priority for this company. I ordered a product through Amazon ( who although helpful when I phoned them to report non-delivery are also partly covered by the red mist which has descended because they continue to use this shower). The time slot for my delivery was confirmed on Wednesday as between 7.30-11.30 am on Thursday. So far so good. Not experiencing any delivery problems from Amazon before I was confident that my goods would arrive by 11.30. However 11.30 came and went with no sign of a delivery. The tracking facility on both websites was showing that my parcel was out for delivery so I decided to cut them a bit of slack. Needless to say the parcel never arrived. A phone call to Amazon confirmed that they had been unable to find my address. Funny that, Royal Mail never seem to have any problem. The thing that annoyed me the most was the fact that I never received a phone call to say that they couldn't find me, I wouldn't mind but I live within the sound of Big Ben, not exactly hard to find! This story is to be continued, Amazon have asked them to re-deliver today but I'm not banking on it. I have been told to expect a phone call confirming but I intend to call them first to find out what's going on, if they mess me about today I am cancelling my order and Amazon will have lost a customer. Not that they care I shouldn't think. Don't use this company if you want your goods to turn up on time or if you like customer service that at least meets the call of duty. In summary, you'd be better getting Postman Pat to deliver your stuff.
