Just avoid this company! Customer service is unacceptable. I have placed my order and paid the whole amount on 27.12 , dwell promised to deliver on 29.12, the whole day I've been at home and was waiting for my delivery, it has not been delivered and nobody called me to let me know my delivery has been cancelled. Ok I re-arranged my delivery for 07.01 and again they cancelled. Complained about this situation and canceled my order, nobody even called to apologise.

After 3 years the Pisa sofa bed is crumbling. The fabric does not stand the test of time. It has cracked very badly and the seems have split. As Dwell have been taken over then the is no redress. No idea if the current version may have the same issue, but they do look very similar.

I ordered an item which had an issue. The girls that dealt with the issue were excellent and a credit to the company. Two ladies at the after care centre were very warm on the phone and in person. They solved the problem and I was very happy . The item was a statue and was a birthday gift yo my husband. It was lovely that she then sent an email wishing my husband a happy birthday .

Concerned I would experience bad service from Dwell, having read a lot of negative reviews, I decided to give the company ago. I am so glad I did. My order arrived approximately two weeks earlier than suggested. I received regular email updates on the status of my order, which was reassuring. The laptop table is good quality, sturdy/well made, and it looks really nice. I would not hesitate, based upon this experience, to recommend Dwell and I would definitely not hesitate to shop with the company again.

I've bough a £1,600 sofa from Dwell, supposedly warranted for 7 years. Afters only 6 MONTHS of gentle use (no children or pets) the stitches on the central part of the sitting cushions (very visible) started to come apart. I was REFUSED repair or refund under the simple 'justification' that they have since become COIN FURNITURE (who are happy to keep the name Dwell, but refuse to honor any commitment made with its customers). After just over 18 months I'm having to come back to this issue, as the state this sofa is in now is beyond words. There's now a huge tear due to the bad stitching and the material is basically disintegrating in several other areas. Quite disgusting and depressing to look at, really. I will be happy to provide pictures. I also have friends in the same situation with yet a DIFFERENT style of sofa bought from them.

Table arm faulty and dangerous to use due to the weight of the glass and with two children in the house. Dwell acknowledged fault, agreed to replace, went bust , reopened under same name, refused to honour replacement even though they had sight of the history and agreement. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THEM AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THEY KEEP BOMBARDING US WITH ADVERTS TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL ITEMS !!!!!!! SPENT OVER £2800 with them and this is our thanks........GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ----NOT! Be Warned, if you were a purchaser under the old Dwell you won't have a chance, even though we received a sweet email from the past director to be patient as he was working through the backlog of outstanding complaints. Turned out to be as empty as their flagship store now is in Cardiff!

Hi, I know your review is a couple of years old now but I wondered if you could let me know what your dining table is called, I only ask because our glass dining table exploded yesterday and I am trying to find out if there was a defect
Thank you :-)

We bought a dwell vienna sofa. Granted it was used but was less than a year old. It didn't fit well in the persons living room. It is faux leather and the quality is appalling. All the vinyl is peeling off. I contacted dwell and they are not interested as it was used even though it was less than a year old

WARNING, do not buy from this company. We bought some kitchen bar stools, The seat pad dropped causing a large spike to come up through the chair, this was so dangerous! We complained to dwell and they collected the chair for analysis and offered compensation, then the company went into receivership and they refused to compensate for the chair, so we have no chair! Do not part with any money with them.

I bought a couch from Dwell 14 months ago, and have had nothing but a bad experience. Firstly, I spilt a glass of water on the couch which seemed to leave a large stained patch. Granted, it was my fault spilling a glass of water but I would have expected a couch to stand up to a bit of water as normal wear and tear. On contacting dwell i was advised that there was nothing they could do (even though it was still in warantee) and that 'in the future' i 'should be more careful'. Now, 14 months after pruchase, the springs on the couch have gone. On contacting dwell yesterday I was told they went into administration, and the new company who purchased the brand no longer deal with the warantees and that I should contact the administrator and/or my bank for advice. I am not chasing this any further, given that because it is 14 months old it likely does not fall under 1 one year warantee anyway. Yet, a couch that after a mere 14 months of sitting on seems to have faulty springs is not acceptable in my books. I can't afford to buy a new one, and had bought this with a wedding gift (money), so had hoped it would set our new home up well. I would NEVER buy anything from Dwell again, and would advise others not too! Over priced rubbish!

Bought a dwell vienna corner sofa. This sofa was used but only a few months old and in perfect condition with no marks. Was only sold as it was too big for the persons room. About 6 months into using it the white faux leather on the cushions had begun peeling. This has gotten worse and looks terrible. Very poor quality product.

Avoid this company! Bought a Dwell Maine Bed in their New Year sale, website stated it was in stock. After taking online payment, I received email from Dwell stating the bed was out of stock and would be available at the of January (30 days after purchase). Eventually I was contacted by Dwell who arranged delivered for 12th February. I was told the delivery company would call on the morning of delivery, I gave dwell my mobile number to call on. They didn't call. I took the day off work and cleared the bedroom ready for the delivery from 7am on 12th February. At 10:15am I noticed a note had been left saying they called but we were out. We were in, and we have a doberman which would bark if anyone knocked on the door...but why didnt they ring the mobile number? There were two cars on the driveway and upstairs window was open. It was obvious we were home!!! We called the delivery company DSV (awful customer service) who then said the delivery driver was now out of our area and would not return, even though it was just 20 minutes since they left the card! Then the delivery company said it was up to us to call Dwell and re-arrange the delivery! Terrible poor service. We then called Dwell and cancelled the order because we were so disappointed with the terrible service from the beginning. They took our money even though they must have known the bed was out of stock, WE WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED IF WE HAD KNOWN IT WAS OUT OF STOCK, THEIR WEBSITE STATED IT WAS IN STOCK!!! Dwell obvioulsy take money from customers and then place orders with manufacturers. This sort of poor service should not be allowed!!

Baltic Sofa purchased from DWELL. After few months cushions lost shape. Sofa didn't look good and was very uncomfortable. After many e-mails, technician sent to our house, MORE EMAILS, cushions where replaced. After nearly 2 years cushions lost shape and metal springs get stuck into your body!!! I sent them photos of sofa and they reply to me bellow. DFS guaranty their products for 10 years. This makes DWELL far away from the top players. No wonder they ceased trading just a while ago.(25th June 2013) DWELL cannot make me buy from them again! Their product doesn't last! Dwell fails to get repeating customers!!! I e-mailed them 5 nov 2013, this is the reply I received 2 days later Good Morning, Thank you for your email, As you may or may not be aware, the company that you purchased your sofa from, Dwell Retail went into administration on the 25th June 2013 and therefore ceased trading from this date. We are a company called Coin Furniture Ltd who have purchased the Brand of ‘Dwell’ along with the database, website and six of the Dwell stores so that we are able to continue selling the ‘Dwell’ branded products. I do apologise that you have experienced various problems with the sofa that you purchased however, because Dwell Retail are no longer trading and the funds from your order were with them and not ourselves, we are unfortunately unable to provide any replacement pieces for products that were purchased through the previous company. Unfortunately any warranty or guarantee arrangements held with orders placed through Dwell Retail Ltd were invalidated when the company went into administration. Since your sofa was purchased, administration and brand take over there has been several changes in suppliers throughout the ranges so the supplier that was used when you purchased through Dwell Retail Ltd may not be the same supplier if it were a product that we were to stock. Please do not hesitate in contacting us again if you require any further information. Kind Regards Customer Care Advisor

Good afternoon,
You will be able to contact your original card provider regarding having faulty products and now the company has gone in to administration.
There is some more information about claiming for faulty goods on Martin Lewis website.

I've only ordered/bought two items from Dwell (about a year ago), a white gloss dining room table and a white gloss display case/shelving unit. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones (going by some of the reviews on here), but I didn't have any problems at all with delivery & the goods came on time and without damage. I even changed my mind a week or so after placing my original order (wanted to change one shelving unit for another) & didn't have any problems doing this, although had to chase a bit for the refund (there was a difference in price between the two), but still only took a couple of phone calls to sort that out. The delivery charge of £39 is a bit steep in my opinion, but lots of stores nowadays seem to charge high-ish delivery costs, so I guess Dwell is no different to many others. The only thing I would say, is that on close inspection of some items, you can see that the build-quality & materials used aren't really top end, but as long as you know this and are happy to go ahead & purchase anyway, then there's no problem. Overall, my experience shopping with them was fine & generally problem-free.

I ordered mirrors back in April, the delivery was delayed and then I found out from the newspaper Dwell went into administration and I lost £300! It is disgraceful they were still taking orders when knowing they are going bust!

I am really sorry to hear that you were one of the affected customers of the administration. I hope you received a letter from Duff & Phelps the administrators working on behalf of Dwell Retail Limited.
Should you require any support please do not hesitate to e-mail us including your order number so that we can review this for you, as we have limited access to the Dwell Retail system.

I AM ONE OF THE UNLUCKY PEOPLE WHO ORDRED FURNITURE FROM DWELL AND WILL NOT NOW RECEIVE IT. I WOULD STILL LIKE TO REPURCHASE THE FURNITURE, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THEIR SUPPLIER WAS?

Likewise. It would be good to find out the suppliers and still 0ffer them the business.

Sorry to hear you were one of the affected customers when Dwell Retail Limited went in to administration. Unfortunately, none of their suppliers would deal with members of the public as they only ship in quantities and not individual items.

I've probably spent about £6000 from Dwell over the past 18 moths. Things always arrived on time and nothing damaged at all. I was about to buy a coffee table too. Shame they've gone into receivership. Website down today.

Thank you for taking the time to add your feedback.
Coin Furniture Limited have purchased the "Dwell" brand and have been in talks with a lot of their old suppliers so we may have the item in stock you liked.

Purchased table and chairs and a sofa, the table arrived damaged and sofa is the wrong colour. Dwell offered to replace the goods but they were delayed (I don't believe they were ever reordered) Anyone waiting for a mink sofa can buy mine?

Good afternoon,
Dwell Retail Limited did place orders with their suppliers however, the down fall of the company was due to them not being able to meet many payments.
If you still have damaged items you may be able to process a charge-back if you paid with a debit/credit card.

I purchased a vase back in mid April. I did it over the phone and was told the product was on back order but that it had an estimated delivery time of 8 weeks and that it "had been so popular" they had a delay on the item!! The reality is that the supplier of this item clearly hadn't been paid so therefore no product for Dwell to sell in the first place!!! How disgusting that they should take payments, even still adding a delivery charge to your item?! Sadly ill pay the price as I didn't purchase it using a credit card but a debit card!! It may have just been a vase but it was £70!! I'm so annoyed with myself that I didn't see this coming!!! How awful that Dwell is able to leave its customers in such an awful position with not even an apology on their site, call their number and it simply says "sorry the lines are busy"!! No the lines have been cut off!! Absolutely disgraceful and shame on Dwell!!! A lesson learnt I guess, what a corrupt way to close a business, these actions should be made illegal, how can consumers be left so vulnerable?!

Order a chair for my son's 8th birthday (which is in September) ,back in April they have changed the delivery date 4 x,when I phoned 2x weeks ago they said it had been shipped and was in a container dock side! Now they have gone bust! Just hope I can get my money back through the credit card consumer act 75? Totally let down- how dare they take money with no extension of for filling orders!

I brought a red faux leather Vienna corner sofa and that too has crumbling fabric. It's awful as we spent £1400 on this sofa. It's just not fit for purpose. I would strongly advise anyone buying dwell faux leather products to not do so. Again coin furniture Ltd who took over the dwell brand name are saying they can't do anything for me as I brought the sofa before dwell was brought over.
