I've never written a review for a courier service before but after countless terrible experiences I've had with HDNL or so called YODEL, I was determined to write a review so other customers won't fall in to them just like me. I made an order with the Disney store on line and I was texted the item would be delivered on certain date and the Disney store sent me an e-mail with a link to track the order so did I tracked at the end of the day since I haven't received it and it said they tried to deliver but there was no body at the address and left a card which is a lie. I was there waiting for the order all day no one showed up or no cards were left so I picked up the phone to their customer service on the following day and explained them the situation but by the time I call it was already again on the van for redelivery but this time they tried to deliver and left a card. They did apologized for that though I asked them not to redeliver it again as I already have had bad experiences with their service before and I told them to leave a note for the depot and that I'll come and collect the item on the next day. As I told them I was gonna go to the depot on the next day but just thought of tracking the order before I leave to the depot and guess what those dumb as*** put my order back on the delivery van to be delivered again so I called their customer service again asked them what should I do now though I had to have on that day and if I don't get on that it was useless for me anyway and they said as it's already been loaded to the van and the van has left the depot they can't do nothing about it and asked me wait until it get delivered and I waited and waited never turned up again so I traced the order again and what was on the website surprised me! guess what it said, it was mentioned the item has been delivered to the customer, I was waiting for the courier to call up even having all my appointments cancelled on that day because it was so important for me to get my order on that day. What I don't understand is? first of all they lied about trying to deliver and after that they got the address right and left a card because they couldn't deliver and the then they delivered the item to elsewhere which had the same address when they left a card on their first attempt. The verdict is I never got the item I ordered and HDNL or so called YODEL suck at what they do and I am so utterly disgusted about it :( just a friendly suggesion to my fellow customers and businesses please don't use them for your courier service and get disappointed or businesses don't loose your trust on you by your valuable customers loose your profits because of a lame ars* company like HDNL/ YODEL NB: I don't like to swear but these countless bad experiences made me use my French and I do apologise for that but don't regret it one bit. PS: I'll never order anything from any business who use HDNL/ YODEL as their courier ever again and if it's gonna cost me more, let it, but I'm not ready to be let down time and time again and I am intend to write the same review every where I possibly could just make people aware how dodgy are these ***** ...

Deliveries from Amazon have been late or lost more than half a dozen times with this company. They lie about delivery and deliver things days after the supposed guaranteed date. If you can avoid using them do so at all costs.

Virgin Media sent me a Super Hub via HDNL (HDN-Hell should be their name) it was supposed to arrive Tuesday 7th May between 10AM-2PM. It didn't arrive within that time-frame, so I had to wait in until 9 o'clock in the evening. HDNL failed to deliver the Super Hub, not only that, when I contacted HDNL Customer Service to report their delivery failure - they lied to me, saying the delivery driver attempted delivery at half past 6 in the evening? and he posted a calling card through my letterbox?!?! I checked my CCTV at the front and rear of my property to see if arrived. But you've guessed it... no body was on CCTV, and no card was posted...WTF are HDNL smoking???? HDNL said "redelivery would be attempted again Wednesday, but I would have to stay in my house till 9 o'clock in the evening again as they could not give me an exact time of delivery" I work very long night shifts, so 2 full days waiting-in isn't good for me. HDNL finally made the delivery on Wednesday late evening. Seriously, this company is an absolute disgrace to the delivery system! I will try my utmost to avoid Retailers that use HDNL, because they're the worst courier in the History of the United Kingdom!! Avoid!!

I hardly know where to begin with this company. How could anyone with an iota of self-respect work for those clowns? To begin with, when they foul up a delivery, or, as in my case claim they made two deliveries at the same time then demand that I go to their depot some 30 miles away to collect the parcel, which they said they would leave with a neighbour but did not, I cannot find a way to speak to a real person to rectify the situation. Craftily, I thought, I tried to ring the Reading depot but they have cut off all the numbers. So then I tried Liverpool. Hung on for ages to no avail. I even rang their press office. Ditto. So I am going to suggest to Which that they do an investigation on Yodel and hope they reform or go under. I have no problems with the Royal Mail, DHL, FedEx. But Yodel? They should be run out of business.

The group of people which are brainless , I bought something on Internet and chosen next day delivery, they have been delivery to the wrong address twice and third time left a voice mail on my phone with a blocked number, said "your delivery is here" and there is no one there, its ridiculous, we are retail shop on the high street, they just can't find it. Also there is no contact number or even an email on their website, if you want contact them, you need write a letter ! Remember, there are doing delverys for most online business,

It feels like HDNL have been ganged up on here! The internet is all well and good as a place for people to spout off when something goes wrong, but do they ever come on here and say when they have done something right? I am working 2000 miles away from home at the moment so ordered a Valentines Gift from Moonpig (Flowers, Chocolate, Balloon and Card) for my Girlfriend to get delivered to her office today. After seeing the horror stories on this site I thought the worst. However, at 12.20pm today, the gift box arrived with her in perfect condition! Top knotch service HDNL! Seems all the complaints for HDNL are linked to Amazon has anyone ever thought it could be due to the systems integration between Amazon and HDNL giving incorrect information?

Quite wrong I'm afraid. While most my deliveries were for Amazon, I've had HDNL foisted on me over several different retailers, and they've been equally appalling each time. They've failed to deliver entirely on about 10 percent of occasions, delivery has taken two or more 'attempts' (usually no card left) more than 60 percent of the time, and I cant recall a single time the packaging wasn't damaged, often to the point of being torn open and taped up - I've refused to sign on 5 or 6 occasions. Driver can't find the house? Only HDNL have ever managed this.
Credit where its due; DPD are great as usually are Royal Mail - I don't even have an axe to grind with City Link. But 'unprofessional' doesn't even begin to describe HDNL.

Integration fault my Ar*e They were two days late with my delivery. When I complained they told me the driver had attempted delivery and I did not answer. CCTV camera's don't lie, HDNL do! I guess you work for HDLN or a close friend or relative does!
So many reviews and always the same complaint. 3460 reviews and how many are making the same complaint? Maybe you need to sit back and have a think, are 3459 people wrong or are you?

Well, at least my Amazon parcel was delivered on time to the right house.... It's just a shame that they hid it somewhere out in the rain without leaving a note. As a consequence it was sat outside for three days, and it was only after several phonecalls to HDNL that we ascertained where it was hidden... it was like hunting for Easter eggs. So I can only concur with all the bad reviews about them here, though I suppose nobody ever takes the time out to praise a delivery company for delivering on time so I am not sure how bad they really are. That said, I'd imagine you wouldn't "earn" thousands of bad reviews without having some serious delivery issues!

Terrible, 3 attempts to deliver a micro sd-card, 1st time they left a card, umm what about putting this small packet in my post box, the 2nd time they could not get in (my wife was at home, oh and the 1st time they got in the flats), then after two calls to amazon I was promised that the driver would call when they got to the flats, so I can tell them how to open the door and put the item in my post box. So 3rd attempt failed No call from the driver, so amazon refunded me the item and gave me compensation because of the shambles that is HDNL. Thank HDNL for the free item, so I can re-order and ensure you are not the delivery company. In future I shall place orders and call amazon and ensure they do not deliver it.

HDNL has never delivered the good I ordered on the internet on time. They have always missed the next-day delivery schedule. Very often they have delivered 2-3 days after the scheduled delivery date. I can't understand how online retailer such as Amazon can use this company. Maybe because it is cheaper than others and they want to save on what they should value most, i.e. customer satisfaction?

this is just criminal. 1st attempt I noticed on amazon that my parcel has status delivered. I was surprised so as I never got it so dug deeper... turns out that my parcel was "left on a porch"... well I live in a building of flats with a general public access... do not have to say I have never found my parcel... The "interesting" part is no card was left (remember this) 2nd attempt - parcel was resent by Amazon (they promised to use a different company - but nevermind) When I noticed Home Delivery BlackHole has my parcel again I went to their website right away (Thu) and resheduled delivery from Friday to Saturday. Happy that I have secured the delivery I have been waiting for the delivery guy and to finally see the people who do the magic (Disappearing expensive items). Looks like I have underestimated them as they apparently delivered the parcel on Friday... Left with a neighbour KELY... no flat number nothing.. Funny enough I have not received a card neither... Amazon is investigating - Home Delivery BullS will conduct a driver interview to find out which flat it went to and why no card. In the meantime I cannot build my PC and completely blown by a fact that amazon would associate themselves with this rubbish "company". I will be very wary of buying anything from amazon now because of risk they will use the "Magic Company".

this company is nothing but a joke ordered something for next day delivery website said it was at the Gloucester Depot at 04.48 then at 12.09 they posted that my parcel was at the wrong depot and has been loaded onto a van. Now the problem is i live just outside Gloucester so how many depots has this company in Gloucester so it seems yet again this company is going to fail to deliver. i can not understand why anyone would want to use such a useless company avoid them at all costs.

I am not kidding I have NEVER had a delivery from HDNL arrive on the day it is supposed to. NOT ONCE. Why on earth do Amazon insist on using them?? I'm so tired of having to get a refund for my postage...its not the money I care about its getting my goods on time, I hate waiting...and they just never ever manage it. Disgrace of a delivery company and the sooner Amazon stop using them the sooner they will hopefully go out of business!

HDNL seem to miss the vital components of being a delivery company - firstly, to actually deliver parcels, and secondly to knock on the right doors Ordered from Amazon on 30th December, parcel dispatched using HDNL and apparently delivered on 2nd January at 6pm - trouble being, I was at home but nobody tried to deliver a parcel!! So quite where they "delivered" it I'll never know, but they didn't even TRY the correct address. Contacted Amazon who were very helpful and now have a replacement on it's way via CityLink.

TV left the warehouse on Monday 18 February by HDNL. It took until Thursday to reach Inverness where it is still lying for delivery to Fort William. There seems to be no way of 'phoning to chase it up. On the same order was a Humax sset top box. That came by Yodel in 2 days. That drive stated that he cannot deliver anything that weighs over 30 Kg. so other carriers are brought in.

Amazon insists on sending some of my parcels with HDNL. Every time there is a delay, or it just wont get delivered. HDNL lie on their tracking info saying that they attempted to deliver and left cards but it's all rubbish. Rubbish, avoid.

I ordered an item for next day delivery, after many calls I was advised it had been delivered and left in my porch - the only flaw being I don't have one. I am now in the same position again having paid for next day delivery and receiving a text advising delivery would be made yesterday I am still waiting and cant believe a Company this big can trade without accepting customer calls.

Waited in all day for a delivery with Amazon joke "guaranteed delivery". Tracking said parcel sat at the local delivery HDNL depot since 7:45am this morning. Tracking recently said out for delivery and then 1 second later delivered. WOW fast vans or complete lies. My money is on the latter.... The item has not been delivered. Come on Amazon ditch HDNL/Yodel. Your customers are getting frustrated.

When i made an order on Amazon and seen that HDNL were delivering it, i hadn't heard of them before, as such i looked for reviews on line and was worried to say the least when i had read a lot of them. What i didn't realize though, that it was Yodel who had changed their name to HDNL. I've never had any trouble with them, received all of my orders on time with Yodel last year, and HDNL have done the same today. Can only speak for myself, and i guess it depends on the area, but I've never experienced any trouble with them.

I've already put more effort into this review than HDNL put into their customer service.

I followed my parcel being tracked all day, and seeing it was "on the van and out for delivery" I was optimistic. However, 6:30 pm came around and suddenly the status had changed to "delivery attempted, unable to gain access to the property", which is absolute rubbish. I have been in the front room all day, and live on a main road, no card has been left and no delivery attempt was made. I don't think the delivery drivers even try to locate a house if it's not somewhere immediately known to them. I think it should be standard practice to give drivers a contact number for the recipient and ENSURE they are contacted if there are any difficulties 'accessing the property'. I have telephoned and added a contact number to my delivery details (took 12 minutes and wasn't easy to explain!), so hopefully will get it tomorrow, however I'm not getting my hopes up.
